Another Trip Around the Sun: What I’m Taking With Me and What I’m Leaving Behind
2026/10/21
What are you taking with you into your next year, and what are you ready to leave behind? In this birthday episode, Kelli and I sit down for an honest, hopeful, and fun conversation about getting older, living more fully, and deciding what still belongs in our lives. We talk about leaving behind overexplaining, the need for everyone’s approval, and the belief that our worth depends on how much we can carry. We also share what we are saying yes to, including faith, ordinary joy, new experiences, healthy relationships, laughter, and people who are consistent, honest, and safe. We close with my favorite scripture, Jeremiah 29:11, and the reminder that we can step into a new year with hope even when we cannot see everything ahead. What are you taking with you, and what are you ready to release?
The Things We Never Thought We’d Miss
2026/10/14
Some of the things we once could not wait to be done with become the things we miss most. The toys on the floor. Cartoons playing in the background. Children calling “Mom” all day. The packed calendar and noise of a full house. In this warm and nostalgic conversation, Kelli and I talk about motherhood, children growing up, changing roles, and the ordinary family moments we never expected to miss. We also laugh about Saturday morning cartoons, Blockbuster, paper maps, dial-up internet, and the parts of the past we are happy to leave behind. You do not have to treasure every task or love every season perfectly. Sometimes it is enough to notice one good thing, thank God for one ordinary moment, and remember that something happening today may become a memory you treasure later. Grab your coffee and join us for The Things We Never Thought We’d Miss.
When the Life You Knew No Longer Fits
2026/10/07
Have you ever looked at your life and thought, “I know this is my life, but I don’t quite recognize it anymore?” Children grow up. Roles change. Your health, energy, or capacity shifts. The rhythm that once worked no longer fits, and you begin to question who you are in this new season. In this conversation, Kelli and I talk about changing roles, adult children, accepting help, adjusting our expectations, and separating our identity from how much we can carry. We also talk about trusting God when we cannot see the full road ahead and remembering that He often gives us enough light for the next step. If you are living between the life you knew and the life that is still taking shape, this conversation is for you.
Why Do I Keep Confusing Chemistry with Compatibility?
2026/09/23
Have you ever felt an instant connection with someone, only to find yourself confused about where you stood? 💜 Chemistry can feel powerful, but it cannot tell you whether someone is honest, emotionally available, or ready to build the same kind of relationship you want. In this episode, Raynea and Kelli discuss: 💜 Why intensity can feel like love 💜 The difference between chemistry and compatibility 💜 Why healthy love may feel unfamiliar 💜 How willingness matters more than perfection 💜 What healthy love actually looks like Chemistry tells you that you feel something. Compatibility tells you whether you can build something. If you have ever mistaken a strong connection for a healthy relationship, this episode is for you. 🎙️💜
Are You in Love… or Are You Triggered?
2026/09/16
What if the relationship you cannot stop thinking about is not proof that you found the love of your life? What if part of that intensity comes from uncertainty, an old wound, or the fear of losing them? In this episode, Raynea and Kelli talk about how to recognize the difference between genuine love and an activated nervous system. They discuss why inconsistency can make feelings stronger, why reconnecting is not the same as repairing, and how to look at the relationship being offered today instead of the one you hope it could become. Your love may have been real. The connection may have mattered. But you can love someone and still recognize that the pattern is hurting you. You can honor what was meaningful without returning to what was unhealthy.
Why Inconsistency Makes You More Attached | Intermittent Reinforcement
2026/09/09
Why does someone’s inconsistency make you feel more attached instead of helping you walk away? One day they are loving, attentive, and connected. Then they pull away without warning. When they finally return, the relief feels so intense that it can be mistaken for deeper love. In this episode, we explain intermittent reinforcement and how unpredictable attention affects your mind, body, and nervous system. We also talk about: 💜 Why inconsistent attention can keep you emotionally attached 💜 Why you keep checking your phone and replaying conversations 💜 Why relief can feel like love 💜 How to stop feeding an unhealthy relationship cycle 💜 What healthy, consistent love looks and feels like Your feelings may be real, but intensity does not always mean a relationship is healthy. You can love someone, miss them, and still choose peace, consistency, honesty, and emotional safety.
Why You Keep Chasing Someone Who Keeps Leaving | Anxious Attachment
2026/09/02
Why does someone pulling away make you want them even more? In this episode of Breaking the Silence, Raynea and Kelli explore why distance can activate your attachment system and leave you feeling desperate to restore connection, even when you know the relationship is hurting you. We talk about the anxious-avoidant cycle, abandonment wounds, intermittent reinforcement, protest behaviors, and why someone’s return can bring relief without changing the relationship. You’ll also learn how to: 💜 Pause before acting from panic 💜 Stop carrying the relationship alone 💜 Look at patterns instead of promises 💜 Set boundaries without abandoning compassion 💜 Recognize the difference between love and relief from anxiety 💜 Trust that forgiveness does not require unlimited access You can love someone, miss them, and accept that they may have cared about you. You can also stop chasing a relationship that requires you to abandon yourself to keep it alive. Healthy love moves toward you too. It communicates, repairs, and stays present.

2026/08/19
Do you want love, but find yourself pulling away when someone gets too close? Maybe you shut down during conflict, avoid difficult conversations, or create distance when a relationship starts to feel serious. You may not understand why you do it, especially when part of you wants connection. In this episode, we talk about why avoidant attachment can cause you to push people away, how old protection patterns show up in adult relationships, and what you can do to begin responding differently. This conversation is not about blaming or shaming you. It is about helping you understand what you may be protecting, recognize the moment fear takes over, and take small steps toward healthier connection. Grab your favorite drink, get comfortable, and join us for an honest conversation about avoidant attachment, healing, faith, and learning to stay when your instinct tells you to leave.
Can Avoidants Have Healthy Relationships? What Healing Actually Looks Like
2026/08/12
Can someone with an avoidant attachment style have a healthy relationship? Yes, but healing takes more than finding the right person or being loved enough. It requires willingness, self-awareness, ownership, and consistent action. In this episode, Raynea and Kelli talk about why closeness can feel unsafe for an avoidant, what healing actually feels like, and the difference between someone who is imperfect and someone who is unwilling. You will learn what active healing looks like, how trust is rebuilt through repeated experiences, and why attachment may explain hurtful behavior but never excuses it. You do not have to be fully healed to begin. You do have to be willing to heal.
