ATTEMPTED MURDER PODCAST — EPISODE 34
Some Don't Even Know They Have Kids
Another episode, another crime scene. This week on the Attempted Murder Podcast, we're opening a few suspicious files, shining a torch into the darker corners of sporting culture, and discovering that some people online have way too much time on their hands.
We investigate the drug culture lurking around the world of sport, where the line between performance, pressure and being a role model can be a little blurry. Then we turn our attention to the social media trolls who've been running their mouths from behind the safety of a keyboard. Consider this your formal notice: the evidence has been collected, the screenshots are on file, and the court of public opinion is now in session.
It's a case of sporting scandals, internet criminals and off-season dealings that may or may not stand up in court.
So lock the doors, silence your alibis and keep your fingerprints off the evidence. Episode 34 is here.
And as always, remember: everything is alleged until proven guilty… but we'll be the first to ask a few uncomfortable questions.
You've been warned. The boys are back on the case.
Couldn't Coach a mouse to eat cheese - Episode 33

Episode 33: Couldn't Coach a Mouse to Eat Cheese
The evidence is piling up, the suspects are looking nervous, and Adelaide’s AFL Trade Period investigation has hit a dead end.
This week on The Attempted Murder Podcast, we’re examining the crime scene that is the Crows’ lack of movement. With the trade period underway, the silence is deafening. No big moves, no real action, and plenty of questions that need answering. What’s going on behind closed doors? Is there a master plan, or have the Adelaide brains trust lost the plot?
Meanwhile, the footy journos are back in the interrogation room. We’re putting their reporting under the microscope as the rumour mill keeps churning out suspicious stories, convenient narratives and a few claims that look like they’ve been cooked up in the lab. Are these genuine leaks, or are some journos making up their own evidence and hoping the story sticks?

The Runners Wall - Episode 32
2026/10/05
ATTEMPTED MURDER – EPISODE 32
The Runners Wall - CASE FILE
The latest trade period has gone suspiciously quiet, and the evidence is mounting: very little movement, plenty of speculation, and not a whole lot of action. In Episode 32 of Attempted Murder, we examine the scene, question the witnesses and investigate the biggest crime of the week — the complete lack of movement in the trade market.
But that’s not the only case we’re reopening.
We also return to a particularly compelling piece of evidence: the moving speech delivered by the Crows CEO at the Club’s Best and Fairest. What was behind the words, what did they reveal about the club, and why did the moment leave such a lasting impression?
The files are reopened, the suspects are back in the frame, and the investigation continues.
Attempted Murder — where no football crime goes unsolved.
We need Mongrel - Episode 31
2026/09/28
Attempted Murder Podcast – Episode 31: We Need Mongrel
The case file is open. The evidence is mounting. And something is seriously missing at Adelaide.
In Episode 31 of Attempted Murder, we investigate the latest losses at the Adelaide Crows, with Butts and Pedler leaving the club and questions mounting about what happens next.
But this investigation goes deeper than departures.
We’re asking the uncomfortable question: what is actually missing from this football club?
The answer might be sitting right in front of us.
Mongrel.
That nasty, uncompromising edge. The refusal to lie down. The instinct to hunt when the game is slipping away. Because when Adelaide is five goals down, where is the flight? Where is the desperation? Where is the bloke who says, “Not today. Not on my watch.”
Other clubs seem to have it. Adelaide, right now, doesn’t.
So we dust off the crime scene, examine the evidence and ask the big question:
Can you build a successful football club without mongrel?
Or is this the one piece of evidence that finally cracks the case?
The Crows are under investigation. The charge sheet is growing. And the verdict is far from in.
The Grand Final Case File - Episode 30
2026/09/21
ATTEMPTED MURDER — EPISODE 31: THE GRAND FINAL CASE FILE
There’s not a Crow in sight… but make no mistake, there’s a serious crime about to go down.
For this very special Grand Final edition of Attempted Murder, we’re opening the case file on a blockbuster AFL showdown.
On one side of the investigation, the Brisbane Lions are hunting their second three-peat — a repeat offence of the highest order. Can they pull off the ultimate football heist and walk away with another premiership?
On the other, the Fremantle Dockers are chasing the one thing missing from their criminal record: their first-ever premiership flag.
After years of evidence, close calls and unfinished business, they're finally back at the scene of the crime.
And then there’s the jury…
Every Crow fan has a decision to make. Are you siding with the repeat offenders from Brisbane, or backing the Dockers in their bid to commit the ultimate premiership robbery?
Society needs to do better - Episode 29
2026/09/14
The season is officially a cold case.
This week on Attempted Murder, we dissect the evidence from the weekend — a devastating Crows loss that brought our season to a full stop. We investigate what went wrong, examine the crucial moments, and ask the question no fan wants to answer: who, or what, was responsible for this crime.
But the football field isn’t the only crime scene.
The trolls are becoming more vicious by the day, crossing lines that should never be crossed. And this week, our own team captain was the target of a particularly serious attack.
It’s time to call it out.
Because banter is one thing. Abuse, threats and personal attacks are something else entirely.
Society needs to do better.
The case file is open. The gloves are on and this week, there are some uncomfortable truths to investigate.
Brisbane, here we come - Episode 28
2026/09/08
Somehow, against all odds, the Adelaide Crows have made it to a semi-final.
Yes, you read that correctly. After everything we’ve been through, we’re heading to Brisbane — like it or not!
In Episode 28, we dissect the wash-up from a massive clash with the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval, look at the moments that got us over the line, and ask the important question: why does everyone seem so determined to derail our season?
The media have been on a wayward trail all week, doing their best to find cracks, stir the pot and sink the boot into our beloved Crows. But apparently, they picked the wrong week to mess with The Big Texan.
That’s right — Tex made a citizen’s arrest on a rogue journalist who tried to put the boot into our coach last week. And, thanks to some freshly lifted audio from the scene of the crime on the weekend, we’ve got the evidence!
Expect plenty of Crows passion, conspiracy theories, questionable analysis, laughs and the sort of semi-final optimism that only a group of Adelaide supporters who have somehow found themselves in this position can produce.

