Knowing Jesus | Luke 24:13–24 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/10/18
Most of us spend our lives chasing things that feel urgent but leave us empty. Our deepest need is not comfort, security, or success. It is knowing Jesus personally. In Luke 24, two heartbroken disciples walking away from Jerusalem encounter the risen Christ, and their lives are completely reversed. Four things mark the lives of those who truly know Him: they talk with friends about who He is, they let Scripture speak to their hearts, they urgently ask Him to stay, and they allow their hearts to burn with genuine passion for Him. Knowing about Jesus is not the same as knowing Jesus. He is not looking for people who can pass a Bible trivia quiz. He is looking for people whose hearts are open and who will urgently ask Him to stay.
A Word for the Worried | Proverbs 12:25 | Brent Halvorsen
2026/10/11
Anxiety is something every person experiences, but it does not have to have the final word. Proverbs 4:23 calls us to guard our hearts above all else, because what lives in the heart shapes the direction of our lives. Anxiety distorts our view of God, making Him seem smaller and less capable than He truly is, while magnifying every problem we face. It weighs us down physically, emotionally, and in our decision-making. But God has not left us without an answer. The Word of God is living and active, and when we fill our hearts with it consistently, it crowds out fear and replaces it with genuine peace. His promises are not suggestions. They are anchors for the soul in every season of worry and uncertainty.
A Posture for Powerful and Purposeful Prayer | John 11:38-44 | Pastor Scott Gibson
2026/10/04
Standing at the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus modeled something powerful before performing one of His greatest miracles. He lifted His eyes toward heaven and prayed with complete confidence in the Father. That simple posture reveals everything about how we are meant to approach God in prayer. Lifting our eyes is not just a physical act. It is a declaration of what we believe about who God is and who we are in Him. We lift our eyes to worship God as Father, to seek His righteousness first, to offer praise and thanksgiving, to demonstrate confidence rooted in His Word, and to be a witness to those around us. Prayer is not a transaction. It is intimate access to the Creator of the universe, made possible through Jesus Christ.
Vertical Eyes Open Missional Eyes | John 4:27-42 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/09/27
God calls every believer to live on mission, not just to gather for worship on Sundays but to scatter into the world throughout the week. Vertical worship is not the finish line; it is the fuel that sends us outward toward a harvest that is already ripe. In John 4, Jesus modeled this perfectly, engaging a spiritually thirsty woman at a well and then turning to His disciples with an urgent call to open their eyes to the people around them. Two out of three people in your community may be spiritually hungry, bouncing from relationship to relationship, looking for something only Christ can provide. You do not need a theology degree or a plane ticket to another country to live on mission. You simply need a story, a willingness to tell it, and eyes that are lifted toward the harvest God has placed right in front of you.
From where does my help come? | Psalm 121 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/09/20
Psalm 121 was written for real people on a real journey, climbing real hills toward the presence of God. Like them, we all face hills that threaten to stop our ascent, whether those are hills of crisis like fear, addiction, or financial pressure, or hills of success like pride and self-sufficiency. The deepest needs of the human heart cannot be met by Google, therapy, or self-help. Real help comes from Yahweh, the God who made heaven and earth, who never sleeps, who walks beside us, and who keeps us in our going out and our coming in. Because we could not ascend to God, He descended to us, conquering the hill of sin at Calvary so that we could be rescued completely. The most honest word we can speak is simply this: help. Bringing that word to God is not weakness. It is the first step of the ascent.
Life in the New City | Hebrews 10,11,13 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/09/13
Abraham left everything familiar and stepped out in faith without knowing where he was going. That same kind of forward movement defines what it means to follow Christ and build a church today. Being small and new is not a weakness. It is often the very condition God works through to accomplish great things. The New Testament model of church planting was never a solo effort, and healthy churches grow when people move from being consumers to becoming committed citizens of a local body. Three foundations hold a gospel-centered church together: the authority of Scripture, the lordship of Jesus Christ, and the centrality of the gospel. Five daily habits build that body from the inside out: pray, obey, serve, give, and invite. God is the designer and builder of His church. Our job is to trust Him enough to take the next step, even when we cannot see the whole staircase.
May I Have a Word | Ephesians 6:18-24 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/09/06
Words are more powerful than we often realize, and God uses them as a delivery system to accomplish His purposes in the world. Through prayer, we bring our needs and the needs of others before the One who can supply them, trusting the Holy Spirit to intercede even when our words fall short. Through the gospel, every believer is called to be an ambassador, delivering the message of Christ's substitutionary work to those around them. Through encouragement, we carry one another by genuinely checking in and speaking truth into each other's lives. Praying in the Spirit means depending on Him to translate our broken prayers to the Father. Sharing the gospel does not require perfection, only willingness to speak some words of the good news in every circumstance. And encouraging others can be as simple as asking how someone is really doing and listening with care. Words matter, and God has placed them in our hands as tools for His purposes.
This Means War | Ephesians 6:10-17 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/08/30
Spiritual conflict is real, but so is the provision God has made for every believer. Ephesians 6:10-17 reveals that our true enemy is not other people but the devil and his fallen angels, who actively work to mar the image of God in our lives. God has equipped us with everything we need to stand firm, and that equipment is not a collection of separate tools but a full covering found in Jesus Christ Himself. The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit all point to one reality: Christ is our armor. Putting on the armor is a daily, intentional act of dependence on Him. The battle is real, but because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross, it is already won.
