LIVE: What Trump Gets Wrong About Christianity featuring Author Silas House
2026/09/24
This episode is a really special one. This week, Andy's first book, "Go And Do Likewise: How We Heal a Broken Country" hit the shelves. And Andy is traveling the country right now on his book tour. This is about bringing folks together - so for those not able to be in the room, we're bringing the room to you. While Trump grossly manipulates Christanity, Andy i s fighting back. He argues that America is at her best when we commit to love that is inclusive and patient, not judgmental, and when we embrace diversity as a source of strength and see every human being as a child of God who deserves dignity and respect. Listen to the raw conversation featuring a live 700+ audience plus a Q&A from the crowd. Winning The Internet with Nathan Jun featuring Carlos Espina, Eumieverse, and RaeShanda Lias
2026/09/17
This week, Andy sits down with content creators at the Democratic Governors Association Conference in Louisville, Kentucky to talk about something traditional media is struggling to do: reaching people where they actually are, and talking to them like real human beings instead of talking points.Nathan Jun is a marketing executive turned online content creator providing daily and weekly updates on current events and politics in a refreshingly clear cut format. He tells the story of the transition from corporate to full time online personality and the struggles along the way. Growing up in the evangelical south, Nathan knows how to talk to the other side, and what happens when we don't. Then, Carlos Espina makes a return to the podcast to catch Andy up on what's been happening – from his TikTok ban to his soccer team purchase. Friends of the podcast Eumie, RaeShanda Lias and Isaiah Martin are also back! Eumie asks Andy about his former dating life, RaeShanda talks about Trump's latest absurdity and Isaiah opens up about how it feels to keep up with the constant news of the day. Plus, a brand new Andy Reacts segment including Bo French's racist post in Texas, another JD Vance flub and Vivek Ramaswamy's viral baseball video.Whether you're a creator, a governor or a citizen of the internet, we're all asking the same question: how do we cut through the noise and win the internet? Are American elections safe and fair? A conversation with Vermont Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas and Skye Perryman, President and CEO of Democracy Forward
2026/09/10
This week, Andy sits down with people fighting to protect our democracy on the frontlines. Vermont Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas is on the ground running elections, protecting voter data from federal overreach, and keeping our systems secure even as resources dry up. Skye Perryman, President and CEO of Democracy Forward, has helped lead hundreds of legal actions to hold the Trump administration accountable, from voting rights to basic government transparency. They tell the truth about what's actually threatening our elections right now, what's happening in the courts to stop it, and what it's going to take to protect every American's right to vote heading into a critical midterm year. Plus, don't miss a special Ask Andy with some high school students with a lot of questions. Democracy isn't self-executing – it only works when we do. It couldn't be a more timely or important conversation, tune in now. How We Actually Get Things Done in Government with Mayor Gloria and Arizona AG Mayes
2026/09/03
This week, Andy sits down with two leaders getting real results for real people. First, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, the first person of color and the first LGBTQ+ person ever elected to lead America's eighth-largest city. Todd's spent his career in public service, from San Diego County's Health and Human Services Agency to the state legislature, and now as mayor, where he's tackling housing, homelessness and public safety head-on. Then, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes calls in fresh off helping lead one of the biggest consumer protection settlements in years: a $17 billion deal with Meta over the harm social media has done to kids. It's a major win for families and a rare example of bipartisan cooperation, with more than 40 attorneys general from both parties coming together to get it done. Andy and his guests dig into how government can actually work for people, and why progress doesn't require everyone to agree – it just requires people willing to show up and get something done anyway. Plus, Andy shares an update on his upcoming book tour for "Go and Do Likewise." Doug Jones, Morgan McGarvey and Southern Democrats on the Rise
2026/08/27
This week, Andy sits down with two Southern Democrats fighting for their people: Proof that this fight isn't just happening on the coasts. First, Doug Jones, the former U.S. Senator from Alabama and now the Democratic nominee for governor. Before politics, Doug was the U.S. Attorney who reopened the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing case from 1963 decades later and secured convictions against the Klansmen responsible. Now he's running against Tommy Tuberville in a race that's tightened into a real dogfight, with data centers emerging as one of the defining issues – Doug's proposing a one-year moratorium to put real guardrails in place, while Tuberville's dismissed residents' concerns outright. They get into all of it, along with Medicaid expansion and what it actually takes for a Democrat to win statewide in the Deep South. Then, Andy is joined by Congressman Morgan McGarvey, who represents Kentucky's 3rd District and is currently the only Democrat in Kentucky's entire congressional delegation. Morgan's spent his career in the trenches, from a decade in the Kentucky Senate to becoming the first freshman Democrat to pass a bill through the House. They talk about what it's actually like serving in Congress right now, what he's doing to push back on the Trump administration's immigration enforcement, and what happens when we flip the House this November. Faith, Basketball and Building a Legacy with Coach Jay Wright and Father Pete