Brisbane. Here we come.
It's just an Arse Cheek - Episode 27
2026/08/31
The evidence is mounting, the suspects are identified, and the question remains…
Can we pull off our first finals victory in years — or will our season become another unsolved case?
Grab your magnifying glass, secure your seat and join us for another episode of Attempted Murder.
The investigation starts now.
The Finals are here again - Episode 26
2026/08/25
The final home-and-away hit-out is in the books, and this week on Attempted Murder, the evidence is pretty damning — Tex Walker was absolutely cooking!
Leroy and Ray are back in the interrogation room to examine Tex’s final regular-season performance, what makes him so bloody good when the heat is on, and whether the great man has more than one big case to solve.
But now the regular season is officially closed, the real investigation begins…
FINALS.
For the second year running, the Crows are heading into September, and the question is simple: can this case finally be closed with the ultimate piece of evidence — a Premiership?
We’ll break down where the Crows sit, who we’re likely to face, what has to go right, and whether this team has what it takes to survive the biggest crime scene of them all.
The evidence has been collected. The witnesses are ready. The finals file is officially OPEN.
Texordinary Selection - Episode 25
2026/08/15
The decision to leave Tex Walker out of the side was the call from the Crows coach — and after another costly loss, Leroy and Ray are asking whether the motivation the team needed was sitting right there on the sidelines.
Fresh off the crime scene against top-of-the-table Freo, the Crows have been left to pick through the evidence as Fremantle continue to look like serious contenders for their first-ever Premiership.
Was leaving Tex out the fatal error?
Did the selection call hand Freo the advantage?
And is Matthew Nicks about to find himself at the centre of the investigation?
Leroy and Ray sift through the evidence, interrogate the decision-making and examine exactly what went wrong at the scene.

The Greatest AFC 23 of all time - Episode 22
2026/07/27
Crime Scene Investigators have finally been granted access to Adelaide Oval after what can only be described as a Triple Homicide at the hands of the Magpies. The evidence is scattered everywhere, and this week we're dusting for fingerprints to work out exactly where the game was lost.
But the investigation starts well before the opening bounce. What crimes were committed before the siren even sounded? We'll examine the behavior of SOME (and we stress SOME) Adelaide supporters whose attempts to rattle the opposition may have crossed the line and ask whether it helped... or simply backfired.
Then the case file takes a more enjoyable turn as we assemble the Greatest Crows 23 of All Time. Who makes the squad? Who's unlucky to miss out? And which selections are guaranteed to cause a heated interrogation among the faithful?
The evidence is in. The witness statements have been collected. Now it's time to reopen the case.
Brotherhood - Episode 21
2026/07/20
This Week’s “Attempted Murder” – The Brotherhood
The case file is thick this week, folks. We open with a full forensic breakdown of the Crows’ takedown of the Swans — every clue, every move, every alibi examined. Then, we interrogate the controversial suspension of one of our key hitmen up forward, dissecting the evidence and questioning the tribunal’s verdict.
Next, we profile our next “persons of interest” — the Collingwood Magpies — and map out the game plan for the looming showdown. And just when you think the investigation’s wrapping up, Leroy drops a HUGE bombshell that may get him infront of more key witnesses in one foul swoop.
Lock the doors, dust for fingerprints, and join the gang as we crack open another week in the ongoing case of the Crows’ premiership hunt.
The Early Crow - Episode 20
2026/07/13
The case file has taken a dramatic turn...
The Adelaide Crows have left the Gold Coast crime scene with a convincing victory, and detectives Leroy & Ray are back in the interrogation room piecing together all the evidence.
Our prime suspect? Taylor Walker's 700th goal. The entire squad appeared convinced the milestone had already been met on Saturday night, with celebrations ready to go. But the veteran himself never bought into the false confession. Turns out Tex knew there was still one more piece of evidence to collect. The case remains open... with Goal No. 700 now under heavy surveillance.
We'll examine the witness statements from a dominant performance against the Suns, review the fingerprints left all over the contest, and ask whether this football club has officially become a serious premiership suspect.
Then we pack up the investigation files and head to Sydney, where another dangerous assignment awaits under Friday night lights. Can the Crows avoid becoming the victims, or will they leave another crime scene with four premiership points safely locked away in the evidence locker?
The investigation continues...
