Bart and his wife own a 2023 Zenith Red Lucid Air Touring with a Tahoe interior and 21-inch Aero Blade wheels, along with a 2026 Aurora Green Lucid Gravity Touring,also with a Tahoe interior, featuring 21- and 22-inch Orion wheels with the Aero covers removed. Beyond being an enthusiastic owner, Bart is also a moderator of the Lucid Owners Club Facebook group, a community of approximately 27,000 members. He enjoys sharing his knowledge, helping new owners get the most out of their vehicles, and guiding prospective buyers as they explore what makes Lucid special. Send us Fan Mail Hello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Abhinav Akhouri, aka Abhi, as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I first met Abhi on Instagram where we follow each other. He reacted to one of my posts about an upcoming episode on @luciddriverpodcast. Abhi, who is on his third Air, a gorgeous White Stealth Grand Touring, commented I should host a podcast about Lucid accessories and what’s worth it and what’s not. I responded that was a good idea, and I thanked him for his kind comment that, “I really appreciate what you are doing, and I am hopeful that it will help bring more awareness for the Lucid brand.”    He let me know what accessories he had experience with—essentially everything available for the Air—and offered to be a resource for me coming up with the content for the episode. I told Abhi. “You’re not getting off that easy, and invited him to come on the show”   Abhi told me, “I live in Miami, Florida. I am a 36-year-old Management Consultant. I had leased a 2023 Air Pure for an ex and loved it so much that I leased a second 2023 Air Pure for myself. Then I got the itch to get a Grand Touring, so early returned both Pures and leased a 2025 Air GT (Bianca) in Nov 2024. I work from home, so I don't necessarily use my car for commuting, every drive feels special and fun. I first heard about Lucid through MKBHD's video back in 2017 I believe and thought it was an incredible blend of my 2 loves: Cars and Technology. I also have a cousin who works as an engineer at Lucid and hearing his passion for the product and the brand, had me very intrigued. I had the opportunity to visit the Headquarters in 2024, and in talking with Peter, Derek, and the other executives, I could see why this is easily the best EV in the world. In the first 16 months of Lucid Driver podcast’s existence, it was tough to get a Sapphire owner on the show; I was fortunate to host Michael Mainetti, a New York attorney over a year ago; Micheal had Sapphire number 34 out of the first 250. However, it has been a Sapphire drought since. Then, last week I hosted a Sapphire owner who lives in Germany, and then again, this week we are fortunate to have Kurt Hintz. I have had Sapphire households, 2-Gravity households, a household with a Lucid Dream Edition Air Grand Touring and a Lucid Gravity Dream Edition but no one quite matches the Hintz household!   Kurt posted this on Facebook, and I was like, ‘Let the begging for him to come on the podcast begin’:   “My first Lucid was an Air Grand Touring. Loved the car from the moment I drove it. Unfortunately, a minor accident totaled it. Replaced it with a Gravity Grand Touring. Love the car, my wife's Navigator lease was up, so I opted to give her the Gravity and buy myself the Sapphire. My toy car is a McLaren 750s. While esthetically the McLaren is superior, and the power delivers. It's hard to not belly laugh every time I launch this Sapphire. I am delighted to welcome Richard Silva (RJ) Owner, Eye Kandy Wraps www.eyekandywraps.com, and Eye Kandy Designs www.EyeKandyDesigns.com  as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast.   RJ told me, “I’ve always been into custom vehicles since I was young working on vehicles with my Dad in our garage. I started dating my high school sweetheart in ‘98, married her in’08. Following her medical schooling she ultimately ended up at Mayo Clinic Phoenix/Scottsdale where we now have an 8-year-old girl, 4- and 2-year-old boys. I’ve owned my Eye Kandy Designs business since leaving my Architectural career in 2004 to pursue my own business in graphic design and apparel. Started Eye Kandy Wraps about 6 years ago, technically an addition to Eye Kandy Designs but just wanted to keep the two separates for liability reasons.    When I went to 2023 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) in Las Vegas I was one of the owners that had preordered in 2022 and received my Air Touring on Feb 14, 2023. I come from a background of customizing vehicles and knew I wanted to do the same with my Lucid before I even got it. Wrapped it in May of 2023 in colored PPF, put it on full air ride suspension and changed the wheels in October 2023 to Vossen 22" wrapped in Lexani Performance tires—just in time to take it to the SEMA show in Las Vegas in November in the Flexishield Booth. Let's just say it was getting more attention than all the other cars in the booth which included a Hamilton collection exotic and Stradman's Lamborghini....not because it was worth more but because it was so unique and the first one in the world (still is) on full air ride suspension and highly customized. The following year 2024 it went again to SEMA under Strada Wheels and actually took the spot of what was supposed to be Shaq's 2-door Air ai it was not completed in time.  