The Gospel goes to Work | Ephesians 6:1-4 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/08/23
Work was part of God's original design, created not as a curse but as a calling meant to bring glory to Him. Because of sin, work became hard, frustrating, and often unfulfilling, and our fallen nature pulls us toward either underworking or overworking. The Gospel changes everything about how and why we work. Because Jesus served us when we had nothing to offer, we are freed to serve others with sincerity, obedience, and a servant's heart. Every Christian in the workplace is a marketplace missionary, representing Christ to people who may never step inside a church. Ephesians 6:5-9 outlines five qualities that should mark every believer at work: obedience, sincerity, verticality, service, and hope. Whether you are an employee or an employer, you answer to the same God, and He sees not just what you do but why you do it. Go to work this week not just as an employee, but as an ambassador for Jesus Christ.
Every Parent's Playbook | Ephesians 6:1-4 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/08/17
Ephesians 6:1-4 speaks to two groups that most of us belong to at the same time: children and parents. Children are called to obey and honor their parents, not simply as a rule, but as a path toward blessing. Parents, particularly fathers, are warned not to provoke their children but to raise them through loving discipline and wise instruction. Obedience is not just a family value. It is a reflection of our relationship with God. At the heart of all of this is the gospel. Jesus lived the perfectly obedient life we could not live and took the punishment for our disobedience. Through faith in Him, we are declared righteous and adopted into the family of God. Every healthy family is built on that foundation.
How to Respect Your Husband | Ephesians 5:22-33 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/08/09
In today’s sermon, Pastor Trent Griffith continues in the series "The Center of it All" going verse by verse through the book of Ephesians. In the message "How to Respect Your Husband", we see that God gives husbands and wives different commands in marriage because He knows what each needs most. Husbands are called to love, while wives are called to respect, and both commands address the areas where each naturally struggles. Biblical submission is not weakness or inferiority. It is a wife aligning her strength and wisdom to help her husband become the spiritual leader God has called him to be. Respect is rocket fuel for a husband's leadership, giving him the confidence to step up when he is filled with self-doubt. There are five practical ways a wife can show respect: acceptance, assistance, admiration, adaptability, and availability. Marriage is ultimately a picture of Christ and the church, and when both spouses move toward each other in obedience to God's design, the gospel becomes visible to the world around them.
How to Love Your Wife | Ephesians 5:22-33 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/08/02
In today’s sermon, Pastor Trent Griffith continues in the series "The Center of it All" going verse by verse through the book of Ephesians. In the message "How to Love Your Wife", Ephesians 5 gives husbands a clear and challenging picture of what it means to truly love their wives, and at the center of it all is Jesus Christ. Submission, as described in Ephesians 5:21, is not weakness. It means coming alongside someone to help them win. A husband is called to love his wife the way Christ loves the church: pursuing her, purifying her with truth, and helping her flourish into everything God created her to be. He is also called to love her as he loves himself, nourishing and cherishing her with his time, attention, affection, and presence. When love and respect break down, a destructive cycle begins, but either person can break it by choosing to act first. Ultimately, a husband cannot love his wife this way on his own strength. It flows from a man who has been captured by the love of Jesus and is living out of that reality every day.
Under The Influence | Ephesians 5:15-21 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/07/26
In today’s sermon, Pastor Trent Griffith continues in the series "The Center of it All" going verse by verse through the book of Ephesians. In the message "Under the Influence", Every believer is commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and this command is the foundation for every other aspect of the Christian life. Being filled is not a one-time event but a continuous, daily process of surrendering to His influence. Just as wine controls and changes a person, the Holy Spirit seeks to control and transform us from the inside out. Anything we run to apart from Him, whether substances, social media, work, or comfort, will ultimately leave us empty. The Spirit-filled life produces wisdom, song, and a heart that genuinely desires to serve others. Getting filled is not something we achieve but something we receive, through confession, faith, and immersing ourselves in the ordinary means of grace. And because we leak, we return to Him again and again.
Songs Of Lament | Pslam 13 | Rick Amos
2026/07/19
When life falls apart, most of us struggle to know how to pray. Psalm 13 offers a four-part pattern that is honest, bold, and deeply comforting for anyone walking through a hard season. David models what it looks like to turn to God completely, complain to Him honestly, pray to Him boldly, and trust Him continually. These are not steps in a formula but movements in a real relationship with God. Lament is not a sign of weak faith. It is actually one of the most faithful things a person can do. God does not need us to clean up our prayers before bringing them to Him. He welcomes our raw, unfiltered honesty and meets us in it. Whatever you are carrying right now, Psalm 13 is an invitation to bring it all to Him.
God's Nightlight | Ephesians 5:7-14 | Pastor Trent Griffith
2026/07/12
In today’s sermon, Pastor Trent Griffith continues in the series "The Center of it All" going verse by verse through the book of Ephesians. In the message "God's Nightlight". There is a battle running through all of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, and it is the battle between darkness and light. Every believer is caught up in that story right now. Ephesians 5:7-14 reminds us that we were not simply near the darkness before Christ. We were the darkness. But because of what He has done, that is no longer true. Now we are light in the Lord, and the call is simply to act like it. Walking in the light means pursuing truth, righteousness, and goodness in a way that makes the gospel look genuinely good to the people around us. Light does not just expose darkness. It transforms it. The world is waiting for Christians who know how to live, suffer, give, and love in a way that makes people wish the gospel were true because they can already see that it is good.
