Description

Self-worth. Confidence. Midlife. What comes next. Welcome to The Last Laugh: No Apologies-real conversations for women in midlife who are ready for more of themselves in their own lives. Hosted by Kristine Christiansen, creator and host of The Last Laugh: No Apologies, each episode brings honest stories, relatable conversations, and meaningful perspective shifts around self-worth, confidence, self-trust, people-pleasing, choosing yourself, and figuring out what you want next. Because midlife doesn't have to be about having everything figured out. Sometimes it's about finally asking questions you haven't had room to ask: What do I want now? What would change if I trusted myself more? What have I been putting off for someday? What if I stopped putting myself last? And what might still be possible for me? You can love parts of the life you have and still want more. You can be grateful and still want something that's yours. And you don't need to have the rest of your life figured out to start paying attention to what comes next. Real life. Real talk. Real hope. Worthy. Unapologetic. Unshakeable.

WHAT IF YOU JUST DIDN'T?
2026/10/23
Who decided how you're supposed to live your life? And why are you still following their rules? Be a good mom. Keep everybody happy. Don't disappoint anyone. Be realistic. Act your age. Put yourself last. Sound familiar? Somewhere along the way, women pick up a whole collection of unwritten rules about who they're supposed to be, what they're allowed to want, and how much of themselves they're expected to give away. And after following those rules for years, we sometimes forget to ask whether we actually agree with them. In this episode of The Last Laugh: No Apologies, we're having a refreshingly honest (and slightly rebellious!) conversation about expectations, people-pleasing, getting older, and the freedom that comes from questioning what you've always believed you're supposed to do. Because loving your family, being responsible, and caring about others shouldn't mean giving up your own voice. What You'll Learn: Why so many women follow expectations they've never consciously agreed to.The difference between saying yes because you want to and saying yes because you feel obligated. Why getting older doesn't mean your possibilities have to get smaller. How fear of disappointing others can influence everyday decisions. Why wanting something different doesn't make you selfish or ungrateful. You don't have to turn your whole life upside down to start questioning the rules you've been living by. Sometimes it starts with one little question: What if you just didn't? 🎧 Listen, share with a woman who needs this reminder, and remember... The last laugh is yours. They Didn't See This Coming
2026/10/16
What if the biggest thing holding you back isn't what other people believe about you...but what you've been believing about YOURSELF? We've all had moments when we've questioned our abilities, doubted our decisions, or convinced ourselves we're just not the kind of woman who can do certain things. But what if those old stories aren't true anymore? In this special 100th episode of The Last Laugh: No Apologies, we're celebrating the courage to begin, the determination to keep going through the messy middle, and the incredible things that can happen when you stop counting yourself out. Because the real last laugh isn't about getting the people who doubted you to believe in you. It's about believing in YOURSELF, whether they do or not. What You'll Learn in This Episode:How old beliefs and past experiences can quietly convince you that you're not capable of more. Why the messy middle matters and why you don't have to feel confident every day to keep moving forward. How to stop letting other people's opinions determine what winning looks like for you.Why celebrating your progress matters, even when you haven't reached every goal.A simple 1-Minute Confidence Hack to help you stop underestimating yourself and start recognizing what you're capable of.Whether you're rebuilding your confidence, starting over, or finally giving yourself permission to pursue something you've wanted for years, this episode is your reminder: Maybe they didn't see this coming. Maybe YOU didn't either. But here you are. And you're not f*****g done yet.  Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, and iHeartRadio. What If You Actually Like Who You're Becoming?
2026/10/09
When was the last time you stopped focusing on everything you wanted to change about yourself and actually appreciated the woman you are? Not the woman you think you should be. Not the woman you used to be. The woman you are right now. Sometimes life gets messy. Things don't work out the way we planned, confidence takes a hit, and we get so caught up in what's going wrong that we forget to notice what's still pretty damn wonderful about ourselves. But here's something worth considering: What if you actually LIKE who you're becoming? In this episode of The Last Laugh: No Apologies, we're having an honest conversation about self-worth, recognizing your own personality and strengths, and separating who you are from what you're going through. Because you can be frustrated with your circumstances and still appreciate yourself. You can have things you're working on and still be proud of the woman you've become. And sometimes, in the middle of all the chaos, you catch a glimpse of yourself and think, "There I f*****g am." What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why your current circumstances don't have to determine how you feel about yourself. How to start recognizing the qualities, strengths, and personality traits you genuinely like about yourself. Why personal growth doesn't always mean changing who you are—sometimes it means appreciating who you've become. How to give yourself credit for the woman you are, even when life feels unfinished. Why liking yourself right now matters just as much as working toward the life you want. You don't have to wait until everything falls into place to feel good about yourself. Maybe the woman you're becoming deserves a little more appreciation than you've been giving her. 🎙️ The Last Laugh: No Apologies Podcast Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, and iHeartRadio. Why Are You Still Trying to Prove Your Worth?
2026/10/02
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to feel good about yourself when you're productive, helpful, needed or accomplishing something—and how quickly that feeling can disappear when you're not? In this episode, Kristine explores the ways we can unknowingly turn what we do into evidence of what we're worth—and what changes when we stop treating life like an audition for our own f*****g worth. What you'll learn: How being productive, helpful and needed can quietly become tied to your self-worthThe important difference between being proud of what you do and using it as proof that you matterWhy other people's opinions, responses and approval don't determine your worthHow to stop trying to prove your worth and start living from itYou were already worthy before any of them got a vote.  Connect with Me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kristinecempowered/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kristine.christiansen1 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kristine-christiansen-success-coach
"Do You Really Need a Better Reason Than 'I Want To'?"
2026/09/25
How often do you talk yourself out of something you want before you've even really considered it? In this episode, Kristine explores why so many of us feel like wanting something isn't reason enough—we need to justify it, make it practical, or prove that it's somehow worthwhile. This isn't about saying yes to everything you want. It's about noticing how quickly you may be making the answer no. What you'll learn: Why we sometimes feel the need to justify the things we wantHow you may be overruling yourself before anyone else even has the chanceThe difference between wanting something and deciding you have to act on itWhy “because I want to” deserves to be part of the decisionOne question to ask before automatically talking yourself out of somethingYou don't have to put every f*****g thing you want on trial. Sometimes you can start with: I want to. And see where the hell that takes you. When Did Fun Become Something You Had to Earn?
2026/09/18
When was the last time you did something simply because it sounded fun? As adults, we can get so used to measuring how productive, useful, or worthwhile something is that even fun starts needing a purpose. In this episode, Kristine talks about what happens when enjoyment keeps getting pushed behind responsibilities—and why fun doesn’t have to be something you earn after everything else is handled. What You’ll Learn Why fun so easily gets pushed to the bottom of the listHow we turn things we enjoy into another form of productivityWhy you don’t have to be good at something for it to be worth doingWhy enjoyment itself can be a perfectly good use of your timeOne simple question to help you notice where fun still fits in your lifeConnect with Me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kristinecempowered/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kristine.christiansen1 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kristine-christiansen-success-coach

