UCF welcomes the 2nd ranked BYU Cougs to the BounceHouse Saturday (E116)
2026/10/23
It has been a crazy season, so I bring Scott in to go over many topics from college football. We start with the surprise teams in the nation. Is it really possible to but a team together in year one to compete in the P4 conferences. For the BIG 12, can our conference secure 2 CFP spots this season, or even more? Then, we look at the QB rankings at the halfway point and offer up our Top 5. After this week, the QBs we will face are ranked 11th and lower, so does this mean we could make a run at 7 to 8 wins this season? Of course, we will talk matchups of the week in the nation and BIG 12 before giving you our predictions for the BYU/UCF game. Will there be an upset? We share our thoughts and a lot more on this episode.
UCF Volleyball and Soccer have great weekends while football was on the BYE (E115)
2026/10/20
Volleyball final gets some wins in conference and had two victories over the weekend. Still a long way to go, but glad to see them start to put some things together. Men's and Women's soccer also both get victories. Another big week for all the teams as football gets ready to host #2 BYU for Homecoming on Saturday. With the chaos around college football in week 7, we talk upsets and the new top 25. I give you my take on it all before wrapping up with how my own team did during our county tournament. Look forward to a great week of UCF Sports!
UCF on the BYE this week so let's check in on some things (E114)
2026/10/17
With the unexpected injuries, have the Knights given us hope that when they return, we can make a run at a bowl game. With 4 of 6 at home, can the fans help make the atmosphere a tough place to play. Also, we check in on the BIG 12 standings and give you my take on a few of the surprise teams this season. Scott out on vacation so I give you my picks from the Top 25 and Big 12 for Saturday. Let's see if I can be better than 50% this week.
UCF suffers another 4th quarter collapse in Stillwater to the Cowboys (E113)
2026/10/13
Different weekend, same result. The Knights have a costly turnover, and the offense cannot match the firepower of the Cowboys' offense. While losing sucks, it is how we are losing that raises concern. Although there were some positives we saw, it is not enough to win or even challenge teams at the end of the game. As we enter the BYE week, we need to get guys healthy and figure out things in all 3 phases of the game. Women's soccer was the only bright spot winning both matches over the weekend. The Men fell to Coastal Carolina on Friday, while Volleyball loses two more at home and are winless in conference play. All teams need to pick it up if they have aspirations of post season play. I also run down our picks from the weekend in another crazy week of college football. Last thing, make it make sense. Another week, and more questions among who is in the Top 25.
UCF gets another opportunity to take down a Top 25 team in Stillwater (E112)
2026/10/09
Is Oklahoma State really worthy of a Top 25 ranking? I found some interesting stats about the Cowboys that might just play into our favor. We will have to overcome a lot of injuries and the crowd, but if not now, when. I share my thoughts on some teams in the Top 25 before bringing in Scott for some Week 6 picks. We break down games from the Top 25, the Big 12, and most importantly, the UCF vs. Oklahoma State game this weekend. Am I crazy enough to go with the Knights...you will have to listen and find out.
UCF sends fans from hopeful to distraught in 2nd half collapse in Houston (E111)
2026/10/05
All is not lost from this weekend as the other Futbol at UCF had a great weekend. Great job by the Men's Soccer team with a 4-0 defeat of Marshall Saturday in a rematch of the Conference Title Game last season. And the Women's Soccer team beat #17 ranked Colorado 2-0 on Friday. Unfortunately, all the other sports did not fair the same as Women's Volleyball drops both on their Texas road trip. Losing both matches 3-1 to a ranked Baylor and TCU team leaves them winless in conference as they head home for two next weekend. The ladies need to turn it around fast if they have hopes to make post season play. Week 5 of college football had it all. The expected, the surprises, and some controversy as teams all around the nation and in the BIG 12 prove that nothing is guaranteed, and that is why we play the games. If September taught us anything, it is that we still do not know who the best teams really are at this time. The polls change faster than the weather and October will have a major say in who the contenders and the pretenders are. Along with some of the stats from the Houston game, I give you some of my thoughts on what went wrong and what must be fixed in order for us to not lose too much ground in October. Big test in Stillwater next week that at the beginning of the season I believed we were the better team. Now, I am left wondering if we will be able to overcome the injuries, the mistakes, and the offense and get a much-needed win to show we can compete in this conference.
UCF heads to Houston in first BIG 12 Road Test (E110)
2026/10/02
From the press conferences to the preview of Houston, and a look back at last year, are the Knights ready for the first BIG 12 road test on Saturday? I give you my reactions and thoughts on the upcoming game against the Cougars, and we also revisit last years' Space Game loss in the Bounce House. We look at how we finished the month of September and give our predictions for the October slate of games. It is going to be a hard year to have success in October unless we start clicking on offense and the defense continues their dominance. Scott Lubell joins the conversation, and we pick our teams for the week. I have gone rogue on some of my picks, because going chalk has not been beneficial so far. What needs to happen for the Knights to get out of Houston with a win.
