Two girls, one haircut. Very different opinions. Join sisters Jessie and Kiki for a sarcastic, slightly judgy, and always funny conversation about whatever everyone else is talking about—pop culture, movies, shows, books, current events, family stories, and everything in between. They may look alike, but their opinions could not be more different. It’s like overhearing your sisters in the kitchen—unfiltered, chaotic, and brutally honest in the best way. Pull up a chair, grab a drink, and get comfortable—because if you’re here, you’re officially part of the family.

Behind the Pod | The Clancy Case: Nothing About This Makes Our Brains Happy
2026/10/02
You know how sometimes you start researching something because you want answers... and somehow end up with even more questions than you started with?
Welcome back to the Lindsay Clancy rabbit hole.
After wrapping our main episode, Kiki apparently decided she had not sufficiently tortured herself with this case and came prepared with an entire list of things that still do not make sense to her.
And Jessie, unfortunately, encouraged her.
This week on Behind the Pod, we're digging further into the unanswered questions, disputed evidence, internet theories, strange details, and contradictions surrounding the Lindsay and Patrick Clancy case — while repeatedly reminding ourselves that a weird detail is not the same thing as evidence.
We talk about everything from Patrick's behavior after the deaths and the questions surrounding the timeline to the DNA evidence, the medications, the infamous internet searches, the 60 Minutes interview, the “male voice,” and one particularly eerie comment Lindsay reportedly made from the hospital that stopped both of us in our tracks.
And somewhere along the way, Kiki realizes she may need to get off True Crime TikTok for her own mental health.
In this episode:
The Patrick Clancy details Kiki still cannot make sense ofThe internet's biggest theories — and which ones don't hold upWhat the actual DNA and fingerprint evidence does and doesn't tell usWhy grainy surveillance footage might have created an entire conspiracy theoryLindsay Clancy's psychiatric treatment and conflicting accounts of her mental stateThe disputed “male voice”The hospital comment that genuinely creeped us outWhy unanswered questions do not automatically equal guiltThe uncomfortable ethics of consuming true crimeWhy we keep coming back to the failures surrounding Lindsay's mental healthcareAnd the sentence every person in this case apparently needed to hear: Read the room.Because beneath all the theories, TikToks, courtroom clips, and internet detective work is a devastating story about three children, a family destroyed, and a woman who had repeatedly sought help before everything went horribly wrong.
And yes... we're officially banning Kiki from researching this case after midnight.
Probably.

Lindsay Clancy, Patrick Clancy & the 60 Minutes Interview We Can’t Stop Thinking About
2026/09/30
Have you ever watched one interview, thought, “Okay, now I understand,” and somehow ended up three hours later watching body-language experts, courtroom testimony, TikToks, conspiracy theories, and people arguing in the comments?
Yeah... us too.
This week, Jessie and Kiki are talking about the Lindsay Clancy case following Patrick Clancy’s recent 60 Minutes interview — and somehow, the more we watched, the more questions we had.
We start with the case itself: Lindsay Clancy, the deaths of her three children, her reported mental health struggles after childbirth, the postpartum psychosis defense, and the mistrial that left the case unresolved.
Then we get into the interview.
Patrick’s grief. His decision to forgive Lindsay. His new marriage. The pregnancy announcement. The things 60 Minutes asked — and the things we really wish they had asked. And, of course, the internet’s reaction to all of it.
But this conversation quickly becomes about something bigger: What is grief supposed to look like? How much should we judge someone’s behavior after unimaginable trauma? What does postpartum psychosis actually look like? And how easily can a few unanswered questions turn into an entire online conspiracy theory?
Because Kiki has a confession to make: she fell straight into the rabbit hole.
And now she has to eat a little crow.
In this episode:
The Lindsay Clancy case and September 2026 mistrialPatrick Clancy’s 60 Minutes interviewLindsay Clancy and the postpartum psychosis defenseThe questions we wish 60 Minutes had askedWhy Patrick Clancy’s behavior has become such a focus onlineGrief, trauma, memory, and why there is no “normal” reactionThe difference between asking legitimate questions and creating a conspiracy theoryHow True Crime TikTok can absolutely wreck your perception of a caseThe evidence, unanswered questions, and why Jessie keeps saying, “SHOW ME THE DATA”Plus: suspicious Google searches, survival fantasies, emergency purse supplies, sick cats, sick kids, and why apparently we are now “two judgmental bitches”Whether you’ve followed the Lindsay Clancy case from the beginning, just watched the 60 Minutes interview, or have absolutely no idea why your TikTok suddenly thinks you’re an amateur criminal investigator, come sit with us.
We’re not promising answers.
We do, however, have approximately 47 questions.

