Description

DC is a UK NHS working Doctor and a Music Enthusiast, hosting a music themed podcast called The Full Circle which links songs together with the last song linking to the first song, hence completing The Full Circle. Episodes feature either some of DC's favourite musicians, some of his favourite people, or he links songs together solo. In between The Full Circle and general chat, there are also fun features such as "Would You Rather", quizzes tailored to the guest and the now legendary "Abid's Words of Wisdom"! As a Psychiatry Doctor, DC also invites guests to talk about their own Mental Health experiences if they wish, and encourage others to reach out, if they are experiencing their own mental health difficulties.  Follow the Full Circle page on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/fullcirclepodcastDC

The First Ever Full Circle Live On November 13th 2010!
2026/09/28
16 years ago, The Full Circle was born, on RareFM, the live student radio station at UCL, the university I went to. And whilst there were some similarities to the show now, there were a lot of differences too. I was incredibly nervous during the first show, but it was a blast and I wanted to share this for everyone to enjoy ha. My thoughts hearing back: My music taste at 19 was still pretty damn good then if I say so myself I sound quite a bit different these days The patented boom boom boom boom boom shoutout started from the very beginning which was nice to hear ha. Also "hence completing The Full Circle" which shocked me tbh. Catchphrase to end the show hadn't started yet!! I had no idea how to use a fader back then. Had an hour and spoke for 15 minutes only, with music playing the rest, a far cry of the later shows where it was probably the opposite. And most of the time I spoke on this episode was just how to get in contact and saying what time it is.  Playlist for the songs: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3a8qcxvS73GnY1GQnkwE3W I hope you enjoy it anyhow and I'll probably upload more episodes during my time on RareFM, I promise they're a little better!  Visit TheFullCircleDC.com for all things Full Circle related! Kaiser Chiefs Founder & Frontman Of Everyone Says Hi Nick Hodgson Is The Very Special Guest On The Full Circle! Oh My God I Can't Believe It
2026/08/10
Oh My God, I can't believe it! I have a Kaiser Chief on The Full Circle! Founder & drummer of said incredible band as well as frontman for the amazing Everyone Says Hi is the very special guest on The Full Circle! We had a great chat reminiscing about Kaiser Chiefs, including who rated one of their albums 3 out of 10 and why that was so influential for their path after that, the festival which led to one of the band's greatest moments, even if a bit unconventional, and we speak about Everyone Says Hi, their new album Funny Cos It's True due for release on 9th October 2026 and which songs he cannot wait for people to hear. Nick also answers some tough Would You Rather questions, shares a great fun fact never heard before elsewhere and he plays a lyrics quiz where he had to guess which songs were Everyone Says Hi, but the twist is that one of the odd ones out was a song he had written before! And, of course, Nick creates his Full Circle, choosing songs with important meanings related to his childhood in particular! Playlist for the songs: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4EVPl27Xq9BhSBRg80HeYl Everyone Says Hi are doing some album release shows in October! Is Arctic Monkey's Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not The Best Debut Album By A British Rock Band Of All Time?! The Full Circle Album Review
2026/08/03
When Arctic Monkeys were first on the scene, everyone knew they were something special. Their first album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, is an incredible album, and I can't believe it's 20 years old now! So enjoyable to hear it back again and bring back so many memories. Even though there's one or two songs on there that I'm not fussed about, I explain why it ranks so highly for me, giving a general overview and then going track by track, at the end creating my Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not Full Circle i.e. my 5 favourite songs from the album. Playlist here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1PEP5GhbGuY8DCUMyzYbVD Let me know what your favourite songs are from the album! Thank you for checking out the show, and for the support as always! Wheatus Bassist & Host of Weird Al-gorithm Podcast Matthew Milligan Is The Very Special Guest On The Full Circle!
2026/07/27
An absolute honour to have Wheatus bassist Matthew Milligan on The Full Circle! He speaks about his time with Wheatus, being called a "one-hit wonder" band, answering the most pressing Would You Rather questions such as whether he'd rather his bass made a fart noise or he tripped over for every wrong note Matthew plays live, why he loves talking about Weird Al so much and he plays a tough quiz called "Which Wheatus Said This?" where he had to guess which Wheatus member said a particular quote! Matthew's Full Circle was epic! A lot of the songs were based bassists that have been influential to him, ranging from Blink-182 to Primus!  Playlist for the songs: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/72wN7agFvhMNHKwl0ybX9n Head over to https://wheatus.com/shows to get tickets for upcoming shows; they are epic live, and Matthew explains on the show why two shows are never the same! Sleep Token's Take Me Back To Eden Is Their Magnum Opus! The Full Circle Album Review
2026/07/20
Sleep Token's Take Me Back To Eden is a special album and catapulted them into new heights including headlining Download Festival & selling out the o2 Arena 2 nights in the same week. Since then they have had top 10 singles and topped the album charts, but without Take Me Back To Eden, this would likely never have happened. I give a summary of the album along with a track-by-track. I also share my controversial early opinion of them as well as sharing which track was the catalyst for them to get to where they are today. I also create the Take Me Back To Eden Full Circle, revealing my 5 favourite songs in album order, one of those they have never performed live! Hopefully one day Playlist for the songs here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6j3NWyxLLm4Gq0BsBesf5Q Do you agree with my top 5?  Thank you for checking out the episode and the support as always! The Full Circle Rewind: Frank Turner Creates His Full Circle!
