Description

Two years ago, I went to Bali. Spoiler alert: I didn't really like it. It's too touristy for my taste. One of the moments I enjoyed most was the sunrise on Mount Batur. It was really great! I was able to book this activity online on a specialized website. But there's one activity that made me raise an eyebrow: a tour of the island's Instagrammable spots! What the f**k?! But where have the encounters gone? The human connections? Traveling isn't just about standing in line to take a photo of an Instagrammable place that everyone has already done. I find this vision sad and reductive, but it reflects the world we unfortunately live in. Through this podcast, I'd like to take the opposite approach: take the time to create connections, discover the wonders of this world. Hi, I'm Tiffany and I'm taking you on a journey to discover the cultures of the world through women's eyes. What? You still haven't noticed that we live in a world imagined, created and run by white men?! Really? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Reda is a journalist specialising in culture and fashion, and she works for Elle Lituania. I got to know her thanks to a reel on Instagram. She was looking to discover new artists. We got in touch, had a chat, and I invited her onto my podcast. In this episode, she talks to us about life in Lithuania and shares her views on the changing role of women in society, as well as the impact of long periods of study on the country’s demographic trends. A fascinating topic! Enjoy the episode! The story behind this podcast by Tiffany
2025/12/14
Before embarking on a trip, introductions are in order! In this episode, I'll introduce myself and share key moments in my life that have shaped the woman I am today. I started with several observations: Travel has become a checklistWe no longer take the time to connect with othersSince the advent of social media, we've never been so alone, even though we feel connected to the entire world I want to challenge all of this. Going back to basics: Taking the time to build relationshipsListening, learning, and being inspired by each other's life stories Enjoy!