Behind the Pod | GLP-1: Too Skinny for Our Closets, Still Overweight on Paper
2026/09/25
Have you ever lost enough weight that literally nothing in your closet fits anymore… but according to the BMI chart you’re still just “overweight”?
Yeah... us too.
This week’s Behind the Pod starts with Jessie nearly throwing up from laughing after Professor Binky turns one unfortunate burp-snort into his own personal remix.
And somehow, it gets more chaotic from there.
After realizing four pairs of jeans no longer fit, Jessie and Kiki are talking about the very real problem nobody warns you about when you lose a significant amount of weight: you have absolutely no idea what size you are anymore.
Between the two of us — plus Dad — we’ve lost more than 250 pounds on GLP-1 medications, which means a lot has changed since the last time we talked about them.
So we’re getting into it.
We talk about the good, the bad, the expensive, and the deeply weird parts of GLP-1 life: changing sizes every five minutes, nausea, fatigue, skin sensitivity, acne showing up approximately 25 years late, finding the right dose, and realizing three people in the same family can have completely different experiences on the exact same type of medication.
Then there’s the other side of it: insurance companies changing coverage, people suddenly losing access to medication that helped them lose 70, 80, or 100+ pounds, and the bizarre amount of judgment people still seem to have about how somebody else loses weight.
Because apparently now we’ve moved from fat shaming to GLP-1 shaming.
Cool. Love that for society.
We also discuss the awkwardness of people noticing your weight loss, why Kiki's natural response to a compliment is apparently “please never speak to me again,” and the strange experience of looking at old pictures and realizing you genuinely forgot what you used to look like.
In this episode:
Losing more than 250 pounds between three family membersThe complete collapse of our wardrobesGLP-1 side effects nobody warned us aboutWhy different doses affect everyone differentlyWeight-loss compliments and why they make us deeply uncomfortableGLP-1 shamingInsurance companies making absolutely no senseThe stress of losing access to medicationMaintenance after major weight lossAnd Kiki officially becoming… just overweightProgress.
Whether you’re on a GLP-1, thinking about one, supporting someone who is, or simply wondering why your closet suddenly contains 47 things you technically own but cannot wear…
Welcome to the glamorous side of weight loss.
Apparently the reward for losing 100 pounds is buying all your clothes again.

Practical Magic 2, Hot Autumn & We're Basically Sports Commentators Now
2026/09/23
Have you ever tried to force yourself into a cozy fall mood while it’s still 90 degrees outside, only to accidentally spend $69 on a meditation app you forgot you signed up for?
Yeah... us too.
This week, we are doing what any emotionally stable adults would do: aggressively manifesting fall.
We’re kicking things off with a Fall This or That that immediately turns into arguments about Halloween vs. Thanksgiving, chili vs. soup, football, pumpkin spice, scary movies, oversized sweatshirts, and whether Practical Magic or Hocus Pocus deserves the ultimate fall crown.
Then we get into Practical Magic 2, which Jessie loved, Kiki found aggressively mediocre, and somehow still managed to make both of us want Sandra Bullock’s face, Nicole Kidman’s hair, and the entire Practical Magic house.
Speaking of that house... we have notes.
We also discuss the absolute lawlessness of movie theaters, people who cough directly into the atmosphere, why Kiki is apparently willing to fight strangers during a movie, and the fact that Jessie managed to miss the funniest scene in Practical Magic 2 because she had to pee.
Then things get slightly more existential.
Kiki explains why September gives her a very specific sense of impending doom, Jessie basically says, “That sounds made up,” and Professor Binky attempts to diagnose the situation from across the room.
Meanwhile, we’re decorating for fall, planning a girls’ trip to the mountains, debating how early is too early for Christmas, romanticizing apple orchards, preparing for pumpkin patches, and pretending Georgia is capable of giving us actual sweater weather.
In this episode:
Practical Magic 2Fall This or ThatThe great chili-is-soup debateWhy September feels vaguely threateningFall decorating without going full HalloweenScary movies, Harry Potter & cozy seasonPumpkin patches, apple orchards & our upcoming mountain tripMovie theater etiquette... or the lack thereofAnd the $69 Headspace subscription that derailed the entire episodeWhether you’re already wearing a sweatshirt in weather that absolutely does not require one, lighting a fall candle at noon, or staring outside wondering when the leaves are finally going to get the memo...
Welcome to fall.
Or, as we like to call it in Georgia: Hotumn.

