The Hidden Compulsions Behind Relationship Anxiety and ROCD
2026/07/15
If you feel stuck in a cycle of overthinking your relationship, checking your feelings, seeking reassurance, or constantly wondering if you're with the right person, this episode is for you.
Today we're diving into the hidden compulsions that keep relationship anxiety and Relationship OCD (ROCD) alive. We'll talk about common compulsions like testing your feelings, confessing doubts, comparing your relationship, replaying conversations, future projecting, reassurance seeking, and more. You'll learn why these behaviors actually strengthen anxiety—even when they seem helpful in the moment.
Most importantly, I'll share simple, practical ways to start breaking the cycle with more self-compassion and less fear. Recovery isn't about getting rid of every anxious thought—it's about learning how to respond differently so anxiety no longer runs your relationship.
If you're ready to better understand your brain and take one step closer to healing, this episode is for you!
Anxiety vs. Intuition
2026/06/15
In this episode, we're tackling one of the most common questions people with relationship anxiety and ROCD ask:
"Is this anxiety, or is it intuition?"
We'll talk about why we crave certainty, how anxiety disguises itself, and the characteristics that can help you recognize the language of anxiety—from urgent what-if stories to the tight, fearful sensations in your body.
If you've ever felt afraid of missing your intuition or worried about making the "wrong" decision, this episode is for you. ❤️
5 Things I Learned About God in OCD Recovery
2026/05/15
In this episode, I’m sharing some of the biggest things I’ve learned about God during my OCD and anxiety recovery—things that really changed my relationship with Him. I used to think doubt meant I was doing something wrong, but I’ve come to know a God who is gentle with doubt, doesn’t speak through urgency or fear, and is so patient as we grow. I also talk about learning to recognize the difference between God’s voice and anxious thoughts.
I also share how deconstructing and rebuilding my faith has actually been a really normal and important part of growth, and how God doesn’t need us to be perfect before we come to Him. He wants to meet us right in the mess. If you’ve ever felt scared of your doubts or unsure how God sees you in your anxiety, this episode is for you. 🤍
Also—my free 45-minute consult calls are open right now, and I would genuinely love to connect with you and see if coaching could support you!

You're Not Stuck
2026/04/03
If you’ve been feeling stuck in anxiety, OCD, or just frustrated with parts of your life you can’t control, this episode is for you. I’m sharing a perspective that has truly changed my life: what if life is like a hand of cards you’ve been dealt—and instead of wishing for a different hand, you learn how to win with the one you have?
We’re going to talk about what it looks like to step out of victim mode and into empowerment, and how becoming an expert in your struggles can actually change everything. Whether this shows up in relationship anxiety, your mental health, or even physical challenges, my hope is that this episode helps you feel more grounded, more capable, and a little more hopeful moving forward.
Creating Healthy Boundaries
2026/02/23
Boundaries are everywhere right now. Everyone is talking about them. But, most of what we’ve been taught about boundaries isn’t actually helpful.
In this episode, I’m breaking down what boundaries really are, and what they’re not. A boundary is not controlling someone else. It’s not telling someone what they can or cannot do. A boundary is how you keep yourself safe.
We’ll talk about:
The difference between a request and a boundary
Why boundaries build self-trust
How boundaries actually create deeper connection (not distance)
Why boundaries don’t mean you’re in the wrong relationship
Why anxiety might spike a little after you set one (and why that’s okay)
If you’ve ever felt u sure about how to actually create a healthy boundary, this episode is for you! Boundaries aren’t about control — they’re about safety, which allows you to love so much more abundantly.
5 Tips For Valentine's Day
2026/02/12
Valentine’s Day can bring up a lot when you struggle with relationship anxiety or ROCD. The pressure to feel in love, to feel certain, or to make sure your partner shows up “the right way” can turn one simple day into a spiral.
In this episode, I’m sharing 5 gentle tips to help you move through Valentine’s Day with more calm and intention — from letting go of feeling-checking, to not testing your partner, to choosing love as an action instead of obsessing over love as a feeling.

