NSL signings done - what's the verdict? And Super Netball reshuffle
2026/08/28
Paul and Chloe return to make sense of the conclusion of the signings window in the NSL, and a dramatic run of news from Australia as the Super Netball teams race to complete their rosters. Before that, there’s a spin through the news, as Singapore and Hong Kong become the latest teams to book their place at the 2027 Netball World Cup, and Wales confirm Reinga Bloxham as their Interim Head Coach. After, we dive into the final four teams to be confirmed in the Netball Super League and ask a few questions with all 10 teams announced. Do Hannah Leighton and Hannah Gibson give Lightning enough of a refresh and are Dragons now serious contenders for the Top 4? A total reboot (again) for Panthers and Rhinos has brought some new faces into the league but both franchises face the question as to whether they can make the leap to contenders. We then shift focus to Australia as the Super Netball window finally opens, with controversy surrounding Kate Eddy who goes unsigned. West Coast Fever shake up their attack end, Melbourne Vixens cause a stir but have they missed a trick, and new franchise Sirens make a big splash with Grace Nweke, who is replaced at Swifts by Mary Cholhok. With only two England Roses across the Super Netball squads, and the flood of Sliver Ferns continuing we ask what it means for the World Cup. There's a whole lot to dive into, including a busy few weeks which feature U15 franchise Academies at the School Games and on Sunday, August 30, the EMMNA UK National Finals, with tickets still available here. A final shout out that if you haven’t already, please subscribe to our Spotify and YouTube feeds as they’ll be plenty more to come over the off season.
Uneeq Palavi Unlocked: The Big Interview
2026/08/26
The netball world is rife with signing news, so in a change of pace, we’re bringing you our latest Big Interview with London Mavericks’ 2027 star import signing, Uneeq Palavi. Currently unwinding from an industrious Commonwealth Games campaign, Chloe and Uneeq’s wide-ranging conversation begins with Glasgow 2026 and Tonga’s first-ever appearance in the netball tournament.  Uneeq shares what it means to be part of that historic chapter, and more broadly, her journey with the Tala, which began in earnest after a prompt from her grandmother.  Talk then turns to Uneeq’s netball origin story, which, somewhat unbelievably, she stresses that it began with a shy, uncoordinated 12-year-old backed with a little bit of basketball know-how. Rising through the ranks and growing on the way, the Australian-born Tongan recalls the moment Brioney Akle gave her her Super Netball debut in 2024 in Sydney, and just what it meant to finally achieve a lifelong dream. From the Swifts to the Melbourne Mavericks, Uneeq opens up on her time at the club and reveals the reason why, despite a historic season for the club, she decided to depart for the London Mavericks in the NSL. Finally, Tamsin Greenway, haggis, fish & chips all feature before Uneeq gives her pitch to the listeners as to why they should follow her and her new team in 2027.  Enjoy.
NSL Signings Update - Pulse Get Fretwell, Mavs Rebuild and Chaos Begins in Australia
2026/08/12
Paul is back alongside a refreshed and recharged Chloe following an heroic stint in Glasgow. Paul offers his thoughts on the Commonwealth Games competition that shook the netball world order and we debate the wider implications. With England beginning their search for a new head coach, via a LinkedIn post, we ask what the Roses might be looking for in the short and long term - and what they need. There’s a long overdue dive into the NSL signings, as London Mavericks and London Pulse confirm their squads. Pulse bring a legend out of retirement with the spectacular capture of Steph Fretwell, while it’s all change for Mavs who bring in five new faces (some familiar!). Lightning confirm eight returning stars, and we speculate about who the two new faces could be, and Panthers begin their announcements as well. It’s not only the UK where signings are underway, huge news from Australia as a CBA is agreed, but only for a one-year holding pattern, and the whispers are already suggesting an off-season of huge change. All is not quite as rosy for Commonwealth gold medalists New Zealand as their domestic league (ANZ) faces huge questions, that could mean even more Silver Ferns on the move. Plenty to get stuck into, it’s never dull!
Commonwealth Games 2026: New Zealand Takes Gold; David Parsons Interview
2026/08/03
Chloe and Lucy lead our final Glasgow-based episode to look back on two big medal games. From New Zealand's triumphant 56-48 victory over history-makers Jamaica to Australia's 68-50 routing of England, we consider the moments where the games were won and lost and what the results mean for each team going forward. In an Unlocked special, Chloe was able to interview England Netball Performance Director David Parsons straight after the bronze medal to further contextualise England's second fourth-place finish at a Commonwealth Games. Then, finally, Lucy and Chloe get a bit emotional reflecting on the Games and have some big thank-yous to share, including to you, the listeners!
Commonwealth Games 2026: Semi-finals Wrapped - Did We See The Greatest Game Ever?