Behind the Pod | Crime Scenes, Courtrooms & the Great Doodle Debate
2026/09/18
We finished talking about the Idaho murders.
Except… obviously we didn’t.
This week on Behind the Pod, Jessie and Kiki are still stuck on all the things The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare left them thinking about — starting with the absolutely chaotic way information was communicated after the murders and the fact that some students learned what happened through a university notification before anyone on scene had even told them.
Then there’s the decision to tear down the house before Bryan Kohberger ever went to trial, which sends both of us into another round of: WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?
We also get into the question Kiki cannot let go of: Why that house? Why those students? Was someone specifically targeted? And does knowing “why” actually give a family any real closure?
From there, the conversation somehow turns into whether either of us should ever be allowed on a murder jury, reasonable doubt, how documentaries can completely change the story depending on what they show you, and why Kiki would apparently spend the rest of her life personally searching hundreds of miles of Idaho countryside for missing evidence if Jessie were murdered.
And because this is Behind the Pod, we eventually arrive at the most controversial question of the entire week: Why are people so obsessed with golden doodles?
Yes. After an hour-plus discussing one of the most disturbing murder cases in recent history, this may be the take that gets us canceled.
Because true crime is temporary. Doodle discourse is forever.

Bryan Kohberger & The Idaho Murders: Everything We're Still Questioning
2026/09/16
Have you ever watched a true crime documentary and thought, “I understand that trauma makes people do weird things... but I still have QUESTIONS”?
Yeah... us too.
This week, Jessie and Kiki are talking about Netflix’s The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare and the 2022 murders of University of Idaho students Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin.
And while this is a case most of us thought we already knew, the documentary left us with a whole new list of things to argue about.
We walk through what happened that night, the incredibly short timeline of the murders, the evidence that eventually led investigators to Bryan Kohberger, and one of the most debated parts of the entire case: the surviving roommates and the hours that passed before anyone called 911.
Kiki has questions. Jessie comes prepared with research on normalcy bias, freezing, dissociation, and other cases where people responded to terrifying situations in ways that seem completely irrational from the outside. And somehow we end up debating whether either of us would actually function during a crisis... or just barricade ourselves in a bedroom and hope for the best.
Then we get into Kohberger himself: the knife sheath, DNA and genetic genealogy, his extremely questionable “stargazing” alibi, the lack of blood found in his car, his criminology background, his guilty plea, and the biggest unanswered question of all — why these four students?
In this episode:
• Netflix’s The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare
• Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle & Ethan Chapin
• Bryan Kohberger and the evidence against him
• The surviving roommates and the eight-hour delay
• Fight, flight, freeze and normalcy bias
• DNA, 23andMe and genetic genealogy
• The knife sheath and Kohberger’s alleged movements that night
• Why we still don’t know who — if anyone — was originally targeted
• The families’ search for answers
• College roommates, absurdly fancy dorm rooms and why ours definitely did NOT look like that
• Why Kiki’s DNA is apparently going to get Jessie arrested someday
• And our promise to create Reddit accounts and avenge one another if necessary
Whether you followed this case from the beginning, just watched the Netflix documentary, or somehow managed to avoid falling into the Idaho murders rabbit hole until now, come sit with us while we unpack the facts, the unanswered questions, and the psychology behind the parts of this case that are so difficult to understand.
Because sometimes the scariest part of true crime isn’t just what happened.
It’s realizing that none of us actually knows how we’d react if it happened to us.

