Why Everyone is WRONG About Samyra Miller (and body positivity)
2026/09/25

Samyra Miller has built a following of over two million people for being unapologetically plus-size, and for the last two years, almost every headline about her has been negative. This week on NK's Wrld, I'm going through the whole timeline, from New Orleans to Harvard to the Cardi B fallout, to figure out which of her fights actually deserved the backlash and which ones didn't. And with weight loss drugs everywhere and plus-size representation disappearing in real time, I'm asking what happens to a movement when its most visible voice keeps handing people a reason to tune out.

Lizzo spent about six years being treated as proof that the body positivity movement worked. She was the example everyone pointed to, the one who made it look like the culture had actually changed. Then she lost weight, and the same people who used her as evidence decided she had betrayed them.
In this video, I go all the way back to Minneapolis, before the Grammys, before Truth Hurts, before anyone had decided what she was supposed to represent.
We get into how her body became her brand and who actually made that decision, where body positivity came from in the first place and what it looked like before brands got hold of it, and what happened when she stopped fitting the role she had been cast in. The lawsuits, the album, the Substack essay, all of it.
Because the thing nobody wants to say out loud is that loving your body was always conditional. It was fine right up until you could afford to change it.
So was body positivity ever a real movement, or was it just a holding pattern for women who had not yet reached the body everyone actually wanted?

The REAL Reason No One Wants to be a Trad Wife Anymore...
2026/09/07
Newsletter: https://nkswrld.substack.com/?utm_campaign=profile_chips
Nara Smith built one of the biggest food accounts on the internet, making cereal, boba and chewing gum from scratch in designer clothes. Somewhere along the way, the internet crowned her the face of the tradwives, and last month she went on Call Her Daddy, pulled out her phone, Googled the definition on air and went through it point by point, explaining why none of it describes her.
The reaction was crazyyyy. People said she was gaslighting, rewriting history and that she used to tag her own videos with the word.
I came into this video agreeing with that, and then the research changed my mind about most of it.
In this episode: how Nara actually got here, where the word tradwife comes from and the women who built it, why Ballerina Farm also rejects the label, and what the Call Her Daddy interview does and doesn't prove.
Plus the question underneath all of it. If nobody in the chain ever meant it politically, how did it get all the way here?

Sabrina Carpenter: For the Girls or the Male Gaze?
2026/08/21
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nkswrldd/
Sabrina Carpenter has been on one of the biggest runs in pop music history. But underneath the bows, the vintage pin-up aesthetic, and the explicit content is a question nobody seems to want to answer directly. Is she performing for the girls or for the gaze? And does it even matter which one if the image delivers the same thing to the culture either way? This video goes all the way back. The Disney era. The aesthetic shift. The W Magazine photoshoot and the 1997 film I watched specifically for this video. The Man's Best Friend album cover. And the visual language that has been circulating in pop culture long before Sabrina Carpenter picked up a microphone.

North West is only thirteen years old, yet she has a signed record deal, has released an EP, has a fourteen-date tour, and has twenty-one million followers on a joint TikTok account with her mother. She attended Paris Fashion Week alone, was approached by grown men, and neither of her parents was there.
In today's episode, we are getting into all of the controversies surrounding North, the adultification of Black girls and how child content creation will be in the future.

No One Has A Real Face Anymore: The Madison Beer Problem
2026/07/29
Madison Beer has been called the most perfect face on the internet. And the internet spent the last several years trying to prove she paid for it. In this episode, I am breaking down who Madison Beer actually is before the face discourse started, what the forensic scrutiny of her features looks like up close, and what the whole debate says about a beauty standard designed to keep everyone slightly behind. This one is not about whether she is lying. It is about why we care so much. And what that says about all of us.

It NEVER Started with Wicked: Ariana Grande's Decline...
2026/07/16
Ariana Grande has been explaining her body to strangers on the internet since she was nineteen years old. This video is not about diagnosing her, deciding whether she's okay, or picking a side in a debate that she never asked to be the centre of. It's about going back to the beginning, walking the actual timeline, and asking a question nobody seems to want to sit with: Are we watching out for her or just watching her?

