Description

@easydoublepod is a running podcast hosted by Ryan, Dean and Eoin. We all come from very different backgrounds but have ended up as training partners in Perth, Australia. Generally we talk about running a bit too much, whether that be shoes, nutrition, training, performances, conspiracy theories or just poking fun at each other. Our long runs often take us down some rabbit holes and we thought it could be both insightful and humorous to explore some of these on a podcast. We try not to take ourselves too seriously, contrary to our approach to training. Welcome to the Easy Double Club.

2026/02/02
Another HUGE week on the Easy Double Podcast 🔥 If you’re new here, make sure you follow the show and get in touch via @easydoublepod or [email protected]. Plenty to unpack this week, headlined by Marugame Half Marathon, the Millrose Games, and the John Terrier Classic. We dive deep into one of the wildest weekends of indoor track in recent memory — from Sam Ruthe doing genuinely absurd things as a 16-year-old, to the prestige and chaos of Millrose at The Armory in New York. At Millrose we cover: Women’s 3000m and World Indoor standard chat Men’s 800m and “who the hell is Colin Sahlman?” The Men’s 2 Mile (not quite the WR hype… but still tasty) Women’s Wanamaker Mile, with Jess just a second off her own NR The Men’s Wanamaker Mile — Cam Myers is HIM, Yared, destruction, and what it all means for Ollie We also break down Marugame Half, a race stacked with Australian history, brutal wind conditions, and big performances — including Liam Boudin climbing the all-time list and another elite run from Izzi. London Marathon elite fields announced - CRAZY Athletes suspended for gambling — where’s the line and what does it mean for the sport? Including an indoor 1500m race for Eoin and how the lads are balancing travel, racing, and consistency. What we’ve been watching, what’s worth your time, and what absolutely isn’t. This week’s offender: people walking in the bike lane when there’s a perfectly good path right next to it — Swan River edition. Easy Double singlets: materials, pricing, huge thanks to Bix, and how/when you can get one Hall of Fame: run a PB in the singlet and you’re in Nomio partnership updates and upcoming interviews As always, thanks for listening — rate, review, share with a mate, and we’ll see you next week 👊 🏃‍♂️ Results Rundown📰 Running News📈 Training Weeks📺 YouTube Diaries😤 Double Trouble📣 Announcements

EDP48: Indoors Season kicks off - Results & Previews
2026/01/19
We kick things off with reflections post-trip, including how Eoin’s Valencia result is settling with a bit of distance from race day, and what recovery actually looks like when the fitness is there but the body’s still catching up. Running results & news this week include: The Doha Marathon (Jan 16) — big names, a fast winning time, and a massive prize pool (€250k / ~$410k AUD) raising questions about where road racing is heading. Cam Myers opening his season indoors at the University of Washington Preview with a 3:49.81 mile — and why skipping World Cross might actually make sense. Mark English breaking the Irish 600m record in 1:15.80… and the noticeable absence of his ASICS kit. Ruthe at the Potts Classic (Hastings) running 1:45.86 for 800m, with Sam Tanner close behind — and more kit changes raising eyebrows. A frank discussion on Zac Faccioni being dropped from OAC Oceania — short contracts, injury risk, and whether brands are failing athletes by not investing long-term. Previews: New Balance Grand Prix — Jan 24 Dr Sanders Invitational — Jan 25 Training weeks & real life: New shoes in the rotation Feeling flat and fatigued Under-fuelling chat (and why it sneaks up on you) As always: honest takes, strong opinions, and a look ahead at what’s coming next. @easydoublepod [email protected]
