Description

Elevated Life walks alongside the internally driven individual through real wellness and transformation. We're Johnna and Clint, a couple who've done the work and are still doing it, cutting through the noise with honest, unfiltered conversations about wellness, movement, mindset, spiritual growth, and personal responsibility. Our framework: Wellness is the foundation. Movement is the tool. Mindset is the driver. Personal responsibility is the container. Lived experience is the proof. We don't coddle, we don't sell false promises, and we don't trade in empty motivation. We share raw personal stories and practical tools for people ready to do the actual work, from nervous system regulation to attachment theory, from nutrition protocols to shadow work, from resistance training to authentic transformation. This is a real talk wellness podcast for people tired of quick fixes, surface-level motivation, and the comfortable hell of staying stuck. If you've been searching for a holistic wellness podcast that actually tells the truth about fitness, healing, and what mindset transformation really costs, you're in the right place. What we talk about: Personal growth, emotional fitness, gym confidence for beginners, masculine wellness, feminine energy, spiritual awakening, self-improvement through radical accountability, weight loss without gimmicks, couples who transform together, breaking free from limiting beliefs, inner child work, and building a life you don't need to escape from. We dig into attachment styles, especially fearful avoidant attachment, and how understanding your patterns changes everything. We explore what real wellness looks like when you strip away the industry noise and get honest about what's holding you back. Our story: We've walked through our own transformations, significant weight loss journeys, recovery work, nervous system healing, spiritual consciousness shifts, and complete life overhauls. We don't teach from a textbook. We teach from the trenches. Every tool we share is something we've tested on ourselves first. Clint's journey through masculine identity and physical transformation and Johnna's deep dive into spiritual awakening, energy work, and emotional healing give this podcast a perspective you won't find anywhere else because we're living it in real time. Who this is for: If you're internally driven and ready to stop making excuses, this is your show. If you've tried every quick fix and you're finally ready to address the real stuff, the mindset, the nervous system, the patterns you keep repeating, we're here to walk alongside you. We don't build dependency. We build people up to not need us anymore. That's the difference between what we do and what the wellness industry sells you. Whether you're looking for wellness for men, personal growth for couples, a no-BS fitness and movement podcast, or deeper work around shadow work and healing, we bring it all without sugarcoating it. Topics include: holistic health, real transformation, mindset shifts, personal responsibility, movement and mobility, spiritual growth, attachment theory, emotional regulation, masculine and feminine energy, gym ready tips, wellness without the BS, accountability, authentic living, and life transformation advice. New episodes twice weekly from Elevated Fitness and Mobility in Tonasket, Washington. It's time to stop surviving and start transforming. Clint's Relationship With Alcohol: Fighting the Voice, Not the Booze
2026/10/22
How Clint changed his relationship with alcohol on July 4, 2023, and why he says the fight was never with the booze. It was with the voice. Clint did not have a rock bottom moment. He decided he was done fighting, kept a fully stocked bar in view on his counter, and spent his nights proving to himself that he had control. Johnna asks the questions we think you would ask. This is Clint's experience. He says it would not necessarily work for everyone and he is not advocating it. It is not medical advice, and Johnna points out that detoxing from alcohol can be dangerous, so talk to a doctor before you change how you drink. The decision on July 4, 2023, and why there was no single bottom Why he kept the bar stocked and in view Talking back to the voice instead of silencing it Golf with his drinking buddies, no drink in hand "One is too many and one more is never enough" Johnna on food, discipline and control (chips and cookies) Why