Description
His House is a podcast for mothers in the thick of real life — the loud, lived-in, beautiful-mess years. It’s a space to breathe, to feel grounded again, and to remember that these ordinary days are more sacred than they seem and that this phase isn't a pause from connecting with Jesus but an invitation to be closer to Him than ever before. If you’re longing for awe, purpose, and a deeper sense of spirituality in your everyday rhythms… welcome to His House, where motherhood meets Jesus.

The Power of Surrender: Letting Go Without Giving Up with Amanda Wood
2026/10/22
In this episode, I sit down with Amanda Wood to talk about the power of surrendering our will to God, especially when life looks nothing like we thought it would. Amanda shares her journey through infertility, failed adoptions, and the heartbreak of having to say goodbye to a little boy she loved as her own.
We talk about what it looks like to keep praying for miracles while trusting God when things don't turn out the way we hoped. Amanda shares some really beautiful insights about surrender, grief, and learning to trust God's heart even when we don't understand His plan. We also talk about what this looks like in our everyday motherhood, when things feel hard, plans fall apart, and we have to let go of the way we thought things were supposed to be.
I hope this conversation reminds you that surrender doesn't mean giving up on the things you want. We can keep praying, keep hoping, and keep moving forward while trusting Jesus with the things we can't control.
Life Lately: Conference Invitations + Fall Favorites
2026/10/08
A little catch-up episode! I’m sharing some life updates, including how inducing lactation is going, what I’m dreaming about for the future of His House, and some thoughts on potentially taking on a few collaborations so I can invest in growing the podcast.
Then we’re talking about the very real struggle of trying to have a meaningful Conference weekend with little kids, President Oaks’ invitation to believe the promises of the Book of Mormon, and a few fall favorites I’m currently loving. Basically, a little bit of everything—and a very honest look at life lately.
Here are the links to the things I mentioned!

The Power of Music & Pursuing Your Gifts with Kenna Childs
2026/09/25
In this episode, I’m talking with my friend Kenna Childs, a mom of two little girls with another baby on the way and a gifted musician who has written and recorded beautiful worship music—including her song Oceans, which has over a million listens.
We’re talking about the power of music to bring the Spirit into our homes, teach our children about Jesus, and put truths into their hearts that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. We also talk about something I think so many mothers wrestle with: what it looks like to develop the gifts God has given us while also giving so much of ourselves to motherhood.
Kenna shares honestly about the tension of pursuing music in this season, learning when to make space for her gifts and when to let motherhood take priority, and how creating music has ultimately brought her closer to the Savior. We talk about finding the gifts God has already placed in us, using them to bless our families, and creating homes where our children can feel the love of Jesus.

Creating an Intentional Family with Emily Hilton
2026/09/10
In this episode, I’m talking with my friend Emily Hilton, a mom of four under five (including two-year-old twins!), about creating family values and building a family life with intention.
We talk about sitting down as a couple and deciding what you want your family to be known for, how those values can shape the way you raise your kids now and in the years to come, and how they can help guide the way you spend your time, money, and energy. We also talk about keeping your marriage a priority in the middle of motherhood, continuing to date your spouse, weekly planning, budgeting, and the little things that help you build the kind of family life you actually want.
Emily shares so much wisdom on being intentional without making family life feel complicated—and on building a beautiful life in the middle of the chaos.

The Way of Heaven: Rethinking Ministering in Motherhood with Carly Dowdle
2026/08/20
In this episode, my friend Carly Dowdle and I talk honestly about what ministering actually looks like in the thick of motherhood. How do we minister when we have little kids, limited time, and barely enough mental space to remember what we had for breakfast? How do we know what to do when ministering feels vague? And how do we love and serve people without turning relationships into another checklist?
We talk about making ministering feel natural, connecting with people who are different from us, recognizing spiritual promptings, knowing when we're doing enough, and learning to see the women around us the way the Savior does. We also share the beautiful ways ministering has blessed both of our lives.
Drawing from Kristin Yee's April 2026 message on ministering, this conversation is a reminder that sometimes ministering is simply noticing, reaching out, and letting God love someone through us. In the end, it's the effort and the sacrifice that transform us and bring miracles into our lives.