Behind the Pod | Death of the Pastor’s Wife & the Problem With Men Who Answer to No One
2026/09/11
Have you ever finished a true-crime documentary, kept talking about it for another hour, and somehow ended up questioning organized religion, the legal system, church governance, marriage, infidelity, social media—and whether you’ve officially become one of those people on the internet discussing somebody else’s tragedy?
Yeah... us too.
We’re back Behind the Pod because apparently one episode was NOT enough to unpack Netflix’s Death of the Pastor’s Wife and the heartbreaking story of Mica Miller.
This time, Jessie and Kiki dig into all the things we couldn’t stop thinking about after the main episode: JP Miller’s behavior after Mica’s death, the affairs, the people around him who seemingly knew what was happening, and the church leadership that was given opportunities to intervene—and didn’t.
Which leads us to a much bigger question: when everyone sees the red flags, who is responsible for doing something about them?
We get into the frustrating difference between something being morally wrong and actually being criminally prosecutable, whether someone can—or should—be held responsible when harassment and coercive control contribute to another person’s death, and why Mica documenting what was happening still wasn’t enough to protect her.
Then, naturally, we take a hard left into church politics.
Kiki breaks down why the structure of an independent, non-denominational church can look very different from denominations with outside governing bodies, Jessie questions what happens when the person behind the pulpit essentially answers to no one, and we both wonder how church elders can be presented with serious concerns and decide that protecting the institution is more important than confronting the person leading it.
And somewhere in the middle of all of this, we have a horrifying realization: Are we the true-crime internet people now?
Because watching a documentary criticize YouTubers, TikTokers, and strangers online for dissecting Mica’s case while literally recording a podcast about Mica’s case created a level of self-awareness we were not emotionally prepared for.
In this episode:
Netflix’s Death of the Pastor’s WifeThe church elders and questions of accountabilityJP’s affairs and the people who allegedly knew about themCoercive control, harassment, and the limits of the legal systemWhether someone can be held responsible for contributing to another person’s suicideThe difference between criminal and civil liabilityOrganized religion vs. faith and spiritualityWhat happens when religious leaders have very little outside oversightJP’s extremely uncomfortable sermons about sex, lust, and marriageAnd the moment we realize we may have become exactly the kind of true-crime commentators we complain about
Whether you watched Death of the Pastor’s Wife, followed the Mica Miller case before the Netflix documentary, have complicated feelings about organized religion, or simply enjoy listening to two sisters put on imaginary law degrees and argue about things they are absolutely not qualified to prosecute—this Behind the Pod is for you.
Because sometimes the biggest question isn’t whether people knew something was wrong... It’s why nobody stopped it.

Death of the Pastor’s Wife: Mica Miller, JP Miller & the Red Flags Everyone Missed
2026/09/09
This week, Jessie and Kiki dive into Netflix’s Death of the Pastor’s Wife, the story of Mica Miller, her marriage to pastor John-Paul “JP” Miller, and the disturbing events leading up to her death.
Mica entered JP’s world as a teenager, and over the years he became her pastor, mentor, employer, and eventually husband. We talk about the enormous power imbalance at the center of their relationship, allegations of controlling behavior and harassment, the role religion played in Mica’s identity, and why leaving may have felt far more complicated than simply walking away.
We also get into JP’s uncomfortable sermons about sex and marriage, Mica’s bipolar diagnosis and how it was later used against her, faith-based therapy, shame, coercive control, and the question at the heart of the documentary:
If someone doesn’t physically cause a death, can they still bear responsibility for helping push another person to the breaking point?
In this episode:
Netflix’s Death of the Pastor’s WifeMica Miller and JP MillerGrooming and power dynamicsReligion, marriage, and controlMental health and Mica’s bipolar diagnosisAllegations of stalking and harassmentWhy “just leave” is rarely that simpleAnd, somehow, Dolly Parton, TikTok’s “unalived” vocabulary, and our usual completely unnecessary side quests
Whether you already followed the Mica Miller case or discovered it through Netflix, this episode is about much more than one marriage. It’s about what happens when faith, shame, control, and identity become so tangled together that freedom starts to feel impossible.
And we’re not done — the conversation continues Friday on Behind the Pod.