he wishes he had written down how he actually felt Chapters: 0:00 Hook: Fighting the Voice, Not the Addiction 0:33 Intro 0:56 Getting the Goof Out First 4:47 Today: How Clint Changed His Relationship With Alcohol 5:10 Why Addiction Quiets the Voice 6:50 Starting With the End: Fighting the Voice 8:33 No Rock Bottom Moment 9:03 Alcohol as a Socially Acceptable Mask 10:01 July 4, 2023: The Decision 12:47 Dealing With It Instead of Holding It at Bay 14:15 Keeping the Bar Stocked 15:47 Johnna on Food, Discipline and Control 16:56 A Word From REBUILT 17:48 Evenings Alone in the Farmhouse 19:53 Talking Back to the Voice 22:19 Journaling and Living in Victimhood 24:24 Healing Is Not a Straight Line 25:23 Golf Without a Drink 29:36 The First Drink After 30:13 One Is Too Many, One More Is Never Enough 31:30 A Word From REBUILT 32:07 Tools When the Urge Hits 35:34 What Detox Looked Like 41:25 It Took Courage 43:12 You Already Did the Hardest Thing 45:37 Regret and Gratitude for Writing It Down 46:20 The Journal Inside REBUILT 49:34 Wrap-Up Johnna on the journal that comes with REBUILT, and why being specific about how you feel matters. 2026/10/15

Why Don't You Value Yourself? Clint on Self Worth
2026/10/08
How to value yourself: Clint on self worth and what drinking was really covering for. Four years ago Clint was stuck in what he calls a comfortable hell. This week he said out loud that the alcohol was never the problem. It was his way of coping with something deeper, and he only fully realized it two days before we recorded. Where not valuing yourself starts: his brothers, Thanksgiving and Pictionary night Subconscious programming from ages 0 to 7 Johnna on the Hawaiian healing practices she's using to rewrite it How one meal he cooked for himself became the start of training Why valuing yourself changes how the people around you value you Why you don't have to break down to break through Chapters: 0:00 Hook: The Alcohol Was Never the Problem 0:36 Intro 0:59 A Season of Growth and Change 3:45 Where Clint's Mind Was Four Years Ago 5:09 Feeling Trapped 7:08 Trapped in a Comfortable Hell 10:56 How Alcohol Came Into the Picture 14:14 Alcohol Was the Remedy, Not the Problem 17:09 What Was the Remedy Masking? 20:27 Growing Up in His Brothers' Shadow 22:48 Thanksgiving Dinner and Not Being an Equal 24:46 The Pictionary Night Story 27:43 Subconscious Programming From Ages 0 to 7 29:11 Why You Don't Value Yourself: The Root 31:35 Hawaiian Healing Practices and Rewriting the Code 33:02 The Moment Clint Decided to Change 35:23 Investing in Yourself: Nutrition and the First Meal 41:07 Fitness: The Gateway Drug to Excellence 43:57 REBUILT Is an Identity Rebuild Disguised as a Fitness Program 44:56 Not Valuing Yourself Resurfaced This Week 46:23 Interviewing Himself to Rewrite REBUILT for Men 49:21 How to Value Yourself: Why It Changes How Others Value You 52:09 The Newsletter and "Does Anyone Care What I Have to Say?" 56:29 REBUILT for Men: More Than an Exercise Program 57:53 You Don't Have to Break Down to Break Through 59:16 Rate the Podcast REBUILT for Men is a complete identity rebuild disguised as a fitness program. Retatrutide Side Effects: What Our Third Cycle Taught Us
2026/10/05
Retatrutide side effects and dosage from our own third cycle. Johnna and Clint on what we felt, what we got wrong, and why habits matter more than the quick fix. We did a third retatrutide cycle after the move and fell off our nutrition. This is our lived experience, not medical advice. Why we did it again and what we got wrong Retatrutide dosage and the side effects we each felt Lived experience vs. research Johnna's set point and the moving target Why you can't be on it forever, and why building habits is the point Chapters: 0:00 Hook: Retatrutide and the Moving Target 1:09 Intro 1:32 Oops, We Did It Again: Our Third Retatrutide Cycle 3:01 Why We Did It Again After the Move 5:12 A Word From REBUILT 5:49 Using Retatrutide to Restart Nutrition and Training 7:23 Weight Gained Before the Cycle 10:18 How This Cycle Differed From the First 12:16 Results: Weight and Body Fat 16:06 Retatrutide Dosage and Lived Experience Over Research 18:56 Retatrutide Side Effects: Nausea, Energy and Workouts 21:23 Retatrutide and Focus 23:19 Feeling Weak 25:12 Dampened Hunger Signals and Intuition 28:06 Why Johnna Won't Take It Again 29:34 Johnna's New Set Point 32:51 Your Body, Your Choice: Build Habits 34:17 Mood, Irritability and Mental Health 36:14 What Counts as Doing It Naturally 39:09 Dosage and Side Effects 40:08 Hurricane Lowell 41:06 Takeaways: Listen to Your Body 42:59 REBUILT for Men and REBUILT for Women Build habits you can keep, because you can't be on it forever. She Talks to Nature Spirits in the Trees