2026/07/13
One year ago, I had Frank Turner on The Full Circle. He was the first musician to come on the show and if it wasn't for him, I would not have been able to speak to so many more incredible musicians since. I wanted to celebrate this by re-releasing the episode with a new spoken intro by myself before the conversation with Frank!   We spoke about: - How touring went in 2025 and speaking about the returning Million Dead prior to completing their now confirmed final UK tour in December 2025!  - He answered some tough Would You Rather questions, including if he'd played the same venue forever with a different setlist every time, or different venues forever with the same setlist every time! - He also played Which Frank said this? A game where he had to figure out if he, Frank Turner, said a particular quote in a previous interview or if it was his friend, fellow musician, and current touring singer for Sex Pistols (and also someone others have confused him with), Frank Carter! - And of course, Frank makes his Full Circle, ranging from Million Dead to Descendents!  Link to the songs are here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2iYkuvFNfqc9yKg647ysv7 All this and so much more on this week's episode! Follow Frank Turner on Instagram: https://instagram.com/frankturner Thank you to Frank Turner for his time on the show, and thank you to each and every one of you for the ongoing support!  Visit TheFullCircleDC.com for all things Full Circle related! Funeral For A Friend's Ryan Richards Creates His Full Circle, Plays Which Ryan Said This & More!
2026/07/06
Ryan Richards is a truly incredible person and it's an absolute honour to have him on The Full Circle this week! He is the drummer and scream vocalist for the incredible band Funeral For A Friend, who are headlining 2000Trees on Friday 10th July! Get last remaining tickets: https://2000trees.co.uk/tickets  (As an aside, the line up is incredible, and whilst it absolutely sucks that Alkaline Trio have had to drop out (get well soon Matt Skiba!), Don Broco replacing is about as good as you can get from such a rubbish situation.) Ryan is also the CEO of management company Future History and is one of the most successful rock managers in the world with an incredible roster including Sleep Token, Holding Absence & PRESIDENT and more. On the show: Ryan reveals the hottest place he's ever performed (we recorded this during the recording breaking heatwave happened in the UK in June), he answers some tough Would You Rather questions (including whether he'd want to perform Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation in full again or Hours in full again), and he plays a quiz called Which Ryan Said This? Where he had to guess if the quote was by him or by Hollywood's Ryan Reynolds, and we also spoke about Wrexham and the impact they have had on Welsh Football. Ryan also creates his very personal Full Circle ranging from Black Sabbath to Iron Maiden, and ending with Funeral For A Friend (fun fact: my favourite song of theirs!). Playlist for the songs here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2paFMo6cWg7YG8HZ5fXfPJ Thank you to Ryan for coming on The Full Circle, and thank you for checking out the episode!  Visit TheFullCircleDC.com for all things Full Circle related! Oh My God! It's The Church Frontman Reverend Michael Alabama Jackson Creates His Full Circle & Forgives Your Confessions! (Or Does He?!)
2026/06/29
An absolute honour to have 2x Alabama State Preaching Champion in 2005 & 2010 and frontman of the religious revelation Oh My God! It's The Church Reverend Michael Alabama Jackson!  Their shows are absolutely incredible and a truly unique experience with their goal being to give their congregation the best time combining rock n roll, music from the soul and some religious aspects hosted by the "morally flexible" Reverend. Head over to ohmygoditsthechurch.com to attend one of the upcoming services either in the summer festival circuit, or their Original Sinners Tour in November 2026! On the show: The Reverend explains the band in a nutshell (not easy!), he also answers some tough Would You Rather questions (including whether to be The Pope or Archbishop of Canterbury) and I asked Rev whether he would forgive Confessions provided by The Full Circle Nation, which is also part of their live shows! Did Rev forgive everyone or is anyone going to Hell?! And of course, Rev creates his Full Circle, ranging from David Bowie to Electric Six!