2026/08/20
This week, Andy sits down to talk about two of his favorite topics rolled into one episode: faith and basketball. He's joined by Father Peter Donohue, president of Villanova University since 2006, and Hall of Fame basketball coach Jay Wright, who led the Wildcats (not Kentucky, the other ones!) to two national championships and built Villanova into one of the most respected programs in the country. For nearly two decades, these two worked side by side – one running a university, one running a basketball team – and together built something that will outlast any single championship or strategic plan. They get into leadership, faith, and what it actually takes to build a culture that holds up under mounting political pressure. Father Pete shares what it's been like leading a major Catholic university through nearly twenty years of change, what he's learned about calling and purpose along the way, and a prescription for a kinder, more just world. Jay opens up about the moment he knew it was time to step away from coaching, how college basketball has changed since he built his program, what he's learned since moving on, and some hot take Final Four predictions. And of course, a little Kentucky basketball talk along the way. Plus, Andy and Jon sit down with Congressional baseball game MVP Rep. Morgan McGarvey (spoiler alert: next week's guest!) to discuss the hot topics of the week including Iran, gas prices, Trump as an asset or a threat on the campaign trail, the 2028 Democratic primary roadmap and a quick recap on what our former podcast guests are up to right now! And don't forget, Andy's brand-new book, "Go and Do Likewise," on how we heal a broken country, is out September 22nd, and he's hitting the road on tour – find a stop near you: AndyBeshear.com/tour  Merch store 👉 store.andybeshearpodcast.com/ Pre-order “Go and Do Likewise” 👉 static.macmillan.com/static/smp/go-and-do-likewise-9781250452719/ Meet Andy on the “Go And Do Likewise” Book Tour 👉 https://static.macmillan.com/static/smp/go-and-do-likewise-tour-9781250452719/ Follow us for behind-the-scenes and bonus content: Instagram: instagram.com/andybeshearpodcast/?hl=en Facebook: facebook.com/andybeshearpodcast/ TikTok: tiktok.com/@andybeshearpodcast Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Charles Barkley on Basketball, Politics and Supporting People over Party
2026/08/13
This week, Andy sits down with basketball legend, Hall of Famer and TV star Charles Barkley for a conversation that covers a lot of ground – because Charles never sticks to one lane. They talk early league memories, how modern day basketball differs from the old days, and where Charles sees the future of the sport going amidst all the recent controversy. But this wouldn't be a real conversation with Charles Barkley without a little politics. He doesn't hold back on what he thinks Democrats still need to fix, on speaking out in support of immigrants, and on why he refuses to stay quiet just to protect his brand. Basketball, politics, and zero filter. Welcome to the big league, let's get started. The Internet's Voice, DC's Next Fighter and What It Takes to Get the Right Attention
2026/08/06
Eumie wants your attention. Zach Dembo wants your vote. This week, Andy sits down with two guests fighting for the future. First, Eumie, the creator behind Eumieverse, joins to talk about how she's built a massive following by translating news, politics, and internet culture into sharp, blunt, unmissable commentary – the kind that feels less like a broadcast and more like your group chat. She's become one of the voices a whole generation turns to instead of the nightly news, and she's got real thoughts on why that shift happened. After getting fired from her corporate job, she's made a career on honest vulgarity and snarky, under-30-second videos. Then, Andy is joined by Zach Dembo, who's running to represent Kentucky's 6th Congressional District. Zach spent his career in public service: teaching in the Mississippi Delta, serving as a Navy JAG officer, prosecuting civil rights cases at the Department of Justice, before resigning from a job he loved over what he saw happening inside DOJ. Now he wants to take that fight to Congress, running in a seat Democrats need to flip to retake the House, with the polling already tightening in his favor. Remember, the world may seem tough right now and that’s why we’ve got to do good things and be kind to each other. Scripture says, “If you have faith as big as a mustard seed, you can say to this hill, ‘Go from here to there!’ and it will go. You could do anything! ”Keep the faith, folks – a little goes a long way and will help us get through the tougher days. Speaking of keeping the faith, Andy's new book Go And Do Likewise is coming out September 22nd and we're taking the show on the road to cities near you. Andy Answers Your Questions Live!
