2026/09/28
A work truck pulls up, the driver hops out, and suddenly I’m face-to-face with someone from a chapter of life I haven’t opened in years. That moment kicks off a run of surprise reunions that left me honestly stunned and deeply grateful, because both visits came with the same message: you never really know who you matter to, or how long a small act of time, attention, and kindness can last. We also talk about Pat’s Peeps becoming more than a podcast, including a time-sensitive Rose Bowl Parade and Rose Bowl Game tour that “just popped up” with deluxe hotel stays, reserved grandstand parade seats, end zone Rose Bowl seats, transportation, and classic Los Angeles stops. If you’ve been looking for a hosted group travel experience with built-in community, this is the kind of trip that turns listeners into traveling friends. Then we head to Oracle Park for Dodgers vs Giants on a day that meant more than the score, as Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow takes his final bow after years battling inclusion body myositis. I share why I respect Krukow and Kuiper so much, why great broadcasters shape the way we love baseball, and I play part of Dwayne Kuiper’s emotional tribute that hits you right in the chest. If any of this connects with you, subscribe, share the episode with a friend who loves baseball or nostalgia, and leave a review so more people can find Pat’s Peeps. Who’s someone from your past you’d want to hear from again?

Ep. 518 Today's Peep Gets Ugly & Violent- Sports Fan Rage, NFL Fans Destroying Their TV's (or their friends tv's) After A Loss, You Can Love Your Team Without Losing Control And Flesh & Blood
2026/09/24
A team loses and suddenly someone’s punching a brand-new flat screen, hurling a TV off a balcony, or trashing a living room while their family stands there stunned. We can all relate to the gut-punch of a bad call or a blown lead, but the viral “angry NFL fan” trend takes it to a place that’s expensive, dangerous, and honestly embarrassing. We walk through why this happens, from the raw adrenaline of high-stress moments to the way alcohol lowers the guardrails. We also dig into the modern accelerants: sports betting, high-stakes fantasy football, and that warped feeling that you didn’t just watch a loss, you personally lost something. And when someone records it, the meltdown can shift from a private problem to a public performance, traded for likes on TikTok, X, and YouTube. Along the way, I share how I learned to cool my jets without losing my love for the game, plus why smashing things in front of kids teaches the worst possible lesson about disappointment and self-control. Then we pivot to a rare record moment with Johnny Cash for a reminder that real life is flesh and blood, not a scoreboard. If you’ve ever felt your pulse spike during a game, this one’s for you. Subscribe, share it with your favorite die-hard fan, and leave a review with your take: where should the line be between passion and losing control?

Ep. 513 Today's Peep Presents A Monday Pop Culture Mashup: Pumpkin Spice Diplomacy, Moron On The Field, Live Call In Talk Show Prank Calls, NFL Week One Reactions, And We Take A Ride On A Vintage Carousel (circa 1967)
2026/09/14
A 19-inch “deluxe” portable TV ad drops us into a different era, and then we snap right back to the present with a Monday check-in from Northern California and a full-speed ride through whatever the day is serving up. We keep it loose, opinionated, and honest, the way talk radio is supposed to feel when you’re starting the week and want something that moves. First up is an NFL Week 1 recap with real fan energy: the weird results, the early storylines, and the teams already making people sweat. We hit the Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals, Chargers, Vikings, Cowboys, Giants, Browns, Bills and more, with a special dose of disbelief aimed at Cleveland and the Deshaun Watson gamble. If you’ve been searching for a 2026 NFL Week 1 reaction that sounds like the barstool conversation you actually want, you’ll know the vibe immediately. Then the mood turns sharper with a reaction to the Yankees vs Mets moment on the 9/11 anniversary when a fan runs onto the field with a Palestinian flag, and the stadium response becomes the story. From there, “Random Monday” kicks in: a viral Starbucks pumpkin spice clip framed around identity and stereotypes, followed by a wild montage of public access TV call-ins that reminds you how unfiltered live television used to be. We land the plane with something simple and satisfying: a rare 45 from the shelf and The Hollies’ “On a Carousel.” If you like smart sports talk, culture commentary, and audio clips that make you say “no way that happened,” subscribe, share the episode, and leave a review so more people can find the show.
Ep. 512 Today's Peep Gets Bounced By The 49ers, A Stunned 916 Rams Booster Club From The Rock N Brew, Then Its Off To Colfax Kabobs As Darlyne "With A Y" Gets To Gloat And Share Early 49ers, Raiders, A's, Oaks & Seals Memories

Ep. 511 Today's Peep Presents Kickoff Day Loyalty, How One Childhood Afternoon Turned A Nor Cal Boy Into A Ram Fan, No Naps When Roman Gabriel Is Throwing, What Makes A Fan Remain Loyal When Growing Up In Niner & Raider Land
2026/09/10
Kickoff day always makes people ask me the same thing, and I get it: how does a guy from Sacramento become a Los Angeles Rams fan for life while living in the heart of 49ers country? The answer is not a hot take or a bandwagon story. It’s a specific memory, a living room, a forbidden nap, and one helmet logo that grabbed me before I even understood football. I take you back to the Rams of the 1960s, the Fearsome Foursome aura, and the instant pull of Roman Gabriel and that unmistakable horn. From there, the story turns into what real NFL fandom looks like over decades: knowing the deep roster names, meeting heroes like Jack Snow, and carrying those friendships and memories forward long after the moment passes. Then we hit the grind years and the glory years. I talk about chasing Rams games before streaming made it easy, the weird joy of early bar mornings with other fans, and the franchise DNA that keeps trying new things. We also relive one of my favorite “how is this real?” football moments: hearing a game come alive on a crackly AM dial during a rainy 1977 move, and later spotting a Rams sticker on a Euro League quarterback who turns out to be Kurt Warner, the spark that leads to the Greatest Show on Turf and a Super Bowl run. If you’ve ever loved a team for reasons you can’t fully explain, you’ll get this one. Subscribe, share it with a friend who bleeds their colors, and leave a review with the moment that made you a fan.