2026/10/01
Johnna sees and talks to tree spirits. She has since she was three years old, and today she says it out loud. What we get into: How Johnna was raised as a fundamentalist Christian and told from a young age that what she sees in nature was demonic What she actually sees: faces in trees and other vegetation, going back to her first encounter at three Years of trying to exorcise it out of herself, and the relief of a trusted intuitive reader telling her she's seeing tree spirits The plumeria, monkeypod, and coconut trees she's connected with at home on Kauai, and why she talks to her tree before she works out The ancestor who came through with the same gift, silenced generations ago, and what it means to honor that line by speaking up Johnna's message to anyone who sees or feels things and was taught to be ashamed of it: lean in Why we changed our intro, and why we don't want to pigeonhole what this show covers There's more on this coming in future episodes. More at cjelevatedlife.com, including the newsletter. REBUILT for Men ($67) and REBUILT for Women ($67): the first 12 weeks of a habit you keep for life. Personal Training with Johnna: It's Never Too Late to Build Strength
2026/09/28
Johnna just posted her own personal training offer on a local Kauai Facebook page, and she was still shaking when we hit record. Want to start on your own first? REBUILT for Men and REBUILT for Women guide you through the first 12 weeks of a habit you keep for life. What we get into: Johnna's scariest move since we landed on Kauai: putting her training offer in front of the island's biggest local page Why she's getting back into personal training after burning out on it, and the boundaries she's setting this time Two ways to train with her: in your home on Kauai's South Shore, or online over FaceTime or any video call, with no app required Why she prefers building a real relationship over handing someone a program in an app What you need to start: a water bottle, comfortable clothes, and a willingness to learn Why one session a week is a fine place to begin Who she loves working with most: advanced-age adults and perimenopausal and menopausal women To train with Johnna, head to cjelevatedlife.com and scroll down to the training section. REBUILT for Men ($67) and REBUILT for Women ($67): the first 12 weeks of a habit you keep for life. Remember Henry: What a Stranger at Home Depot Taught Us
2026/09/24
A week after Hurricane Lowell, we were in a genuinely dark place, not from the storm itself, but from a week spent doomscrolling a local Facebook page that made an entire island feel like it hated us. What we get into: Why a week glued to a toxic local Facebook page did more damage to us than the actual hurricane did Clint striking up a conversation with a Home Depot supervisor named Henry, who ended up needing that conversation as much as we did Why "you have no idea what you just did for us" went both directions How that one interaction gave us the courage to help two strangers with a dead car battery a few days later Why "remember Henry" is still written on our whiteboard This one picks up right where last week's episode left off. More at cjelevatedlife.com, including the newsletter.
Invest in Yourself Before You Expect Anyone Else To
2026/09/21
This one's about the gap between the person you keep visualizing and the person you actually are right now, and why closing it always comes down to one thing: investment. What we get into: Why you can't expect other people to believe in you if you haven't invested in believing in yourself first Johnna's own investment story, from her first major weight loss to getting certified as a trainer to writing REBUILT from scratch, more than once Clint's "rental car" analogy for why some people spend money on a program and never actually own it Why fitness works as a gateway: invest in one area, and it starts bleeding into everything else A simple challenge: pick one thing this week, and actually invest in it REBUILT for Men ($67) and REBUILT for Women ($67) are both live now at cjelevatedlife.com, including the newsletter.
