Description

I spent years building a marketing agency from nothing, scaling it past a million dollars, and figuring out the hard way that none of it works if you can't sell. Now I help agency owners close more deals and grow revenue without feeling sleazy or stressed about it. On the Sell Well Show I share real sales strategies, honest agency lessons, and what actually drives revenue in short episodes you can actually use. If you want to build a business that gives you more profit and more peace, you're in the right place.

Skip the Five-Year Plan: Answer These Two Questions Before 2027
2026/10/22
A client told me this week she still doesn’t have a clear vision for her business, and honestly I hear that all the time. So I’m giving you permission to drop the five-year plan and set a 12-month vision instead. I’ll walk you through the two questions I want you answering for the end of 2027, and tell you why “more money and more freedom” doesn’t count as a goal. Ready to put real numbers behind your vision for next year? Join the Sell Well 21 Day Challenge at suzieconsoli.com/sell-well and use code PODCAST.
I’m There for You: What Jerry and Elaine Can Teach Us Before Year End
2026/10/15
Your November books look amazing. Deals that stalled all summer are suddenly moving, clients are spending leftover budget, and you’re sitting there with pumpkin pie and an old fashioned thinking next year is going to be huge. Then January hits and the leads just stop. In this episode I’m talking about why that happens (a lot of it is seasonality) and how to get ahead of it with a Q4 sales blitz. I cover where the name comes from, what kind of offer to put together, who to send it to, and the simple three-email sequence that made January and February some of our biggest months at Lawson House. There’s also a Seinfeld episode that sums up the whole strategy better than I ever could. Want help running yours? My 21-Day Challenge walks you through it in five minutes a day. Start Prescribing, Start Closing: How to Win More Deals in Q4
2026/10/08
Want to close more deals before the year ends? Stop giving your prospects options. In this episode I'm sharing the simple shift that's helped my clients jump from a 20 to 30% close rate to closer to 50 to 60%, and it started with a lesson I learned in an olive oil shop. You'll hear exactly what to say on your next sales call to lead prospects to a yes, even when they push back on paying for strategy.  Need help figuring out what to prescribe? The Honest Launch: Why I Really Built the Sell Well 21 Day Challenge
2026/10/01
I'm launching the Sell Well 21 Day Challenge this week, and instead of a polished pitch, you're getting the honest version. I'll tell you why I built it, including the less altruistic reason. You'll hear why it's 21 days and not 30, and about the free afternoon in Nashville when I recorded the whole thing in one sitting. The Sell Well 21 Day Challenge is a short daily episode with one action at a time. Week one, you analyze your numbers and your clients. Week two, you tighten your offers, pricing and sales templates. Week three, you run a sales blitz and put revenue on the board. Listen to the full story, then decide if it's the reset your business needs going into Q4. Get the challenge at suzieconsoli.com/sell-well and use code PODCAST for $100 off.  Want one to one coaching? Join the waitlist at suzieconsoli.com/coaching.
I Missed a Thursday: Why Diversified Lead Gen Lets You Step Away
2026/09/24
Last week I missed my first Thursday episode since March. My downloads dipped, and I didn't panic once. In this episode I'm sharing why I took a coaching sabbatical at the beach with my family, why a diversified lead gen mix meant I could actually step away, and what to do if you feel stuck on a hamster wheel of content.  Plus a first look at the 21-day business reset I'm launching next week, with a listener code you won't want to miss.  Find more at suzieconsoli.com.
Phone a Friend: Weaver Ellard on Pricing Transparency and Winning Bigger Deals
2026/09/10
I called up my friend Weaver Ellard, co-founder of Dodeka Digital, to talk about something almost every agency owner wrestles with: charging more. Weaver has sat on both sides of the table, as a client hiring agencies and now running one. He built his entire pricing approach around two things: market data and margins. We also get into why putting your pricing out in the open actually wins more deals than it costs you, how to stop pricing off a gut feeling, and the specific numbers Weaver watches to know it's actually time to raise your rates. If you've ever sent a proposal and just hoped the number was right, this conversation gives you a much better way to land on it.  Follow Weaver and Dodeka Digital on LinkedIn. Work with Dodeka. Crafting Strong Offers: A Question, a Warning, and a Myth
2026/09/03
Everyone wants to talk about scripts and closing techniques, but if your offer is weak, none of that matters. In this episode I'm giving you a question, a warning, and a myth to run every offer through before you launch it, including the one my husband asks me every single time I bring him a new business idea, and a really terrible baby boutique idea I had two months postpartum that never should have seen the light of day. I'm also getting into what Alex Hormozi's $100M Offers actually taught me, and why passive revenue is not the effortless dream the internet sells it as. If you're building or rethinking an offer right now, this one will save you some pain. Work with me 1:1 at suzieconsoli.com.
