Why You’re Still Broke When You’re Earning Good Money — Kim Kent on Wealth, Self-Worth & Identity
2026/09/23
Send us Fan Mail
What if your money problems aren't actually about money?
In this episode of The Pursuit of MiSELF, I’m joined by money coach Kim Kent for a conversation that goes way deeper than budgeting, saving and earning more.
Kim shares the story of growing up in a home where money was a constant source of conflict, becoming the high achiever who believed success would finally make her feel enough, and then finding herself earning $100,000 a year in her twenties — with maxed-out credit cards and no savings.
The turning point came when Kim realised that earning more wasn't going to solve the problem.
She needed to change her relationship with money.
We talk about the identity, self-worth and subconscious patterns that can keep you stuck in scarcity — even when you're earning good money. We explore why some women spend money as quickly as it comes in, why looking at your numbers can feel so uncomfortable, and why simply earning more doesn't necessarily create wealth.
Kim also shares what happened when she invested $21,000 in herself, the wealth principles that changed everything for her, and how she learned to become the woman who could actually hold more money.
We dive into:
✨ Why “it's never enough” can have nothing to do with how much you earn
✨ The connection between self-worth and your bank account
✨ Why your subconscious can keep recreating the same financial patterns
✨ The difference between earning money and actually building wealth
✨ Why investing in yourself can create a bigger shift than another course or strategy
✨ How to recognise the money leaks you don't even realise are happening
✨ What happens when you stop outsourcing your power and take responsibility for your financial life
✨ Why expansion can feel uncomfortable — and how to become more comfortable with being stretched
✨ The importance of becoming the woman who can actually hold the wealth you're asking for
This is such a juicy conversation about money, identity, responsibility, expansion and becoming the next version of yourself.
Because ultimately, it's not just about how much money you have.
It's about who you believe you are with money.
Connect with Kim Kent and explore her work via the links in the show notes.
And if this episode hits a nerve, don't dismiss that feeling.
It might be showing you exactly where your next level begins.
I Sobbed for 24 Hours (And Almost Didn't Post This)
2026/09/08

I sobbed for 24 hours before I could sit down and record this. And I almost didn't post it at all.
No five-step framework. No "how to manifest" episode. Just me, unscripted, after a moment that cracked something open I didn't know I was still carrying.
I've built a life I'm genuinely proud of. And I still drove past a picture of the life I thought I'd have and couldn't stop crying — not for a minute, for a full day. Both of those things are true at once. That's the duality nobody warns you about.
In this episode I talk about what was actually underneath the tears — the gap between saying I'm fine and what's really going on, and the masculine "let's go, what's next" pattern that takes over the second I stop feeling something. About what that's costing me in my relationship, my business and my nervous system. About why so many high-achieving women — the ones everyone relies on, the ones who've "done everything right" — are exhausted from managing an image instead of living a life.
This isn't a polished lesson. It's what it actually looks like to sit in something instead of talking yourself out of it. If you've ever felt guilty for wanting more, or caught yourself saying "I should be grateful" when what you meant was something else entirely — this one's for you.
I also talk about Academy, my six-month mastermind for women building identity, business and wealth without the performance. Doors are open now and close Sunday 13 September — details in the show notes, or come find me on Instagram.

The 5 Blocks Keeping You "Almost" Ready

You know the behavior. You've named it a hundred times — I'm a people pleaser, I catastrophize everything, I'm just not ready yet. But naming the behavior isn't the work. The work is asking what it's protecting you from.
In this episode I walk through the five blocks I see sitting in the gap between where you are and where you want to be — the gratitude trap, the catastrophe brain, the performing self, the permission loop, and the one that costs the most: the cost of almost. Not as flaws. As your nervous system protecting a capacity you haven't built yet.
I also get into the identity work underneath all of it — why 85% of lottery winners lose their money fast, what it actually means to make decisions as the CEO of your life instead of the admin running it, and why capacity, not certainty, is the thing that moves the needle.
If you've done the personal development work and you're still flat, still stuck, still waiting for permission — this is the gap we work in at She Evolves. Waitlist is open at miself.com.au.
Ep - 51 (Part 1) Your Identity Doesn't Care About Your Goals