2026/09/11
Maybe you've spent years believing your turn will come later—when life settles down, there's more time or everybody else needs a little less from you. In Episode 95 of The Last Laugh: No Apologies, Kristine talks about what it really means to start choosing yourself inside a life that's already full of people, responsibilities and things that genuinely matter to you. What you'll discover: Why waiting for the “right time” can quietly become a way of lifeThe difference between choosing yourself and choosing against other peopleHow you may be overruling what you want before you even give it a chance to matterWhy your own wants and opinions deserve a place in your decisionsWhat it can look like to finally say, “I get a turn too.”Your turn doesn't have to come at somebody else's expense. What Gets You Thinking, I Want More of THAT?
2026/09/04
Sometimes we expect clarity to arrive as a giant realization: This is what I want. This is what I’m supposed to do next. But what if clarity is quieter than that? In Episode 94, Kristine explores the small reactions we often overlook—the moments that make us curious, make us linger, or leave us wanting more. They may not be answers, and they don’t have to lead anywhere. But they can still tell us something worth knowing about ourselves. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why your reactions can be valuable information when you’re unsure what you want next. How to notice the moments that make you feel more alive without turning every good feeling into a decision or a plan. Why paying attention to yourself can create clarity even before you have the answers. You don’t have to figure out the rest of your life today. Start smaller. Pay attention to what makes something in you wake up—and what gets you thinking: I want more of THAT.  Connect with Me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kristinecempowered/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kristine.christiansen1 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kristine-christiansen-success-coach
Before You Ask Everyone Else
2026/08/28
Have you ever known what you wanted to do—until everybody else started weighing in? Sometimes another perspective is exactly what we need. But sometimes, we're not actually confused. We're looking for someone else to validate an answer we already have. In this episode of The Last Laugh: No Apologies, we're talking about the difference between getting advice and giving away your vote—and one question that can help you hear yourself again: Before I asked everybody else...what did I think? Because other people's opinions can matter without outranking yours. ❤️ ✨ WHAT YOU'LL DISCOVER Why asking for advice can sometimes become asking for permission How other people's opinions can matter without outranking your own The question to ask when too many opinions leave you more confused than when you started  Why changing your mind after receiving better information doesn't mean you failed to trust yourself  What self-trust actually looks like when there are no guarantees you're making the “right” choice Connect with Me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kristinecempowered/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kristine.christiansen1 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kristine-christiansen-success-coach
You Only Need the Next Step
2026/08/21
Sometimes the reason you're stuck isn't because you don't know what to do. It's because you're trying to figure out what happens ten steps from now. In this episode, Kristine gets personal about her own tendency to overthink decisions—including a recent business investment that didn't give her the result she expected—and the realization it led to: sometimes we judge an old decision using information we only have because we made it. You don't need a guarantee before you move. You don't need every answer. And you definitely don't need to solve Step Ten while you're still standing at Step One. In this episode, you'll learn: The important difference between clarity and certainty Why taking action can sometimes create the clarity you've been waiting for How to recognize when you genuinely need more information-and when you're just afraid of choosing wrong Why a step that doesn't work out the way you hoped can still give you valuable information Three simple questions to help you identify your next reasonable step Connect with Me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kristinecempowered/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kristine.christiansen1 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kristine-christiansen-success-coach
