Brittany Murphy was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars in the 1990's & early 2000's, but in a few short years her career would take a dramatic downturn. If you’re ever injured in an accident, you can check out Morgan & Morgan. You can start your claim in just a click without having to leave your couch: https://ForThePeople.com/coffeeandcults When Brittany Murphy was experiencing this slump in her career, someone entered her life who would completely destroy it. A few years into this downturn in her career, whenever Brittany Murphy would attend Hollywood events, friends, former colleagues, people in the industry & even her fans became gravely concerned for her for a multitude of reasons, & the thing that concerned everyone most of all was Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, & everyone was right to be concerned. So today we’re going to be breaking down Brittany Murphy’s stunning career & the terrible turn it took. We’ll also be discussing the two decades of rumors that have swirled about Brittany Murphy’s passing, was it due to illness, consumption, mold, her husband or any other litany of things, and also how all these rumors were super charged when Brittany Murphy's husband passed also in his 30’s in the same house just a few months after she did. Chris Hansen is an extremely nuanced figure, some him as a professional & ethical god that cannot be criticised & others see him as a self obsessed narcissist who only cares about money, fame & himself. This debate is set to explode over the coming weeks & months with the release of a new movie, Primetime starring Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen. Robert Pattinson is set to give an Oscar worthy performance as Chris Hansen in the new a24 movie, Primetime, & many have said Chris Hansen is portrayed as a wild ego driven lunatic. Chris Hansen himself has spoken out a lot about the movie, even though he hasn’t seen it, claiming Primetime lacks authenticity & admonishing the director & creatives behind the film for not reaching out to him. For several months leading up to the films release, Hansen spoke in many interviews & on his own youtube channel about toying with pursuing legal action, although after the films release Chris Hansen has said he is no longer likely to pursue a lawsuit. Of course given the fact that the film is about Chris Hansen, he’d be expected to give his opinion on it. But given how much he’s speaking about it & the amount of content he’s making about it, many people have speculated he doesn’t dislike this movie as much as he claims to. But even outside of Primetime, Chris Hansen’s actions over recent years have caused a lot of damage to his reputation. Through the mid & late 2010’s instead of writing the headlines, Chris Hansen became a headline. Chris Hansen found himself entangled in multiple financial problems. He was caught multiple times writing bad checks, he was evicted from his NY apt after his multi million dollar home was repossessed, his corvette was repossessed, amex was pursing him for eye watering unpaid debt & this all culminated in his biggest financial blunder, his arrest. But while his financial & legal troubles created headlines, the real criticism Chris Hansen has faced over the last ten years, is from his fellow journalists & YouTubers over his behaviour & work on YouTube. Chris Hansen has faced critique from former fans for profiting from the work of smaller creators & his conduct with when it comes to interviewing victims. But the loudest critics of Chris Hansen & his present day content has been from his fellow journalists which we’ll dive into later in the video. So take a seat & lets dive into everything you need to know, the good, the bad & the complicated when it comes to one of the most famous journalists of all time, Chris Hansen. Elizabeth Holmes thinks she can convince people she wasn’t lying… & I’m worried it’s going to work. Elizabeth Holmes is currently serving an eleven year prison sentence in Texas after she was convicted for three counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in relation to her company Theranos. Although the wire fraud was in relation to half a billion dollars, whistleblowers & journalists who exposed Elizabeth Holmes were always more concerned about the millions of patients who’s health & lives Elizabeth Holmes was gambling with so she could continue to enrich herself. Elizabeth Holmes didn’t care who she hurt, just wanted to keep the hundreds of millions of other peoples money flowing into Theranos to fund her lavish lifestyle of mansions, private jets & the best of everything.   Theranos was a silicon valley start up that was supposed to revolutionise blood testing & was once valued at nine billion dollars. The unicorn level valuation was based off countless lies, including that the company was earning in the hundreds of millions when it struggled to clear $100k. But the lies about income was nothing compared to the lies about Theranos’s technology. I’ve followed Elizabeth Holmes & Theranos from the time I was working in a blood lab nearly 20 years ago, & today I’m going to tell you exactly what I think Elizabeth Holmes is going to try and spin in this latest endeavour. We’ll also go over things from Elizabeth Holmes & Theranos past, that even those who’ve followed this case extremely closely, will find surprising. We’ll also discuss what happened to Elizabeth Holmes after she was exposed, & why her partner Billy Evans might come off even worse than her in next months doc. Elizabeth Holmes & Billy Evans are working on her healthcare comeback, they launched a new blood testing company, they are non stop posting on social media to their supporters, & People magazine even put Elizabeth Holmes on the cover with a multi page spread of glossy photos with her kids & Billy Evans, accompanied by a very sympathetic article, all while she’s in prison for the wildest & most dangerous fraud case of all time. So will this documentary help Elizabeth Holmes, will it hurt her, & will seeing everything finally let us see the real Elizabeth Holmes, or will we just get a better look at the latest character she’s playing. Super Size Me is one of the most popular documentaries of all time, but what most people don't know, is that it's all a lie. In 2004 an Oscar nominated documentary was released that went onto have incredible impact, especially for kids & teens across America. But what many people don’t know is that everything about the documentary was a lie. For thirty days from Feb 1 2003 to March 2, Morgan Spurlock claimed he consumed nothing but McDonald’s food. Spurlock visited three different doctors to get baseline results & visited them again after consuming nothing but McDonalds for breakfast, lunch & dinner for a month straight. The results were absolutely startling, the doctors were so surprised, with all of them saying they had never seen anything like these results ever before. The doctors said it was shocking that this amount of damage could be done in just a month, but what the doctors didn’t know