Welcome back to The Pursuit of Myself — Rayne's back after evolving the business through live events, three-day identity immersions, a business strategy event, a mastermind, and the Identity Wealth Challenge, with a new Academy cohort opening in September.
In Part 1 of this two-part episode, Rayne breaks down why your identity — not your strategy — is what's actually building (or blocking) your business. Inside this episode:
Why coaching identity creates expansion everywhere else in life — money, clients, creativity, relationships
Rayne's own business story, from finance broking to hospitality to the identity rebuild after separation
The six-layer map behind every stuck business: Soul → Emotional Injuries → Conditioning → Mask → Behaviour → Life Results
The line worth sitting with: "Your identity doesn't give a crap about your goals."
Why safety and expansion can't coexist — and how to recognise contraction instead of running from it
Part 1 ends right where the real work begins. In Part 2, Rayne unpacks the five blocks that show up disguised as excuses when you're in contraction — and they're probably not what you think.

The Lie of Perfect Timing and How I Use This As My Superpower

You're not stuck because you're lazy. You're stuck because staying stuck has a payoff — no risk, no failure, no having to try. In this episode I'm calling that out, and I'm calling out the "when I'm ready" story you've been telling yourself for months, maybe years.
This one's personal. I walk you through the two moments in my own life — launching this podcast and building She Evolves into a 3-Day event — where I made the decision before I had a single piece of evidence it would work. No bank of episodes. No venue. No numbers. Just the decision, and then the building backward to make it true.
In this episode:
Why "be, do, have" is the order that actually works — not the other way aroundThe real difference between a deadline on a calendar and a deadline that's already in motionWhy fear showing up doesn't mean you're wrong — it means you're standing exactly where it mattersThe difference between capacity and certainty, and why only one of them actually moves you forwardA rebellious act of self-love: choosing before the proof existsIf you've been waiting for confidence, evidence, or permission before you take the next step — this is your sign that the waiting is the story, not the truth.

Breaking Up With Your Good Girl. She's Costing You

This Masterclass Almost Didn't Make It to the Podcast
I ran a live masterclass this week called The Ex-Good Girl, and about ten minutes in I knew I had to get it out to more of you than just the women who were on the call. So this episode is that masterclass, live and unfiltered.
We get into the good girl pattern — where it actually comes from, why it's not a personality quirk but a survival strategy you built so young you've never lived without it, and what it's quietly costing you in your marriage, your friendships, your money, and your body.
I also break down why just seeing the pattern never actually changes it. Awareness isn't the same as capacity, and I walk through exactly what capacity actually means and how you build it — because "just stop people pleasing" was never going to work for you.
This one got raw. I went off script a few times because honestly, it was hitting me too.
In this episode:
Why your attachment to being "good" is what's actually keeping you stuckThe difference between awareness and capacity (and why awareness alone makes things feel worse before better)The three moves that actually build nervous system capacityWhy boundaries fail when they come from the same identity that created the problemWhat happens in your relationships, money, and purpose when you finally stop performingIf this episode moves something in you, come find me on Instagram and tell me — I read every message.
And if you're ready to do this work in person, not just hear about it, my three-day immersion She Evolves is coming up July 29–31 in Perth. Link in bio.
How to Build a Personal Brand When You're Terrified of Being Seen with Kate Wright
2026/07/07

She's a visibility coach who spent six years hiding behind a business name instead of her own.
Kate Wright helps women become visible — in their brands, their businesses, their lives. In this episode, she tells me the truth about what it actually took to become visible herself.
We talk about the blushing problem she took to a GP in her twenties, hoping for a pill. The fertility journey that cracked her open and forced her to listen to her body for the first time. The marriage that ended and taught her the word codependency — and how much of her life had been built around fixing, saving, and shrinking so other people would feel comfortable.
We get into why she hid behind a business name instead of her own for six years. What she thought she'd lose if people found out she was "woo woo." Why playing small felt safer than being known — even while she was coaching other women to do the opposite.
This is not a marketing episode. This is what's actually underneath visibility.
If you've ever picked up your phone to post something true and put it back down, this one's for you.
We can do hard things.