Behind the Pod | The Exit Interview: I Finally Said Everything
2026/09/04
So what happens AFTER you quit the job you've had for 14 years?
Apparently… you finally tell your boss everything.
This week on Behind the Pod, we're picking up exactly where the main episode left off and talking about the part of Jessie's departure we didn't get to: the exit interview.
Jessie had fully planned to keep it vague, smile politely, and ride quietly into the private-sector sunset. But when the opportunity came to sit down with leadership and explain why she was really leaving?
She decided to tell the truth... All of it.
We talk about what Jessie said, why she almost said nothing at all, how to give difficult feedback without burning a bridge, and the surprising realization she had when the conversation was over: maybe she should have spoken up sooner.
Then, because apparently we're still processing 14 years of government employment, Kiki has more questions.
What corporate phrases will Jessie never miss hearing again? What percentage of a government job is actually doing the work versus figuring out who needs to approve it? Did she have an office nemesis? And what happens when your employee appreciation event is so poorly planned that leaving, eating lunch somewhere else, and coming BACK is faster than waiting for the free food?
We also discuss the deeply confusing tradition of giving Jessie cash whenever something happens to her, the incredibly sweet goodbye gifts she received from her team, and why having people write personal notes to you is both wonderful and emotionally devastating when you're already trying not to feel guilty about leaving.
But don't worry. We also somehow find time for a smoke jumper running for Congress, a former CIA employee allegedly stashing millions of dollars in gold bars, government résumés that apparently nobody bothered to verify, a broken reflecting pool, dead Florida lawns, an animatronic Rudolph disaster, and some aggressively crunchy Cheez-Its.
You know. Normal Behind the Pod stuff...
In this episode:
How to speak your truth without burning a bridgeThe one thing Jessie regrets about leavingCorporate phrases we never want to hear againEmployee appreciation events gone terribly wrongOffice nemesesThe incredibly sweet goodbye gifts that made leaving harderThe truth about people who work in governmentSmoke jumpers—which are apparently a real thingA CIA employee, millions of dollars & GOLD BARS
Underneath all the chaos, though, there's one final thing Jessie wants people to understand about the career she left behind: most government employees aren't sitting around looking for ways to tell people no.
They're there because they genuinely want to help.
And after 14 years, countless meetings, approximately four million acronyms, one office nemesis and more government bureaucracy than any human should reasonably experience, that's something worth saying on the way out.

I Quit My Job: Starting Over, Burnout & Betting on Yourself
2026/09/02
Have you ever stayed somewhere so long that leaving—even when you know you’re ready—feels completely terrifying?
Yeah... this week, Jessie did it.
After 14 years with the same state agency and nearly 20 years working in government, Jessie has officially quit her job, left the public sector, and started an entirely new chapter.
And naturally, we have a LOT to talk about.
This week, Jessie and Kiki get into what it actually feels like to leave a career that has been part of your identity for decades: interviewing for a private-sector job while on beach vacation, secretly navigating the hiring process while recording podcast episodes, saying goodbye to longtime coworkers, driving away from the office for the last time, and adjusting to a completely different work culture.
There are some things Jessie misses already...
There are other things she absolutely does not... Like commuting into Atlanta. Traveling across the state for a 15-minute meeting. Answering work calls after hours. And apparently spending approximately half her life in meetings that absolutely could have been emails.
But this isn't just a career-change episode.
Because before Jessie can get too reflective, Kiki and Professor Binky drag us into TV “This or That,” where we debate Sex and the City vs. Gossip Girl, Ted Lasso vs. Schitt’s Creek, The Crown vs. Downton Abbey, The Office vs. Parks and Recreation, and whether Jessie has officially betrayed Gilmore Girls.
Then Jessie introduces a game called DCA or NBC: Did this completely unhinged workplace scenario actually happen during her years in state government… or is it a storyline from The Office or Parks and Recreation?
And, frankly, the real stories may be worse.
You truly cannot make this shit up.
But underneath all of the workplace chaos is a conversation we've been circling around for months: How do you know when it's finally time to leave?
Jessie talks about realizing that career success doesn't mean the same thing to her at 43 that it did years ago, how COVID changed her priorities, what it feels like to finally have boundaries around work, and why being valued and supported matters more than any title.
And one week into the new job? She feels lighter.
In this episode:
Making a major career change in your 40sInterviewing for a new job while on vacationThe emotional weirdness of your final week at workWorking remotely full-timeAdjusting to real work-life boundariesCareer burnout and redefining successDCA or NBC: workplace stories that should absolutely be fictionalRevenge drug testsParking-deck arsonGovernment office napsAnd why “You Can’t Make This Sh*t Up” may be the perfect title for an entire career
Sometimes starting over doesn't mean everything before it was a mistake. Sometimes it just means you finally realized you're allowed to choose something different.

