@ShotByOA sits down on the couch with us at the barbershop to talk all things music and life. we get into his platform Hazard Lights, his rap career and what's his biggest inspirations in music. We discuss Uber successful Hazard Lights YouTube channel. We discuss the origins on why and how it started. The pros and cons of what comes with the success of running a channel of this magnitude. We talk about how Drake and Soulja Boy were an early inspiration for him. As for Drake, it was his ability to sing and rap on the same song. It just blew his brains knowing that a person can do both. In his eyes, he's never seen anything like that before Drake. when it comes to Soulja Boy, it was a material value that gave some inspiration. More specifically, it was a completely iced out Lamborghini chain that was also a remote control toy car. Moreover, this foray into music led him into a chance meeting with a young up-and-coming rapper named @joeybadass . This relationship would have the 2 artists create music together. This was done during the Myspace days so, amazingly the 2 artists never met in person. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Chris Teel was an early childhood educator and a non-profit philanthropist. Running several initiatives, one being Movies In The Park. As a child growing up, Teel experienced what he calls the good kid, mad city syndrome many black kids live in urban cities. Having 2 uncles suffering from drug addiction in his home, it was no doubt very challenging at times. However, Teel had stronger influences in his life such as his grandfather who was the principal of his elementary school. Going to school everyday with his grandfather everyday kept close to his family and out of trouble, this, validating the good kid, mad city term. Teel managed to come out on top with a beautiful family, educating many black girls and boys, and engaging in numerous political and community agendas that helped all minorities reach their true potential. "Today we have Harlem's own, the one and only, K-Shine, come sit down on the couch for the Thanx4askin Podcast. We try to cover everything that needs to be addressed and more. Of course, we cover the obvious topics such as his strained relationship with DNA and URL, also known as The Ultimate Rap League. However, before getting into that, we had to talk about his early upbringing, influences, and what led him to become a battle rapper. We talk about what it was like being that his father was in and out of prison very early in his life and how that affected him. We go on to talk about his High school days as a battle rapper. We later go into all the wins and losses he faced in battle rapping; not many losses though. We discussed what drug dealing was like for him. This actually caused him to have several prison bids. Being tethered to the system was no doubt a struggle for him when it came to battle rapping. We cover this and so much more in this interview. This interview is a portrait of a man who has been tested time and time again and somehow always finds a way to not only survive but thrive in his situations."