She Got You Here. She Won't Get You There.
The woman who survived the divorce, built the business, raised the kids, and held everything together — she is extraordinary. And she is not the one who gets you to what's next.
In this episode, Rayne gets honest about the identity gap that keeps high-achieving women spinning their wheels — doing the courses, attending the retreats, listening to the podcasts, and returning to the same life. The problem isn't effort. It's that your nervous system doesn't rise to the level of your goals. It rises to the level of your unconscious beliefs.
Rayne breaks down why comfort is the most dangerous place to stay, what it really means when you catch yourself saying "I used to be braver than this," and why attaching to an old version of yourself isn't nostalgia — it's protection from what courage actually requires of you now.
This one is raw, unscripted, and deeply personal. Rayne is doing this work in real time alongside you.
In this episode:
Why the identity that built your current life can't build your next oneWhat your nervous system is actually protecting you fromThe difference between naming your pattern and doing something about itHow to start stepping into the woman who already has what you wantReady to collapse the gap?

What If I Just Want More? And why I'm not ungrateful.

"I don't know what I want, but I know I just want more."
If that sentence has ever passed through you — at the kitchen sink, in the school car park, halfway through a day that looks successful on paper — this episode is for you.
Rayne unpacks why so many capable, accomplished women cannot articulate what "more" actually means — and why that's not a sign you're confused, ungrateful, or asking for too much. It's evidence of something much deeper.
In this episode:
Why women are conditioned to be satisfied while men are conditioned to be ambitiousWhat happens when a performed life eats the language for your own desireWhy "more" isn't a bigger life — it's a different woman walking down the same hallwayA personal reflection on the desires Rayne suppressed inside her marriage, and what she learnt from itThe cost of "almost" — and why almost is the most expensive place a woman can liveWhy permission is the missing piece, and the only person who can give it to you is youIf anything in this episode lands in your body — not your head, your body — that's the felt sense of recognition. That recognition is exactly what we move through inside the free masterclass Permission to Want More, Wednesday 3 June at 5:30pm AEST.

Why Staying Small Is Costing You More Than Money
2026/05/20
Send us Fan Mail
Everyone tells you that you need more visibility.
Post more. Show up more. Be louder. Sell harder.
But what if visibility was never about social media?
What if the real problem isn’t that you aren’t posting enough… it’s that you’ve spent your whole life learning how to stay small?
In this episode, I’m unpacking the version of visibility nobody talks about:
✨ Asking for what you need
✨ Saying what you actually think
✨ Taking up space in your relationships, business and life
✨ Being seen without abandoning yourself
We dive into:
Why women were conditioned to shrink The nervous system’s role in keeping you “safe” through invisibility Why confidence isn’t the answer The foundations every woman needs before she can truly be seen The difference between visibility and exposure The hidden cost of staying quiet And I share the woman I think about every single day… the one sitting in the bath at 11pm, screenshotting inspirational quotes, feeling the pull for more, but going back to the same life on Monday.
Because the heartbreak isn’t the missed sale.
The heartbreak is the life you never fully lived.
This episode is for the woman who knows she’s meant for more but keeps shrinking herself to stay comfortable.
It’s time to stop performing.
It’s time to be seen.
'I Want Balance' Is the Most Acceptable Excuse You've Ever Been Given
2026/05/12
Send us Fan Mail
You're not burnt out. You're not failing. You're not even that unhappy, not technically. You're just flat. Going through the motions. Waking up with nothing pulling you forward and calling it fine.
In this episode, Rayne names what's actually happening for the women who look like they have it together but have quietly stopped living. It's not a lack of ambition. It's not fear — not in the way we usually talk about it. And it is definitely not that you need more balance.
Because here's the thing about balance. Nobody argues with it. Nobody calls you out for playing small if you're protecting your peace. For a lot of high-achieving women, balance has become the most sophisticated form of self-abandonment they've ever pulled off and the most convincing lie they tell themselves when desire gets loud enough to be uncomfortable.
This episode is for the woman who knows something is missing but can't name it. The one who keeps almost going toward something and then talking herself out of it. The one whose life looks right on paper and feels hollow underneath.
Suppression contracts. Feeling expands. And inspiration is not something you find it's something you stop suppressing.
If something opens up as you listen, that's the signal. Don't balance it away.