I'm one of two Lucid Owners regional leads in the Phoenix, AZ area and help Susanne where I can with the planned owner’s rallies. I have thrown several Lucid's and Lattes which the name came about by Debbie Doll, and I am the one who designed the logo. I've been to the factory for Lucid Family Day for two years, as well as was invited to the Lucid Gravity reveal day where I got my three hood signatures from the executives. I've driven to EV fests two years (missed this last year) and got to hang out with the Cali owners. I personally wrap Airs and Gravity’s with Clear and color PPF as well as vinyl under my Eye Kandy Wraps business.  I also own Eye Kandy Designs which specializes in making unique apparel and laser engraved and printed material which I have made several non-official Lucid merch for Debbie's Lucids and Lattes and ours that we hold here in AZ. Send us Fan Mail This is an encore episode. Hello, Lucid fans! I am delighted to welcome Michael Moy as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. What a story Michael has! He told me, “I retired several years ago after 30 years at various startup companies. I worked with and for Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning [the founders and original executives of Tesla] at three high tech startups. Here’s their story: https://www.cnbc.com/video/2021/02/06/how-tesla-was-founded-martin-eberhard-and-marc-tarpenning-tell-all.html in case this is news to you as it is to many people.   Needless to say—I was an early Tesla watcher but from afar. The idea had always been when Tesla opened a New York location—I’d try to get in. But by the time that happened Elon had fired all but one or two people I had worked with. I never did buy a Tesla though I put money down on a Model 3. The last person I knew at Tesla—ended up going to Atieva/Lucid—so I watched to see what she was doing. The Lucid Air was unveiled in 2017 at the NY auto show with a starting price of $60K. The all-glass roof and reclining executive rear seats won me over. This was the car for me. Needless to say, when the car came out at $169K in 2021—I had sticker shock for sure! I ended up ordering the Air Touring in June ‘22 and took delivery on Valentine’s Day 2023. So, 26 months and 40K miles later – I still love the car. It’s my first EV and I’ve set a very high bar for any car I buy in the future. I have been to almost all the Lucid studio and service centers from Tyson Corner to Natick and Boston Seaport. I’ve been to over a dozen lucid events and rallies. I drove from NJ to Tampa and back in 4 days. Absolutely no issues charging the car along 95. Stayed at two hotels with free chargers but otherwise all Electrify America stations. As an active member of the NJ Electric Vehicle Association I’ve attended over a dozen Drive Electric and First Responder events in NJ and PA.”   You may recall on Lucid Driver podcast Episode 6 Josh, where guest Josh discussed his Lucid Air Grand Touring appearing in the Netflix miniseries Black Rabbit, set in the New York night club scene starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman. Well Michael’s Air appeared as the double for Josh’s car. Josh’s car was used for the exterior shots and Michael’s car was used for the interior shots. Eric told me, “Following a fulfilling career as a studio musician in Los Angeles, I embarked on a new chapter at the age of 40 by pursuing an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. This transition from my professional focus on efficiency to a personal passion for sustainability and energy independence has been fulfilling. Today, my home and vehicles are powered entirely by a self-sustained energy source, harnessing the power of solar energy, heat pumps, and advanced battery storage. While I once dedicated decades to studying molecular bonds, instead of filling my tank with gasoline, I fill it with gallons of light from the sun. As a committed environmentalist, I take pride in living a life that aligns with the future of clean energy. I was interested in electric vehicles back in 2010 when I heard about Tesla. I purchased my first Tesla in 2013 and my second one in 2017. In 2025, I traded my Tesla in for a 2025 Lucid Grand Touring Air. I loved this car. I loved the range, the safety features, and the breathtaking acceleration. I decided to purchase a Gravity for a number of reasons. My air lease is over in September. I am delighted to welcome Julian Montgomery as my guest on this week’s Lucid Driver podcast. I am so glad I caught up with Julian. You see in the process of researching my Lucid purchase, I suspect that I have watched virtually every Lucid video on YouTube—many of them multiple times! Such was the case with Julian’s content on his channel Julian’s EV Journey. There was something about Julian and his content that spoke to me. Maybe because we share a passion for similar genres of music, although Julian is a professional Composer, Synthesist, and Sound Designer for Film, Television, Video Games and other visual media and well,  I…am not. There was even an episode where Julian’s wife sat in the Lucid with him and their interaction about the car felt familiar. So, when I decided that I would launch—pun intended—this podcast featuring Lucid owners, I knew I would reach out to Julian, and I am so glad he agreed to come on the show. Julian hasn’t updated his Lucid channel in a while, but I would urge prospective purchasers to check it out—it was instrumental for me.