Behind the Pod | Aliens Are Real and Men Are Still the Problem
2026/08/28
Have you ever finished an alien movie, cried through the final twenty minutes, and immediately texted everyone you know about the emotional weight of disclosure?
No? Just Jessie, apparently...
This week’s Behind the Pod starts with Jessie finally watching Disclosure Day after missing out on the original movie discussion with Kiki and Josh.
In a nutshell... Jessie cried, Kiki was annoyed by the news anchor.
So... basically the same experience.
The sisters break down the movie’s biggest plot holes and strangest choices, from the confusing opening and questionable accents to alien communication, faith, empathy, and Emily Blunt’s deeply unhelpful boyfriend.
They also have questions about the ending.
Why does Colin Firth spend decades trying to stop disclosure only to suddenly give up? Why is the alien on live television approximately seven feet tall? And why tell humanity to “listen” if we never actually get to hear the message?
Then, naturally, the conversation spirals into House of the Dragon, impossible Targaryen names, dragon confusion, and why watching that show requires a family tree, a flow chart, and possibly professional assistance.
In this episode:
Disclosure Day reactionsWhy Jessie cried at the endingAlien communication and empathyReligion, faith, and disclosureThe movie’s biggest plot holesEmily Blunt’s terrible boyfriendThe giant “grandpa alien”House of the Dragon confusionTargaryens, dragons, and Sheepstealer
Whether you loved Disclosure Day, spent the entire movie wondering what was happening, or still cannot tell one Targaryen from another, this episode is for you.
Because aliens may be easier to understand than House of the Dragon.

Disclosure Day: Is Spielberg Trying to Tell Us Something?
2026/08/26
Have you ever watched an alien movie and thought, “Okay… but what if they’re actually trying to tell us something?”
Yeah... us too.
Josh is back—and after spending an entire episode getting distracted by Roswell, UFO lore, government secrets and approximately 700 other rabbit holes, we are FINALLY talking about what we invited him over to discuss: Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day.
And according to Josh, this isn't just another alien movie.
We break down Disclosure Day, starring Emily Blunt and Josh O’Connor, and the surprisingly deep UFO lore woven throughout the film. From whistleblowers and private government contractors to experiencers, screen memories, psionics, remote viewing and mysterious “downloads,” Josh explains why some of the movie’s strangest ideas have parallels to stories and claims that have circulated in the real-world UFO community.
Then we get into the bigger question: What does Steven Spielberg know?
Josh takes us through Spielberg’s decades-long fascination with UFOs—from Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T. to his alleged connections with people inside the national security world—and why Disclosure Day feels less like “What if aliens exist?” and more like “What happens when everyone finally finds out?”
But underneath the alien chaos, things get surprisingly philosophical.
We talk about synchronicities, consciousness, intuition, religion, empathy, nuclear weapons, climate anxiety and why the most shocking part of modern UFO disclosure might not be whether people believe it.
It might be that people just don't care.
In this episode:
Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure DayEmily Blunt & Josh O’ConnorIs Spielberg preparing audiences for disclosure?UFO experiencers and screen memoriesSynchronicities, consciousness & intuitionRemote viewing, psionics and mysterious “downloads”The Ariel School UFO encounterThe Nimitz Tic Tac incidentThe alleged Nixon–Jackie Gleason UFO storyReligion, aliens, angels & demonsUFOs and nuclear weaponsWhy so many people seem completely uninterested in disclosureWhat we would do if someone handed us proof of extraterrestrial lifeAnd yes... the giant crystal dildo
Whether you're a full-blown believer, a committed skeptic, UFO-curious, or just here because Steven Spielberg has been making alien movies for decades and you're starting to wonder what exactly that man knows—come down the rabbit hole with us.
Because maybe disclosure isn't one giant announcement.
Maybe we've been getting pieces of the story all along.

Behind the Pod | Area 51, Roswell & the JFK Rabbit Hole
2026/08/21
Have you ever played a simple word-association game... and somehow ended up discussing who killed JFK?
Yeah... us too.
Josh is still in the studio, and this week’s Behind the Pod starts with a brand-new game called First Thoughts. Professor Binkie gives Jessie, Kiki, and Josh words like Area 51, Roswell, NASA, aliens, and conspiracy theories—and everyone has to say the first thing that comes to mind.
That lasts about five minutes.
Because when Josh is involved, “Roswell” does not simply get the answer weather balloon and move on.
Instead, the conversation spirals into UFO disclosure, the Phoenix Lights, government secrecy, NASA’s classified history, alleged crash-retrieval programs, alien “biologics,” and whether the little gray aliens we picture might actually be something closer to biological drones.
Normal Friday conversation.
Then Jessie says the words conspiracy theory, and things really go off the rails.
Josh takes everyone down a rabbit hole involving Watergate, the CIA, Cuba, the Kennedy assassination, nuclear weapons, UFO secrecy, Havana Syndrome, anti-gravity research, and why he believes some of these seemingly unrelated stories may actually overlap.
Jessie, meanwhile, has a much simpler explanation for at least one government mystery: Sometimes it is just really hard to get a new vendor approved.
In this episode:
Area 51 and RoswellUFOs versus UAPsThe Phoenix LightsThe government’s “weather balloon” explanationNASA and classified space programsUFO disclosure versus UFO confirmationAlien biologics and the theory of biological dronesThe PhenomenonGovernment secrecy and conspiracy theoriesJFK, the CIA, Cuba, and WatergateNuclear weapons and UFO historyHavana SyndromeAnti-gravity and zero-point energyWhy Josh absolutely needs his own conspiracy episodeAnd one game of First Thoughts that completely loses the plot
Whether you have spent hours reading about Roswell, still have questions about the JFK assassination, or just enjoy watching Jessie and Kiki slowly realize they have accidentally started planning three more episodes with Josh, this conversation is for you.
Because we started with word association... And ended with the CIA.

