Feeling Distant From God
2026/09/29
Why does God sometimes feel distant—even when you are praying, reading the Bible, and trying to follow Him?
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we have an honest conversation about spiritual dryness, unanswered prayer, distraction, disappointment, and the seasons when your relationship with God no longer feels as strong as it once did.
Feeling distant from God does not necessarily mean that He has abandoned you. Sometimes our emotions change. Sometimes life becomes noisy. Other times, God may be revealing areas of sin, misplaced priorities, or spiritual complacency that need to be addressed.
We discuss how to seek God when you do not feel His presence, why faith cannot be built entirely on emotion, and how prayer, Scripture, repentance, obedience, and Christian community can help you reconnect with Him.
You may feel far from God—but God has not stopped pursuing you.
Subscribe to the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast for honest, biblical conversations about following Jesus, spiritual growth, Christian manhood, marriage, fatherhood, leadership, discipline, and the struggles Christian men often face in silence.

Am I Really Saved?
2026/09/22
How do I know if I’m really saved? Can a Christian struggle with doubt and still have genuine faith?
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we discuss assurance of salvation, what the Bible says about being saved, and why our confidence must rest in Jesus Christ rather than emotions, past failures, or religious performance.
We also examine the difference between conviction and condemnation, the evidence of genuine faith, the role of repentance and spiritual fruit, and what to do when you find yourself questioning your relationship with God.
Salvation is not earned by being good enough—it is received through faith in Jesus. However, genuine faith should gradually transform the way we live, think, and respond to sin.
Whether you are a new Christian, have followed Christ for years, or are currently struggling with doubt, this conversation will help you examine your faith honestly while returning your focus to the promises of God.
Subscribe to the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast for honest conversations about Christian faith, biblical manhood, spiritual growth, discipline, leadership, marriage, fatherhood, and following Jesus in everyday life.

The John Ochieng Story
2026/09/15
What does it look like to truly say “yes” when God calls?
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we sit down with Pastor John Ochieng, a pastor and missionary from Kenya, to hear his story of faith, ministry, and obedience to God’s calling.
John shares about serving Christ in Kenya, the realities of ministry, the importance of discipleship, and what it means to remain faithful when following God requires sacrifice, trust, and perseverance. His story is a reminder that obedience isn’t always comfortable or convenient—but God can do incredible things through a man who is willing to follow where He leads.
This conversation challenges each of us to ask a simple question:
If God calls, are we willing to go?

I Feel Like A Fraud
2026/09/08
Have you ever had someone tell you they look up to you—and instead of feeling encouraged, your first thought was, “If you only knew…”?
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we talk about the feeling of being an impostor: believing everyone around you sees a stronger, more faithful, more capable version of you than the man you see in yourself.
We dig into the difference between actually living as a hypocrite and simply being a flawed Christian who is still being sanctified. We also look at men throughout Scripture—Moses, Gideon, David, Peter, Paul and others—who wrestled with inadequacy, failure, fear, shame, or the feeling that God had chosen the wrong person.
The answer isn’t convincing yourself that you’re secretly good enough.
It’s realizing that Jesus is enough.
If you’ve ever questioned whether you’re qualified to lead, wondered if your past disqualifies you, or feared what people would think if they knew the struggles behind the scenes, this conversation is for you.

Deception: Satan's Most Dangerous Weapon
2026/09/01
Satan rarely shows up looking like the enemy.
Deception works because the lie usually looks believable, sounds reasonable, and often contains just enough truth to get us to drop our guard.
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we break down how the enemy uses deception, temptation, distraction, half-truths, and even patience to slowly pull believers away from God. We look at biblical examples of deception, how Satan can disguise himself as an “angel of light,” why isolation makes us easier targets, and how Christian men can become better at recognizing the enemy’s tactics before we fall for them.
The battle isn’t always obvious. Sometimes the most dangerous lies are the ones we never recognize as lies.
📖 Scripture discussed throughout the episode

