Description

Does it feel like you are stuck on a hampster wheel, unable to jump off... slow down... and really enjoy being in the present moment of life? Does life seem to get away from you and you're not spending as much time as you'd like on what truly matters? Do you wish to reach that place of being able to stop... breathe... and your brain just feels at peace? Countless interviews of people nearing the end of their life... the one thing that people repeated throughout the answers was that they regretted not using the precious time God gifted them on what truly mattered.  Hi, my name is Dawn Shurley, a certified Christian Life Coach, and I am passionate about helping Christian women create life rhythms, aligned with God's Kingdom...  for a life filled with clarity, peace, and purpose and that will leave a road map for the future generations. This podcast is an invitation to slow down, seek first the Kingdom, and realign your life with God’s order—not striving, not chaos, but Spirit-led simplicity. Through biblical teaching, practical rhythms, and gentle conviction, we explore three core pillars: Kingdom Clarity Understanding God’s Kingdom order, learning to seek Him first, our Identity in Christ, cultivating a daily devotional life, and inviting God into our homes, decisions, work, relationships, and inner world.  Peace & Presence Creating space by decluttering our lives, reducing overwhelm and decision fatigue, and practicing presence that supports nervous system regulation. Purpose & Contribution Living a life that glorifies God through the unseen labor of a woman, serving, and contributing from overflow—not pressure—so our lives become a testimony of His goodness. So, if you are looking to start living a life of predictability, consistency, and efficiency... that allows your brain to relax, Life Rhythms for Peace is your new go-go podcast. It will help you get clarity, peace, and purpose by partnering with God and learning how to bring those predictable rhythms into every area of life and create space to focus and be present for what really matters.  In this "busy" world... let's leave a roadmap and legacy, sealed by God, for future generations.  Contact Information for Setting Up a Life Coaching Discovery Call: [email protected] Love,  Dawn Shurley

33 | Conversations With God: Hearing God’s Answer to Your Why
2026/09/07
Have you ever looked at a situation in your life and simply asked God, “Why?” Maybe you’ve been praying, waiting, and wondering why something hasn’t changed yet. Maybe you’re frustrated because you know God could step in and fix it…but He hasn’t. Yet. In this episode of Faith-Led Life, I’m sharing what happened during one of my own “Why?” and “Wait” seasons…and the incredibly personal way God reminded me that He is listening. Through Isaiah 55, Habakkuk, and Romans 5, we’ll talk about what it looks like to trust God’s character when we don’t understand His timing, stay obedient when we can’t see the vision unfolding, remain faithful when God’s ways don’t make sense to us, and hold onto hope when the answer seems slow. I’ll share a story involving a rainbow, a very specific nudge from God, a church flyer that showed up unexpectedly, and a Sunday sermon on Habakkuk that felt like a triple-whammy answer to a prayer I had been bringing to God. It reminded me of something I never want to forget: God is present. God is personal. And when we turn to Him for answers, He does answer. But we also have to be ready for His answer—because His answer may not always be the one we expected. If you’re currently in a season of waiting, wondering, praying, persevering, or asking God “Why?”, I hope this episode encourages you to zoom out from the details, trust God’s character, and keep walking in faith. Because sometimes the answer isn’t “It’s not happening.” Sometimes it’s “Wait. I gave you the vision. Stay faithful. I’m still working.”   Thank you for tuning in. ♥️   If you are interested in buying or selling in the Greater Tampa Bay area… I would love to help you with your real estate needs. 32 | When I Turn to Something Tangible Instead of God
2026/08/24
