🚨 NEW KILLER KONTENT EPISODE 🚨 This week on Killer Kontent, we discuss the horrific alleged attack on independent MP Helen Haines, who was struck by a vehicle outside her Wangaratta electorate office and suffered life-changing injuries. We return to the heartbreaking case of eight-year-old Elizabeth Struhs. A nine-day coronial hearing has examined what government agencies knew before Elizabeth died after being deprived of the insulin she needed to survive — and whether opportunities to protect her were missed. In Massachusetts, we dive into the Matthew Farwell murder trial. The former police officer is accused of murdering 23-year-old Sandra Birchmore, who was pregnant when she died in 2021, and staging her death as a suicide.  And then there is the $42 MILLION SPRAY-PAINT DEAL that sounds more like the plot of a crime drama. A NSW Supreme Court dispute over the sale of MMP Industrial has exposed allegations involving questionable financials, hundreds of safety notices, factory fires and even an alleged plot to kill the owner of a rival business.  Plus, we have updates on some of the cases we’ve been following. Sam Wood who makes another bid for freedom.  There’s a major development for Donna Nelson, the Australian grandmother convicted of drug smuggling after saying she was duped in a romance scam. And Week Five of the Beau Lamarre-Condon trial delivered some extraordinary evidence. 🎬 WHAT TO WATCH First up, Dustfall on ABC TV and iview. Anna Torv stars as Detective Antigone “Tig” Pollard, investigating a sexual assault case that begins to lead disturbingly close to home. It’s getting plenty of attention — but is it actually as good as the hype? We give our verdict. Then things get seriously strange with HBO’s The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story — a true-crime documentary involving murder, New Orleans, a pet cemetery and witnesses who believe a ghost may have helped solve the crime. Yes, really. 🎧 And finally, we listened to The Journey, the five-part investigation from The New Yorker’s In the Dark. It begins with a surrogate who thinks she is carrying a baby for a wealthy couple desperate to give their child a sibling. Then she discovers they already have more than 20 children, most under three, born through surrogates.  Another packed episode of Killer Kontent 🎧 Listen now wherever you get your podcasts.

🚨 NEW KILLER KONTENT EPISODE 🚨 This week on Killer Kontent, we’ve got domestic violence allegations, one of the biggest gold heists in history, AI bringing murder victims “back to life” in the courtroom — and updates on some of the biggest cases we’ve been following. We start with former Bachelor star Sam Wood, the domestic violence charges against him and what happened at his bail hearing.! Then, how do you steal millions of dollars worth of gold from an airport? We dive into the extraordinary Canadian gold heist and the investigation into where all that gold went. We also look at the controversial new frontier of AI in the courtroom. Families are now able to recreate deceased loved ones using artificial intelligence — allowing victims to seemingly speak from beyond the grave. But should an AI version of a murder victim ever be allowed to influence a judge deciding someone’s sentence? Plus, it’s a HUGE week for updates. We check back in on Christa Pike following her horrifying failed execution, the latest evidence in the Beau Lamarre-Condon double-murder trial, Greg Lynn, Maree Crabtree, and the verdict in the Mexican murder trial of Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson and American Jack Carter Rhoad. 🎬 CRIME POP CULTURE We review Netflix’s new true-crime documentary The Widower: ’Til Death Do Us Part, about an investigation into a man whose trail of failed marriages was accompanied by suspicious deaths.