REBUILT for Men and REBUILT for Women Are Live: Here's What's Inside
2026/09/17
Quick programming note: REBUILT for Men and REBUILT for Women are officially live, so we sat down to walk through what's actually in them and why this is the fourth rebuild of REBUILT itself. What we get into: Why Johnna rewrote it again, this time built for one specific person instead of trying to convince everyone What's inside: the Guide (the why), the 12-week Program (training and nutrition), and the Journal (a simple way to track progress) Why there's no six-pack-in-12-weeks promise anywhere in this program, and what the 12 weeks are actually for How the program adapts if all you have is bands and bodyweight, no full gym required Johnna's own numbers: over 100 pounds lost and kept off, and how she actually tracked it REBUILT for Men ($67) and REBUILT for Women ($67) are both live now at cjelevatedlife.com. Newsletter's there too if you want more of this in your inbox.
Hurricane Lowell: The Real Kauai vs. the Online Version
2026/09/14
This one's different. We recorded it once already and scrapped it, the storm needed some distance before we could talk about it clearly. What we get into: What it was actually like riding out Hurricane Lowell in our home on Kauai's South Shore The real damage we saw firsthand along the coastline, and what recovery looks like right now Why the online reaction to the storm didn't match anything we experienced in person What tourism actually means to this island's economy, and why "never come back" isn't the answer A few concrete ways to actually help local businesses right now, if that's something you want to do We said early on we'd always be transparent here, even when the topic is hard. This is one of those. More at cjelevatedlife.com, including the newsletter.
What Raygun's Olympic Meltdown Taught Us About Courage
2026/09/10
We watched Netflix's Untold: Raygun - Breaking Badly and couldn't stop talking about it. What we get into: The kind of courage it takes to do something in public knowing it might fail badly, and why that matters more than confidence The Olympic breakdancer everyone mocked online, and the risk she knew she was taking before she ever competed Why her husband's support worked, because it wasn't blind support Richard Branson's out-of-nowhere gesture, and why it stuck with us more than anything else in the documentary How Johnna is applying that same kind of courage to her own surfing right now We also get into why we renamed the show to Elevated Life with Johnna and Clint and launched the new site. More at cjelevatedlife.com, including the newsletter.
The Island Chooses You: One Month on Kauai
2026/09/07
One month into living on Kauai, we sat down and catalogued everything that's actually shifted, big and small, since we moved. What we get into: How the island pulled both of us off our phones without either of us trying to make that happen The mental shift of going from water scarcity to real abundance Why island time isn't about things moving slower, it's about being forced into presence Clint's fear of water, and the day he finally got on a surfboard Johnna's new work schedule at Kauai Surf School, plus the DMV visit that somehow ended with a dragon fruit Why the island keeps reinforcing that we're supposed to be here A month in, and a lot has changed, none of it on purpose. Curious what a month on Kauai actually looks like day to day? More in the newsletter at cjelevatedlife.com.
When You Start Valuing Yourself Not Everyone Will Be Happy About It
2026/09/02
Leveling up sounds clean until the people around you start reacting. Diet changes, training, boundaries, quitting the old habits — all of it shifts the roles in your relationships. Some people will be glad for you. A lot of them will not. What we get into: How your change creates comparison and holds up a mirror other people don't want to look at Why relationships lose their old equilibrium when you stop playing the same role The difference between confidence and arrogance, and how easy it is to cross that line Why new boundaries can feel like rejection even when you're just saying yes to yourself Cognitive dissonance — watching you do what they believe is impossible and then dismissing you for it The part nobody talks about: sometimes it isn't jealousy. It's grief. They miss the version of you that was more available How to stay gracious without letting the crabs pull you back in the bucket Self-reflection versus self-hatred, and the difference between "I'm allowed to choose differently" and "I'm better than you" Growth costs access. Some people will adjust. Some won't. You're still allowed to choose yourself. Want more tools for the work? Sign up for the newsletter at cjelevatedlife.com.
