Matthew Iwanyk fills in for Hernan Salas, and he joins Joaquin Gage and Zach Kubusch talking about the Olympic opening ceremonies and the Super Bowl coming up on Sunday.   Hernan's World and Zach to the Future also happened during the first hour.

Plus what is your favourite winter Olympic sports outside of hockey.  Down south, we head to San Francisco to preview Super Bowl LX. Nick Cattles from Locked on Patriots phones into the program to describe Super Bowl week, diving into the matchup on the field. What needs to go right for the Pats to pull this one out? Is it shocking to see that the Seahawks are favourites? How does New England need to shut down the lethal offence of the Hawks? To close it out the boys talk about Seth Jarvis replacing Brayden Point from Team Canada, 

The Olympic break begins for the Edmonton Oilers, who've lost their past three games, dropping a 4-3 decision to the Calgary Flames last night. How did they perform? Is this break needed for the Oilers? What should the club try to focus on once they get going again? Hosts Hernan Salas and former Oilers goalie Joaquin Gage hit the ice to pick apart the game. They get into Highlights/Lowlights to illustrate what went wrong. They also note some things Leon Draisaitl expressed about his team's play as of late, before diving into the rest of the Oilers' crew.

Aazam Ali Nanji from Sportsnet 960 in Calgary joins the show to preview the final Battle of Alberta of the season.  Panarin discussion continues with the Fourth Period's Dennis Bernstein as he checks in to give his initial thoughts on the move. Plus what should we expect from the Oilers tonight, do they mail it in or go all out before the Olympic break. 

One last dance for the Edmonton Oilers before the Olympic break. Hernan Salas and Joaquin Gage describe the Oilers 5-2 loss to the Leafs, dissecting what transpired against the Toronto during Highlights/Lowlights before looking ahead to faceoff in Cow Town. Will the Oilers start flat-footed, knowing that they have a break coming up? What should we know about the home squad down the road? Right off the hop of the show, some breaking news coming from the NHL with Artemi Panarin being shipped out to LA for Liam Greentree and a conditional third-round pick. ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report the trade.

Salas and Gage go around the NHL discussing Sam Bennett replacing the injured Anthony Cirelli on Team Canada for the upcoming Olympics. They also talk some F1 and does anyone watch the Pro Bowl?  Plus, Terry Koshan from the Toronto Sun joins the boys for the Leafs side of things. We head back to ice level when tapping into the Screw It, Let's Do It NHL parlay, putting some cash on the games tonight.  

It's the eighth and final game for the Edmonton Oilers at home as they face the Maple Leafs tonight. Will the Oilers get back on their feet and prove they're a better team than the Leafs? Who gets the start? Any adjustments to the lineup?  And Connor McDavid wrote an article on The Players' Tribune called 'Dear Canada,' where he addressed his passion for hockey, expressing how much he wants to win it all, and win with Edmonton. Hernan and Joaquin share their thoughts on the article to try their best to understand the mind of McDavid.  Edmonton Elks Kordell Jackson checks in with the boys as well!   

We nose around the NHL, discussing the top stories from the game, including the Stadium Series, where Team Canada forward Anthony Cirelli left the game early due to injury. In the game, we also saw a big goalie tilt! Later on, we share some perspective on the Maple Leafs, as they've reportedly opened their doors to begin the selling process. The guys then cook up a three-leg parlay on the NHL games tonight. Marking their first three-game win streak of the season, the Oilers swam past the Sharks to survive 4-3 in overtime. And some more news coming from the Elks, with QB Tre Ford being released by the team. Hernan Salas and Joaquin Gage get fired up to recap the thrilling Oilers game, explaining the good and bad shown by the Edmonton squad. Three goals on five shots against for Connor Ingram, some lazy play in the first, but also so demanding a drive in the later portions of the game. Hernan's Noticias goes around the NHL and the boys get wild during Zach to the Future as Gager, Hernan and producer Zach 'Koob' Kubusch play a trivia-based game where Koob has to answer 80s and 90s music, pop culture, and sports-related questions.

(17:21) In Elks news, the Green and Gold have inked former All-CFL receiver Austin Mack to a two-year deal, with Mack rejoining his former QB Cody Fajardo. Mack won the Grey Cup with Fajardo in 2023 and has also gotten some opportunities in the NFL throughout his career. Mack shares some of his time with the fellas to talk about the deal.

Arguably, the two most electric hockey players in the NHL, Connor McDavid and Macklin Celebrini, go head-to-head from Rogers Place tonight, with hosts Hernan Salas and Joaquin Gage chomping into the contest. Salas and Gager continue  to preview the Oilers/Sharks game and discuss Artemi Panarin who was scratched by the Rangers yesterday against the Islanders and is expected to sit out through the Olympic break unless they can deal the pending free agent. Where might he fit best? Which team has their name in the hat for the Russian winger?  Plus the Edmonton Elks sign top receiver Austin Mack and another segment of the Red Light District! 

In hour 2 Gager and Salas continue the discussion on the Jack Rosolovic and Noah Philp.