Everything WRONG with Saint Satine (Katseye's Replacement?)
2026/07/08
Saint Satine is HYBE and Geffen's newest global girl group. Three of their four members already went through a survival show two years ago, didn't make the first group, and got called back to do it again. The fourth was selected while she was still legally a minor, as required by California law to be in school during the month her competitors were training full-time.
Before they've released a real body of work, there's already a racism controversy nobody has addressed, a selection controversy nobody has explained, and a song in their debut catalogue with adult innuendo.
This video gets into all of it. Where Saint Satine came from, the company behind them, every controversy surrounding their formation, and what the whole situation says about an industry that keeps doing this to young women and calling it an opportunity.
If you haven't seen my Katseye video, watch that first. Link above. It's important context for everything we cover here.

Blake Lively has spent the last year as the most-debated woman on the internet, and somehow, the actual conversation about her keeps getting buried in the noise. In this episode, I'm doing a full three-part breakdown of the "It Ends With Us" press tour, the Justin Baldoni lawsuit, and the very deliberate way Blake has moved through all of it. Whether you love her or hate her, the woman has a strategy, and most people completely missed it while they were busy arguing about her personality.

The Problematic Child Star to OnlyFans Pipeline...

Piper Rockelle grew up on camera. Every part of her childhood was content, and the internet has been watching her get closer to 18 for years, like it was something to count down to.
This video gets into all of it. The child star machine that built her in the first place. How she got adultified in real time while people watched. The "Bop House" drama that looks a little too convenient, given the timing. And the part nobody wants to say out loud, which is that turning 18 didn't actually fix anything for her. This isn't just about Piper. This is bigger than her.
Why are so many young women turning to adult platforms?

The Anne Hathaway Situation Is More Disturbing Than You Think...
2026/06/10
One second of Anne Hathaway's face in the Odyssey trailer broke the internet, and the conversation that followed was about so much more than one actress and one procedure.
This is the full story of what Hollywood has been demanding from women's faces for decades. The impossible standard of staying young while delivering emotionally raw performances. The male actors who age on screen and get called distinguished. The women who do the same and get called washed up. And the women who try to stop the clock are called frozen.

Anne Hathaway was offered Botox at 23. A cinematographer refused to film Jamie Lee Curtis because of her eyes at 25. Olivia Wilde was told she was too old at 28. Maggie Gyllenhaal was told she was too old at 37. This is by no means a coincidence, and it has been a recurring problem for a very long time.
Is there a version of aging in Hollywood that women are actually allowed to do?

Katseye is a social experiment, and you fell for it
2026/05/29
She was recruited because of her star quality. She was the first Black artist to ever sign with Hybe. She was the only Black member of a group built explicitly around global diversity and representation. And the warning signs that something was wrong were there from the very beginning.
This is the full story of Manon Bannerman and what really happened inside Katseye.

Cassie Howard had everything a compelling character needs. And Euphoria wasted all of it. This video is about what happens when a showrunner mistakes spectacle for storytelling, why Cassie's arc isn't just bad writing but a pattern, and what it reveals about who gets to tell stories about women and what they actually think of them.

Clara Dao built a platform of 4 million subscribers by telling women to love the body the beauty industry said was wrong, the flat chest, the slim frame, the petite figure that fashion had spent decades pretending did not exist. She went viral, built a clothing line specifically for the women the industry had always ignored, built a community of millions and became one of the most recognizable faces of the body positivity movement online.
And then in March 2025, she got a boob job. Lost 500,000 followers overnight. Her relationship fell apart. She posted a body transformation video. Moved to LA. And started an OF.
Today, we are getting into the full story of Clara Dao. Because what happened to Clara connects to something much bigger than one influencer deciding about her own body, and if we keep focusing on the individual, we are going to miss the system operating beneath it all.

TikTok Banned Her. But then She Came Back WORSE.
2026/04/29
If you're struggling, please check out: https://www.allianceforeatingdisorders.com/
Liv Schmidt went viral for being thin, built a private $130,000-a-month community around it, got banned from TikTok, and then came back as if nothing had happened. But here's what nobody is talking about: she didn't create the demand. She just found a way to monetize it.
In this episode, I'm getting into who Liv Schmidt actually is, what was happening inside the Skinni Societe, what it took for the platform to finally act, and the bigger question underneath all of it:
Did TikTok's ban on Liv Schmidt actually protect anyone, or did it just protect itself?
