The Good Boy Trap: How to Stop People-Pleasing in Love - Preston Smiles - #027
2026/10/27
What if the thing you’re most afraid to say out loud is the very thing that would save you?
I opened this conversation with a line from the Gospel of Thomas: “If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”
Preston's response was exactly what I didn't know I needed.
Preston has spent two decades as a transformational coach, speaker and author. He is a father of four, and for more than a decade he’s led The Bridge Experience alongside his wife, Alexi.
For Preston, bringing forth what’s within you isn’t only about your purpose or your mission. It’s moment to moment. It’s the first hit in your body, and whether you act on it or talk yourself out of it. Every time you override it, you erode trust within yourself.
So in this conversation we went looking for it. We talked about how we were trained from childhood to outsource our power to our parents, our teachers and our priests long before we knew we were doing it, and why intuition is almost always the first thought, not the fifth. He explained why God, to him, is like electricity, and why the real question is whether you’ve built the infrastructure for what you’re asking for. And he told me how scheduling play into every single day, right in the middle of a launch, doubled his business.
We talked about brutal honesty versus artful honesty in relationships, what actually creates safety in a woman’s body, why arguing more brought him and his wife closer, and how to hold your ground without people pleasing or running.
We went deep on money too. Why money is the spoon, not the food. Why he sent back a $30,000 payment from a client he didn’t want to coach. How writing a book called Spiritual Millionaire took him down to his last $20,000. How to pick the one thing that moves the needle and put everything else down. And why he can sit at a table with men who have far more money than him and feel like the richest one in the room.
The line that stuck with me:“When a bird lands on a tree, its faith is not in the branch. Its faith is in its wings.”
If you’re carrying something you haven’t said yet, this one is for you. Go bring it forth!
If this conversation moves something in you, let me know by liking, commenting, and subscribing to the show.
I am committed out of my mind to bringing you conversations that alter the direction of your life, leading you to a deeper sense of belonging in the context of the world.

Master of Creativity: How to Create Meaningful Art - IN-Q - #026
2026/10/19
I left this conversation more inspired, uplifted and connected to the texture of my existence than I have felt in a long time.IN-Q is an emmy-nominated poet, multi-platinum songwriter, world renowned keynote speaker, and best-selling author. This is an intimate window into his creative process, the perspective he adopts to create meaningful art, and a live demonstration of a few poems, both his and mine, that have touched the lives of many. It was a pinch me moment to have the opportunity to sit across from and read poetry to a man who has been the core icon I have looked to for inspiration when translating my world into words. I believe you will be touched by this conversation, and if you are, please let me know. I am committed out of my mind to bringing you conversations that offer you a deeper sense of belonging to yourself and the world. It is an honor to have you tuning in. "Lock In" Masterclass: The Full Protocol For Men To Level Up - Santa Cruz Medicinals (Brendan Ruh) - #025
2026/10/07
Brendan, the founder of Santa Cruz Medicinals, may be the most influential voice in the world for young men right now. He walks down the street and cars pull over so kids can yell "Santa Cruz!" out the window. He funds his own content, he doesn't take the gambling money, and he shows people exactly how he lives.
I didn't sit down with him to talk about supplements. I wanted to talk about the inside of a young man's life, because I believe that's where the real crisis is. The loneliness. A dating world that feels rigged. A brain so cooked by the scroll that it feels nothing and everything at the same time.
We spoke about larping, looksmaxxing, mogging, mewing, monk mode, rage baiting, sexual market value, AI girlfriends, sports betting and the manosphere itself. A few of his answers surprised me!
If you're a young man who feels stuck, lonely, or like the game is rigged against you, this one is for you. And if you love one, send it to him.
I hope you enjoy, and if you do, let me know by liking, commenting, and subscribing to the show.
I am committed out of my mind to bringing you conversations that alter the direction of your life, leading you to a deeper sense of belonging in the context of the world.
This episode includes a conversation about those who contemplate taking their life. If you're struggling, you are not alone. In the US, call or text 988 to reach the Crisis Lifeline. Outside the US, findahelpline.com lists free support near you.

Identity Shifting Masterclass: Start A New Life In 9 Months- Charlie Rocket - #024
2026/09/30
You are under no obligation to be the same person you were yesterday.
These are Charlie Rocket's recipes for reinvention.
Not many are more qualified to speak on this than Charlie.
He got fired twice in the music business, then went on to manage 2 Chainz. At 29, he was 300 pounds with a brain tumor. Nine months later, he was a Nike athlete. He then left that world behind to build a multinational charitable organization called the Dream Machine Foundation, where he travelled the country making people's dreams come true. He has since established himself as a global speaker, and in this episode talks openly about his next phase of reinvention: becoming a NYT Bestselling Author.
He is a testament to the power of delusional optimism, as well as the profound humility to begin again, time and time again.
His life is vibrant because he has been willing to choose again when his spirit longs for something new, and this conversation invites you into the 'how' behind it all.
Enjoy :-)