is that a lot of information was being hidden from them along with the hundreds of millions of people who watched Super Size Me, & barely anyone knows the real story of Super Size Me. So today we’ll be discussing not only how one of the most famous documentaries of all time was built on a lie, but also looking at the man behind the documentary, Morgan Spurlock & the other awful things he was hiding. Neil Patrick Harris has been a fixture on television since the late 1980's & has become incredibly famous for his versatility as an actor & Broadway performer, & also for the characters he plays like Barney Stinson from How I Met Your mother & Doogie Howser. Neil Patrick Harris started as a successful child actor on television & made the difficult leap in adult roles. He took his child stardom & his roles in made for tv movie roles in his late teens and early 20’s & managed to use those roles as a springboard into a successful & wide ranging career in Hollywood, not just as an actor, but also as a Tony Award-winning Broadway performer, host of the Oscars, the Emmys and the Tonys, and he also eventually built an image around being the charming, talented, seemingly wholesome Hollywood family man with the coolest halloween parties.  But underneath that carefully constructed image is a very different history of controversies, questionable jokes and moments that have aged very badly. Some of them were relatively minor incidents that disappeared almost immediately, but there are certain others controversies that have resurfaced more recently that caused people to see Neil Patrick Harris in a totally different light. And when you hear about one story in particular, I don’t think you’ll be able to see him in the same way ever again. Raygun was all anyone was talking about after her performance at the Paris Olympics in 2024 & on September 1st 2026, Netflix is set to release a doc about the famous & infamous olympian Rachael Gunn, widely known by her stage name, Raygun. Raygun was the biggest loser of the 2024 Paris Olympics, & the entire world became fascinated with Rachael Gunn & her performance, with people everywhere recreating the infamous kangaroo hop, although some individuals wanting to recreate rayguns performance were met with legal threats from Raygun. *Edit* I watched the 'doc' this morning & it is actually worse than I thought it would be, & what annoyed me the most is how they manipulated the footage of the YouTuber's I mentioned, Lili & Jessi from Do We Know Them, as if they were spreading the misinformation about Raygun's husband when they were actually calling it out & correcting what other people were spreading. After the manipulated clip, Raygun's husband immediately says 'people spread this fake story without doing any basic research', hello? This is exactly why I wanted to do this video, I'm so sick of these Netflix 'docs' that are just promotional tools for the subjects& so full of rubbish. I really want to do a follow up on my Coffee, Cults & Cats channel to talk about some of the absolute rubbish in this "doc".'The story of an Australian university prof in her late 30’s becoming the worlds most well known breaker is a fascinating story in itself, but there is a lot more to the story than most people know, with the most interesting parts of the Raygun saga, being what happened after the olympics. When it comes to the Netflix documentary however, the untold raygun story is being made in collaboration with & featuring raygun and her team & so it seems as though Netflix is going to shy away and even leave out the legal threats, intimidation, the familial crypto & financial fraud, & the fact Raygun & her team went after & shut down a small comedian raising money for women’s shelter. So that’s what we’ll be discussing today, what actually happened before & after one of the olympics most memorable performances ever. We’ll also be exploring everything Netflix, Raygun & her team are going to gloss over & even ignore in the heavily promoted documentary. So sit back relax & lets break! down the story of the world’s most famous & infamous Olympian breaker, raygun. Orange Is The New Black launched on Netflix in 2013 as one of the streamers very first original shows, no one could have known that it would change the face of television, forever, in the absolute best & the absolute worst way. Although Orange Is The New Black was hugely successful for Netflix, bringing in millions of subscribers & earning over a billion, unlike other Netflix juggernauts, the cast did not share in the financial success. Which caused massive tensions behind the scenes & these tensions continued to escalate throughout the show’s seven seasons. Along with the rising issues btw the Orange Is The New Black cast and Netflix, troubles also developed between cast members, and as the show continued over the years, and the cast grew each season, more & more cast members had problems with one another & many of these behind the scenes problems blew up so much, certain cast exited & main cast were begging for the show to end. Euphoria premiered on HBO in 2019, & what no one knew was how big the show, it’s cast and its behind the scenes controversies would become. The show finally wrapped it’s third season after an over four year break between season two & three, & while the fans, & cast, aren’t happy with the ending, the bigger story is what happened behind the scenes. Especially when it comes to the alleged fall out between the shows star Zendaya and euphoria’s showrunner, director and sol writer sam levinson. The blow out between Zendaya and Sam Levinson was so extensive that it even resulted in Zendaya turning down Sam Levinson's request to take a pic together at the Euphoria Season 3 premiere in an effort to calm the countless stories coming out about Sam Levinson’s behaviour bts. Not only did Zendaya politely refuse to be pictured with Sam Levinson, but when SL requested again, Zendaya turned to her publicist and the two lightly jogged away from Sam Levinson, & audio only listeners there is some fantastic footage of this moment. So what exactly happened that caused Zendaya & Sam Levinson to be very close through the first & second season & it all to fall apart so dramatically by season three. In the first & second season, Zendaya & Sam Levinson worked together so closely, were so complementary of one another & were so aligned on their work, the show & the character of Rue that Zendaya played & was based on Sam Levinson. By Season 3, Zendaya didn’t post or promote a show she once cared so much for, she avoided all questions about the story, the character, the ending & Sam Levinson. So that’s what we’re discussing today, what exactly happened on the set of euphoria between Zendaya & Sam Levinson, how a cast that owe their careers to euphoria were liken the set to prison by the end & why Zendaya seemingly ran from Sam Levinson’s request at the premiere. So sit back relax & let’s dive into the chaotic, messy & drama filled world of Euphoria. THANK YOU so much for watching & let me know your thoughts in the comments!
