Description
For the Archive: with Jay Snowdon For the Archive is a safe, fun space to nerd out about the things we love—and document the things that make us who we are. Every week, Jay Snowdon dives into whatever has taken over his brain. Expect reactions, rankings, deep dives, reviews, nostalgia, personal stories, pop culture rabbit holes and very strong opinions about things that probably aren’t that serious. And yes, dog grooming is still part of the archive. It’s a huge part of Jay’s life, so from time to time he’ll return to the grooming world for conversations, stories and interviews with the people who have shaped the industry and his career. There’s no niche here. That’s kind of the point. It’s a growing collection of obsessions, memories, people and moments worth putting on the record. Some things deserve to be remembered. Some absolutely don’t. We’re archiving them anyway. For the Archive.

Phoebe Halliwell: How Charmed Gave Her Everything and Still Wasted Her
2026/09/28
How did the sister who could see the future end up with so little direction?
In this episode of For the Archive with Jay Snowdon, I’m diving into all eight seasons of Phoebe Halliwell—and why, despite some of Charmed’s biggest storylines, she ultimately became the least interesting sister to me.
From the unaired pilot and Alyssa Milano’s arrival to Phoebe’s early love of witchcraft, her relationship with Cole Turner, and her reign as Queen of the Underworld, we’re revisiting everything that made her compelling—and where the show lost its way.
We’re talking missed potential with premonitions, levitation and empathy; her changing relationship with her sisters after Prue’s death; and whether the endless search for love overshadowed the woman we originally fell for.
I loved early Phoebe. Phoebe and Cole are my favorite romance in the series. That’s exactly why I have so much to say.
Is Phoebe your favorite Halliwell, your most frustrating, or both?
Full-series spoilers for the original Charmed.

Paige Matthews Deserved Better | Charmed Character Archive
2026/09/17
She restored the Power of Three—but did Charmed ever give Paige Matthews the story she deserved?
In this Character Archive, I’m diving into my favorite Charmed sister: her arrival after Prue’s death, her adoption and family history, her witch-whitelighter powers, and her struggle to build an identity beyond being the replacement sister.
We’ll unpack her instincts about Cole, her relationships with Glen, Richard, Kyle, and Henry, and the shift from social worker to magical guide. Plus, I explain my “Old Testament vs. New Testament” take on Charmed’s two eras—and the character arc I wish the writers had given Paige.
Part love letter, part loving interrogation of the writing. Let’s talk about what made Paige special, what worked, and what could have been.

Spoilers for all eight seasons of the original Charmed.
Prue Halliwell: The Charmed One We Lost Too Soon | Character Archive
2026/09/01
The Character Archive is officially open — and our first entry is Prudence “Prue” Halliwell. 🔮
I’m rewatching Charmed as an adult, and somehow I’ve come out of it loving Prue Halliwell even more than I did growing up.
In this deep dive, we’re going through Prue’s complete three-season journey: from the tightly wound Buckland’s version of Prue in Season 1 to the long-haired, hand-flinging, photographer DIVA she becomes in Seasons 2 and 3.
We’re getting into her relationship with Piper and Phoebe, the tragedy of Prue and Andy, her telekinesis and astral projection, leaving Buckland’s, her best episodes, her increasingly ridiculous power level, and the noticeable changes in Prue during Season 3.
And then, of course, we have to talk about All Hell Breaks Loose.
Shannen Doherty’s departure. That cliffhanger. Prue’s bizarre off-screen death. The way losing Prue completely reorganized the Halliwell family. And one of the biggest unanswered questions in Charmed history:
What would Prue Halliwell have become if she survived?
Plus, I have thoughts about the Season 2 transformation. The hair got longer. The clothes got hotter. The squinting stopped. The hand started flinging. Prue Halliwell had ARRIVED.
🔮 CHARACTER ARCHIVE #1: PRUE HALLIWELL
After you listen, tell me: Where does Prue rank among the four Charmed Ones? And what Prue episode belongs in the time capsule?
Next stop in the archive: Piper, Phoebe, Paige… or should we cause chaos and jump to Cole?