2026/08/01
Fresh out of an electric Hydro, Lucy and Chloe join Paul to review a sensational day of storylines at the Commonwealth Games. A day that has us asking: was this the biggest result in netball history? The best game in netball history, or both! At the end of it all, we have a first for netball: a New Zealand against Jamaica final. We’ll break down how we got there, with a performance for the ages from the Sunshine Girls enough to see off the Diamonds and hold off their late rally. For only the second time in their history, Jamaica will go for gold, and they’ll do so against the Silver Ferns, who flexed their muscles to beat England in the first semifinal. We’ll start the debate about what this means for the Roses, but just as important, talk about just how big this is for Dame Noeline Taurua and the global game. A tournament that started by being debated as the most open in the sport’s history now has a final that we’ve never seen before. The tactics, the fallout, the passion and the drama - all debated, and the reaction is on our unlocked socials. As it has been every step of the way. One more day to go, and we’ll be back to review it as well.
Commonwealth Games Day 6 - Pool Stage Done, It's Semi-Final Talk with Mikki Austin
2026/07/31
It's semi-final time at the Commonwealth Games, so we've wheeled out some big guns to break down the drama at the end of the pool stages - and to look ahead to what we can expect over finals weekend. And we ask the question everyone wants an answer to - just how do you stop the Australian Diamonds? We're at Unlocked Towers in Glasgow as Chloe and Lucy depart the media room after England's victory over South Africa. They do so having caught up with Jenny van Dyk and Anna Stembridge for their immediate thoughts after the game. We get into the talking points about a Roses performance we've been waiting for and bring in Mikki Austin to talk tactics. What have we seen from the Roses so far; how do they tackle New Zealand, and what makes the Diamonds so special? Jamaica's Rob Wright - who was expecting an England win - spoke to us ahead of that final game of the day; he explained to us why that was the case and how the Sunshine Girls are preparing for Australia. And remember, stick with us on our socials for daily reaction from Glasgow, and the race for gold enters the final stage.
Commonwealth Games Day 5 - Two Belters, One Big Question
2026/07/30
The Commonwealth quadbox is back as ABC and The Netty Life’s Brittany Carter joins us for a massive Wednesday in Glasgow! The midnight hour in the UK and the early hours are no barrier as we break two huge games with Australia asked some serious questions for the first time. But did South Africa miss a gilt edged chance? England continued their return to winning ways with a record breaking Commonwealth Games total and New Zealand eased past Wales but injuries hit the squad hard. Fran Williams gives us the view from inside the England camp, and TNT Sports analyst, Comm Games legend and Goal Keeping icon Geva Mentor takes time out to review the tournament so far. We also get stuck into Scotland’s defeat to Jamaica that almost gave us the upset of the tournament and while the signs for Scotland are good - Jamaica are heading for the semifinals with more questions than answers. Finally we preview a Thrilling Thursday with all 12 teams in action on the same day for the last time, plus a little bit of SSN contract gossip from Britt! All that plus a reminder that our socials are the place to be for our instant reaction from the mixed zone and Chloe and Lucy continue a relentless week in Scotland.
Commonwealth Games Day 3 & 4: Ferns and Diamonds shine, England plough on and stat chat begins
2026/07/29
Paul, Chloe and Lucy are back for a late-night review of the last two days of action at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. After a Monday off pod duties, we rattle through the latest learnings and ask whether England might have found their mojo in a win over Malawi. Uganda run both Jamaica and New Zealand close, while Scotland and Tonga have enjoyed history-making tournaments. As the competition enters its business end, we look ahead to the latest clash between two superpowers with Australia and South Africa putting their 100% records on the line on Wednesday night. We’ll also preview Jamaica against Scotland and ask how close the Thistles might be to pulling off a shock. All that plus a statistical deep dive into the tournament so far as Chloe dives into some of the numbers. Follow us across our socials for reaction from all the teams and all the games as the push for medals and placings reaches its conclusion.
Commonwealth Games Day 2 with Georgia Rajic: Questions for England, SA Shine & Sparkling Scotland
2026/07/27
A monumental day 2 in Glasgow comes under the microscope as Chloe and Lucy bunker down in media rooms to discuss a day that delivered plenty of potentially consequential action. SEN Super Netball commentator Georgia Rajic joins Chloe and Lucy to give Australia’s dominant victory over England the full treatment. How good are the Diamonds? Where do the Roses go now, with no margin for error in Pool A? A thrilling Jamaica vs New Zealand contest has Chloe wanting another hour of it, while Scotland vs Wales says everything about a Thistles team that are going places. We also debate South Africa’s tactical diversity as they make it two wins from two and flex the full extent of their squad. Wins for Malawi and Uganda round off the day, and for the She Cranes it means they lead the way early in Pool B. Monday brings the first rest day, but not for us as we’ll be on the ground in Glasgow for all the latest. So stay across our social channels for instant reaction throughout the tournament, and they’ll be a review in your feeds every day throughout the tournament.