Have you ever noticed how quickly fear can pull your attention toward something tangible? In this episode of Faith Led Life, we gets honest about recognizing this in my heart and exploring what the Bible says about idols, fear, and putting God first. Drawing from Ezekiel 14:3, we’ll talk about how an idol doesn’t always look like something we physically worship. Sometimes it’s a person, money, a relationship, success, or something else we begin turning toward for security, comfort, or reassurance instead of turning to God. I share five questions to help you recognize when something may be taking up space in your heart that belongs to God, and the simple process of turning back to God when you notice it. Because God isn’t trying to take good things away from us. He’s freeing us from asking good things to give us what only He can give us. When fear pulls you toward something tangible, where does your heart run? Trust His character instead of the details. Contact me at: 📞815-979-5333 📧 [email protected] Love, Dawn Shurley
31 | Stewarding Your Gifts Well and Leaving the Outcome to God
2026/08/10
Have you ever looked at what someone else is doing and suddenly started questioning whether you’re doing enough? Maybe you’re faithfully nurturing something God placed in your hands, but then you see someone else’s success, growth, opportunity, or calling—and suddenly you’re tempted to change direction. In this episode of Faith-led Life, we’re talking about the danger of becoming distracted by someone else’s assignment when God has already given you one of your own. Through Scripture, personal experience, and my years in furniture sales, I share how I learned that just because someone else flourishes doing something one way doesn’t mean God has called you to do it the same way. Your gifts, your capacity, your assignment, and your season may look completely different—and that’s okay. We’ll explore three practical ways to stay focused on what God has placed in front of you: • Ask, “What has God already put in my hands?” • Identify your God-given gifts and build around them. • When you catch yourself looking sideways, turn your eyes back to Jesus. Because sometimes the bigger assignment we’re praying for isn’t unlocked by doing more—it’s unlocked by faithfully stewarding what we already have. You may have one talent. You may have two. You may have many. You don't need someone else's gifts, timeline, or results. You need to faithfully steward what God has placed in your hands—and leave the growth and outcome to Him. As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 3:6–7, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” So if you’ve been distracted you, take a breath, turn your eyes back to Jesus, and ask: What is God asking me to be faithful to right now? Your unique gifts are needed in the world. Don't miss your beautiful assignment trying to imitate someone else's. ☕ Grab your coffee, settle in, and let's talk about what it means to live a Faith-led Life—trusting God's character instead of the details. Love, Dawn Shurley
30 | Anchoring Your Trust in God’s Character
2026/08/03
Why can it be hard to fully trust God when life doesn't make sense? In this episode of Faith-Led Life, we're exploring a simple but life-changing truth: trust isn't built by understanding every detail—it's built by knowing God's character. We'll talk about how trust naturally develops in healthy relationships, why our past wounds can make trusting God more difficult, and how spending time in His presence and His Word transforms our hearts. You'll also discover what the Bible really means when it says God is "jealous" and why His unchanging character gives us a firm foundation when life feels uncertain. If you've ever asked, "God, why is this happening?" this episode will encourage you to shift your focus from the questions you can't answer to the God you can always trust. In this episode you'll learn: Why trust grows from knowing someone's character. How past hurts can shape the way we view God. What God's jealousy reveals about His covenant love. How Proverbs 3:5–6 invites us to trust beyond our understanding. One practical step to grow in trusting God's character this week. No matter what you're facing today, you can rest in this truth: God's plans may be hidden, but His character is never uncertain. I'm so glad we get to grow in faith together.  Thank you for joining me on this journey! If you are looking to buy or sell a home in the Greater Tampa Bay area.. I'd love to help you!  I'm obsessed with helping my client's find their dream home to compliment their lifestyle or selling to move on to their next chapter. :-) Cell: 815-979-5333 Email: [email protected] Love, Dawn Shurley

28 | Why Does God’s Voice Seem Louder in Some Seasons Than Others?
