Real Housewives of New York City, Season 16 Episode 7 Recap
2026/10/22
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of New York City Season 16, Episode 6, where Hailey reminds everyone Gucci isn't expensive, Erica tries to recreate an iconic Jennifer Lopez fashion moment, and Sai continues to divide opinion. First, let's talk about money. Hailey has three boats, a watch worth more than her Audi, and no idea why anyone considers Gucci expensive. Kyla is fascinated by this New York cast's wealth, but Dom wonders when extravagant spending stops being entertaining and starts becoming tone-deaf. And seriously, how does Hailey make her money? Because nobody is buying that she manifested those boats with sunsets. Meanwhile, Erica rents Jennifer Lopez's iconic green Versace dress, and Dom is personally offended. The dress is fashion history! Unfortunately, between getting caught in a cactus and nearly setting herself on fire while showing off her shoes, Erica's big fashion moment doesn't quite deliver. Then, the conversation gets serious. Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh react very differently to Sai's confrontation with Carole. Kyla respects Sai's willingness to stand behind her questions, while Dom believes Sai's accusations were unfair, especially considering her own past experiences. And speaking of hypocrisy, did Sai make Erin's gossip about Jessel's husband even worse by repeating it on national television? Dom thinks so.With the midseason trailer promising a trip to Martha's Vineyard and more drama surrounding Jessel's marriage, both hosts agree on one thing: New York has finally found its footing. Real Housewives of Potomac, Season 11 Episode 2 Recap
2026/10/20
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 11, Episode 2, where Karen Huger celebrates her freedom with a questionable Color Purple tribute, Tia’s marriage raises some uncomfortable questions, and Wendy’s legal troubles create tension with the Grand Dame.First, would you eat at a medical spa? Kyla questions Karen’s bizarre celebration, from laser hair removal to foot massages to an homage to Sofia from The Color Purple nobody asked for. Dom, however, reminds Kyla that this is classic Karen Huger: an unnecessarily elaborate event with a theme that makes absolutely no sense. Welcome back, Grand Dame!Meanwhile, Tia’s husband downloaded dating apps because he felt lonely in their marriage. Twice! Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh have plenty to say about infidelity, emotional betrayal, and whether deleting an app can actually repair broken trust. More importantly, why should Tia be responsible for keeping her husband from getting bored enough to download Hinge, OK Cupid, Tinder, and every other app?Speaking of messy relationships, Gizelle apologizes to Tia for involving Ashley in the dating app discovery. Dom defends Gizelle’s decision to seek advice before delivering devastating news, but both question Tia for repeating a distorted version of their conversation to Wendy. Is Tia already mastering the art of being a Housewife? Finally, Karen and Wendy’s confrontation raises questions about accountability, public perception, and whether their legal situations are remotely comparable. With Wendy’s legal troubles hanging over the season, Dom and Kyla wonder how much the audience should believe before the courts have their say.Honorable Mention: Dom is thoroughly distracted by Gizelle’s friend Kal, while Kyla apparently missed what was happening below his waist. This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Season 7 Episode 5 Recap
2026/10/18
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 7, Episode 5, where Bronwyn hosts a fabulous 1970s-themed reunion party, Whitney questions her marriage, and Meredith and Lisa deliver a musical performance so embarrassing that Kyla physically sat up in bed.First, can we talk about Brandon? Kyla has always found Bronwyn’s boyfriend conventionally attractive, but this episode revealed something even better: intimacy! Between the lingering eye contact, affectionate touches, and his attempts to comfort Bronwyn, Brandon might be the most emotionally available person on this cast. Unfortunately, his introduction to the Housewives included witnessing two grown women perform a rehearsed diss track at his girlfriend’s party. Overanalyze: When Does Housewife Drama Become Bullying? Dom and Kyla are genuinely horrified by Meredith and Lisa’s performance. The lyrics were terrible, Meredith had absolutely no rhythm, and somehow they thought an encore was necessary! But the real problem wasn’t the music. It was the cruelty.Bronwyn invited the women into a celebration with friends from different chapters of her life, only to watch two guests publicly humiliate her. Kyla noticed Bronwyn’s expression shift from amusement to genuine hurt, while Dom questioned why Lisa and Meredith seemed determined to isolate themselves from the rest of the cast.Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh want to know: Is Meredith dragging Lisa down? Can Salt Lake City survive another season of divided friendships? Honorable Mention: Whitney’s Search for IndependenceAway from the disco disaster, Whitney shares her uncertainty about separating from Justin. Dom explores how her Mormon upbringing still shapes her understanding of marriage, while Kyla is fascinated as Whitney describes Justin as someone who helped raise her. After marrying at 25, what does independence look like for Whitney at 40? With Heather offering thoughtful advice and Bronwyn’s separation providing a glimpse of what might come next, Whitney is discovering that leaving a marriage involves more than changing where you sleep. And somehow, that was only the second-most uncomfortable situation in San Francisco! This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of Orange County, Season 20 Episode 15 Recap