Life Lately: What I’m Loving + Learning
2026/08/06
This episode is a little bit of everything—basically a catch-up on all the random things I’ve been thinking about, loving, doing, and learning lately.
Talking about our big pregnancy announcement (!!!!), our recent trip to Nauvoo, and one of the biggest things I brought home with me: a completely different perspective on the law of consecration and what it actually means to become more like Christ. Then we’re getting into some of my favorite things lately—from scripture insights and family routines to easy meals, working out, date nights, kid outings, things I’m listening to, and a few things I’ve recently bought and loved.
Hopefully it feels like we're sitting on my old gingham couch together chatting about life lately and all the things currently taking up space in my brain.
Seeking Revelation to Bless Our Families with Karli Brown
2026/07/23
As moms, we spend so much time trying to figure out what's best for our children. We read the books, listen to the podcasts, ask our friends, and search the internet—hoping someone has the answer we're looking for.
In this episode, my friend Karli Kidd Brown shares the story of her son Beckham's first year. From a cleft palate diagnosis during pregnancy, to a premature birth, a long NICU stay, surgeries, and months of G-tube feedings and scary reflux episodes, she found herself in a season where she needed more than advice—she needed God.
This conversation isn't about having all the answers. It's about learning that our Heavenly Father knows our children perfectly and wants to help us care for them. Karli shares how she learned to recognize His guidance through some of the hardest moments of motherhood, and why seeking Him first has changed the way she mothers.
Whether you're facing a major trial or simply wondering how to best love the children God has entrusted to you, I hope this episode reminds you that He is willing to guide you, one step at a time.

Genesis 17 is the chapter I mentioned when God says "I will" multiple times and demonstrates that He is pulling the weight in our covenants.
Raising Kids to Love God's Word with Megan Belle Freeman Lund
2026/07/09
In this episode, I'm joined by Megan Belle Freeman Lund to talk about creating a home where the scriptures are more than another item on the checklist—they become a natural part of everyday life. Megan shares the traditions that shaped her own love for God's Word, how those experiences influence her motherhood today, and the simple rhythms she uses to introduce her two toddlers to Jesus.
From daily "Jesus time" with hands-on activities to embracing imperfect, grace-filled rhythms, this conversation is full of encouragement for moms in the thick of little-kid life. We talk about strategies for making scripture study approachable for young children, following their questions, building meaningful habits over time, and trusting that God can do something powerful with our small, imperfect efforts.
If you've ever felt discouraged by short attention spans, missed days, or just the chaos of life, this conversation is a reminder that teaching children to love God's Word doesn't happen all at once. It happens through consistent, ordinary moments of faith—one story, one question, and one day at a time.

Stewarding a Home with Kynlee Hubbard
2026/06/25
This week I'm talking with professional organizer and cleaner, Kynlee Hubbard, about moving from a mindset of perfection in the home to one of stewardship—seeing our homes not as spaces that exist to impress others, but as places we've been invited to cultivate with love, intention, and grace.
From Monday cleans and ten-minute tidies to involving toddlers in housework and learning to be interruptible, this conversation is full of practical ideas and gentle reminders that our homes don't have to look like no one lives there to be places of peace.
If you've ever felt like you're failing because you can't keep up, I hope this episode helps you breathe a little deeper and remember that Jesus is with us in the ordinary work of caring for our people and our homes.

Modesty, Finding Your Personal Style, and Divine Identity with Kennadee Limon
2026/06/11
In this episode, I sit down with Kennadee Limón to talk about divine identity, personal style, modesty, and what it means to show up as your best self in this season of life.
Kennadee shares her journey with Jesus, her struggles with perfectionism, and the powerful lesson that her worth comes from being a daughter of God—not from what she accomplishes. We discuss why individuality matters to God, how getting dressed each day can be a simple act of self-care, and practical tips for finding a personal style that helps you feel confident and like yourself again.
Motherhood can make it easy to lose sight of who you are beneath the endless needs, routines, and responsibilities. And this conversation is about so much more than clothes..it's a reminder that trends come and go, but your divine identity never changes—and that being a mom is a role worth showing up for.