🛡️ Guarding yourself against spiritual deception

The Road to Compromise - Bible Stories Part 2
2026/08/25
Most people don’t wreck their lives all at once. It usually happens one compromise at a time.
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we continue our recurring Bible Stories series by looking at Samson, Saul, David, and Solomon—four men who knew God, experienced His work, and still allowed compromise to gain ground in their lives.
We discuss:
Samson and Delilah — Judges 16
Saul’s partial obedience — 1 Samuel 15
David and Bathsheba — 2 Samuel 11–12
Solomon’s downfall — 1 Kings 11
Each story shows a different path: playing with temptation, redefining obedience, hiding sin with more sin, and slowly allowing compromise to become normal.
The warning is simple:
Compromise rarely asks for everything at once.
It asks for a little, then a little more, until we can end up somewhere we never intended to go.
So the question is not just, “Am I ruining my life?”
It may be:
Where have I started moving the boundary?

Giving In to Fear - Bible Stories Part 1
2026/08/18
What happens when fear starts making your decisions for you?
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we begin a recurring Bible Stories series by looking at six powerful stories from Scripture that show how fear can affect our faith, obedience, leadership, and perspective.
We discuss:
The Twelve Spies — Numbers 13–14
Gideon’s Calling — Judges 6
Elijah Running From Jezebel — 1 Kings 19
Jesus Calming the Storm — Mark 4
Peter Walking on Water — Matthew 14
Ananias Being Sent to Saul — Acts 9
These stories come from different books and different periods of the Bible, but they all reveal the same truth:
Biblical courage does not mean pretending there is nothing to fear. It means refusing to let fear become your master.
The giants were real. The Midianites were dangerous. Jezebel really did threaten Elijah’s life. The storm was real. Peter really was surrounded by wind and waves. And Ananias really was being sent to meet a man known for persecuting Christians.
So why did some people move forward in faith while others allowed fear to control them?
Throughout the episode, we break down:
What actually happened in each Bible story
Important details Christians often miss
What each story reveals about God
How fear can distort our view of circumstances
The difference between feeling fear and being controlled by fear
How fear spreads to the people around us
Why obedience sometimes means moving forward while we are still afraid
How to keep our focus on God when circumstances feel overwhelming
This conversation challenges us to ask a difficult question:
What decisions is my fear making for me right now?
What conversation are you avoiding?
What step of obedience are you delaying?
What responsibility are you running from?
Where have you decided something cannot happen because all you can see are the giants?
Fear may be present.
But fear doesn’t have to be in charge.

Disciples Making Disciples
2026/08/11
What does it actually mean to make disciples—not just attend church, consume Christian content, or call ourselves followers of Jesus?
In this episode of The Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we sit down with David Small, author of Nameless Faceless People: Ten Years With The Free Burma Rangers and founder of the Jungle Discipleship School, for a powerful conversation about what biblical discipleship looks like when it moves beyond theory and becomes a way of life.
Jesus didn’t simply call us to believe. He called us to follow Him, become more like Him, and make disciples who make disciples.
David shares lessons shaped by years of ministry, missions, hardship, leadership, and firsthand experience serving alongside believers in some of the most challenging environments in the world. We talk about the difference between simply gaining biblical knowledge and actually living as a disciple of Christ—and why multiplication should be at the heart of the Christian life.
In this episode, we discuss:
• What biblical discipleship really looks like
• Why Christians are called to make disciples, not just converts
• The difference between church attendance and following Jesus
• Why discipleship requires relationships, sacrifice, and obedience
• How mature believers can intentionally invest in others
• Developing leaders who go on to disciple others
• Lessons David learned through the Free Burma Rangers
• The mission behind the Jungle Discipleship School
• Why the Great Commission applies to every Christian
• How ordinary believers can create a multiplying impact for the Kingdom of God
Discipleship was never meant to stop with us.
Someone invests in you. You grow in Christ. You invest in someone else. They begin discipling others—and the impact continues outward.
That is how disciples make disciples.
Whether you're a Christian man wanting to grow deeper in your faith, a church leader looking to build a stronger discipleship culture, or simply wondering how to live out the Great Commission in everyday life, this conversation will challenge you to move from being merely a consumer of Christianity to an active disciple of Jesus Christ.
If this episode encourages or challenges you, subscribe to The Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, share it with another man, and join us as we pursue authentic biblical manhood and learn what it means to follow Christ with purpose.

