Horseman Frank Taylor and Christian Countzler paired homeless men in addiction with thoroughbreds, giving them a place to live and real work in the barn. Snyder wrote it after seeing the program work, including a claimed 90-day sobriety rate far above the national average for live-in rehab. He walks through how the idea started, why he put the men’s stories on the page, and what he hopes the book does for recovery programs and the horse industry.
