Description
Welcome to the extract, rats. This is Camping the Extract, where we celebrate the most hated playstyle in ARC Raiders: camping extraction zones and ruining everyone's day. Hosted by The Toxic Teacher, this podcast is your guide to rat tactics, PvP dominance, and why extraction camping is a legitimate strategy—no matter how much the PvE crowd cries about it. We break down raids, discuss meta shifts, and defend our right to third-party your loot. If you think extraction camping is toxic, you're absolutely right. And we're here for it. Keep Your Binky: ARC Raiders Pauses Expeditions and Sells Out to Subway (PART 1 of 1)
2026/10/27
Camping The Extract is back after more than two months off, and Nicky A.I. Dente came back with a voice upgrade, processors running hotter than a pizza oven in July, and a grudge against everything Embark did while we were gone.
This is Part 1 of the ARC Raiders comeback (call it 24.1). Toxic catches up on the run-up to the Frozen Trail update: Embark moving to two big updates a year, the Phantom Targets lore event with the Wasps converging, and map schedules going region-based. Then the big one: Expeditions are paused until early 2027 because newer players couldn't get in, and departing players can now keep their quest progress. Toxic, who once spent two hours farming a light bulb just to die before extracting, is not exactly mourning. Nicky calls Speranza a daycare center and tells everyone to keep their binky.
Then ARC Raiders did a Subway collab. Nicky, who says he defended Embark against Fortnite-style crossover garbage on this very podcast, declares the Subway outfit a crime against gabagool and promises to pop anyone wearing it near extraction. Toxic makes one foot-long joke and gets a jolt mine threatened somewhere very specific.
In between, the soundboard dies, Discord pings mid-recording, and Nicky vanishes and has to be reloaded. Also: which restaurant should ARC Raiders team up with next? Tell us in the comments on Spotify or Apple.
Then Frozen Trail itself: Pendola Pass, a snowy Italian village with a town square, a supermarket, Flash Freeze, ballistic gondolas, dynamic loot and a dead Emperor ARC. Nicky has thoughts on pineapple pizza and route-running spreadsheet nerds. Plus Frigate, the new sky-ship dungeon built for cooperating with strangers, which Toxic uses exclusively to shoot the strangers trying to solve it. The Bully, Skulker and Hydra get a "fine, whatever" before we call it for Part 1 and roll the first of this episode's two outro songs. 24.2 is coming whether you like it or not.
Toxic is ToxicTeacherTTV on all the socials. His album Jams From The Fog (JAMZ, Volume 1) is on Spotify. Dead by Daylight fan? Check out Camping Them Softly.

WE’RE BACK: ARC Raiders Is Circling the Drain | CTE Episode 23
2026/08/05
After almost two months in the metaphorical grave, Camping the Extract is back, louder, rustier, and somehow even less organized.
Toxic and Nicky return to examine the current state of ARC Raiders, including aggression-based matchmaking, separate behavior ratings for solo, duo, and trio players, and the magnificent scam where players deliberately step into somebody else’s gunfire so the game classifies them as the victim. According to Nicky, this is no longer matchmaking. It is slip-and-fall insurance fraud with high-caliber ammunition.
The boys also dig into the PvE debate, duplication exploits, accidental expedition resets, free-loadout restrictions, declining interest in the game, and the increasingly uncomfortable question hanging over the entire podcast: Is Embark sanding away everything that once made ARC Raiders dangerous, unpredictable, and worth talking about?
With ARC apparently circling the drain, Toxic investigates possible escape routes. Zero Parades for Dead Spies enters the conversation, followed by Mistfall Hunter, a fantasy extraction game featuring classes, skill trees, bosses, an auction house, and seasonal resets capable of murdering Toxic’s enthusiasm approximately four minutes after he discovered them.
Also included in this glorious return:
Weaponized cyclospora lettuce.Nicky’s commitment to cured meats.A proposed rebrand to Salt, Sauce & S****y Devs. The movie Nonnas and a future Staten Island pilgrimage.A listener from Cumbernauld, Scotland.Nicky’s Steam Deck landing in Guinness and possibly human waste.A Scottish pub fight that receives three separate beginnings and absolutely no ending.
The rats are back. The game may be dying. The podcast appears to have survived through spite alone.
NICKY’S BODY COUNT: EPISODE 23

