The Best & Worst Parts of Growing Up Latino
2026/09/29
Growing up Latino gave us a lot to love… and apparently a few things we’re still working through. 😂 In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re talking about the best AND worst parts of growing up Latino. From the food, family and culture we wouldn’t trade for anything to the expectations, guilt and childhood experiences that hit a little different now that we’re adults. But even when we got into the “worst” parts, we somehow found the good in them too.
Hispanic Stereotypes: Guilty or Not Guilty?
2026/09/22
It’s Hispanic Heritage Month, and we’re celebrating with a little history, a lot of laughs, and some questionable stereotypes. We kick things off by reading some of YOUR reviews of the show before diving into the history behind Hispanic Heritage Month. Then, in our Gay Agenda, Oscar gets political (again) and shares his thoughts on the president's press ban, while Kelbin reminds everyone to support their local Hispanic restaurants and shares some of his favorite dishes to order. For our main topic, we’re playing a game of WELL YES or WELL NO! Are Hispanic stereotypes actually true, or have we all just been watching too many telenovelas? From our families to our food and everything in between, we're putting these stereotypes to the test.
Maternal Mayhem Part 2: The Remix
2026/09/15
We’re back with Maternal Mayhem Part 2: The Remix. Before we actually get to the main topic, Kelbin somehow convinces Oscar to watch Halloween 4, and we have thoughts on the finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under vs. the World (well yes, we love international drag race season because we're gay af). For the Gay Agenda, Oscar thinks we need to get a little more comfortable calling out people in positions of power when we safely can. Meanwhile, Kelbin thinks we should all lie and cheat more… which somehow leads to him doing something radio related for the first time in a WHILE. 👀 And yes, eventually we get to Maternal Mayhem. We’re checking back in on where things stand with our mothers, what’s changed since the first conversation, what hasn’t, and how we’re navigating those relationships now.Come for the maternal mayhem. Stay because apparently we had 47 other things to discuss first.
Ignorance Is Not Always Hatred
2026/09/08
This week, we’re talking burnout, self care, and apparently some of the things Kelbin does alone that Oscar finds VERY questionable. On the Gay Agenda, Oscar is fresh off a trip to UF and has some thoughts about the hype around college football tailgating. Kelbin’s agenda takes a more serious turn after a conversation with a coworker about protecting her child from gay disney content sparked a much bigger discussion. That leads us into this week’s main topic: the moments when we put our foot in our mouths, said something we weren’t proud of, and had to learn from it.
Why Did That Make Me Cry?
2026/09/01
Kelbin has a new job update and, surprisingly, might finally be feeling at peace with leaving radio behind… for now. 👀 On the Gay Agenda, Oscar reflects on Dolly Parton’s passing and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind, while Kelbin has some complaints about his dodgeball experience not exactly living up to expectations. Then, a trip back to North Carolina for his niece’s going-away party unexpectedly hits Kelbin HARD. One box of old photos later, he’s crying and trying to figure out why looking back at a life he’s already moved on from brought up so much emotion. We talk nostalgia and making peace with the trauma we've gone through.
You’re Not the Main Character
2026/08/25
THE YAPPERS ARE BACK! After taking a much-needed hiatus, we’re catching up on what the break did for us, reading some of the incredibly sweet messages you sent while we were gone, and figuring out what coming back looks like. On the Gay Agenda: Kelbin has thoughts on Big Brother, Oscar mourns the loss of an actress, and then we get into MAIN CHARACTER ENERGY. When does putting yourself first turn into treating everyone else like a supporting character? We look back at friendships and relationships where someone somehow made OUR lives about them.
We Need To Talk
2026/07/21
It's been a busy couple of weeks. We're catching up on everything we've missed, apologizing for the delayed episode, finally revealing Kelbin's new job, and talking about where our heads have been lately. We also share a small update about the podcast and what to expect in the near future.
The Unexpected Lessons of Unemployment
2026/07/07
Looking back, unemployment taught us way more than we expected. This week we're talking about the lessons that stuck with us, how it impacted our relationship, and the mindset shifts we'll carry with us forever. We also need your opinions on a debate happening in our house: should we get a second dog?
Kissing The Homies
2026/06/30
This week on Los Yappers, we're recapping one unforgettable weekend. Oscar kicks things off with another edition of the Gay Agenda, explaining why men ain't sh*t (with love... kind of). Then we play a completely unserious game of "Things Straight Men Do That Are Gay," and let's just say... the evidence is compelling. But somewhere along the way, the episode takes a surprisingly wholesome turn. Kelbin's straight friends came to town, and after spending the weekend together, we found ourselves talking about something we don't hear enough about: the importance of male friendships, showing up for your people, and why those bonds matter more than ever.
I'm Too Old For This Sh*t
2026/06/23
In honor of Kelbin turning 33, we're talking all about getting older. From changing perspectives and growing pains to the things we care about less (and more) as the years go by, this episode is a mix of laughs, hot takes, and reflections on what aging really looks like.
Q&A Episode: No Topic Is Safe
2026/06/17
We’re catching you up on life: Amazon Flex coworker/friends with Benefit situation (with a NUDE), Juneteenth day-off update with your votes, and a stack of listener questions that range from wholesome to absolutely unhinged. This episode is primarily a Q&A, and things go exactly how you’d expect when we give y’all the mic.
Is Great Sex Enough?
2026/06/09
A listener met a hot guy at Amazon, fell into a whirlwind romance powered entirely by a translator app, and now wants to know if they made a huge mistake ending it. Naturally, we have thoughts. Also, we're reporting live from the trenches of Love Island, processing the Hacks finale, discussing the latest Drag Race drama, and Kelbin presents a Gay Agenda topic that somehow turns into a conversation about race. Basically, we're catching up and meddling in someone else's love life. A perfect episode.
Which Is Worse: Straight Men or Job Interviews?
2026/05/26
This week on Los Yappers, we’re catching up on everything from our straight friend’s visit — including his fascination with just how womanly April Carrion looked — to a conversation about constructive criticism that somehow led to us creating a brand-new term: YAGGOT. Plus, Kelbin had a serious government job interview, and Oscar stepped in for a late-night prep session. Will this government job pan out? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z.
Almost Fired & Finally Hired
2026/05/19
Our niece joins the Gay Agenda to expose what it’s really like being under our care for a weekend. Then Kelbin announces some exciting news… he landed a job! We travel to the past and begin talking awkward first days, embarrassing work moments, career growing pains, and the times we got dangerously close to losing it all.
Your Apology Means NOTHING to Me
2026/05/12
This week on Los Yappers, Oscar and I got into an argument that accidentally led to one of the biggest relationship discoveries we’ve had in a long time. Turns out… we experience conflict and apologies VERY differently, and realizing that may have changed the way we communicate forever. Also on the gay agenda: Kelbin has strong opinions about people posting emergency GoFundMes and then immediately going on vacation, while Oscar catches us up on Love on the Spectrum and his excitement over Devil Wears Prada 2.
