In this episode I explore some of the reasons we all 'overthink' and 'stress about our quilting. I talk about when it's good and when it isn't. Everything from the dreaded quilt police to the positive 'stress' of learning and being creative. This episode first aired on my YouTube channel in 2025 and a lot of my subscribers told me they found it really useful for their own quilting mindset. I hope you do too. This episode is for any quilter who has gotten upset or hurt by the way a quilt they made was received by someone... Honestly this one is a bit of tough love, but I've been told it helped some folk to shift their mindset about the way they gift quilts. This episode was originally published in 2025 on my YouTube channel. Scrap Chat is a no‑judgement quilting podcast featuring interviews with quilt‑famous makers you’ll probably recognise and home quilters you haven’t met yet but can genuinely relate to, plus the occasional solo episode where I riff on everything from quilting with scraps to the way we all second‑guess ourselves in our making. We explore the full range of quilting goals, because there isn’t one “right” way to be a quilter — and wherever you fall on that spectrum, you’re welcome here.