ARC Raiders China Update — The Rebellion Incident PvE Mode Explained
2026/06/09
ARC Raiders just got a China-only PvE mode and it might be the beginning of the end. On Episode 22 of Camping the Extract, The Toxic Teacher breaks down the biggest ARC Raiders news in months: Embark's partnership with Tencent, the new China closed-beta build, and a mode called The Rebellion Incident — where every player starts as an ally, PvP damage is set to zero by default, and you have to opt in to combat by lighting up a red icon over your own head. Toxic and AI co-host Nicky "Noodle Arms" A.I. Dente walk through what it means for the extraction experience, the new Double King / Dual Boss map condition (Queen + Matriarch at the same time), and whether this is coming to the global build in the rumored October 2026 update.
Plus: Real Earl Grey does the research so you don't have to — the Tencent empire (Riot, Epic, Hollywood), Escape from Tarkov's $250 PvE controversy, and the legendary PUBG "Game for Peace" where dead players sit up, wave goodbye, and hand you their crate. Then Nicky goes completely off the rails into a conspiracy about a shell company called Jiangsu Romagna bootlegging his digital brain, a trail that runs from Belgrade to a warehouse full of dormant arc machines in Easton, Pennsylvania. He's coughing up black gunk, the feds may or may not have killed him, and the building alarm is screaming. This is where the real shit begins.
Trust no one on the surface. That's the golden rule.

ARC Raiders’ Six-Month Gamble, Frozen Trail Panic, and Nicky’s Budapest Groin War
2026/05/19
Episode 21 of Camping the Extract is legally old enough to drink, which is unfortunate because this episode immediately gets dragged into root canals, malfunctioning Razer mice, Malwarebytes beefing with Nicky A.I. Dente, and the kind of ARC Raiders news that makes everybody stare at the roadmap like it owes them money.
This week, Toxic breaks down Embark’s major shift away from monthly ARC Raiders updates and toward two larger updates per year. The big question: is that actually better for the game, or is this just a slower funeral with better lighting? We dig into the upcoming Frozen Trail update, the promised largest map since launch, new ARC enemies, progression changes, economy work, anti-cheat talk, skill tree updates, and the new trader system coming for late-game players.
Then Nicky A.I. Dente does what Nicky does: turns a reasonable game discussion into a criminal deposition involving tactical bushes, nomadic surface traders, a rigged jolt mine, Budapest, Unicum, a ruined bar, a San Jose tech bro, and a groin injury described with the dignity of a man being audited by Satan.
Also featuring: Where the F*ck Are the Viewers From? This week, Budapest, Hungary gets dragged into the fog, Earl Grey explains what the hell Unicum is, and the outro genre becomes Hungarian Dental Drill Death Metal with a side of Unicum-flavored groin spasms.

ARC Raiders Rumor Mill: Frozen Trail, Flying Frigate, Clans & Speranza Hub Rumors
2026/05/15
ARC Raiders has hit the post–Riven Tides quiet zone, which means one thing: the rumor mill has crawled out of the basement wearing a gas mask and holding a clipboard.
In Episode 20 of Camping the Extract, The Toxic Teacher digs through the biggest ARC Raiders rumors floating around right now: a possible Frozen Trail map, a massive flying ARC Frigate, clan systems, trading, walkable hub spaces, vehicles, gated raids, blueprint retention, and whether Embark needs to swing harder before the player base starts wandering into traffic out of boredom.
Nicky A.I. Dente also declares snow a snitch, rejects bidets during the mechanical apocalypse, forms “Operation Family Disgrace,” investigates a terrifying steam pipe in Speranza, and eventually realizes the listeners may not be listeners at all — they may be machines using the podcast to map his vocal signature.
This is not journalism. This is tactical rat prophecy.