2026/07/13
Have you ever wished God would just tell you—loud and clear—which way to go? Maybe you've prayed, "Lord, just show me the right decision. I don't want to make a mistake." In this episode of The Faith-Led Life, we explore the powerful promise of Psalm 32:8: "I will guide you along the best path for your life. I will advise you and watch over you." What if the seasons when God seems quieter aren't signs that He's distant—but signs that He's growing your faith? Together we'll unpack the difference between God's guidance and His advice, discover what it means to trust Him when He takes His hands off the handlebars, and learn practical ways to walk confidently, even when you don't have every answer. If you've ever wondered why God seems louder in some seasons than others, this episode will encourage you to stop chasing certainty and start resting in the unchanging character of your Heavenly Father. In this episode, you'll discover: Why "guiding" and "advising" are two different ways God leads us What Psalm 32:8 reveals about God's fatherly heart How to trust God when His direction feels less obvious Five practical ways to grow your faith during an "advising season" Why God's character is more dependable than your circumstances Key Scripture: Psalm 32:8 Whenever you're in an advising season, ask yourself these five questions: Does this reflect God's character? Is this my next faithful step? What has God already shown me? Have I sought His counsel? Will this help me grow in Christlike character? If this episode encouraged you, share it with a friend who may be walking through a season of waiting or uncertainty. And if you're enjoying The Faith-Led Life, leaving a review is one of the best ways to help more women discover the freedom of trusting God's character instead of needing all the details. If you’re buying or selling a home in the Greater Tampa Bay Area I’d love to help you on your journey! Cell: 815-979-5333 Love, Dawn Shurley
27 | Trusting God's Character Instead of the Details
2026/07/06
Formerly Confidence in Your Calling — same host, same biblical encouragement, now with a broader mission to help Christian women know God's character, trust His leading, and live a faith-led life. Have you ever known in your heart that God was calling you to do something, only to become overwhelmed by all the unanswered questions? In this episode of Faith-Led Life, we're talking about why trusting God's character is far more important than knowing every detail of His plan. If you've ever found yourself overthinking, waiting for more clarity, or letting fear keep you from taking the next step, this episode will encourage you to move forward in faith. You'll learn why God often reveals just enough for your next step, how fear grows when we focus on circumstances instead of God's unchanging character, and practical ways to renew your mind with Scripture so you can follow His lead with confidence and peace. In this episode, you'll discover: Why knowing God's character changes the way you face uncertainty. How overthinking and fear keep us from living a faith-led life. Practical steps to replace anxiety with biblical truth. How to take your next step in obedience—even when you don't have all the answers. Why God calls us to trust Him, not the details. I share a couple personal stories about stepping into the unknown, overcoming fear, and learning that God's faithfulness is experienced one step at a time—not by having the entire roadmap in advance. 26 | Faith Moves You Through Fear
2026/06/22
FAITH places fear under your feet and allows you to walk through the fear. There is a good chance you will feel fear the rest of your life. BUT GOD… today we will use David as an example of a mighty warrior for God… and he still felt fear. It’s what we choose to do in the presence of that fear that makes all the difference. We can let fear paralyze us into not moving forward… or we can put our belief, trust, and FAITH in GOD and walk hand in hand WITH GOD and not be afraid any longer… because of God and His Word… that promises to work all things out for the good of those who love Him. Today’s scripture focus: Psalm 56:3-4 Love, Dawn Shurley
25 | What Is My Purpose? Why Was I Created?