2026/10/17
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 20, Episode 15, where the ladies explore Tokyo, Tamra reaches her breaking point with Vicki, and Shannon reminds everyone that even the messiest friendships can have moments of genuine love. First, Kyla is fascinated by Japan’s capybara café. Apparently, capybaras are having a major moment in children’s entertainment, but Kyla had no idea these animals were the size of medium dogs! Between the unusually large rodents and the ladies driving go-karts through Tokyo in ridiculous costumes, the Japan trip finally delivers some much-needed entertainment. Overanalyzing Tamra and Vicki’s Friendship Dom has officially run out of patience with Vicki Gunvalson. After watching Vicki repeatedly dismiss Tamra’s pain over her estranged daughter, Dom questions how someone can claim to love a longtime friend while weaponizing one of the most painful experiences of her life. Kyla is equally disturbed by Vicki’s behavior but notices something different during their eventual reconciliation. When Tamra embraces Vicki, Vicki appears visibly uncomfortable receiving affection. Could Vicki’s inability to connect emotionally explain why her friendships remain so complicated? More importantly, Kyla believes Tamra finally recognizes that Vicki cannot offer the accountability or emotional support she needs. When Tamra acknowledges that this may be all Vicki has to give, Kyla sees acceptance rather than forgiveness. Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh aren’t truly convinced. Why maintain a friendship with someone whose behavior consistently violates your boundaries?Could Shannon and Tamra Rebuild Their Friendship? One of the episode’s most emotional moments comes when Shannon comforts a sobbing Tamra. Despite years of conflict, Shannon recognizes her former friend’s pain and offers genuine compassion. Dom hopes viewers reconsider their opinions of Tamra after witnessing her vulnerability. Meanwhile, Kyla believes Shannon’s willingness to comfort Tamra could be the beginning of a renewed friendship. The two also question whether Shannon will eventually establish stronger boundaries with Vicki, especially after confronting her about inviting Alexis onto her podcast. Honorable Mention: Emily Knows Exactly What She’s Doing Kyla appreciates Emily’s strategic questioning of Vicki, particularly how she maneuvers the conversation toward Tamra’s daughter. That law degree is working! And while Dom thinks the Tokyo go-kart adventure is ridiculous filler, Kyla appreciates seeing the Housewives enjoy Japan. After a frustrating season, Orange County finally delivers an episode worth overanalyzing. Between emotional breakthroughs, questionable apologies, and giant capybaras, Dom and Kyla agree: this is the kind of Housewives episode they’ve been waiting for. This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of New York City, Season 16 Episode 6 RECAP
2026/10/16
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of New York Season 16, Episode 6, where Sai confronts everyone, Carole Radziwill discusses her connection to Ghislaine Maxwell, and Jessel somehow makes another episode about her expensive wardrobe. First, Dom is thrilled that the Sai he remembers has returned! After learning that Erin may have shared information about her separation, Sai confronts her in front of the entire group. Kyla describes the confrontation as Sai holding court, with everyone, including the bartender, afraid to move. However, Kyla wonders whether Sai’s emotional reaction has more to do with her divorce than Erin’s alleged betrayal. After all, her husband filed for divorce. Is Erin really responsible for everyone knowing? Meanwhile, Carole reveals that she previously knew Ghislaine Maxwell, leading Sai to question how much Carole knew about Maxwell’s activities. Dom and Kyla agree that Sai’s questions are understandable, but her refusal to listen to Carole’s explanations makes the conversation unnecessarily confrontational. Knowing someone socially does not mean knowing everything about their private life. Overanalyze: When Gossip Becomes a Weapon The biggest revelation comes when Sai tells Jessel that Erin allegedly spread rumors about her husband’s sexuality. Dom is frustrated that Housewives continues to treat allegations about someone’s sexuality as scandalous. Being gay isn’t an insult, and suggesting otherwise unfairly weaponizes an entire community. Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh are more interested in Jessel’s reaction. Instead of looking shocked or heartbroken, Jessel jokes about her husband’s dad bod. Does she already know something, or is she simply refusing to entertain another rumor? And speaking of Jessel, Dom has officially had enough of her obsession with wealth. Between the couture bathing suits and her enthusiastic reaction to Carole’s story about dating Prince Andrew, Dom questions whether Jessel understands how tone-deaf she sounds. Honorable Mention: Confessional Courage Dom has a new complaint: Erika! Despite having plenty to say about Daisy and the other women during her confessionals, Erika remains remarkably quiet during group confrontations. Kyla calls this confessional courage, and Dom wants to know where that energy goes when the cameras capture the actual conversations. Is Erika struggling to find her place among three new Housewives, or does she simply need to bring more personality to the group? Dom and Kyla agree that New York is finally delivering the entertainment they’ve been waiting for. Between the arguments, shifting friendships, and questionable loyalties, this cast is giving everyone plenty to overanalyze. This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of Potomac, Season 11 Episode 1 RECAP
2026/10/15
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10, Episode 1, where Karen Huger returns with a new outlook on life, Wendy Osefo faces serious legal trouble, and the newest Housewife arrives with a seven-foot-tall husband and eyelashes that deserve their own confessional. It’s Kyla’s first trip to Potomac, and she’s immediately impressed. With a beautiful cast, international business connections, and the DMV's political power, there’s plenty to explore. Dom, a longtime Potomac enthusiast, is thrilled to introduce Kyla to the Grand Dame, the Green-Eyed Bandits, and a cast that knows how to keep a storyline moving. First, there’s Wendy. Kyla initially finds her exhausting until she realizes they share an unfortunate habit: aggressively advocating for friends who haven’t requested legal representation. However, Wendy’s actual legal situation is considerably more complicated. Dom breaks down the fraud allegations against Wendy and Eddie, while Kyla explains why separate attorneys make sense. And why is Wendy giving her husband the emotional energy of a woman casually dating around? Meanwhile, Karen returns from prison with sobriety, fabulous hair, and a marriage that may not recognize its newest participant. Her observation that Ray doesn’t like his new wife fascinates Kyla, who appreciates the complexity behind such a simple statement. Then there’s newcomer Courtney, whose towering husband intrigues Kyla almost as much as her dramatic eyelashes. Dom is withholding judgment until he learns more about her beliefs. The eyebrows, however, are already under review by Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh. From Stacey’s commercial-ready confessionals to Ashley’s boyfriend apparently working at the basketball arena, Potomac is delivering. Kyla is officially invested, Dom is delighted, and neither is prepared to stop overanalyzing. This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of Orange County, Season 20 Episode 14 Recap
2026/10/10
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 20, Episode 14, where Jen considers a facelift, Carmella misses the trip to Japan, Alexis confronts Heather, and the ladies somehow manage to make Tokyo feel boring. This week, Dom and Kyla are exhausted, but apparently Orange County is, too! What should have been an exciting international cast trip becomes a conversation about aging, nostalgia, reality television, and whether Housewives has lost its magic.First, Kyla questions the emotional impact of Jen and Emily’s plastic surgery consultation. How do you leave an appointment where someone identifies everything they could change about your face and still feel confident? Dom thinks society’s obsession with looking younger has gone too far, especially when Jen already looks incredible.Meanwhile, Carmella’s diabetes prevents her from traveling to Japan. Dom appreciates her openness about her health but wonders whether medication restrictions and the stress of filming also influenced her decision to stay home. What We’re OveranalyzingAfter 20 seasons, has Orange County lost its magic? Dom reflects on nearly two decades of watching Housewives and wonders whether the increasingly polished production, elaborate wardrobes, and manufactured drama have replaced the authentic relationships that made the franchise entertaining.Kyla suggests changing how Housewives is filmed, prompting Dom to explain how early seasons featured spontaneous confessionals, everyday outfits, and genuine reactions.Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh both agree that returning to those simpler production techniques could save Orange County more than giving the franchise an entirely new cast.Honorable MentionsShannon’s emotional storyline with Archie, Vicki’s uncomfortable Tokyo experience, and the surprising lack of bedroom arguments during the cast trip. Are you still watching Orange County, or are you getting your Housewives updates through recaps? This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Season 7 Episode 4 Recap