Phone a Friend: Natalie Turner from MintLeads on Cold Email 101
2026/08/27
Cold email has a reputation problem. People hear it and think spam, think sleazy, think it doesn't work anymore. So I brought in my friend Natalie, who has been doing this for four years to set the record straight. We talk about what cold email actually looks like right now, why the plain text one liner beats the polished pitch every time, and how to know if your target market is even big enough for this to work. Want to talk to Natalie yourself? Head to mintleads.io and get on her calendar. Work with me at suzieconsoli.com.
Stop Scrolling, Start Selling: Your 4-Step Outbound Plan
2026/08/20
I'm the oldest of four, and my siblings will tell you I've got big sister energy, the kind that comes out in full force when I see you doing something I know you should be doing differently. Today that energy is aimed at your sales process. You feel like you're selling when you're actually just scrolling, or worse, just making friends online. I'm breaking down exactly why your brain tricks you into thinking content is the same as outreach, and then I'm giving you a real four step plan to fix it, channels, frequency, volume, and your target list. If your marketing is working overtime and your sales calendar is still empty, this one's for you.  Work with me at suzieconsoli.com.
Send the Loom: The Five Minute Video That Kills Sticker Shock
2026/08/13
I'm a big fan of sending Looms along with proposals, and I believe emailing a proposal, or talking through numbers on that first call, can kill a deal even when you have amazing value to add. That's what we're getting into today. I'm giving you a high level look at what a Loom proposal can cover, from personalizing it to their exact call outs to how you handle the close, and why walking someone through pricing on video changes the entire tone of a deal. Plus the very unhinged thing I do the second someone opens the video. Work with me at suzieconsoli.com.
My Top 4 Red Flags: Not Worth the Money
2026/08/06
Most of what I talk about on this show is how to close more deals. This episode is the opposite. I'm walking through the four client red flags that would make me walk away before I ever sign the contract, no matter how good the budget looks. Spoiler alert: it's not just about creepy vibes on a sales call, though we're covering that too. It's about expectations that were never mine to carry, resentment that shows up before the work even starts, and a pattern I now watch for before I say yes to anyone. These are the clients I signed and regretted, and I'd rather you learn from my mistakes than make your own.  Work with me 1:1 at suzieconsoli.com.
Price Objections Aren't About Price: The Psychology of "I Can't Afford This"
2026/07/30
I hate the sales advice that says when someone tells you the price is too high, you should ask them "what's the cost of your future?" It's fear tactics dressed up as strategy, and it doesn't work. I know because I've been on the receiving end of that exact line, and it made me want to hang up immediately. This week a coaching client brought up price objections, and it got me thinking about what's actually happening in that moment. A price objection isn't really about money. It's an emotional collision. You're feeling either angry, because you feel misunderstood, or insecure, and ready to discount yourself into oblivion. And the client on the other end of that call is having their own emotional moment too, usually rooted in the exact same insecurity. In this episode I break down the two types of people behind "I can't afford this right now," why matching their emotional energy is the worst thing you can do, and the exact questions I ask to figure out what's really going on before I ever talk about price.  Work with me at suzieconsoli.com.
Phone a Friend: A Live Coaching Session with Abby Connolly
2026/07/23
My very first intern is on the show with me today, except now she runs her own thriving design studio. I put Abby on the spot for a live, no-prep coaching session so you could hear exactly what it sounds like when I work with a client in real time. In this super speed, rapid fire session we get into her offers, her pricing, and the one thing that's capping her growth right now. Plus the story of how a phone call about filing an LLC turned into an actual business (her parents literally bought her the domain for Christmas). Thing you might want to dive into your own business together? Let's chat. Check out Abby's work.
Facts Over Feelings: How I Learned to Forecast My Business
2026/07/16
I am not a spreadsheet girly. I'm a salesperson, always have been, numbers were the thing I dealt with after the fun part was over. But my husband David built me a tool early on that changed how I ran my business, and it's the exact same one that took me from $800 a month to seven figures. I still use it every single day. Today I'm breaking down what forecasting actually is, why it's not just a VP with a finance team thing, and the three decisions it hands you the second you start doing it daily. When to hit the gas. When to cut costs. When it's actually time to hire.  Grab the exact tool plus a quick Loom walkthrough free at suzieconsoli.com/tracker. USE CODE “PODCASTTRACKER” TO GET THE TRACKER FOR FREE.
You Are Not Your Business: Why Your Identity Is Costing You Deals
2026/07/09
I scrapped the episode I had planned this week because the same question kept coming up on multiple  coaching calls this week.  "Who am I, if this business doesn't work out?" I know that sounds like a mindset guru thing, but stick with me, because getting this wrong is quietly costing you sales calls, and getting it right will change how you show up in your business completely.  Head to suzieconsoli.com if you want to talk through where you're getting stuck.