2026/06/15
I’m sure you’ve never wondered, “What’s my purpose? Why was I created?” …. So I’m pretty sure all of us have asked ourselves that at one point or another.  The Bible is pretty clear on why we were created… to reflect the image of God into this world. Because of sin that entered the world… we reflect that image through Jesus… through Jesus we can come to God… through Jesus we can see the image of God in the mirror instead of the broken and distorted glass that sin created in our lives. Thank you Jesus!  Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.   Scripture referenced: Genesis 1:27 John 4:19 John 14:6 Jeremiah 1:5   By growing in love with Jesus and seeking the Lord… we are healed over time or at times, instantly… the more we heal from sin… the more we reflect God into the world. We all have sin and we all are called to God. The only way to be restored is by answering that call. It’s not new age healing modalities… those may bring temporary and limited relief… Jesus is the true and everlasting deep soul healing. Be blessed! If you happen to be in the market to buy or sell a home in Florida… I am a Faith-led REALTOR® in Florida and fully enjoy real estate as my “tent-making” and serving others to help them into their next piece of paradise 🏡 🩵 Cell: 815-979-5333 email: [email protected] **Sorry, a snippet of the audio cut out as I am reverting back to on-the-go podcasting tools… I have a lot to share but tech seems to be a consistent barrier for me 😂**   Love, Dawn Shurley
24 | More Peace Anybody? - The Spiritual Practice of Pruning Your Home and Life
2026/05/25
What if our possessions in our homes are a slow... or fast leak in our cup of peace... and are distracting us from what matters most? In this episode of Confidence in Your Calling, I'll share a powerful spiritual metaphor about pruning plants and how it reflects the way we manage our possessions, priorities, and energy. Just as plants struggle to produce healthy fruit when nourishment is spread across dead or overcrowded branches, we can become overwhelmed by the constant maintenance of things that no longer serve our lives or our current season. Through biblical wisdom, practical reflection, and encouragement, this episode explores: How possessions can quietly consume our time and energy The connection between material possessions and internal peace Biblical teachings on pruning, simplicity, and fruitfulness Why God removes distractions so healthy growth can flourish How creating margin in your home creates space for connection, purpose, and rest Featuring reflections from: Ecclesiastes John Hebrews Luke If you’re feeling mentally overloaded... emotionally exhausted... or weighed down by “too much,” this episode will encourage you to slow down, simplify, and prayerfully prune what no longer bears good fruit. 23 | Trusting God Beyond Human Understanding- The Book of Job
2026/05/18
In this episode of Confidence in Your Calling, we dive into the Book of Job to explore the danger of forcing divine mystery into human logic. Why do we automatically assume suffering must be punishment? Why do we feel the need to explain every painful situation with predictable formulas? Through Job’s devastating losses, emotional wrestling, and conversations with his friends, this episode uncovers how human reasoning can sometimes distort our understanding of God. We will break down the tension between logic and faith… the assumptions made by Job’s friends… and the deeper message behind God’s response in Job 38–41. This conversation explores how suffering is not always a reflection of personal failure… why God cannot be reduced to human equations…  and how faith sometimes requires trusting God without receiving the answers we hoped for. If you’ve ever wrestled with confusion, grief, unanswered questions, or the pressure to “make sense” of your pain… this episode will encourage you to release the need for complete understanding and lean into humility, trust, and the mystery of God’s wisdom. Topics Discussed: The deeper meaning behind the story of Job Why suffering cannot always be explained logically The danger of reducing God to predictable formulas Job’s friends and the assumption that suffering equals punishment Elihu’s role in the conversation Trusting God beyond human understanding Faith, grief, confusion, and spiritual humility Proverbs 3:5 and surrendering human reasoning to God Scriptures Referenced: Book of Job Proverbs 3:5 Job 38–41 Love,   Dawn Shurley    Keywords: Book of Job explained, Christian podcast, faith during suffering, trusting God without answers, suffering and faith, biblical wisdom, Christian encouragement, Job and suffering, understanding God, spiritual growth, Christian women podcast, trusting God in difficult times, biblical perspective on suffering, faith beyond logic
22 | Set Apart: The Healing of a Daughter’s Heart
2026/05/11
