Could Fujifilm be holding the X-T6 announcement until January or February 2027? In this episode of Film-ish, I explore the rumored delay, the lens announcement timeline, and why giving the X-T6 and X-Pro4 separate launch windows might make sense. I also share why I think the X-Pro4 could arrive in late 2027 or potentially 2028. These are my personal predictions, not confirmed dates or insider information. The X-T6 is shaping up to be THE biggest launch for Fujifilm. With the autofocus issues that hurt the firmware updates back in 2025, this year, the generation 6 sensors need to be a homerun! Do you agree? What would be at the top of your X-T6 wishlist? Join the conversation and let me know. Yesterday, The FujiCast released its final official episode, bringing to a close one of the most beloved podcasts in the photography world. In this episode of Film-ish, I share a personal thank you to Kevin Mullins and Neale James for everything they have contributed to the Fujifilm community over the years. Through hundreds of episodes, interviews, listener questions, gear discussions, and plenty of laughs, The FujiCast became required listening for photographers around the globe. As someone who hosts a photography podcast myself, I've always appreciated the consistency, dedication, and genuine passion that Kevin and Neale brought to every episode. Producing a podcast week after week is no small task, and their work helped create a community that extended far beyond cameras and photography. This episode is simply a note of appreciation and gratitude for a podcast that has inspired countless photographers—including me. Thank you, Kevin. Thank you, Neale. The FujiCast may have aired its final episode, but its impact on the photography community will continue for years to come. In this episode, I dig into Fujifilm’s long-lost compact—the X70—and why we still haven’t seen its successor. With the Ricoh GR IV dominating Japan’s charts, it’s time to ask: did Fuji quietly abandon one of its most beloved designs, or is something new on the horizon?