2026/07/30
This week's episode of Andy Beshear Presents is a little different – it's live, and it's all about you. Recorded straight from SiriusXM Progress, Andy opens the phone lines for a real, unfiltered conversation with callers from across the country. No orchestrated questions, no talking points, just Americans calling in with what's actually on their minds, from the state of our politics to the everyday stuff keeping people up at night. And yes, we will talk about Mitch McConnell. Because if this show is about anything, it's about processing this moment together, as friends, not strangers. Secretary Tony Blinken, Breaking the Silence and Trump's Biggest Foreign Policy Mistake
2026/07/23
This week, Andy sits down with two guests fighting for the future of this country on very different fronts. First, former Secretary of State Tony Blinken joins to talk Iran, China's race to dominate global AI, and what he calls the real secret sauce behind American innovation: the alliance between government, universities, research institutions, and the national labs, paired with a welcome mat for the world's best and brightest. Secretary Blinken makes the case that formula is being ripped apart right now, and lays out exactly what that damage looks like. Plus, he gets honest about his secret, surprising talent. Then, Andy is joined by Garlin Gilchrist, running for Michigan Secretary of State at a moment when that office matters more than almost any other in the country. Trump just used a primetime address to order the FBI to investigate long-debunked claims about Michigan's elections. His DOJ is sending federal monitors into three Michigan cities, including Garlin's hometown of Detroit. And Garlin's opponent, a sitting county clerk, has hired someone tied to January 6th to his own office. Garlin breaks down what it actually takes to defend an election right now – not in theory, but in practice. Will Beshear is back with a big announcement and drops some Gen Z Lingo. And Andy and friends share their thoughts on Trump's new Canadian tariffs, the latest loss of American lives in the Middle East, the Cyclospora outbreak, and the World Cup Final. Suzanne Lambert, Maya Wiley and How To Fight Back For Real
2026/07/16
This week, Andy sits down with two guests bringing very different energy to the same fight. Comedian and political creator Suzanne Lambert, the voice behind "Mean but True" joins to talk about Southern women fighting back, the best french fries, and how the right has learned to weaponize Democrats being too nice. It's a candid, funny, and sharp conversation about why playing nice isn't working. Then Maya Wiley, president and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, joins to break down this week's confirmation hearings for Todd Blanche, Trump's pick for Attorney General, the growing wave of attacks on nonprofits across the country, and the unprecedented indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center. Plus, Andy gets into affordable housing, the Colorado governor's race results, mental health, the latest on Iran, and a much-awaited update on Senator Mitch McConnell. A lot of ground covered this week, let's get into it.  Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
Alex Pearlman Breaks Down Trump's Scandals, Internet Anger, and Comedy in a Crisis
2026/07/09
This episode is an exhale. This week, Andy welcomes Philly's own Alex Pearlman, the comedian and internet personality better known to over a million followers as @pearlmania500. Alex has spent 20 years as a stand-up comedian and built a massive online following with his loud, unfiltered takes on everything from local news to national politics, even landing a seat in the press corps after one of his videos on the I-95 collapse went viral. Now he's bringing that same energy into the studio to talk Trump, online reactions and speaking up (yelling!) when you can. Plus, our interns take the wheel for a special rapid fire edition of Gen Z Lingo. No cap.  It's a lighter episode with a lot of laughs, a couple cringes, and a genuine generational exchange about how young people communicate – and why it matters for anyone trying to actually reach them. 250 Years In, Eyes on November: The Primed for 2026 Recap