2026/10/09
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 7, Episode 4, as Bronwyn Newport embraces her newfound freedom, Angie Katsanevas opens up about her marriage, and both women leave Dom and Kyla wondering what happens when the life you built no longer makes you happy.First, Bronwyn is enjoying her single era, and Kyla is here for it! After watching Todd talk down to Bronwyn last season, Kyla is excited to see her rediscover herself, date a handsome model, and return to the vibrant life she enjoyed before marriage. Dom still loves Bronwyn, but he’s starting to understand why the other Housewives are questioning her stories. Between the divorce paperwork, questions about property ownership, and her increasingly complicated explanations, Dom worries that Bronwyn’s little inconsistencies could eventually damage her credibility. Kyla, meanwhile, is willing to give Bronwyn some grace. She’s still fabulous, entertaining, a gracious hostess, and apparently determined to make that third-season first-chair reunion seat happen! But the conversation takes a more serious turn when Angie opens up to Heather about her nearly 30-year marriage. Angie admits that she and her husband have grown apart, their intimacy has changed, and she’s beginning to question what actually makes her happy. Dom is heartbroken watching one of his favorite Housewives struggle with the possibility that a marriage she invested decades in may no longer fulfill her. Kyla wonders whether Angie’s husband has developed an emotional connection with someone else. Neither knows what’s happening behind closed doors, but both agree that Angie looks genuinely hurt.Overanalyze: Can You Love Someone and Still Choose Yourself?Angie’s vulnerability leads Dom and Kyla into a bigger conversation about marriage, identity, and the expectations people carry into relationships. Dom wonders whether love is enough when two people grow in different directions. Watching a couple question their marriage after nearly three decades makes him wonder whether any relationship can promise forever.Kyla offers another perspective: those 27 years don’t mean Angie has to sacrifice the next 27. Marriage requires choosing your partner every day, but it also requires understanding what you want for yourself. Between raising children, building businesses, and fulfilling family expectations, how often do women get to ask whether they’re actually happy? The two also question what Angie means when she says she and her husband have different ideologies. Are these ordinary disagreements, or have their fundamental values changed? Whatever happens next, Dom and Kyla are proud of Angie for beginning to have these difficult conversations.Honorable Mention: Even the Dogs Are Housewives FansBefore getting into Salt Lake City, Kyla introduces the newest member of her family: Vanilla, her three-month-old puppy! Naturally, Dom reveals that his dog Lucy has an entire collection of middle names inspired by Real Housewives, including Camille Grammer and Jennifer Pedranti. Now Kyla is considering giving Vanilla a Housewives-inspired middle name, too. Vanilla Cohen, anyone?Plus, Dom and Kyla discuss Heather Gay’s willingness to take romantic risks now that her children are adults, Whitney Rose’s divorce news, and the ongoing Whitney-versus-Quai drama. And after viewers corrected their pronunciation of Quai’s name, Dom has a simple solution: her name is Ashley, anyway! This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of New York City, Season 16 Episode 5 Recap
2026/10/08
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of New York Season 16, Episode 5, where Erika invites the ladies to her private island (sort of), Jessel keeps offending everyone around her, and Sai gets devastating news about her marriage. First, Kyla has questions about the editing. Did the ladies ever eat dinner? Did Jessel and Carole finish their emotional conversation? Did Daisy ever get back into her bedroom? The episode moves so quickly that Kyla feels like she’s watching a week’s worth of footage squeezed into 48 minutes. Meanwhile, Dom is fully on Daisy’s side as she questions Erika’s ownership of the island. Erika keeps calling it her island, but apparently seven families own parts of it. Dom doesn’t think Daisy’s questions are shady. If you own a house on an island, just say that! Kyla is equally confused about why a billionaire’s vacation home has shared bedrooms, pullout couches, and no personality at all. The entire property feels more like a luxury hotel than a family home. And speaking of Erica, Dom thinks there’s something calculating beneath her seemingly innocent personality. Kyla isn’t convinced she’s diabolical yet, but she would love to see Erika start a friendship or storyline without the whole group present. The two also debate whether marrying a billionaire makes you a billionaire. Is Erika wealthy? (YES!) Is being wealthy her entire personality? (KINDA) Jessel isn’t helping herself either. Dom is particularly offended when Jessel