Episode #110 - THE CROW (1994) // "CAPTAIN HOOK AND HIS FREAKY SIBLING?!"
2026/10/09
It's Devils night here on the Horror Roulette Podcast as we talk about the iconic gothic action film from 1994, The Crow. We touch on the tragedy that surrounds the film and how the sudden death of it's star, Brandon Lee, effected the films legendary status and the careers of those who starred alongside him. We're spreading our wings as we talk about gothic iconography, the folk lore around Crows and Ravens and how we feel about Myca and Top Dollar as the villains So stick around to find out whether we found The Crow... Spooky or Dookie?
Episode #109 - NIGHT OF THE DEMONS // "ANUS TATTOOS AND HALLOWEEN STORIES?!"
2026/10/02
It's the first Halloween spin and boy have the fates picked a great film for us all to kick off the Halloween season. For episode 109, we will be covering 1988 cult classic, Night of the Demons. From the epic one liners, gratuitous body count, the deeper meaning behind the Alice in Wonderland imagery and this films reference to it's inspiration, leads us to talk about the multiple horror films Night of the Demons went on to inspire and how this film has held up these nearly 40 years. So strap the f**k in as we get possessed at Hull House and get excited about the amazing practical effects and exciting 80's musical score. Stick around until dawn when we tell you whether we found Night of the demons... Spooky or Dookie?
Episode #108 - RINGU (1998) // "WELL... ONE WEEK?!"
2026/09/25
Well well well, the fates have chosen 1998's J-Horror classic, Ringu. A film that has informed horror cinema ever since it's release. If you excuse the constant tangents and puns and down right awful name pronunciations, you might find our takes some what interesting and maybe even insightful as we talk about the connection between the well, the TV and mirror, linking as ghost portals to another plane. It felt almost impossible not to compare this to it's western contemporary. What this film does better and how the American remake took what this offered and in some ways, elevated the scares and in others, chose rather strange alternatives. Stick around to find out whether we found Ringu... Spooky or Dookie?
HRP REVIEW: RESIDENT EVIL (2026)
2026/09/20
RESIDENT EVIL!!! (In a main menu voice) Join us for our SPOILER FREE review of Zach Cregger's video game to film adaptation of Anthony's beloved, Resident Evil. Early reports have this one pegged as a horror fan's wet dream regardless of the Resident Evil video game fans being concerned about the continutity of the game to films vision in the hands of artistic license taken by the film's modern day autuer. Can this film only be enjoyed by the die hard RE game fans? Or can it be enjoyed by action horror fans too? In a perfect world, IT COULD BE BOTH! There's plenty of Easter egg chat as Anthony visibly gushes all over to pod lair when the f**k yeah film factoids are shared. Episode #107 - THE CRAFT // "GROUP CHATS AND THICC GOTH BADDIES?!"
2026/09/18
For this Friday's wheel spin the fates have picked a coming of age movie for most millennial girls, gays and theys; that's right we're invoking Manon with, The Craft. This week we just can't stop talking about the iconic cast and what a year 1996 was Neve Campbell and Skeet Ulrich. A trigger warning for the sensitive subjects this film deals with as we talk suicide and racism and how this film chooses to portray them. Is The Craft a product of its time? Or are we still able to take lessons from it in more contemporary time? Or like most things... does it lay somewhere inbetween? Come and be Nellie's, Anthony's and Kiddo's fourth and find out whether we found The Craft... Spooky or Dookie?
HRP REVIEW: PRACTICAL MAGIC 2 (2026)
2026/09/16
On today's SPOILER FREE review we're going to talk about the ultimate spooky girl comfort watch sequel - Practical Magic 2. A fun watch for the whole family as we took our kiddo along to this one. Anthony set his expectations on the fact that Nicole Kidman is a stone cold FOX and Nellie was ready to break the curse. We're talking semantics this episode and how lesbianism could actually break the curse with some tongue action and some well made soup. So come for the perfect kick off to spooky season and stay for the aviator hamster (IYKYK) Head over to patreon for more Horror Roulette podcast content. www.patreon.com/horrorroulettepodcast

We're joining our favourite unlikely hero Ash Williams as Nellie bubbles over with her undying crush. We're talking character development (or regression) bigger budgets, practical effects and geysers of blood. Are we getting caught up in underwhelming deadite transformations or is Evil Ash our hear me out? Stick around for Anthony's fun facts and whether we found Army of Darkness... Spooky or Dookie?