Loneliness
2026/08/04
Why are so many Christian men surrounded by people—but still deeply lonely?
In this episode of The Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we confront the growing loneliness epidemic among men and the quiet isolation many Christian men experience behind closed doors. Men can be active at work, involved at church, committed to their families, and still feel like they have no one they can honestly talk to.
We discuss the difference between healthy solitude and dangerous isolation, why activity partners are not always the same as true friends, and how shame, pride, busyness, betrayal, major life transitions, and fear of vulnerability keep men disconnected.
Loneliness is more than an emotional struggle. Isolation can distort our thinking, intensify temptation, fuel anger, deepen addiction, and convince us that nobody would understand what we are going through. God never designed Christian men to carry every burden alone.
In this episode, we explore:
• Why men often hide loneliness behind strength and productivity
• The difference between acquaintances and biblical brotherhood
• How isolation creates opportunities for temptation and spiritual attack
• Why marriage cannot replace meaningful friendships with other men
• How digital connection can become a substitute for genuine community
• What Scripture teaches about confession, accountability, and carrying one another’s burdens
• Practical steps for rebuilding trust and developing deeper friendships
• A seven-day challenge to begin breaking the cycle of isolation
You do not need dozens of friends. You need a few trustworthy men who know the truth about your life, will pray for you, challenge you, encourage you, and refuse to let you fight alone.
Scripture referenced in this episode includes Genesis 2:18, Ecclesiastes 4:9–12, Proverbs 18:1, Proverbs 27:17, Matthew 26:36–46, Acts 2:42–47, Galatians 6:2, James 5:16, Hebrews 10:24–25, and 1 Peter 5:7–9.
If this episode speaks to something you have been carrying privately, share it with another man who may need to hear it. Spiritual Burnout
2026/07/28
Can you love God and still feel spiritually burned out?
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we discuss what spiritual burnout looks like, why Christian men often hide it, and how constant pressure, service, responsibility, and exhaustion can slowly drain our relationship with God.
Spiritual burnout does not always mean walking away from church. You may still attend, serve, pray, and know the right answers while feeling empty inside. Scripture feels like work, prayer feels forced, worship feels distant, and serving others begins producing frustration instead of joy.
Using Elijah’s experience in 1 Kings 18–19, we explore how spiritual victory can be followed by fear, exhaustion, isolation, and emotional collapse. We also look at Jesus’ example of prayer, solitude, and rest.
In this episode, we discuss:
• Warning signs of spiritual burnout
• Why burnout can hide behind faithfulness
• Spiritual numbness, resentment, irritability, and cynicism
• The role of rest, boundaries, and physical health
• Reconnecting with God without turning faith into performance
• Knowing when to persevere, delegate, restructure, or step away
Burnout does not have to end your faithfulness. It may be the warning that leads you back to rest, honesty, dependence, and genuine intimacy with Christ.
Share this episode with a Christian man who may be carrying too much.