calls Carole by her late friend’s name, Carolyn, and wonders whether the mistake was intentional. Then Jessel becomes outraged when Daisy suggests she might be wearing a Shein dress. Apparently, criticizing someone’s home is acceptable, but Jessel draws the line at questioning the designer of their clothing. Just say no to fast fashion. Overanalyze: Sai’s husband files for divorce while she’s preparing for the girls’ trip, and she finds out through messages from friends. After last week’s emotional conversation about her marriage, Dom and Kyla are devastated for her. Sai was already unhappy, had discussed separating, and was trying to figure out her next steps. Instead, her husband makes the first official move while he’s away with their children. Dom wonders whether the timing was intentional and gave Sai’s husband a sense of control. Kyla is frustrated that Sai has to process the news alone, especially since she wanted the separation. The conversation expands into the emotional and financial pressures women face when trying to hold their families together, even as their marriages fall apart. Honorable Mention: Erica’s private island apparently belongs to seven families. Dom and Kyla agree that owning one-seventh of an island is still incredibly luxurious, but calling the entire island yours is a stretch. And if you’re a billionaire, why are your guests sleeping on pullout couches? This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com. If you have questions, comments, or think we should have overanalyzed something else, send us an email: [email protected]
Real Housewives of Orange County, Season 20 Episode 13 Recap
2026/10/03
The Real Housewives of Orange County celebrated its history this week, while Vicki kept Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh wondering whether watching yourself on television for 20 years should eventually lead to a little self-reflection. Dom and Kyla are discussing The Real Housewives of Orange County, Season 20, Episode 13. Tamra’s party brought together Housewives from across RHOC history, including Jeana Keough, Tammy Knickerbocker, Quinn Fry, Jo De La Rosa, Lynn Curtin, Alexis Bellino, and more. For Dom, seeing so many former Housewives together was unexpectedly emotional. These women weren’t just reminders of old seasons; they brought back memories of who he was when he originally watched them. For a 20th anniversary season, this was the nostalgia we’ve been waiting for. FINALLY!Unfortunately, nostalgia could not save Vicki. After telling the women about her health concerns, Vicki became upset that Tamra repeated the information. Kyla and Dom struggled with Vicki’s insistence that she wants peace while repeatedly commenting on the other women, then distancing herself from those comments when confronted. As Kyla put it, Vicki has “camera courage”: plenty to say in confessionals, but a very different energy face-to-face.The episode’s most interesting moment came from Heather and Terry. Heather explained that growing up, she was considered the “talented” daughter while her sister was the “smart” one. Terry immediately pushed back on the idea that Heather wasn’t intelligent, leading to a conversation about “marrying your unfinished business.”That idea sent Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh into a true overanalysis: How much of adulthood is shaped by what we considered normal growing up? And when we finally encounter healthier relationships, different perspectives, or new ways of living, do we use them as opportunities to grow?Overanalyze: Do we “marry our unfinished business”? Dom thought this question was really important from the Heather / Terry vulnerable moment.Honorable Mention: Tamra’s RHOC reunion party. After an entire season of waiting for the show to acknowledge its 20-year history, seeing Housewives from multiple eras together finally felt like the celebration the milestone deserved. This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of New York City, Season 16 Episode 4 Recap
2026/10/02
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of New York Season 16, Episode 4, where Martha Stewart casually reminds us that regular people do not attend the World Cup, Sai reveals the heartbreaking reality of her relationship with her mother, and Erin and Hailey continue to figure out whether they actually like each other. First, Kyla is fascinated by Daisy’s career as a celebrity makeup artist. Watching Daisy coordinate her schedule with Martha Stewart and Martha’s publicist raises so many questions about the logistics of being responsible for a celebrity’s face. Does Martha check Daisy’s schedule before accepting an appearance? Does Daisy have backup makeup artists? Either way, Dom and Kyla are invested, and Dom thinks Daisy needs to write a book. And speaking of Martha Stewart, Kyla loves her completely unashamed elitism. When Daisy asks how a regular person attends the World Cup, Martha simply explains: they don’t. No apology. No embarrassment. Just wealth! Between Martha casually appearing on Housewives and Erica mentioning that “Anne” invited her to the Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere (yes, Anne