Advertise on podcast: Don’t You Know Who She Is | Virginia Giuffre Survived Epstein — But Australia Failed Her

Breakups are messy. But most don’t involve a billionaire tech founder, a sex trafficker… and  Jeffrey Epstein. Before the courtrooms and the sex trafficking headlines, Ghislaine Maxwell was in a serious relationship with Ted Waitt — the billionaire founder of Gateway computers. Over the course of seven years, she spent time in California, New York, Florida and the Carribean with the man who was many times richer than Epstein. Hello and welcome. My name is Lisa Tait and I’m a journalist who has been following the Epstein story since 2019. Thank you for listening to my show The Receipts.  Ghislaine Maxwell and Ted Waitt became entangled in 2003. I can imagine she was thinking she was living the dream. At the time, he was one of the richest tech entrepreneurs in the United States, part of the wave of personal computing wealth that produced enormous fortunes in the 1990s. Today I’m going to take you through Ted and Ghislaine’s emails from the Epstein files. They show a couple navigating love, lifestyle, and eventually, two very complicated splits, six years apart.
