Arkansas baseball LOCKING IN after Missouri series victory

The No. 22 Arkansas Razorbacks (29-16) are up two spots in D1 Baseball's Top-25 rankings, and for good reason. The Hogs are fresh off a series victory against the Missouri Tigers. Arkansas opened the series with a 5–4 comeback win, highlighted by a go-ahead two-run homer from Zack Stewart in the 8th inning. Missouri had jumped out early, but Arkansas chipped away and used late power to steal the opener. The Razorbacks followed with a 6–0 shutout, getting dominant pitching and timely offense. The win clinched the series for Arkansas and continued Missouri’s offensive struggles. Missouri avoided the sweep with a 6–1 victory. The Tigers jumped on Arkansas early with a big first inning and backed it up with strong relief pitching. The No. 22 Arkansas Razorbacks are back in action this week against in-state foe Little Rock and the No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend in Tuscaloosa. The Hogs recently lost the Auburn series after an 8-3 loss on Saturday afternoon. The Razorbacks will have a chance to rebound big against the top-10-ranked Crimson Tide. Carter Rutenbar leads the Razorbacks with an 11-game streak of getting on base. He also leads the Razorbacks in batting average with an impressive .379 clip. ARIZONA ON UPSET ALERT? Acuff leads Hogs into Sweet Sixteen

The dance continues for the Arkansas Razorbacks... but can the Hogs defeat No. 1 seed Arizona? The fourth-seeded Hogs recently ended No. 12 seed High Point's Cinderella run after a 94-88 victory in the second round. According to the NCAA, No. 1 Arizona was picked by 18.08 percent of fans to win the tournament, the second-highest percentage, behind Duke's 25.12 percent. Arkansas brings one of the best offenses in college hoops to the Sweet 16. Standout freshman guard Darius Acuff Jr. is averaging 30.0 points per game in the NCAA Tournament thus far.
FINAL FOUR BOUND? Arkansas brings hot offense into March Madness

The No. 4 seed Arkansas Razorbacks are going dancing. Arkansas earned the No. 4 seed after beating Vanderbilt 86-75 in the SEC Championship on Sunday. Shortly thereafter, the Hogs were picked as the fourth seed in the West Region.   The Razorbacks are slated to take on No. 13 Hawai'i in Portland, Oregon, at the Moda Center on Thursday, March 19. The game will be televised on TBS at 3:25 p.m. It is the third time the two programs have played on the hardwood, with the first two meetings occurring on back-to-back days in 1977 in Honolulu. Arkansas finished the year 26-8 in addition to being crowned SEC Tournament champions. The Hogs finished as SEC runner-up during the regular season. Hawai'i (24-8) beat UC Irvine in the Big West Tournament finals and finished second in Big West play. Should Arkansas win its first-round matchup, the Razorbacks would face the winner of No. 5 seed Wisconsin and No. 12 seed High Point on Saturday, March 21, in Portland. The Razorbacks hold a career NCAA Tournament record of 52-36, and hold a strong record in first-round games, at 20-8.
Razorbacks enter SEC tournament on hot streak; Can they win it all?

After the Hogs' 34-point loss to Florida, the Razorbacks rebounded to win their final two regular-season games of the year against Texas (105-85) and Missouri (88-84). Newly christened SEC Player of the Year and SEC Freshman of the Year, Darius Acuff Jr., leads the Hogs in assists and points going into the postseason. To end the regular season, Arkansas finished 23-8 overall and finished tied second in the SEC with a 13-5 conference record. The Razorbacks bring one of the nation's best scoring offenses into the postseason. The Hogs are 4th in the nation in points per game. However, the defense will need to play up a level. The Razorbacks' defense is allowing 80 points per game, which ranks 330 out of 365 D1 basketball teams. Can Darius Acuff Jr., and Meleek Thomas lead the Razorbacks to an SEC title?
NIGHTMARE IN FLORIDA! Sully, Coach Z and Ernie Murry react as Florida destroys Arkansas 111-77

Florida clinched a share of the SEC title after thrashing Arkansas 111-77 on Saturday. It tied Coach John Calipari's worst loss of his career, next to a 2018 blowout against Duke. Calipari was with Kentucky at the time. The Gators moved to 23-6 and 14-2 in SEC play and went unbeaten in February. Former Razorback guard Boogie Fland, now at Florida, poured it on his former team. Fland was one of seven gators who scored double figures. Billy Richmond III led the Hogs with 22 points. Standout freshman guard Darius Acuff Jr., who leads the SEC in points and assists, finished with 17 points and six assists. Arkansas moves to 21-8 on the year and 11-5 in conference play.
