It's time for a very special Adaptation Decay! This August, Gary, Liv, and Kaye packed up and headed to Las Vegas to visit the Resident Evil Interactive Experience, a limited time takeover of Universal Horror Unleashed. Listen to us talk about the scares, the set design, the puzzles, and the food created to honor Resident Evil's 30 year anniversary. This episode is extra special because we made a video for it, as you can see above! This is a labor of love, because we wanted to capture the experience and relate it to you as we talk about how successful it is. We also discuss the other Universal Horror Unleashed haunted houses, and go in-depth on Meow Wolf's Omega Mart installation. This is a video-first episode! Check out this post to see footage from the event. Next month we'll be talking about the Zach Cregger Resident Evil movie!

Let's remember a time when YouTube didn't have a ton of people talking about s****y video games. Simpler times, times when a creator like AVGN was rare. This project was his lifetime dream, and it became a nightmare. James Rolfe is clearly not having any fun, and all we left is this artifact of broken dreams. Next month: WCG Ultimate Gamer

If any video game had enough room for a television adaptation, then it's definitely Fallout. Not directly adapting any of the stories from the game, the Fallout TV series takes many of the iconic ideas and character archetypes and creates it's own vision of the Wasteland. What we get is a love letter to one of the greatest video game series ever made. Next month: The first two episodes of Mutant League.

Hellraiser Hellworld is a bad Hellraiser movie, but is it really a BAD movie? Well, yes, but it's still very funny. It's not the worst thing in the world. As an adaptation of the video game medium, it's real stupid. Next Month on Adaptation Decay: Fallout (Season 1)

This one's a treat for all the Aussies out there! A*Mazing was Australia's most beloved kids' game show in the 90s, featuring a tiny bit of competitive video game play between very easy trivia and searches for hidden objects in an obstacle course. And the entire thing was presided over by one of the most critical childrens' show hosts we've seen in our time doing this show. We cover two episodes of the show: this one from 1994 and this one from 1995.

A perfect encapsulation of 80's movie jank. It's dumb, it's sexist, but boy are the boss fights cool. And it inspired SmashTV! What more could you ask for? Join Ahnold as he battles the gauntlet and attempts escape from a sadistic TV show with life-or-death stakes.

Join your favorite Angry Birds characters: Red! Bomb! Poopy flame bird! As they rescue their eggs from immigrants. It's bad!

Can you feel life moving through your mind? Looks like it came back for more. Can you feel time slipping down your spine? You try and try to ignore. Gary's note: We need to know you can hang before you listen to this. Can you hang? Are you going to be cool?

The film that nobody asked for, and yet all we have left are questions. One thing the film certainly doesn't leave misunderstood: that sand?

Behold, a UK Television Magazine featuring contest, commentary, and a man with a large head.

If you've never wondered what Pac-Man got up to in high school, then all I can say is what is wrong with you? There's romance, ghosts, and a confusing set of rules for what the power pellets do. And a theme song that barely sounds like real music! PRODUCER'S NOTE: This is a reupload, as there was an error in the original upload. Sorry for the double-take!

After the harrowing experience that was covering Wing Commander last month, we needed a palate cleanser. So enter a new kind of episode: a survey of video game-related episodes of popular cartoons! We assure you this isn’t just an excuse to talk about things we already like. First we discuss three episodes of Adventure Time: “Guardians of Sunshine”, “Card Wars”, and “Dungeon Train.” Then we talk about one of the best Simpsons episodes of all time, “Marge Be Not Proud.” Finally, we hit up the live action cartoon that is It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and its episode “Charlie Rules the World”. Let us know if you like this experiment. We’ll be back with something more standard next month.

This whole thing SMACKS of gender.

They're not funny, they're not pretty, they're names sound like things that grows on your grandmother. Oh and Battletoads are there too.

This Tron fast follow... looks horrible. Also, the Amazon Prime version is only .8x speed? Why?