UCF Defense dominates TCU while "Lights" breaks a KZ record (E109)
2026/09/29
Big home conference win against TCU in the Bounce House Saturday. We break down the game and talk about a UCF record that was broken. I share my thoughts on the game and how I am feeling heading into a 2-game road trip. I get us updated on other sports around Knight Nation, as volleyball and both Men's and Women's soccer have a rough week on the court and pitch. It doesn't get any easier for any of our Knights' teams as they all face tough competition this week. Did we do better on our picks last weekend. I share how Scott Lubell got the better of me this time, but we still missed on a lot of the games. And can someone please, make it make sense. How are they calculating the rankings of the Top 25. I give you my take and what changes I would make and why. Share your thoughts by commenting or reaching out on my social networks. Always love to hear different viewpoints.
UCF looks to "Bounce" TCU back to Texas with an "L" (E108)
2026/09/25
Big week for not only our UCF Knights, but many great matchups across the country and in the conference. I give you some insight on what I saw from the game film from Georgia State, my reaction to some of the points brought up at this week's press conferences, and my overall impressions of TCU. Then, Scott and I talk about the Top 25 ranking before making our selections for Week 4. We have 6 Top 25 battles and some key matchups in the BIG 12. See where we agree, disagree, and give us your thoughts on this week's games.
UCF beats Georgia State, but it was not a "Lights" out performance (E107)
2026/09/20
We catch up with volleyball and both soccer teams before jumping into another crazy week of college football. Week 3 was full of surprises, and I go through some of the ones that caught my attention. Around the BIG 12, we look at not only the games, but with a QB change for our Knights, I was curious how the other QBs fared this week. I go through some of the key matchups and who is performing better than others. Last, we break down the Knights came versus Georgia State. A win is win, but what do we need to see heading into conference play.
The Knights look to turn the "Lights" out on Georgia State Saturday in the Bounce House (E106)
2026/09/18
We start on my soap box and give you my thoughts on Coach Frost's presser, as well as some of the media and fans reaction to Saturday's loss at Pitt. With the season still ahead of us, I give insight to what I saw in rewatching the game from Saturday. I still have optimism, but many do not share my positive take on the season. While I may sound off a little bit, just know it comes from years of being around the sport and my hope in performing better this season. Scott Lubell joins we to talk about AB III injury, our terrible week of picks, and what the outcomes will be with the matchups from the Top 25 and BIG 12. A big challenge ahead this weekend and looking forward to seeing improvements in the Knights' offense.
UCF Offense was washed out at Pitt, but is it time to panic? (E105)
2026/09/13
Our offense could not get going in the rain on Saturday night. The defense held Pitt to just 10 points, all in the first half, but Barnett only led the Knights to 7 points late in the 4th quarter. Alonza goes out on the next to last offensive play as Jenkins cannot convert on 4th and Pitt runs out the clock. Is it time to panic or is this loss just a teaching point in the process of learning about this team. Time will tell, but there was some good around Knight Nation. Volleyball secured 2 victories at home and both Men's and Women's soccer bounce back from poor showings. I talk about all the sports at UCF before going into how I did on my predictions for Week 2. It was a rough week, but we learned even more about the BIG 12 Conference. A few surprises around the nation but it is all what we come to expect in college football. Hence why I love this game.
Can the Knights secure a road victory over Pitt this Saturday? (E104)
2026/09/11
We look back at the first week opponents of our Knights and Pitt to see what we learned. After watching both teams play, I give you my thoughts on the match up. Pitt leads the series, and the Knights need to prove they can win on the road. I tell you 5 keys to the game, and hint to what my pick will be. There are a few other top games outside the BIG 12, and I give you my thoughts. Half our league is playing lesser competition, while the other half will be battling other Power 4 conferences. Should know a lot more about some of the teams after this weekend. Also, Scott joins me to discuss 5 games, and we end with our predictions. Without even discussing it first, we were both very close in how we think this weekend will turn out.
UCF runs to a Week 1 victory over Bethune Cookman (E103)
2026/09/07
Alonza gives way to 3 back up QBs in the second half as the Knights roll 73-6 over Bethune Cookman. The Knights' rushing attack leads the way in both halves as only 4 pass attempts were made after halftime. I break down the stats and then we talk about other sports around Knight Nation. The BIG 12 had a few surprises in Week 1 and we highlight the good and the bad performances. Overall, there were some shocking results around the nation, but that is why I love this game. One more game on Monday and then we move to week 2 predictions later in the week. Welcome back college football, we have missed you.
UCF Update with Coach Paul Lounsberry (E102)
2026/09/01
Are the Knights ready for Thursday night? Our guest today has spent spring and fall camp with the team and gives his perspective on what he has seen. Of course, being an offensive line coach, we talked about that position group, what it takes for being successful, and how excited he is about this year's Knights team. Also, he gives us some background on Coach Mike Kruczek, who he has known and coached with for many years. Coach Kruczek is a UCF Hall of Fame inductee for 2026 and is a well-deserved honor. I run through some of the top games and the BIG 12 matchups for the weekend as we get ready to begin the season. We are almost there Knight Nation.