Hathaway), RHONY is delivering the kind of glitz and glamour Kyla expected from Beverly Hills.Meanwhile, the popcorn ceiling conversation refuses to die. Jessel insists that she thought everyone was laughing together, but Kyla remembers Daisy stuffing food into her mouth like she was trying not to cuss someone out. Dom has an even bigger problem with Jessel’s continued comments about the Kennedys and feels she repeatedly misses how personal this history is for Carole. Overanalyze: Sai’s conversation with her aunt completely changes the episode. Sai reveals more about her mother’s alcoholism, the decision to make her leave Sai’s home, and the guilt she carries because her mother died only three months later. Even more heartbreaking is learning that Sai has been carrying much of that grief without emotional support from her husband. Suddenly, her marriage problems feel much bigger than a disappointing birthday dinner. Yes, discovering that your husband charged your birthday dinner to your own credit card is rude, but combined with feeling lonely, grieving your mother, lacking intimacy, and feeling unsupported inside your marriage, that dinner represents something much larger. Dom and Kyla were glued to this scene because Sai’s grief, guilt, marriage, motherhood, and financial pressure all seem connected. It also gives more context to her earlier argument about rent-controlled apartments. When Sai says she would happily live in one, it doesn’t feel like she’s simply arguing about New York real estate. There may be some relief in imagining one less financial responsibility when she already feels like she is carrying so much. Honorable Mention: Erica casually saying that “Anne” invited them to the Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere. Anne WHO? Oh, just Anne Hathaway. Kyla officially declares this an Anne Hathaway fan channel. This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Season 7 Episode 3 Recap
2026/10/01
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 7, Episode 3, where a night out in San Francisco turns into a very messy game of telephone and Whitney gets caught between old and new friendships. While packing for this trip, we saw Angie reveal that her marriage may be struggling. Whitney may have started the information pipeline, but everyone involved made it worse because Angie was never called aggressive, Heather was not called diabolical (but diablo, which is worse), Bronwyn forgot conversations we watched happen, and somehow nobody stopped to ask the most important question: How did Angie know the story in the first place? Overanalyze: Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh feel sad for Whitney because her friendship with Quai isn’t a typical Housewives friendship. Their relationship is tied to Whitney’s late best friend, which makes Quai’s sense of betrayal even more complicated. Whitney absolutely fumbled the information, but when Quai tells Whitney that her brother would be disappointed, both Dom and Kyla were shocked! This argument is about much more than a toothbrush story. The episode also introduces a much heavier storyline with Angie, who reveals that she and Shawn haven’t had affection in their marriage for two years. Dom and Kyla agree (and are frustrated) about how much can be happening inside a marriage while everything appears normal from the outside. This type of acting to protect the storyline or your spouse is rarely reciprocated and needs to stop.  This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of Orange County, Season 20 Episode 12 recap
2026/09/26
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 20, Episode 12, where Vicki turns an entire table against itself, Tamra gives us a surprisingly sweet family moment, and a coconut becomes the unexpected star of the episode. First, Carmella finally says what everyone else seems unwilling to say: Vicki is very good at making herself the victim. After denying that she said Carmella’s boyfriend raises her children, especially when Shannon and Heather confirm that she did AND the flashback footage tells the story. Somehow, the conversation still ends with everyone apologizing to Vicki. Everyone except Carmella. Meanwhile, Tamra’s family gathering gives Dom and Kyla something this season desperately needs: an authentic, happy moment. Seeing Tamra with her children, granddaughter, mother, and Eddie opens a larger conversation about complicated family dynamics, the importance of grandparents, and getting to see a more nurturing side of a Housewife usually known for moving the drama forward. And then…there’s the coconut. Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh do not agree on the hilarity of the coconut dance at Shannon's luau party that did not appear to be for Gina or to celebrate her engagement at all. Kyla cannot remember the last time Housewives made her laugh this hard. Dom thought it was very disturbing to see these couples gyrating all over each other to win a gift. Watching couples attempt to move a coconut up their bodies without using their hands is ridiculous, mildly disturbing, and apparently an excellent test of which couples still enjoy touching each other. Overanalyze: Is RHOC reaching its expiration date? Dom wonders whether a disappointing landmark twentieth season could signal that Orange County needs a pause. The problem may not be Housewives itself, but whether this particular cast still has the chemistry to make RHOC work. Honorable Mention: Shannon’s daughter casually confirming that yes, she would happily accept a Christian Dior clutch containing a vibrator while the Housewives react in horror. Finally, someone reasonable. This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Season 7 Episode 2 Recap