Distinguishing the Voice of Anxiety
2026/01/20
In this episode of The Relationship Anxiety Podcast, Kresenya shares how learning to distinguish between these two voices became a turning point in her healing. She explains how anxiety and OCD seek certainty, urgency, and perfection - while God's voice allows space for uncertainty, grace, and patience.
Through personal examples and compassionate guidance, Kresenya offers tools to help you respond to anxiety without judgement and reconnect with a calmer, more grounded faith.
If you struggle with relationship anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or religious OCD, this episode offers clarity, hope, and permission to rest.
When Your Emotions Feel Big
2026/01/02
In this episode of the Relationship Anxiety Podcast, I’m sharing one of my favorite tools for regulating emotions: EFT tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique). This is a practice I use personally and with clients to help calm the nervous system and lower the intensity of anxious thoughts—especially around relationships.
I walk you through what EFT tapping is, how it works, and why it can be so effective for relationship anxiety. Then I guide you through a full tapping script focused on one of the most common fears I see: the fear of choosing the wrong person.
We move through three important phases—acknowledging what you’re really feeling, creating safety for those emotions, and gently reframing anxious thoughts once your body feels more regulated. You’re welcome to tap along in real time or come back to this practice whenever you need it.
With all of this, remember: the goal isn’t to get rid of anxiety—it’s to learn how to support yourself when it shows up. You’re doing an amazing job!
You Don't Have to Keep Everyone Happy at Christmas
2025/12/03
In this episode, we’re diving into something so many of us people-pleasers struggle with, especially during the holidays: feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions. If you find yourself tiptoeing around family dynamics, worrying about how your partner is being perceived, or trying to keep every single person happy (even at the cost of your own peace), this one is for you.
I’ll walk you through why we slip into people-pleasing mode, how it actually comes from a protective part of us, and a reframe that has completely changed the way I show up. It’s not about making everyone else feel good—it’s about choosing the kind of person you want to be. You get to let people handle their own emotions, and you get to show up in the world with grace and kindness because it feels true to you.
Self Trust Doesn't Mean Believing Every Thought
2025/11/15
In this episode, we'll break down what self-trust actually is-and why it absolutely does not mean believing every anxious thought your brain offers. If you live with relationship anxiety or ROCD, the idea of "trusting yourself" can feel scary or confusing. I'll share what true self-trust is: about building a compassionate, consistent relationship with yourself-one where you show up, listen, and support yourself no matter what. You won't want to miss this episode!
Anxiety is Boring
2025/11/03
Today's episode is about how to respond to random anxious thoughts that pop up during the day. It's tempting to respond with frantic and panicky energy, but what if we responded with boredom? Responding with boredom helps show our brains that we're not really in danger at all. If you're intrigued, today's episode is for you!
Anxiety as a Protector from Wounds
2025/10/28
This podcast is all about what anxiety is trying to protect us from, and how to actually heal the root cause. Your anxiety isn't a problem--it's a protector from a deeper wound. But, we have to learn how to befriend anxiety before it will let us in to heal the wound. You won't want to miss this episode!
What It Actually Means to Overcome the Natural Man
2025/10/13
This week's episode is all about what it really means to overcome the natural man. We are taught that the natural man is an enemy to God, and because of this, start to vilify different emotions and behaviors we have. We start to use willpower to try to change our actions, which doesn't work very well long term. In this episode, I talk about what the natural man really is and a much more attainable way to overcome it.
Scrupulosity and ROCD
2025/09/01
This week's episode is all about scrupulosity (religious OCD) and relationship OCD and how they can interact with each other. I also discuss different ways to heal the root problem of scrupulosity, along with some personal examples of how it showed up in my life. This is one of my favorite topics and things to coach on, so if this resonates, please reach out to me @kresenyaclairecoaching on Instagram or sign up for a free mini session with me!
Feeling Your Feelings
2025/07/29
This episode is all about how to actually feel and process your emotions! Processing emotions is probably something you've heard people say a lot about, but maybe you've wondered how to actually do it! If so, this is the podcast for you :)
Disclaimer: deep trauma can bring up big emotions-these are best handled with a trauma therapist!