In this week’s episode, we take a deep, healing look into 1 Peter 1:2 — and uncover how father wounds can quietly shape the way women relate to God as Father. Whether you grew up with a loving father… an emotionally absent father… an abusive father… or no father figure at all… wounds can still form in the hidden places of the heart. Those experiences can affect how we receive love & protection, depth of peace, and even the truth that God intentionally chose us. Together, we explore: • What it means to be “chosen” by God the Father • The deeper biblical meaning of “foreknowledge” as relational intimacy • How sanctification is both instant and ongoing • The difference between self-produced change and Holy Spirit transformation • Why striving exhausts us, but surrender heals us • How the Holy Spirit gently reveals wounds, heals triggers, and transforms us from the inside out • What it truly means to live in relationship with God — not as a distant visitor, but as His beloved daughter and bride (Don’t let that combo trip you up… it’s spiritual :) ) This episode is an invitation to stop striving for God’s love and begin resting in it. If you’ve ever struggled to fully believe you are chosen, deeply loved, protected, pursued, or worthy of peace… this episode is for you. So grab a cup of coffee, settle your heart, and join me as we marinate in the truth of God’s grace, healing, and presence through 1 Peter 1:2.   “God the Father chose you long ago…” — and that changes everything   Love, Dawn Shurley
21 | Do You Desire to Feel Joy Daily? Here is the KEY - You Already Have Access
2026/05/04
In this episode, we explore how shifting our perspective—by viewing life through the lens of Scripture... changes the way we experience life... and life's challenges. We will focus on rejoicing in all circumstances, not because life is always easy, but because of who God is and His unwavering love for us.  We will break this message into three key truths: 1. The Truth of God’s Character God is faithful, loving, and keeps His promises. Even when circumstances seem unclear, Scripture shows that He is always working with purpose and for our good. Because of His character, we can trust His guidance and rejoice... even in trials. 2. The Truth About Challenges Hardships are not meaningless. According to God’s Word, trials build endurance, strengthen character, and deepen hope. God actively works through all things—both good and difficult... for the benefit of those who love Him. 3. The Gift of Free Will We are given the choice in how we respond to life’s challenges. While it’s natural to feel frustration or pain, choosing trust, surrender, and even joy allows us to experience God’s peace and purpose more fully. I want to encourage you to embrace a mindset of surrender... trusting that God knows the outcome and is always working behind the scenes. By grounding ourselves daily in these truths, we can shift from resistance to rejoicing, even in the midst of trials. We close with a simple invitation: reflect on these truths each morning and observe how your perspective... and your week... begins to change. Love you, Dawn Shurley
20 | Why Do God's People Go Through So Many Trials? Being Refined in the Fire
2026/04/27
Do you want a fresh lens on fiery trials? In this episode, we dive into the Book of Daniel chapter 3 and the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who stood firm in their faith even when faced with the fiery furnace. What was meant to destroy them became the very place where God showed His power and presence. We reflect on how life’s “fires” refine us and strengthen our faith, our character, and exposes pride in order to draw us closer to God rather than away from Him. This episode invites you to see your trials through a new lens… not as punishment, but as purposeful refinement. Love, Dawn Shurley
19 | Prayer and God's Favor Makes All Things Possible - Nehemiah
2026/04/20
In this episode of Confidence In Your Calling, we will adventure into the powerful story of Nehemiah and what it teaches us about prayer, purpose, and perseverance in the face of opposition. Nehemiah had "made it".  He had position, comfort, and influence. But when he heard about the broken state of Jerusalem, he didn’t ignore it… he let it move him. Instead of rushing to fix things in his own strength, he began with prayer—deep, honest, surrendered prayer. From that foundation, God orchestrated everything: the timing, the favor, and the provision. This episode explores what it truly means to walk in step with God rather than relying on our own understanding. We will unpack how Nehemiah’s journey mirrors our own lives today...especially when we feel called to rebuild areas that are broken, whether it’s our peace, purpose, boundaries, or faith. You’ll be encouraged to: Pray first instead of reacting Trust God’s timing instead of forcing outcomes Stay focused when distractions and opposition arise Step out of comfort and into calling Keep building—even when it gets hard Because just like Nehemiah, when you commit to doing God’s will, opposition will come—but so will provision, protection, and purpose. If you’ve been feeling the weight of something broken in your life or sensing a calling you’ve been hesitant to step into, this episode is your reminder: don’t come down. Stay focused. Keep building. What feels impossible can be restored—with God. Grab your coffee, settle in, and let this message realign your heart. Love, Dawn