We Were Supposed to Talk About Aliens | The Odyssey, Millennial Anxiety & Aliens w/ Josh
2026/08/19
Have you ever invited someone over to talk about aliens... and then spent almost an hour talking about literally everything except aliens?
Yeah... us too.
Josh is back, and apparently none of us can be trusted with a rundown.
What was supposed to be our Disclosure Day episode quickly turns into Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, Stranger Things, IMAX, movie theater anxiety, why elder millennials are probably traumatized beyond repair, and the time a giant rat walked across Josh’s foot during The Bourne Ultimatum.
So... normal stuff.
We also get unexpectedly deep about podcast burnout, creative work, careers, side hustles, and that weird point in adulthood when you realize maybe you don’t actually want to keep climbing the ladder forever. Maybe you just want to like the people you work with, make enough money to live your life, laugh during the day, and stop turning every hobby into another job... A revolutionary concept.
In this episode:

Whether you’re excited for The Odyssey, reconsidering your entire career, or have ever sat down with friends to discuss one thing and somehow ended up talking about rats, 9/11, Gordon Ramsay, and pegging... welcome. You’re among friends.
Because we really did plan an alien episode.
We just didn’t record it yet.

Behind the Pod | TikTok Trends, Dream Sponsors & Hamet Made Us Cry
2026/08/14
Have you ever seen a TikTok telling you how you’re supposed to dress at your age and immediately thought, “Well, apparently I don’t own any of those clothes?”
Yeah... us too.
After spending the main episode spiraling over the Millennial Career Crisis, Jessie and Kiki are officially clocking out and getting back to the important issues: Are we dressing our age? Why don't adult shoes light up? And exactly how embarrassing is it to tell a complete stranger you have a podcast?
We start with the viral “dress your age” TikTok trend—which naturally turns into Jessie and Kiki deciding it would be much more entertaining to recreate the outfits they wore as children. Think hot pink leggings, tutus, Disney princess shirts and light-up sneakers... but on grown women.
Then we get into the brands we desperately need to sponsor the podcast, why Jessie's cat Penny has been placed on a diet she absolutely did not consent to, and the logistical nightmare of feeding one cat diet food while simultaneously trying to fatten up the other.
Kiki also recounts the deeply humbling experience of her father-in-law suddenly noticing the nose ring she's had for FIFTEEN YEARS, which somehow leads to the even more terrifying experience of trying to tell a waitress about the podcast. Spoiler: Kiki chickens out. Mom does not.
Plus, Jessie has selected the next Two Girls One Haircut karaoke song, Kiki apparently doesn't know enough Florida Georgia Line to make this easy, and we wrap things up with Hamnet, Jessie Buckley, and why Jessie spent approximately two hours emotionally devastated by a movie she would still enthusiastically recommend.
In this episode:
The TikTok “dress your age” trendWhy childhood fashion deserves an adult comebackOur dream podcast sponsorsPenny's deeply unpopular dietWhy Jax needs the “fat food”Parents noticing things approximately once every five yearsThe humiliation of promoting your own podcast in publicOur next Two Girls One Haircut karaoke disasterHamnet, Jessie Buckley & a LOT of cryingA little tease of the true-crime insanity coming next week
Whether you're still wearing leggings every chance you get, secretly want adult light-up shoes, have an animal who refuses diet food, or have ever wanted to crawl under a table after talking about yourself to a stranger—welcome. You're among friends.
Growing older may not make us less embarrassing. Apparently, it just gives us more material.