A Mother’s Love and the Savior’s Love: Lessons from Surrogacy with Myndie Tullis
2026/06/04
You've heard this story through my eyes, but in this episode, you're hearing it from my mom's.
After the complications that led to my emergency hysterectomy, my mom felt an unexpected impression while sitting by my hospital bed. As I was waking up from surgery, she voiced an impression that would change both of our lives: "You know I'll have your baby, right?"
In this conversation on His House, my mom, Myndie Tullis, shares what happened next—from the spiritual promptings and confirmations that led her to become my gestational carrier to the lessons she learned about faith, motherhood, and trusting God through the unexpected.
She opens up about those difficult weeks in the hospital through a mother's eyes, the experiences that gave her confidence she was on the right path, and how the journey deepened her understanding of Jesus Christ. We also talk about how God prepares us for mountains we don't yet see coming, the power available through covenants, and why a mother's love can teach us so much about the Savior's love for us.
We also discuss lessons from nearly three decades of motherhood, the encouragement she would give to her younger self, and why she believes moms are often doing far better than they think.
Whether you've followed our story from the beginning or are hearing parts of it for the first time, I hope this conversation reminds you that God prepares us for hard things, walks with us through them, and can turn even the most unexpected circumstances into something beautiful.
How Jesus Sustains Working Moms with Annie Eyring
2026/05/28
In this episode of His House, Annie Eyring shares what life really looks like as a working mom raising three kids while supporting her family through her photography business during her husband's years in medical school. Together we talk about the pressure many women feel to do everything well, the guilt that can come from balancing motherhood and meaningful work, and how Jesus meets us in seasons that feel exhausting and overwhelming.
Annie opens up about late nights editing after bedtime, learning to slow down instead of living in constant urgency, and the quiet ways God has strengthened and provided for her family over the years. This conversation is for the mom who feels stretched thin, stuck in survival mode, or wondering if she’s falling short spiritually.
I'm hopeful this conversation can be a gentle reminder that God isn’t asking for perfection—He’s asking us to let Him walk with us through it.

Raising Compassionate Kids in a Divided World with Whitley Keleman
2026/05/21
This week on His House, I'm joined by Whitley Keleman—a mother, professor, podcast host, and one of those people who makes you want to see the world more like Jesus does.
From teaching a class on inclusion and belonging at BYU to creating her "Sit With Me" gatherings and podcast, Whitley has spent years intentionally listening to people’s stories, building bridges across differences, and helping others feel seen. Together with her husband and three kids, she’s also chosen a life of proximity—living abroad, immersing themselves in different cultures, and raising children to see and love people deeply.
In this conversation, we talk about raising compassionate kids, creating a home where people belong, what living abroad has taught their family about joy and empathy, and how hearing people’s stories changes the way we see both others and God.
This episode is a reminder that Christlike love often looks like slowing down, listening longer, inviting people in, and allowing ourselves to be changed by proximity to others.
If you’ve ever wondered how to raise compassionate kids, create meaningful community, or better see people the way God does—this conversation is for you.
The Art of Documenting Motherhood with Ashley Teresa
2026/05/07
In this episode of His House, I sit down with motherhood and film photographer Ashley Teresa to talk about seeing and capturing the beauty of the mundane moments of daily life. Ashley’s work captures motherhood in a way that feels deeply nostalgic, honest, and sacred—reminding us that the quiet moments we often overlook may actually be the ones worth remembering most.
We talk about how film photography has taught her to slow down and become more present, how documenting everyday life can help us honor what God is giving us right now, and why the mundane moments of motherhood carry so much meaning. This conversation is an invitation to see your life differently — to notice the beauty already surrounding you, experience God in the ordinary, and embrace the life you’re living right now as the beautiful one.
Whether you’re a mom in the thick of repetitive days, someone longing to be more present, or simply craving a slower and more intentional way of living, this episode will leave you inspired to notice, document, and cherish the sacredness woven into everyday life.
If you loved this episode, you can find information about Ashley's new motherhood course on her substack. Her course,What We Keep, is designed for mothers looking to document their children's lives and their motherhood more intentionally.

2026/04/30
In this episode of His House, I sit down with my friend Sydney Holmes to talk about miscarriage, stillbirth, and the sacred, complicated grief that follows the loss of a baby.
Sydney shares her journey through multiple losses, delivering her son Mack, and the emotional and spiritual road that led her to pursue surrogacy. She opens up about what grief actually feels like, the wrestle with God, and the ways Jesus met her in hospital rooms, quiet prayers, and the unknown.
We also talk about how to show up for someone walking through loss—what helps, what hurts, and what it really looks like to mourn with those who mourn.
This conversation is for anyone who has experienced pregnancy or infant loss, anyone navigating a story that looks different than they hoped, and anyone who wants to learn how to love people well in their grief.