2026/07/02
This July marks 250 years since America declared its independence – and on this special America250 episode, Andy takes a step back to celebrate not just the country's birthday, but the people stepping up to serve it. All year long, the Primed for 2026 series has crisscrossed the country, sitting down with the candidates and leaders shaping this critical midterm year. Now, with primary season largely behind us and the road to November coming into focus, it's time for a recap. Looking to get caught up on all the top gov races happening in November? Look no further. 50 minutes, 36 governor's races, it's time for a rapid-fire round. We're revisiting the competitive governor primary in Maine, Georgia and the Colorado race that happened just this week. Plus, the open-seat battle for Michigan's governorship, Dr. Amy Acton's fight for Ohio, Gov. Katie Hobbs's reelection bid in Arizona, Rob Sand's big moves in Iowa, and a look ahead at the critical 2026 midterms. Many of these candidates have now won their primaries and are gearing up for the general election. This will be a big fight. As we mark a quarter-millennium of American self-government, this episode is a reminder of what the founders actually built: not a finished product, but an ongoing argument about who gets to lead, and how. Here's to 250 years, and to the people still showing up to do the work. Let's get into it. Looking for more deep-dives ahead of the 2026 election? Former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, Knowa De Baraso and Holding Nothing Back
2026/06/25
With an alleged ceasefire in Iran, Andy Beshear sits down with former national security advisor Susan Rice, the only person in American history to serve as both National Security Advisor and Domestic Policy Advisor to the President of the United States for a sweeping conversation on the crises demanding America's attention abroad right now. They dig into the wars in Ukraine and Iran, the complicated history and future of U.S.-Cuba relations, the gutting of the Voting Rights Act, and what it feels like to be in the Situation Room in critical moments. Rice has advised two presidents, represented America at the United Nations, and spent decades at the center of the hardest decisions this country has had to make. And now, she's watching a very different White House's Situation Room and not holding anything hold back. Then, Andy sits down with Knowa De Baraso a 14-year-old political commentator, debater, and podcaster who is already one of the most exciting young voices in American politics. Knowa has interviewed Vice President Kamala Harris, gone toe-to-toe with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, and built a platform rooted in the kind of fearlessness that many adults twice his age haven't found. They talk about why young people belong in this conversation, what it's like to debate grown men who don't take you seriously, the real influence of political influencers, and why the 2026 midterms may be the most important election of his lifetime – even if he can't vote in them yet. And as always, Andy chimes in on the headlines this week including the not-so-Reflecting Pool, rising tensions between Trump and Congress, JD Vance's The View appearance, and the US Men's Soccer Team's big win. Don't miss it. Adam Mockler, Mrs. Frazzled and Telling the Truth Online
2026/06/18
This week, Andy Beshear sits down with two fearless voices in political media: YouTube star and political commentator Adam Mockler and former kindergarten teacher-turned-education-advocate Arielle Fodor, better known as Mrs. Frazzled. They dig into reaching people who have been written off, hold powerful people accountable, and keeping Americans informed and engaged in an era of rampant misinformation. Then, First Lady Britainy Beshear and the First Dog herself, Winnie, stop by for a special Ask Andy segment – because not every question has to be about foreign policy. And we close out with a rapid-fire roundup of the week's biggest moments: the Iran ceasefire and what it means for stability in the Middle East, Donald Trump's 80th birthday/UFC fight at the White House, Elon Musk crossing the trillion-dollar threshold, and the New York Knicks getting it done.
