10 | Christian Entrepreneurship: Burnt Out From Doing More Marketing? (+ Free Marketing Audit)
2026/10/11
Christian Entrepreneurship: Burnt Out From Doing More Marketing? (+ Free Marketing Audit) Are you a Christian entrepreneur, freelancer or small business owner feeling overwhelmed by social media marketing, content creation and the constant pressure to do more to grow your business? What if the problem isn't that you're doing too little marketing — but that the marketing you're already doing isn't working together? Before you start another marketing strategy, invest in new tools or add more tasks to your schedule, it's worth asking: Are you stewarding what you've already built? In this practical episode of The House of TL, we explore how biblical principles of stewardship, intentionality and building on a solid foundation can reshape the way we approach business and marketing. Rather than constantly chasing the next growth tactic, you'll learn how to use our free Connected Marketing Audit to examine your existing marketing activities, identify disconnected customer touchpoints and take the first step towards rebuilding a more sustainable marketing strategy. Whether you're a solo service provider, freelancer, consultant or small business owner selling physical products, this episode will help you approach marketing with greater clarity, purpose and consideration for your actual capacity. What You'll Learn Why doing more marketing isn't always the answer: Understand the difference between being busy with marketing and having a connected marketing strategy. Biblical stewardship in business: Explore how Scripture encourages us to examine the foundation of what we're building, rather than allowing income and growth to govern every decision. What a connected marketing ecosystem looks like: Understand how your content, website, enquiries, bookings, sales and customer relationships can work together. How to audit your marketing strategy: Use a simple five-step process to identify gaps without reviewing every part of your business at once. How to improve your customer journey: Find opportunities to connect, improve or simplify what already exists before adding another platform or tool. How to begin rebuilding sustainably: Choose one manageable improvement that serves your customers and fits your current time, budget and resources. The Free Connected Marketing Audit Download the FREE Connected Marketing Audit You don't need to rebuild your entire marketing strategy today. Start with one product or service and work through these five steps: Choose one offer — Focus on one service, package or product. List your existing touchpoints — Identify the marketing activities and customer interactions you already have. Map your customer journey — Discover → Consider → Buy/Book → Experience → Stay Connected. Identify one disconnected area — Find where customers lack a clear, helpful next step. Connect, improve or simplify — Make one intentional change before adding more. The goal isn't to create another overwhelming to-do list. It's to understand what you've built, recognise what needs attention and begin developing a marketing strategy that works together. Real Business Examples Discussed Service-based business — Pilates studio What happens after someone attends their first class? We explore how a simple, thoughtful follow-up could help connect the initial booking experience to an ongoing customer relationship. Product-based business — Ecommerce How can a popular product become the starting point for a more connected customer experience? We look at opportunities around product pages, post-purchase communication and relevant customer relationships. The Biblical Perspective: Stewardship Before Expansion In Matthew 7:24–27, Jesus teaches the importance of hearing and putting His words into practice, comparing this to building a house on rock. We also reflect on Nehemiah's rebuilding of Jerusalem's wall, including the importance of assessing the situation, planning and carrying out purposeful work. These passages aren't marketing formulas. They help us reflect on the deeper question of what governs the way we build. What if the answer isn't more marketing, but better stewardship of what you've already built? Building a sustainable business doesn't mean avoiding hard work, ambition or income. It means making intentional decisions without allowing constant pressure for growth to consume everything else we've been entrusted with. Who Is This Episode For? This episode is especially useful for: Christian entrepreneurs who want to apply biblical wisdom to business and marketing. Freelancers, consultants and solo service providers managing their own marketing. Small business owners feeling overwhelmed by content creation and multiple marketing channels. Product-based and ecommerce business owners wanting a more connected customer journey. Anyone seeking a practical approach to marketing that supports sustainable business growth. 9 | How Do You Keep Going When You’re Stuck Between Seasons?
