S2E9 - Pietro Uliana aka Chitarra Disagio - Sunday Musicians Café
2025/09/26

Sunday Musicians Café ☕️ 🎙️ AI in classical music? Yes. With Daniel we talked about many things including the lost tradition of nuances, violin playing, AI tools and positive approach to it, Oleg Pokhanovski, and how and why to practice with no rosin. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 ✨

🌎 𝑭𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊 𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒖𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒊 ✨

Bach would dance on that 🥁🪘 Just broke my museum paradox with the great Joachim Horsley, the great composer and arranger of Beethoven in Havana 🎶🎹🇨🇺 I really enjoyed the chat we had and so glad he shared with us his wonderful journey through the classical to the powerful experience of fusion that with Cuban and African rhythms. ☀️ It’s worth watching! 👀 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 ✨

Watch back this unusual episode (Live in person - so fun actually 🤩) to discover her view and experience in music making. 𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 ✨

Never missed once 🐍 Today I had the great honour and privilege to talk to the genius behind one of the most followed pages by musicians, The Wise Musician, Nick Akdag. 🚀 An example of great consistency and entrepreneurial mindset in approaching his musical career, a professor of the highest calibre and an internationally recognised perfomer. A great jump into the opera world 🎭 Hassen is a much-loved singer in Tunisia and famous for many of his works and traditional songs. 🇹🇳 For the past few years he has been devoting himself to opera, and today he told us how much dedication and admiration he has for this world. A huge courage and ambition accompanied by the great talent and success he is enjoying in Europe. 🚀 I had the pleasure of working with him last December with La Boheme and I hope to work with him again to bring the art of classical and opera to Tunisia. S2E1 - Nora Germain - Sunday Musicians Café

Go for it! ✨ What an incredible restart, a true rebirth. 🕊️ That's what Nora symbolised for me, and for this podcast today! Her beautiful story and her experience. The best guest I could have had for the first episode of this new season. 🎙️☕️🥹 In this episode we talked about jazz violin but more importantly how believing in yourself and your talent can be vitally important and completely change the course of events. 🚀 Nora even played during the episode! What a gift! 🎻🎶 ‘𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖’ - that’s what Nora would say to her younger self ❤️‍🩹 www.noragermain.com

𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕄𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕔𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕤 ℂ𝕒𝕗é ☕️ Career is a beautiful surprise ✨ Today I had the pleasure of having a word with the fantastic Benjamin Baker! 🎻 He told us how important it is at the beginning of your career as a musician to feel free to make that choice in life, and then as time goes by to not to worry too much when it comes to accepting rejections. It's all part of a journey, which could become a beautiful surprise if you stay open. 🤩 Benjamin is the Artistic director of a very successful festival @worldsedgefestival ! Have a look 🎶

We reflected on the beauty of going deep inside our emotions and mental state through music. How some pieces shape you as a person. We laughed and joked as two friends can do! ☀️ Thank you Zoe for being an SMC supporter 🎙️☕️
S1E40 - Lea Brückner - Sunday Musicians Café
2025/07/16
𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕄𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕔𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕤 ℂ𝕒𝕗é ☕️ 🌱Sustainable musician 🌍🎶 I cannot describe how happy I am about today's chat! ☀️ A subject that very few musicians, especially in the classical world, talk about. There are many things that we can do individually, but that can also help in building a career. With Lea, (@lea.violin ) we tried to dismantle some sustainability biases and talked about what to do in the music industry. 🌱 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 ✨

A true example for me and for all violinists. ✨🎻 Like the great artists Daniel has the ability to see things in a sincere and precise way, and always with sense of humour.
