How a Mexican Learned English: Tips From an English Teacher (Intermediate English Interview)
2026/10/15
In this episode, I talk with my good friend Rogelio from Mexico. When we first met, I was just learning Spanish and he was just learning English, so I’ve always spoken to him in Spanish and he’s answered me in English. Today, Rogelio is an English teacher in Guadalajara, Mexico! 🇲🇽
He shares exactly how he learned English:
✅ Finding his “why” for learning English
✅ Studying on his own with videos, podcasts, and audiobooks
✅ Full immersion during a six-month internship in California
✅ Why you should practice with people whose English is better than yours
✅ His funny “yellow” vs. “jello” pronunciation story
How are you learning English? Do you have a funny pronunciation story? Let me know!

2026/09/23
Read and listen to a beginner English short story about Omar’s first day at a new school! 🏫 He feels nervous, meets his new teacher, makes a mistake in math, and makes a new friend at recess.
In this episode, I:
✅ Read the whole story slowly and clearly

✅ Teach a grammar tip: using “must” when you’re sure (“You must be Omar!”)
✅ Finish with a short comprehension quiz
It’s great for beginner English learners, kids and adults, and anyone practicing their listening and pronunciation. Feel free to pause, rewind, and read along at your own pace. No rush. Learning takes time, and that’s okay! 😊

2026/09/21
In this video, my husband and I sit down and share our personal story of why we decided to leave Northern Portugal at an intermediate English Level. 🇵🇹
We talk honestly about what life was like, what made us finally decide to go, and what we've learned from the experience. Have you ever left a place you called home? Tell us your story in the comments.

English for Women - Covering periods, pregnancy, and Peri-menopause
2026/05/28
Learn real English for women’s health: how to talk about your period, pregnancy, and perimenopause in natural, everyday English. 🌸
In this ladies-only episode, I teach the words, slang, and idioms native speakers really use, so you can talk to a friend, explain how you’re feeling, or speak with a doctor in English. These are topics most textbooks skip, but we all need them in real life!
You’ll learn:
✅ Periods: how to casually say you’re on your period, the four phases of your cycle, and common period products
✅ Pregnancy: fun idioms like “a bun in the oven,” what “showing” means, and vocabulary for labor and giving birth
✅ Perimenopause: what it means, plus real words for symptoms like hot flashes and irregular cycles
Which word or idiom was new to you? Let me know!

Note: This episode is for English learning, not medical advice.