2026/10/07
Hey, we’re currently building a free skill hub and community for God-led builders who want to build, market and steward their business differently. We want it to be a place where practical resources actually feel within reach — without always having to worry about the price tag. A place to connect with like-minded people, learn useful skills, and access strategies that aren’t rooted in hustle or pressure. If that sounds right up your alley, follow the podcast so you’ll be the first to know when The House goes live. Thanks, friend. We’ll see you inside The House soon. 🤍   What if you’re not actually stuck— you’re just in a transition season? If you’ve been feeling stuck in life, trying to figure out what comes next while your old season no longer feels like a fit, you’re not alone. Sometimes we know something is changing, but the next one hasn’t fully taken shape yet. Meanwhile, we still have work to do, bills to pay, people depending on us, and responsibilities we can’t simply put on pause. In this episode, I’m talking about what it looks like to navigate a transition season with God without trying to live two seasons at full capacity. I’ll share three practical ways to move forward with clarity: • Decide what actually deserves your attention. • Take it to God before you reorganize your life. • Get still enough to hear, then move. I’ll also walk through a simple Stop, Pause, Start exercise to help you identify what needs to stop, what may need to pause for now, and what you need to start in this season. We’ll talk about balancing work, family, faith, and the responsibilities God has entrusted to us—and why stewardship doesn’t mean giving everything equal attention. Sometimes finding clarity means recognizing what no longer needs to be carried right now. I’ll also share how prayer can become our first response instead of our last solution, and how getting still can help us hear God before making major changes. And because AI can be useful when we’re trying to organize our thoughts, I’ll show you how I use it as a tool to help point me toward Scripture—not as a replacement for the Holy Spirit, prayer, or the Bible. If you’re trying to figure out what to let go of, what to pause, or where to place your attention next, you may not need to know the next ten steps. You may simply need enough clarity to take the next one faithfully, boldly, and with God. 00:00 — When your old season no longer fits Feeling stuck, transitioning between seasons, and trying to keep functioning while everything is changing. 06:28 — Assess and communicate before you drop everything What to do when work, family, capacity, or spiritual health begin competing with one another. 09:04 — What actually deserves your attention? Stewardship doesn't mean giving everything equal attention. 10:00 — Take it to God before you reorganize your life Why prayer needs to become the first response rather than the last solution. 12:57 — The Stop, Pause, Start exercise A simple practice for identifying what needs to stop, what needs to pause, and what you need to start. 14:01 — Get still enough to hear, then move Samuel, Eli, and the importance of creating enough stillness to listen. 17:00 — Organize your responsibilities around your actual capacity Using your current season, responsibilities, capacity, income, and goals to bring clarity. 18:54 — AI is a tool, not the Holy Spirit How AI can help point you toward Scripture while keeping prayer and the Bible at the center. 20:00 — The EASY Bible study method Enter the story, Assess the main idea, Seek God and His character, and Yearn for heart change. 21:30 — When income starts governing everything Why work and income matter, but shouldn't automatically take the highest priority. 22:18 — Where does your work fit within what God entrusted to you? Looking at business, income, family, marriage, health, rest, and relationships as areas of stewardship. 23:00 — Steward the season you’re actually in A final encouragement to build what God has given you, market it well, and steward it even better.
8 | Christian Entrepreneurship: Your Business Needs Income, But Numbers Shouldn’t Lead How You Build
2026/09/13
YOUR NUMBERS ARE TELLING YOU SOMETHING: IMPROVE, CUT OR EXPAND You need income. Your business needs to make money. But that doesn't mean numbers should lead how you build. In this practical episode, we're looking at your business numbers differently—not simply asking, “How do I make more?” but using them to identify what might actually need your attention next. Because sometimes the answer isn't another offer, more clients, another marketing channel or a bigger team. Sometimes you need to improve what you already have. Sometimes you need to cut and simplify. And sometimes you've actually built the capacity to expand—but fear is keeping you small. We'll walk through all three using practical business examples alongside biblical principles from the widow's oil, Joseph's preparation for famine, Nehemiah rebuilding the wall and the way Jesus intentionally built with people around Him. We talk about client retention, customer journeys, hiring, transferable systems, marketing channels, business expenses, sustainable growth and learning how to steward what's already in your hands before constantly chasing the next outcome. If you're a Christian entrepreneur, freelancer, small business owner or simply trying to steward your income more wisely, use this episode as a practical audit of what you're building. TIMESTAMPS 00:20 — Why The House exists + free practical resources 01:45 — Why numbers matter—but shouldn't lead how you build 02:30 — IMPROVE: Do you actually need more clients? 04:15 — Finding leaks in your offer, delivery & customer journey 05:30 — The widow's oil: steward what's already in your hands 06:30 — CUT: When more isn't actually the answer 08:00 — Hiring, messy systems & cutting complexity 09:20 — Are you trying to market everywhere? 10:20 — Joseph: stewardship during seasons of abundance 11:30 — EXPAND: When fear is keeping your business small 13:00 — Nehemiah, Jesus & building with other people 14:20 — Your practical Improve, Cut or Expand audit 15:30 — Let numbers inform you, but let God lead you JOIN THE HOUSE — FREE The House is our free space for practical skill-building, Scripture-led business and marketing resources, and genuine community. 7 | LIVE CALL: From Debt to Multi-Six-Figure Entrepreneur 10 Years of Striving to Finally Surrendering with Lisa Stoops