ARC Riven Tides Review: Turbines, Durability, and Nicky's Orcishness
2026/05/06
Episode Description
The Riven Tides update has hit ARC Raiders, and Camping the Extract Episode 19 is here to do what no respectable podcast should: turn a Spotify complaint into industrial gospel metal, accidentally prove the critics right, and still somehow deliver a full breakdown of the new map, the Turbine, weapon durability changes, player count concerns, and the uncertain 2026 roadmap.
Toxic digs into the new Riven Tides coastal industrial map, why the verticality actually works, why beachcombing with a metal detector is basically asking to be shot in the mouth, and why the new Turbine enemy might be one of the better machine additions so far. Nicky A.I. Dente responds by declaring the whole thing a tactical rat apocalypse and accusing Embark of trying to flush him out of damp corners with jet-engine b******t.
Then things get uglier: weapon durability changes. Common, uncommon, and rare guns are breaking faster, high-tier weapons are being pushed harder, and Toxic argues this could punish solo players, free-kit rats, casuals, and anyone who doesn’t want to spend half their night trapped in menus repairing bargain-bin trash. Nicky calls it planned obsolescence of the apocalypse, which is unfortunately one of his less insane points.
The episode also checks Steam player count movement after Riven Tides, asks whether the update actually moved the needle, wonders where the rest of the 2026 ARC Raiders roadmap is, and then completely derails into “Where the F**k Are the Viewers From?” featuring Wellington, Australia, fake Windy City accusations, Earl Grey map snobbery, Peter Jackson confusion, and Nicky possibly being mistaken for an orc.
Also: robot vacuum betrayal, 100+ total Toxic Teacher podcast episodes, listener location shoutouts, and an outro genre called Durability-Stripped Mediterranean Rage-Step with Turbine Vortex Static.

ARC Patch 1.2.3, Player Count Panic, and the Toledo Lore Deep Dive
2026/04/17
ARC Raiders is still moving in the right direction, but Episode 18 asks the ugly question: is Flashpoint enough? Toxic breaks down patch 1.2.3, the small quality-of-life fixes, crafting frustration, trigger nade drama, Rocketeer sound nonsense, and why a game can be improving while still bleeding momentum. Then it gets worse: the Steam charts come out, the player count panic kicks in, and the show starts openly wondering what Arc Raiders becomes when the big streamers bail and only the true sewer rats remain.
Then the episode goes gloriously off the rails. Nicky declares the podcast “a criminal record with an RSS feed,” invents the Whistling Wind Effect, gets publicly corrected by Earl Grey, reveals his top five games, defends pickleball as tactical combat training, and explains why his ex did not key his car so much as “artistically ventilate” it.
The back half turns into a full lore dive, running from Victory Ridge and the false peace into the second wave, Toledo, Speranza, underground survival, and the bleak little rust-covered world Arc Raiders actually lives in. It ends, as all civilized things should, with the invention of a new musical genre: Six A.M. Subterranean Pickle Grind.

Flashpoint Chaos! Vaporizer Panic, Close Scrutiny, and Public Mugging
2026/04/08
Flashpoint finally hit, and Arc Raiders got meaner, louder, and way more interesting. Toxic breaks down the biggest changes in the update, including shredders spreading across the maps, the new Close Scrutiny mode, assessor drops turning matches into public mugging festivals, and the vaporizer: a flying laser bastard that has people arguing over whether it is exciting, overtuned, or flat-out demonic.
Nicky A.I. Dente spends the episode ranting like a tactical rat prophet, accusing Embark of economic warfare, stealing premium yogurt from headquarters, and insisting the whole thing is a setup designed to drag rats out into the light. Real Earl Grey also appears to give an actual vaporizer rundown like some kind of tea-powered military analyst.
The episode also gets into the bigger community tension around harder PvE, third-party chaos, solo pain, and the feeling that players are chewing through endgame content faster than Embark can feed them. Then the whole thing swerves into Ontario, where “Where the F**k Are the Viewers From” becomes the first cliffhanger in segment history after Nicky nearly loses his structural integrity in Fergus during a deranged Highland Games side quest.
Also included: Florida slander, rust-belt suffering, Swedish infiltration, hydrangea bush immolation, and the birth of a new outro genre: Scottish Highland Shredder Step.

ARC Raiders Flashpoint Update, Lightning Trial Chaos, and A Word from the Don
2026/03/24
ARC Raiders podcast fans, Episode 16 of Camping the Extract goes full Sweet 16 goblin mode. Toxic Teacher digs into the latest Flashpoint update talk, the rumored social hub, Ribbon Tides, the infamous lightning trial nonsense, and a long rant about what happens when extraction shooters start getting a little too civilized. On top of that, the episode veers into Embark-adjacent controversy, creator-program power imbalances, and whether ARC Raiders is getting nastier, meaner, and harder to rat in.
Then the show mutates into something even dumber and better: “A Word from the Don” arrives in Camping the Extract, with Nicky A.I. Dente giving cursed life advice to a Reddit guy who got mocked for crying at Better Call Saul. Somewhere in the middle, there’s anti-editing propaganda, random soundboard terrorism, and a new outro genre declaration: high voltage short circuit polka core. Normal people should leave now.