Is This It? (Why That Question Is Actually The Call)
2026/05/05
Send us Fan Mail
There is a version of you walking around — successful, capable, doing all the things — that your soul never agreed to.
She got built. Somewhere along the way, you became her because you had to. The room demanded it. Your family needed it. Love was conditional, belonging had a price, and your nervous system figured out very early what it had to do to keep you safe.
And here's the wild part — she worked. She built the life, held the marriage together (or ended it), got the career, raised the kids, earned the money. She did all of it.
But somewhere — in the car, at 3am, after the second glass of wine when the house has finally gone quiet — something whispers, is this it?
That isn't a malfunction. That isn't depression. That isn't a gratitude problem.
That is the call.
In this episode I'm talking about why we are wired to evolve, why your soul never stops whispering even when conditioning gets loud, and why evolution doesn't actually feel exciting — it can feel like dying. Because the woman you've been built into doesn't get to keep driving. And your ego, which built her to keep you safe, is going to fight you every step of the way.
We're going into:
— Why "is this it?" is your soul talking, not a sign something's wrong — How conditioning has been quietly choosing your partners, your career, your version of success — Why you don't need to blow up your life to admit you want more — The reason we avoid evolution (it's not weakness — it's loyalty) — Why the ego is not the enemy, and what to do with her instead — What evolution actually requires daily — not in a breakthrough, not on a retreat, but in your real life — Discerning between your truth and your fear dressed up as wisdom
This one is for the woman who has done the work, who looks fine on paper, and still feels the gap. The one who can already feel her soul knocking.
You can think about evolving for another year. You can read another book. Or you can put yourself in a room where it actually happens to you.
She EVOLVES - MAY 22, PERTH. One day. With me. With other women hearing the same call you are. You won't leave with information. You will leave with an experience — the first felt moment of who you actually are underneath the woman who was built to belong.
Tickets are on sale and selling fast.

If something in you just leaned forward — that isn't a coincidence. That's her.
Don't argue with it. Come.
The One Practice That Changes Everything (And Why You Keep Skipping It)
2026/04/28
Send us Fan Mail
You don't need a new goal. You don't need a better plan. You need to be able to actually see your life — and right now, you can't. Not from inside it.
In this episode, Rayne introduces the foundational practice that sits underneath every other piece of work she does: Separation. Not stepping away from your life. Not running from it. But learning to become the witness to your own experience — so you can finally see what's been running on autopilot, and choose something different.
This is Step 1 of the Evolve Method, and it's not where most people start. It's where all real change actually begins.
In this episode:
Why you genuinely cannot see your patterns when you're inside them (the fish analogy that will stop you in your tracks)Three signs you've lost separation — and why most high-achieving women haveThe identity trap: when the role you play becomes who you think you areThe three-part separation practice you can start todayWhy "that's interesting" might be the most powerful thing you say to yourself this weekIf you've been working hard, doing the inner work, and still feel like something isn't shifting — this is the episode. The gap isn't a motivation problem. It's a visibility problem.
She Evolves — Rayne's one-day live workshop — is coming to Perth on 22 May. Tickets are limited. Link in show notes or at @raynebryantofficial
The Lie You Keep Telling Yourself About Starting Again After 40
2026/04/14
Send us Fan Mail
You've done the work. You've rebuilt. You've closed the chapter. So why does it still feel like you're not fully moving?
In Episode 40, Rayne gets brutally honest about the lie most women in their 40s are living — the one that sounds like strength, looks like resilience, and is quietly keeping you stuck.
It's not that you haven't healed enough. It's not that you need more time. It's that the story you're telling yourself about where you are, what you lost, and what you have to wait for before you can really begin — that story is costing you everything.
This episode covers:
Why "starting over" is the wrong language entirely — and what changes when you shift itThe invisible thing keeping you small that has nothing to do with willpower or readinessWhy your worth was never actually in your marriage — and what happens when you finally believe thatThe identity shift that has to happen before the evidence arrivesThe one move you keep not making — and why it's almost certainly your next levelThis is not a peptides and power anthems episode. This is the raw, honest conversation about what life after 40 actually requires — and why you don't need to be finished to begin.
The lie is that you have to have it together first. You don't.