Commonwealth Games Day 1: Diamonds Dazzle & More First Impressions
2026/07/25
It’s Day 1 in Glasgow and Paul and Chloe have Lucy Goodman for company for the duration of the Commonwealth Games. The first day of competition brought wins for all the big hitters, but what did we learn from wins for England, NZ and the defending champions Australia? A near-flawless display from the Diamonds is scrutinised, while both New Zealand and Scotland will take plenty from their game that kicked off the tournament. We dive into a win for the Roses that brought all 12 players on court, but did it pose more questions than answers ahead of their Super Sunday showdown with Australia? Game of the Day goes to Wales against Uganda, but it’s a sign of the Feathers ambitious that they’ll be disappointed to have suffered defeat against the world-ranked 6th She Cranes. We’ll take a quick look ahead to Sunday's action too, as well as England v Australia, games between Wales and Scotland, and New Zealand and Jamaica could shape the rest of the group stage. A reminder to follow us on our socials for updates through the day. Stacy Marinkovich, Noeline Taurua, Eleanor Cardwell and Uneeq Palavi are just a few of the names who spoke to us in Glasgow.
Latanya Wilson Unlocked: Commonwealth Games special
2026/07/25
In a Commonwealth Games audio-only bonus treat, Chloe sits down with Jamaican superstar Latanya Wilson in person for an extended conversation. The talk begins with reflecting on Latanya’s electric season with the Adelaide Thunderbirds before pivoting to how it all started. A recommendation from fellow Jamaican Stacian Facey opened the door to netball overseas, and Latanya never looked back. But it wasn’t all smooth sailing in the beginning, with a crunch end-of-season conversation proving to be a critical turning point.  Latanya opens up about her upbringing, its challenges and why it drives her every day to be the best that she can be both on and off the court. And with Jamaica in action in Glasgow, Latanya re-lives some of their recent highs and lows, and why they should not be underestimated.  Enjoy
Kath Tetley Unlocked: The Big Interview
2026/07/24
In our final Big Interview special ahead of the Commonwealth Games, Chloe is joined by Scotland Head Coach and Director of Performance, Kath Tetley. In this wide-ranging conversation, Kath begins by charting her coaching origin story. Having always had one foot in the netball operations space, Tetley found herself brushing up with some of the greats of the game, not knowing, years later, she would be tapping them for coaching advice. After manifesting the Thistles role in 2024, Tetley saw the job opening - and with some encouragement - upped sticks from Australia to Scotland to get stuck in. Tetley shares some unique insights into her coaching style, as well as some of the terminology that has caught her out. She also reveals some of Scotland’s ambitions and where they hope to finish at Glasgow 2026.

It’s a high-alert podcast special following the news that Nat Metcalf is out of England’s Commonwealth Games squad after sustaining a calf injury in training. Head Coach Anna Stembridge joins us to discuss Metcalf’s departure, the decision to select Ella Clark as her replacement, and where that now leaves England.  Chloe is then joined by Lucy to give immediate reaction and thoughts before they head up to Glasgow to enter the fray.  Enjoy.

2026/07/22

Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Preview with Karen Greig
2026/07/21
The Commonwealth Games are here, and Chloe and Paul have whipped out the lesser-spotted quad box to help preview this mighty netball event. Joining us is five-time Netball Super League-winning coach Karen Greig and Sky Sports commentator Lucy Goodman, who will be part of our cast for Glasgow 2026. Before we get into the battle for gold, silver and bronze, we take the chance to grill Karen on a new-look Thunder as three players join the champions' roster for 2027 after a busy start to the Netball Super League signing window. Karen talks us through the battle to keep players in the NSL, and how to evolve a squad, develop players and continue to challenge for championships. After that, it's onto the Games themselves, and we start by looking at a tumultuous time for England as Sharni Norder becomes the latest high-profile departure from the coaching set-up. We break down Anna Stembridge’s options and how she navigates them through a brutal schedule - whether she sticks with the same starting seven or shakes it up, and whether the Roses risk missing a medal for the first time or can genuinely push for gold. We get Karen and Lucy's thoughts on Australia and New Zealand, debate whether South Africa is ready to challenge for a medal and ask if Jamaica can repeat the silver they won at the Netball World Cup despite their shooting circle concerns. The battle between Wales and Scotland promises to be one for the ages, while Malawi and Uganda will once again look to underline netball's growth on the African continent. Plenty to debate and enjoy in what looks like a competition to remember.  A reminder: you'll be able to catch us daily through the tournament, so notifications on, subscribe to all our feeds and get ready for a netball summer to remember.