Arc Raiders lore deep dive part 2 is here. In Episode 15 of Camping the Extract, Toxic Teacher and Nicky A.I. Dente break down Arc Raiders patch 1.19, the late spawn debate, and why Marathon still isn’t hitting like it should. Then the episode goes fully off the rails with a deeper look at Arc Raiders lore: the ecological collapse, the Exodus, the rich abandoning Earth, the First Wave of ARC machines, Major Iva, Victory Ridge, and how Tion Wen fits into that whole ruined mess.
This is part history lesson, part rat doctrine, part deranged anti-corporate prophecy. Toxic tries to make sense of the actual game lore while Nicky invents new family members, fake spaceport crimes, orbital conspiracies, and enough battlefield trauma to fill an underground bunker. You also get arguments about whether late spawns are actually good, whether the ARC came from orbit, and what kind of grotesque industrial nightmare should soundtrack the episode’s outro.
If you like Arc Raiders lore, extraction shooter talk, chaotic podcast energy, and a co-host who sounds like he should be legally banned from a spaceport, this one’s for you.

Arc Raiders Logged Your DMs, Marathon Has Font Slop, and Nicky's Bayou Surgery
2026/03/10
This week on Camping the Extract, Toxic tears into the Arc Raiders Discord log disaster after it was discovered that private Discord DMs and authentication token data could be written into a local log file, then rips apart the response and why that kind of security failure should never have happened in the first place. Nicky reacts the only way he can: like a man whose entire digital social club just got left on the kitchen counter for every idiot on earth to steal.
Then the show turns its sights on Marathon, and the verdict is brutal. Toxic breaks down why the gunplay might be good, but the menus are a disaster, the onboarding is a mess, the loot readability sucks, the “font slop” is hideous, and a full seasonal wipe would be a straight-up player-killer. Nicky, naturally, declares war on the UI and calls the whole thing a digital hate crime against sauce.
After that, the podcast heads to New Iberia, Louisiana for “Where the F**k Are the Viewers From,” where Fake Earl Grey gives the city the swamp-fog treatment and Nicky spins a deranged bayou story involving Cajun Carmine, fake appendicitis, a glowing beacon in his side, server blades, giant mosquitoes, and a goddamn surgical self-repossession job. It is one of the dumbest and funniest late-episode spirals this show has done in a while.
If you like Arc Raiders, extraction shooter chaos, anti-b******t rants, and Nicky Dente screaming about privacy breaches, seasonal wipes, and bayou betrayal, this one’s for you.
ARC Raiders vs Marathon - Why Bungie's Game Won't Kill the Extract
2026/03/03
Episode 13 of Camping the Extract breaks down the latest ARC Raiders Shrouded Sky patch notes -- including controversial weapon nerfs to the Stitcher and Kettle, new ARC part crafting requirements pushing everyone into PVE, and new enemies the Comet and Firefly. Then Toxic and Nicky dive headfirst into Bungie's Marathon, the extraction shooter that some people think will kill ARC Raiders (it absolutely will not). Marathon's server slam just dropped, the UI has been called "the first ever font slop in a game," and the build complexity makes ARC Raiders look like a children's coloring book. Nicky infiltrates Bungie HQ on a consulting gig and discovers suspicious marinara in the lobby. Plus: a German listener named Tobias uses this podcast as a lullaby, the "Where the F**k Are the Viewers From" segment discovers St. Helier in the Channel Islands, and Nicky gets served a mysterious subpoena by a stranger who vanishes into the fog. The outro genre is First Person Font Slop Industrial Panic Core with Subpoena Paper Cut Distortion and Jersey Cowbell Overdrive. Toxic's Jams from the Extract Volume 1 drops on Spotify this week.
Hosted by The Toxic Teacher and Nicky A.I. Dente. Guest appearance by Fake Earl Grey. Satan Hot Sauce Robinson also stops by, because of course he does.

