#023 - The Importance of a Pain Free Life
2025/10/31
Things we have learnt in this episode…
JP is a gym weirdo
JP is old
JP is better at everything than everyone else
JP has no interest in down hill mountain biking
Jenni has never not been fit (but if you go for her ankles you can take her out!)
Don’t try to change everything at once
Despite the weird amount of boasting in this episode, there’s also some useful stuff too:
Why you shouldn’t try to change everything at once
Why you should prioritise fun over everything else
Why setting parameters or goals is incredibly useful to make progress
Trying new things is good for the soul and great for your brain - have a think about the things that might be holding you back or have stopped you from trying new things in the past
Has there ever been a time when you’ve held yourself back because of pain, injury, weakness, lack of confidence etc?

#017 - Goal Setting & Tracking
2025/03/28
Have you ever set an outrageous goal?!
Did you achieve it??
Setting big, audacious goals can be both exciting and intimidating!. Today we discuss our own experience with goals, both big & small, and ways we’ve found to help us actually achieve them such as:
• Setting a goal you ACTUALLY want to do (not just something you *think* you should do)
• Discover if you work best with Process Goals, or Outcome Goals
• Make it manageable! What’s genuinely realistic for you & your life?
• Adjusting your identity to fit the outcome you want - it’ll be harder to go for a run 4 times a week if you don’t see yourself as a runner!
• ...And more!
What are your best tips for setting & achieving a goal?

2025/02/28
Last November I starting having some quite extreme hip pain that I hadn’t had for 8 years, not since my initial back injury that left me with 2 herniated discs…
I decided to go the full haul and get my hips, my lumbar spine, my shoulder that I injured badly years ago and my neck (I fell on my head a number of times)