2026/09/25
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 7, Episode 2, where Whitney tries to make amends, Bronwyn enters her dating era, and Meredith’s wig somehow becomes a supporting cast member. First, Kyla is enjoying a different Lisa Barlow. After a contentious reunion last season, Lisa seems lighter, more receptive, and more like a girl’s girl. Her response to Whitney’s apology especially stands out: Lisa may not be ready to fully forgive her, but she can accept it. Progress! Whitney also opens up about her separation from Justin, admitting that their marriage is essentially over as they figure out their new normal. Dom sees a different Whitney this season: less carefree and more reflective as she confronts her relationship with alcohol, past behavior, and major changes in her personal life. Meanwhile, Bronwyn is dating, and Kyla has one important public service announcement: Please do not date someone 27 years older and less attractive because you assume that means they won’t hurt you. Date the person who makes you feel safe, secure, and loved. Thank you for attending this TED Talk. OVERANALYZE: Dom needs Meredith to take a hint and move forward. With Mary experiencing an unimaginable loss and several women navigating major life transitions, Dom expected more empathy from the group. Meredith doesn’t have to forgive Whitney or rebuild their friendship, but couldn’t she simply acknowledge the apology? Kyla agrees that Whitney’s repeated mistakes don’t erase their impact, but recognizing that someone is struggling doesn’t require excusing their behavior. Two episodes in, RHOSLC already feels different. Half the cast is dealing with separations, Mary is grieving, and even the usual petty arguments exist alongside much heavier realities. Somehow, Lisa Barlow and Heather might be the happiest people in Salt Lake City right now. HONORABLE MENTION: The ongoing mystery of Meredith’s wig. Whitney mentioned it. Heather mentioned it. Dom has questions. At this point, the wig needs a name. Send suggestions. This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com.
Real Housewives of New York City, Season 16 Episode 3 Recap
2026/09/24
Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh overanalyze The Real Housewives of New York Season 16, Episode 3, where New York City itself might be our favorite Housewife.Kyla is officially homesick for a city she has never lived in. Between the architecture, fall in New York, subway entrances, oversized sunglasses, and people casually ignoring camera crews on the sidewalk, RHONY feels like a love letter to the city. And Daisy Toye is quickly becoming a favorite, from casually calling Martha Stewart for advice to proudly showing off her rent-controlled apartment and taking us home to Brooklyn to meet her family. That leads to a bigger question when watching ANY Housewives show: When did wealth become the personality instead of the backdrop? Dom is officially over Jessel Taank’s snobbery, while Erika Hammond’s comments about chefs, grocery stores, and her lifestyle leave both Dom and Kyla conflicted. There’s a difference between watching someone live an affluent life and watching someone make affluence their entire identity. Daisy somehow has Martha Stewart on speed dial while still feeling like the most grounded person in the room.Meanwhile, Hailey Glassman’s fascinating backstory keeps getting more complicated. She explains how tennis brought her to college before drug-testing requirements changed her plans, and how she later met Jon Gosselin while he was staying in her mother’s basement. Hailey says Jon and Kate were already separated, though the public didn't know it, and describes the tabloid frenzy that followed their relationship as part of what eventually pushed her toward PR.Dom doesn’t necessarily believe Hailey broke up the marriage, but he also doesn’t fully buy the innocent-bystander version of the story. Dom Torres feels like it should be understood that dating a very recognizable reality star who publicly appeared to still be married with eight children was always going to attract attention. And now we need to know more about this entire family because why exactly was Jon Gosselin living in her mother’s basement?Dom likes Hailey for the show. Whether he actually likes Hailey is becoming a different question. Kyla Denanyoh is being entertained by Hailey, and enjoys the vulnerability when Hailey described how traumatizing it was to be thought of as someone who broke up a renowned marriage. The RHONY cast is fascinating!Honorable MentionHappy one-year anniversary to Overanalyzed with Dom and Kyla!
