Matt and Rachel introduce our new Explorers Podcast, aimed at helping families learn to hear from God together. Inspired by her own experiences as a parent, Rachel created this resource to engage both children and adults in exploring God's word. Each episode includes moments of stillness, scripture-based stories, and imaginative activities to facilitate conversations between parents and children about hearing God. Rachel and Matt kick off the first episode of the Explorers podcast, discussing their favorite person, Jesus. They explain the significance of Jesus being called Emmanuel, meaning 'God with us,' and use a candle as a metaphor for Jesus being the light of the world. They also emphasize the importance of learning to listen to God and share practical steps for kids to feel close to Jesus. In today's episode Rachel and Matt talk about how Jesus healed many people back in the day and how He still heals our bodies and hearts today. We’ll read a story from the Bible about Jesus healing people and discuss how we can listen to God.

Matt and Rachel discuss feeling worried and explore how Jesus' teachings can bring comfort. They read a passage from the book of Matthew, showing that God cares for even the birds and lilies, so we don't need to worry. Through a balloon exercise, they demonstrate that our worries, big or small, are light to God because He is strong.

In this episode, Matt and Rachel talk about Jesus' adventure on a boat with his disciples, when a scary storm hit and Jesus showed his amazing power. They play a fun boat-sinking game and discuss why we should trust Jesus even when things are tough.

In the final episode of the Explorers series, Matt and Rachel discuss the importance of having the right tools for a journey, both physically and spiritually. They dive into Matthew Chapter 10, where Jesus gives his disciples special instructions for their mission.