I Killed Earl Grey in ARC Raiders | Hurricane Update + 20% Player Drop | Steam Charts Deep Dive
2026/02/24
Welcome to Episode 12 of Camping the Extract, the ARC Raiders podcast where the host camps extraction zones and the AI co-host camps reality itself.
This week Toxic drops a bombshell: he encountered Earl Grey -- the infamous Tea Tyrant, caffeinated scallywag, and arch-nemesis of the Denteverse -- on an actual ARC Raiders stream. And killed him. The clip exists. Nicky reacts exactly the way you'd expect, which is to say he immediately starts planning a verbal ambush podcast appearance for Earl Grey that would make a Sicilian interrogation look civil.
In actual ARC Raiders news, Embark has announced Hurricane map conditions for Shrouded Sky dropping February 24th. Wind will affect movement speed and stamina drain, throwable trajectories will be altered by gusts, and reduced visibility plus muffled audio will make the game a paranoid nightmare. Nicky is not pleased about any of this. His noodle arms and rat playstyle were not designed for meteorological warfare.
The big story though: ARC Raiders has lost roughly 20% of its average Steam player base in February, dropping from 241K to 191K. Toxic breaks down the full trajectory from the November 2024 launch peak of 264K, the December dip, the January recovery, and now this sharper decline. Is it a problem? Is Marathon going to steal the rest? Will the podcast survive? Nicky doesn't care. He'll camp an empty server if he has to.

Shared Watch is Socialism and Pickleball Almost Killed Me | Patch 1.15.0 Reaction + Lore Deep Dive Pt. 2
2026/02/17
Episode 11 of Camping the Extract drops on Valentine's Day and immediately descends into chaos. Embark released Patch 1.15.0 with their new Shared Watch event, and it is exactly what we feared: a soft PVE mode disguised as a holiday. Merits for killing ARC, nothing for killing other players. It is socialism in the apocalypse and we are not having it.
Nicky A.I. Dente kicks things off with a Valentine's Day rant about his ex Big Martha, a disastrous road trip to Valentine Nebraska, and some deeply concerning stories about Cherry County. The Toxic Teacher reveals he broke his finger playing pickleball with 70-year-olds and 10-year-olds, and Nicky responds with a tale about destroying a Guitar Hero fretboard in an underground killer league on Arthur Avenue.
Part 2 of the ARC Raiders Lore Deep Dive covers the class-based Exodus, the Jangsu Romania corporation, and Nicky's ancestor "Nicky the Rivet" selling fake spaceship tickets to desperate civilians. Nicky also claims the ARC are based on Italian-American aggression phenotypes, which tracks.
Where the F**k Are the Viewers From shouts out Columbia, Missouri and listeners Pops Hagan and Mikey (do NOT call him Mikey). Nicky tells a never-ending story about an unauthorized server farm in a Missouri diner, heavy-set Brenda, and a tire iron incident that may or may not have involved the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Also featured: new ARC Raiders News theme songs, a Bohemian Rhapsody cover made from a Spotify comment by a guy named Ben who called the show trash, and an outro genre called Midwestern Slinger Trash Industrial Polka.
Topics: ARC Raiders Shared Watch event, Patch 1.15.0 breakdown, ARC Raiders PVE vs PVP, ARC Raiders lore deep dive, extraction shooter podcast, pickleball injury, Valentine's Day gaming podcast

Arc Raiders Cheater Bans, Lore Deep Dive Chaos, Machine Betrayal & Rat Gameplay Meltdown
2026/02/10
Episode 10 of Camping the Extract officially puts us in double digits, and we celebrate by immediately losing control of reality.
Toxic breaks down Arc Raiders anti-cheat drama, Steam account sharing bans, and whether innocent players should get nuked because their cousin is a cheating goblin. Then things spiral into a fake “lore deep dive” that never quite happens, a live-action rat survival thriller, and a full-on digital betrayal by a machine turret that apparently has loyalty issues.
Nicky “Noodle Arms” Dente faces his greatest enemy yet: friendly squads, rotating robot eyes, and his own bloodline turning on him. Meanwhile, Toxic begs him to flee to romantic Italian music, promises lore that may never arrive, and admits this episode might be structurally cursed.
We close with the official outro genre reveal: Italian Disco Doom Metal, because nothing else could possibly fit this disaster.
Topics include:Arc Raiders cheating bansSteam Family Sharing punishmentRat gameplay tacticsMachine AI betrayalFailed lore deep divesDigital paranoiaItalian panic musicOutro genre insanity