Talking to Your Kids About Faith
2026/07/21
How do you talk to your kids about faith without making Christianity feel forced, awkward, or like another obligation?
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we discuss how fathers can create a home where conversations about God happen naturally and authentically. Teaching our children about faith is not just about making them attend church, memorizing Bible verses, or giving them all the right answers. It is about consistently showing them what a real relationship with Jesus looks like through our words, choices, priorities, mistakes, and everyday lives.
We talk about the importance of leading by example, creating space for honest questions, listening without immediately correcting, and helping our children understand the difference between following family traditions and personally choosing to follow Christ.
We also discuss why parents should avoid using fear, guilt, or pressure to manufacture outward obedience. Our responsibility is to faithfully plant seeds, model genuine faith, and point our children toward Jesus while trusting God to work in their hearts.
In this episode:
• Why discipleship begins at home
• How to make faith part of everyday conversations
• The difference between guiding your children and forcing faith
• Creating a safe environment for doubts and difficult questions
• Why your example matters more than perfectly worded lessons
• Admitting mistakes and modeling repentance
• Helping children develop a personal relationship with Jesus
• Trusting God when your children begin making their own decisions
Scripture referenced in this episode includes Deuteronomy 6:4–9, Proverbs 22:6, Psalm 78:4–7, Ephesians 6:4, Colossians 3:21, 2 Timothy 1:5, 2 Timothy 3:14–15, James 1:19, and 1 Corinthians 3:6–7.
Whether your children are young, teenagers, or already adults, it is never too late to become more intentional about how you model and discuss faith at home.
Our job is not to force a decision. Our job is to faithfully point them toward Jesus.

Protecting Your Mind
2026/07/14
In a world constantly fighting for your attention, your mind is one of the greatest battlegrounds of the Christian life.
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we talk about protecting your mind in a culture that is trying to shape the way you think, what you desire, what you believe, and how you live. From social media and entertainment to temptation, comparison, fear, anger, lust, and distraction, Christian men cannot afford to be passive about what they allow into their hearts and minds.
We discuss the importance of renewing your mind through God’s Word, taking every thought captive, guarding what you consume, and learning to recognize the lies that culture constantly feeds men. This episode is a challenge to stop drifting, stop living distracted, and start becoming intentional about what is shaping your thoughts.
If you want to grow in discipline, purity, spiritual strength, and discernment, this conversation is for you.

Discipleship Starts at Home
2026/07/07
Discipleship does not start on a stage, in a church program, or with someone else’s family. It starts at home.
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we talk about the responsibility Christian men have to lead spiritually inside their own homes first. Before we can disciple others, we need to be willing to live faithfully in front of our wives, children, and the people closest to us.
This conversation challenges men to stop outsourcing spiritual leadership and start taking ownership of the atmosphere in their home. Discipleship is not just teaching Bible verses. It is modeling repentance, prayer, humility, discipline, forgiveness, and obedience in everyday life.
If you are a husband, father, or man who wants to lead well, this episode is a reminder that your home is your first ministry.

The Stewardship of Success
2026/06/30
Success is not something we own — it is something we are called to steward.
In this episode of the Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we talk about what it means to handle success, growth, influence, money, talents, and opportunity in a way that honors God. For Christian men, success can easily become a trap when pride, comfort, selfish ambition, or comparison start taking over. But when success is surrendered to the Lord, it becomes a tool for obedience, service, generosity, and kingdom impact.
We discuss how men can guard their hearts, stay humble, remain faithful in the small things, and remember that every blessing comes with responsibility. Whether God has given you leadership, resources, a platform, a family, a business, or simply another day to serve Him, the question is not just what have you been given? The question is: What are you doing with it?
This episode is a challenge to stop chasing success for self and start stewarding it for God.

Finding Your Purpose
2026/06/23
What is your purpose as a Christian man?
In this episode of The Raw Christian Men’s Podcast, we talk about what it means to find your purpose through God instead of chasing identity through success, comfort, money, status, relationships, or the approval of others.
Too many men feel stuck, lost, distracted, or unsure of what they are supposed to be doing with their lives. But purpose is not something we invent on our own. It starts with surrender, obedience, discipline, and walking with God daily.
This conversation is for the man who feels like he has more in him, but does not know where to start. It is for the man who knows he was made for more but has been distracted by sin, fear, passivity, or the expectations of the world.
In this episode, we discuss:
Why purpose starts with God, not personal ambition
How men lose sight of their calling
The danger of chasing comfort instead of obedience
Why discipline matters in discovering your purpose
How God uses your gifts, struggles, and past experiences
What it means to lead yourself, your family, and others well
Practical steps to start walking in your purpose today
You do not have to have everything figured out. But you do need to start taking the next faithful step.
