We are so back! (Emmerdale recap, June-July 2026)
2026/07/20
It's the end of our summer hiatus! This is our first ever episode recorded with us both in the same place - in Leeds, as we went on the Emmerdale Village Tour together on Saturday, so get ready for a debrief on all the drama of that, as well as a recap of the main plot points from the last 6 weeks or so and some chat about recent events in the village.

A little announcement
2026/06/16
We are going on a summer break, but didn't want to leave you without any warning. So in this short non-episode, we discuss stray highlights from Simon's notes app, farming content in our own recent lives, and (most excitingly) some Emmerdale celebs that Lizzie has been hanging out with lately!
Classic ep: Victoria falls through the ice (Emmerdale 25th December 2008)
2026/06/02
Simon is on holiday, so we're interrupting our usual podcast schedule with a review of a classic episode from Christmas Day 2008! We thought it would be primarily about Vic falling through the frozen lake, but it turned out to be largely about rabbit stew and rural church ownership battles, which on balance we probably enjoyed more.

Why we don't trust the Emmerdale writers any more (Emmerdale 4-15 May 2026)
2026/05/16
Cain tries some good old-fashioned kidnapping, Dr Todd continues her reign of quite confusing evil, people end long-running careers at the drop of a hat, and we see more darts than we could ever have wished for. Simon and Lizzie look over the past couple of weeks of Emmerdale. And maybe we got a shout out?!
Do get in touch at [email protected] - and thank you for all your engagement over the past year. Happy anniversary us!
Ubiquitous rabbit stew (Emmerdale 13th April - 1st May 2026)
2026/05/01
This time we're reviewing a whole three weeks of Emmerdale, and things have certainly been happening in the village! We discuss how Mike Parr and Shebz Miah continue to uphold the whole programme, Lydia is relentlessly making rabbit stew and/or crocheting herself senseless, and, for some reason, include a deep dive on anaemia and haemochromotosis. Enjoy!
Email us at [email protected] - we love to hear from you!
Grunting and grifting (Emmerdale 30 March - 12 April 2026)
2026/04/12
Dawn finds her line in the sand, Marlon and Paddy smash up furniture, Who Poisoned Kim and Who Hit Cain are solved in minutes... and we try to get to the bottom of what Ruby's wine business actually is, when you stop to think about it.

Waxing is farming content (Emmerdale 9-26 March 2026)
2026/03/28
Cow rustling, Robert and Aaron sharing a sofa, Charity having the world's longest pregnancy... it's all going on in Emmerdale. Simon and Lizzie delve into the past three weeks in everyone's favourite village.

Classic ep (with special guest Tamsin from Pop Goes the Tam Tam!): Katie Sugden's death (Emmerdale 5th Feb 2015)
2026/03/22
We pause our regular broadcasting to share a special episode where we teamed up with the wonderful Tamsin from the Pop Goes the Tam Tam podcast to talk about a classic Emmerdale episode, when Katie Sugden sadly fell to her death in a barn. We talk about the extent of Robert's culpability, the limited range of photos on Katie's phone, and so many more things... you can watch the original episode yourself here!

Are sheep an aphrodisiac? (Emmerdale 23rd February - 6th March 2026)
2026/03/08
It's been a curious time in Emmerdale village - whilst an awful lot has been going on, there also seems to have been no real narrative progress in the last two weeks, but we still found a way to talk for over an hour about whether or not Joe Tate now has a side parting, why Lewis and Vinny's first kiss had to be quite so public, and which members of the Emmerdale cast Simon could win a fight against (not many).

Laughed out loud
“Seeing Eric in the pub was a jump scare.” Observational comedy meets an unhealthy level of Emmerdale detail. Perfect combination.
