With Roll4Real Studio temporarily under renovation, Doolin calls for a well-earned short rest from the main campaign. In this special mid-season recap, he sits down with Ian (Andrew), Amanda (Lilith), Stubbs (Alex), and newest party member Mike (Captain Quinn) to reflect on the journey so far and look ahead to what’s coming next. ⚠️ Spoiler warning for Episodes 1–15 ⚠️ Stubbs opens up about Alex’s powerful sacrifice and what it meant both in-character and at the table. Lumina’s Day dawns cold over Brookhaven... and with it comes a reckoning. As war drums echo through the snow, Freddy Theodore Watkins must stand alone against Gorath, the Bloodfang War Chief, and the warband poised to burn the halfling village to the ground. Wearing the face of Roscoe Toscobble, Freddy is forced to confront not only a brutal foe, but the doubts and insecurities he’s carried his entire life. For the people of Brookhaven, he must be their hero, whether he believes he deserves the title or not. As the dust settles, a new ally emerges. Rhys Quinn, a retired and reluctant riverboat captain, agrees to ferry the party down the dangerous Wyrmstooth River toward Mount Vel’Drahn. But the river is cursed by a deadly monster, and Quinn himself may be hiding more than just old scars.  And in the quiet aftermath of battle, amid lantern light and falling snow, Lilith faces a heartbreaking choice. In a village that feels safe, for now, she must say farewell to Shaunus, leaving behind the child she’s sworn to protect.

Snow falls softly over the valley of Mount Umbra as the party arrives in Brookhaven, a quiet halfling village glowing with lanternlight on the eve of Zumundo's most sacred night. Songs drift through the mist, fires burn warm against the cold, and for the first time in a long while… the road feels almost welcoming. But for Freddy, comfort comes with a cost. He discovers that his avatar is a warrior of legend. A hometown hero. A name spoken with pride and expectation. As the holiday of Lumina’s Eve unfolds in lights and laughter Freddy is pulled into a life he never lived. As old bonds resurface and new ones are forged, the warmth of the holiday stands in stark contrast to the shadows gathering beyond the village lights. In the drifting fog at the edge of town, something stirs.  This is a night for hearth and home. For lanterns in the snow. And for courage. Whether borrowed… or earned.

At the Twilight Spire, the Outworlders meet Ardulian Moonhammer and take part in the sacred farewell ceremony for Alex, honoring the friend who gave his life for them. In their grief, new truths emerge: Shaunus displays unexpected powers tied to a destiny far larger than they imagined, and the path to Mount Vel’Drahn, and the World Walker who can send them home, proves longer and more dangerous than they anticipated. The journey ahead begins with a goodbye. 

They’ve crossed worlds, battled horrors, and survived the impossible, but now the true test begins. The Outworlders have finally reached the Window of the Veil, the ancient artifact said to be their only hope of finding a way back home. But their journey has led them into the Tomb of the Last Architects, a place where something ancient and hungry awaits them. Now Andrew, Lilith, Freddy, and Grant must face a trial older than time itself. An evil born before memory, sealed away by those who understood that some things should never see the light again. If they fail not only will the tomb consume them, but time itself will become their grave.

On the slopes of Mount Umbra, the Outworlders come face to face with the grim legacy of the Twilight Vanguard. A lone knight lies fallen upon the path to the Spire, but death has not stilled his blade. What begins as a confrontation with a cursed sentinel soon becomes a trial by fire, forcing the party to reckon with the weight of oaths, the corruption of ideals, and the haunting question of what they themselves are becoming in this world of shadows.

The Outworlders begin their harrowing ascent up the dusk-shrouded slopes of Mount Umbra, a mountain whispered to be cursed and home to the enigmatic Twilight Vanguard. Seeking answers and guidance, they quickly discover that the journey is as perilous as the destination. Their path winds through treacherous rockslides and the shattered remnants of forgotten civilizations, where stone ruins whisper of hubris and loss. Along the way, they encounter the unsettling Children of Silence, a void worshiping cult who worships the emptiness of non-existence. Each omen twists the air with dread, forcing the party to wonder if they are ascending toward salvation or into the jaws of a greater doom. With every step higher, the twilight deepens and the mountain itself seems to resist them. Faith, resolve, and trust are tested as the Outworlders question not only the intent of the Vanguard but whether the answers they seek are worth the dangers they must endure. At the summit waits the looming Twilight Spire, but the road ahead promises blood, shadows, and revelations carved in darkness.

But what begins as a search for answers becomes a reckoning with fate. Secrets are revealed. Shaunus, the halfling child they rescued, should not have survived the Firefall. Something… or someone… pulled him out of destiny’s path. And for Alex, a deeper truth awakens. His avatar is marked by the ancient order of the Twilight Vanguard, a group of religious extremists that walk the line between the light and shadow and seek to vanquish The Void by any means necessary. Will they risk seeking the guidance of a zealous order that walks the line between light and darkness or cast their lot with the ever-scheming Mage’s Council of Solara, whose wisdom may come at a cost?

Now traveling with Shaunus, the young halfling survivor of Maplewood, the group learns of the Seer; a mysterious figure who foresaw their arrival and the destruction they’d bring. Desperate for answers, the party ventures into the Auraglow Forest, a breathtaking yet perilous realm where beauty masks danger. As they confront strange magic and test their powers, the forest reveals glimpses of deeper truths. But it’s only upon finding the Seer that they realize… the real journey is just beginning.

Andrew, Alex, Lilith, Freddy, and Grant awaken on the edge of Maplewood, but this isn’t the game they remember. Pain is real. The bodies they inhabit aren’t their own. And magic isn’t just a stat, it's real.