2026/08/28
What happens when you spend years trying to build the life you want… only to realise God was never meant to be separate from the way you built it? In this episode, I sit down with my previous client, Lisa Stoops—a wife, mum and faith-driven entrepreneur who went from debt and working a full-time job to building a multi-six-figure online business. But this wasn’t an overnight success story. It took Lisa 10 years to finally leave her job. Along the way, she experimented with different business models, taught herself new skills, built a service business, learned Facebook Ads, navigated motherhood, experienced burnout and kept trying to figure out what would finally work. Then something shifted. Lisa began to realise that although God had always been part of her life, she had separated Him from the way she built her business. What followed was a journey of surrender—moving away from simply asking, “What can make money?” and learning to let God lead the way she built. We talk honestly about striving, fear, money, motherhood, learning practical skills, saying no to opportunities, and what it actually looks like to move when God hasn’t shown you the whole picture yet. IN THIS EPISODE 00:00 — From debt to a multi-six-figure business: Lisa’s story 05:30 — The 10-year journey to finally leaving her job 12:00 — Why a service business became her way out 15:00 — Teaching herself Facebook Ads & the candle business that took off 20:00 — When the business you prayed for starts burning you out 24:00 — Realising she had separated God from her business 29:00 — Surrendering the need to make money from every opportunity 33:00 — What changed when she stopped striving and started letting God lead 37:00 — Choosing a business model around freedom, purpose & strengths 41:00 — Moving before God gives you the whole picture 45:00 — Building with God when money is tight and the pressure is real BUILD YOUR UNSHAKEABLE MARKETING ECOSYSTEM Stop piecing your marketing together as you go. 6 | The Hidden Purpose Behind Your Business Struggles
2026/08/07
Success isn't just measured by what your business earns, it's also revealed in who you're becoming. What if God is using your business to shape your character just as much as your income? In this episode, we explore three powerful biblical examples, Joseph, the widow and the Proverbs 31 woman, to discover what different seasons of business reveal about our leadership, stewardship and faith. You'll learn: Why seasons of abundance test your stewardship as much as seasons of lack. What Joseph teaches about preparing before pressure comes. Why the widow's story reminds us to steward what God has already placed in our hands. How the Proverbs 31 woman reframes comparison, preparation and faithful growth. Practical ways to lead your business with wisdom, intentionality and trust in God. If you're a Christian entrepreneur, freelancer, small business owner, or someone seeking a more biblical approach to business, this episode will help you shift your perspective from chasing growth to becoming the kind of leader God can trust with greater responsibility. Because Scripture isn't just a collection of inspiring stories, it's a timeless blueprint for life, work and business. Whether you're experiencing growth, navigating financial pressure, or feeling behind in your current season, this conversation will encourage you to embrace biblical stewardship, honour the season you're in, and build with faithfulness instead of striving. Your business may not simply be asking you to grow. It may be teaching you how to become the person God is preparing to carry what comes next.

4 | Why Nothing Feels Fully Aligned In Your Business (Even Though You're Trying) | Faith-Based Business & Realignment with God
2026/03/03
Why does your business feel off — even though you’re praying, planning, and trying your best? In this powerful episode of When God Rebuilds You by The House of TL, we unpack a hard but freeing truth: misalignment doesn’t always mean you’re failing — sometimes it means you’re trying to build without fully surrendering. As Christian entrepreneurs and faith-led business owners, we often look for the perfect platform, the perfect mentor, or a “business in a box” solution that promises everything in one place. Marketing, branding, strategy, community, clarity — all packaged neatly. But what if that was never God’s design? What if the reason nothing feels fully aligned is because alignment was never meant to come from one person, one system, or one strategy — but from daily dependence on God? If you’re building, rebuilding, scaling, simplifying, or navigating uncertainty in your service-based or product-based business, this episode will help you realign your vision with biblical truth and practical obedience. In This Episode, We Talk About: Why God doesn’t reveal the full business plan at once The danger of putting your trust in platforms, mentors, or strategy over God Why overwhelm, anxiety, and burnout are often signs to realign — not try harder The difference between asking, seeking, and knocking (Matthew 7:7) Why fear causes overcomplication in business How to simplify your business God’s way Why comparison delays your calling Biblical foundations for faith-driven entrepreneurship What it means to steward your God-given skills Why nothing feels aligned when God is refining you Scripture Anchors in This Episode: Matthew 7:13–14 — The Narrow Gate Matthew 7:7 — Ask, Seek, Knock John 14:6 — Jesus as The Way Romans 12:6–8 — Different Gifts, Same Grace Jeremiah 1:19 — God Will Deliver You The 3 Practical Faith-Based Action Steps to Realign: Simplify – Fear causes overcomplication. Surrender your plans, timelines, and control back to God. Ask, Seek, Knock – Don’t stop at prayer. Pursue God with consistency and humility. Stop Copying – God may use people and platforms temporarily, but He alone holds the full map of your calling. If you’re a: Christian entrepreneur Freelancer wanting to build income God’s way Agency owner battling burnout Stay-at-home parent building online Kingdom business builder Faith-driven creative Service provider or product-based business owner Someone feeling spiritually and strategically misaligned This episode is your reminder: Ownership belongs to God.