Episode #105 - SHAUN OF THE DEAD // "WHICH VINYLS WOULD WE THROW AT ZOMBIES AND WHICH WOULD WE KEEP?!"
2026/09/04
It's Friday and don't we have another wheel spin for you... This week we're keeping it local and working class with greatest zom-com ever, that's right sickos, it's Shaun of the Dead! If you don't mind sifting through 10s of 1000s of quotes you'll find some truly insightful commentary on the message of the 2004 horror adjacent classic from the mind's of Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg. We're talking foreshadowing and call backs of the intelligence and intentional writing style that was perfectly complimented by it's fast paced editing that went on to inspire and inform the genre. We're also talking perfect zombie killing household weapons, including which vinyls we would dash and which we'd save for a late night 4 IN THE F*****G MORNING sesh after a few cheeky ones down the local pub. Come for the movie talk but stay for Nellie's fan theories and ability to give a 'puddle' depth and after that Anthony has some F**K YEAH level of facts for you that you may not know yet! So what do you think? Will we decide if Shaun of the Dead is... Spooky or Dookie?
HRP REVIEW: LEVITICUS (2026)
2026/09/02
Not another SPOILER FREE bonus episode! This time we're trying not to spoil Adrian Chiarella's, Leviticus. Starring the incredible Joe Bird from a little horror you may have already heard of, Talk To Me... One! When the F**K did 'Alice in Wonderland' get old enough to become a mum?! Two! Homophobia is really f*****g stupid isn't it?! We talk about the religious hypocrisy in this one and how this tight net community of hate lends it's nefarious nature so perfectly to the horror of Leviticus. Anthony talks about how the director came to the decisions when planning and directing the film in his F##K YEAH FILM FACTOIDS and both hosts delve the deepest they ever have into religion; someone may catch fire in this one folks so tune in. HRP REVIEW: TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA (2026)
2026/08/31
It's time for another SPOILER FREE bonus episode and this week we're talking about Jane Shoenbrun's latest film that has taken the horror community by storm, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, starring every bisexual millennial woman's gay awakening, Gillian Anderson! Without revealing too much we talk about the fantastical narrative and dialogue from this film. How this slasher plays homage beautifully to the slasher genre whilst not shying away from it's problematic roots but not taking it to heart. We briefly compare the style of this to another polarising horror by Shoenbrun, I Saw The TV Glow and how the set design in this film could be the most beautiful part of this already beautiful queer horror. Episode #104 - SPEAK NO EVIL // "ON THE 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY, IRONICALLY, SPEAKING SOME EVIL?!"
2026/08/28
It's Episode 104 and we've officially been doing this for 2 years! We've once again left our Friday movie viewing in the hands of the fates and although we hoped for something light hearted, we were given Speak No Evil (2024), not to be confused with See No Evil Starring WWF's Kane. IYKYK! We can't help but compare this film with it's original Danish version and how the cultural differences and expectations play a part in the demise of the Dalton family. Although the physical scares are not present until the final act this film does an incredible job of making you squirm in your seat. Anthony graces us with his F**k Yeah Film Factiods and we discover a beautiful kismit moment in beloved bleak horror and ask the question...scrunch or fold? Stick around until the end for the most important question, whether Speak No Evil is... Spooky or Dookie ?

Episode #103 - YOU WON'T BE ALONE // "GROUP MASTURBATION AND COMMUNISM?!"
2026/08/21
The witch wheel has been spun and for episode 103 we are talking about Goran Stolevski's 2022 folk tale, You Won't Be Alone. We talk about the way this beautiful haunting tale has stuck with us the past few days and how our feelings have grown and evolved in that time. We touch on our feelings about a slow burn; is day time horror really horror? And even though you aren't "scared", how it still counts under the horror umbrella. After all that jibber jabber, Anthony's F**K YEAH FILM FACTOIDS full on animorph into some Macedonian folklore and cryptids which really gets us going before revealing whether we found You Won't be Alone... Spooky or Dookie? www.patreon.com/HorrorRoulettePodcast
