This week's episode of Buffy (Arik's favorite of the season so far) sees the welcome return of some fan favorite characters, as we ponder Giles's laundry situation, and struggle to wrap our heads around the baffling nature of of the Sunnydale Hospital. We break it all down on this week's Major Slayage. Professor Walsh may be gone, but like Maya Angelou said, "people will forget what you said and what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel." And for her special boys Riley and Adam, that feeling is... pretty crappy. Xander's military past seems like it should come in handy, Spike is on the outs with the demon community at large, and Giles explores the joys of deflatable furniture. But remember: the REAL Iowa is the friends er made along the way. We break it all down on this week's Major Slayage. Mommy issues abound in this turning point episode in Buffy's fourth season. Buffy agrees to a co-working situation with the Initiative before "quiet quitting"... we meet Professor Walsh's youngest, who's still a work-in-progress... and Spike sends mixed signals about wanting to be left the hell alone. All that, plus, find out what totally normal mundane activity Arik has always done that sends Ket into an inexplicable tizzy. We break it all down on this week's Major Slayage. The SoCal heatwave must have gotten to us because we were both a little cuckoo on this one. Riley needs better friends, Percy needs to upgrade his girlfriend game, and Spike seems to have pulled a "Duck Season/Rabbit Season" on the Scoobies where staking him is concerned. Also, there's something about the end of the world, blah, blah, blah. What else is new, Hellmouth? We're halfway through this Buffy chapter, and in some way, we're still waiting for Season Four to take flight. But we had fun with this episode, and we hope you do, too. We're gonna break it all down on this week's Major Slayage. Huge thanks to our special guests Skip & Peggy Porter (a.k.a Ket's Parents) for the amazing intro to this episode. We have the distinct pleasure of reviewing an episode we've covered in the past (see the links to our appearance on All Bronze, No Brains! below) But with the passage of time - and seeing it in the context of Buffy Season 4 - we definitely have some fresh thoughts to share. This week we tackle the big questions: Where would Ketryn magically make items Arik can't find appear? Why is Arik biased against demons? Vampires have to have bad breath, right? Oh, and we also talk about the Buffy episode a little, as well.We break it all down on this week's Major Slayage. Buffy the Vampire Slayer S4E8 "Pangs" Reaction, Recap & Review! Buffy and the gang are asked to pay for the sings of their forefathers while simultaneously catching up on lessons they should have studied in 4th grade social studies. But, hey, least we can all agree on one thing -- pangs of guilt take a backseat when there's death to be dealt! Check it all out on this week's Major Slayage. This week's episode of BTVS has a lot of charm, which mostly masks its flaws. We learn the answers to some burning questions, namely: Who are the mysterious soldier boys creeping around campus? We are joined once again (as we are for episode 6 of every season) by the hilarious Kim Burns, Ket's co-host from KIM & KET STAY ALIVE... MAYBE! This week is an emotional roller coaster -- Kim is mad that we made her watch a sad episode instead of a silly romp like before, both Kim & Ket have VERY strong feelings about a certain little housebroken homewrecker... and the phrase "dumb dog bone bitch" gets said no less than 800 million times! Due to personal obligations affecting our production schedule, this episode was originally released in two parts. Here, we've combined both parts into one complete episode for your convenience and listening pleasure. Having barely recovered from the trauma of rooming with Kathy, Buffy (and Ketryn) face a new scourge this week... Parker! But on the plus side, we get an absolutely adorable Harmony making a return to Sunnydale with an infamous new boyfriend, and an intimate house concert from Canadian pop punk songstress Bif Naked!