The Art of Being Ruthlessly Authentic - Grayson Hart - #023
2026/09/22
Grayson Hart had the life we're all told to want. Professional Rugby player, founder of a company worth millions, a wife on the cover of magazines...and he burned it all down in the name of truth. This a public sharing of what years of devotion to truth, authenticity, and the courage to be who you are will afford you.It won't be comfortable, but comfort is never what your soul wanted anyway. Comfort is why you're deeply uncomfortable. As the age old saying goes: The truth will set you free.I KNOW this conversation will touch many people, as it did me. There is nothing more important to a fulfilling life than honoring what's true, even and especially when that truth hurts to admit.Enjoy, and let us know by subscribing and commenting if you do :-)Follow Grayson: https://www.instagram.com/graysonjonhart/Check out Hart Workshop: https://hartworkshop.com/Follow Billy: https://www.instagram.com/billygartonjr/Chapters:0:00 Introduction1:35 We Are Not Separate 2:55 The Paradox of Belonging5:05 All You Have to Do Is Be True7:17 Whatever Falls Away Is a Blessing8:25 The Dolphin on the Beach13:17 Reframing the Ten Thousand Hour Rule15:15 Billy on Athletes Who Look Too Relaxed21:15 Conor McGregor and Israel Adesanya26:17 Your Own Being Is Your Home27:08 The First Step to Being True Is Being Fake29:33 How Do You Know What's True?30:12 Truth Is a Knowing, Not a Belief33:51 The Myth of Personal Responsibility40:28 Crazy Story About Boarding School44:30 How Grayson Became Untouchable48:13 Words Are the Least Purveyor of Truth51:47 You Don't Have to Change Anything54:46 Choosing the Hard Truth After 8 Years of Marriage1:00:02 Let It Be a Possibility First, Then Decide1:02:13 Inauthenticity Often Gets Rewarded by the World1:06:51 Be Your Whole Self, Unapologetically1:12:51 Life Will Show You the Answer1:16:15 The Illusion That Love Lives in Another1:19:37 How to Be Charismatic While Inside a Committed Relationship1:21:12 Stop Giving Your Energy Away1:30:52 Making Love to the Universe1:32:00 Billy on Flirting With the World1:34:55 Nothing Is Worth More Than Freedom of Truth1:35:44 Be Like Jesus on the Cross1:37:56 Can You Trust a Man Everyone Likes?1:40:24 The Note He Wrote While Meditating1:41:20 Giving Yourself Away Is Not Love1:42:19 Dermot Kennedy's Lyrics1:46:30 Forgiving Everyone That Hurt Him1:50:16 Why Forgiveness Protects Other People1:54:32 The Most Personal Is the Most Universal1:57:20 Billy on Not Needing to Be Understood1:59:41 The Worst Thing God Could Do for You2:06:43 Hart Workshop and the Heart Behind It
The 3 RULES for getting EVERYTHING You Want - Koa Smith - #022
2026/09/15
This may be my favorite conversation we've had on the show so far. Koa Smith is a professional surfer who made a name for himself chasing the biggest and most beautiful waves on earth and capturing them on camera. His career and life was dramatically altered when a collision with a reef caused a traumatic brain injury. He lost his memory, sense of self and fell into a deep depression. This is a conversation on identity, on intimacy, and on integrity. It's about learning to feel again, dissolving the illusion of separate between you and another, but also between you and everything you desire. There aren't many people more equipped to talk about death, about discovering inner peace amidst chaos, and about learning how to find purpose in life again. We talk about 3 rules for life that were given to him by a shaman, 2 words that keep you from having what you desire, and 1 way of being (Hint: trying to figure it out) that keeps us in endless suffering. We also deep dive on the modalities that have changed his life, Transcendental Meditation, Psychedelics, Joe Dispenza...and the most important one, CHOICE. I am reminded that the tools are only as effective as we choose to be with the information that is revealed. That is why life is the ceremony, and the rest are just companions supporting our awareness. After awareness always comes choice, and we must CHOOSE differently if we wish to witness new and better circumstances for our life. Enjoy, and if you do, please subscribe to the show. The chances are, if not subscribed, you will miss future episodes that, I will assert, are life altering. I am grateful for all the love and support. Does God exist? Are all these Christian people genuine? Is Christianity the way? Are SSRIs and antidepressants harmful? What even is depression? Can I out-will the algorithm? How can I retrain myself to focus?

Elliot Bewick is a 21 year old atheist and the host of The Next Generation, a podcast for...you guessed it.

2026/09/01
If you have ever looked at a man you love and wondered what is actually going on in there, watch this. If you are raising a boy and you can feel the internet reaching him faster than you can, watch this. If you are still carrying something left unsaid with your own father, watch this for the way through. And if you're a man who has done years of work on himself and still feels broken, watch this.
There is a way back...and it isn't more discipline.
Adam Jackson is the cofounder of the largest men's work organization in the world, Sacred Sons. Over 20,000 men have made their way through the Sacred Sons programming.
There are few people more equipped to talk about men than this man.
Expect to learn why combat is important for men, what twenty thousand men have actually admitted to him behind closed doors, why he doesn't fully trust men and what he means by that, the most important parts of manhood, of fatherhood, and of true intimacy in relationships.
This is a timely message for anyone with a boy or. man in their life. If you listen all the way through, you'll leave with clear tools for a more empowered existence.
Enjoy!

#019 - Jules Horn - You Can't Think Your Way to Peace. Here's How to Actually Find It
2026/08/25
If you are like me and have spent the majority of your life not feeling at home inside your own skin, this conversation is for you.
Jules Horn spent over a decade as THE model. Chanel in Paris with Karl Lagerfeld. Magazine covers with Nicki Minaj holding his photo. Dinner tables with with A-list sitting next to him.
Yet he calls that entire chapter a bird in a golden cage.
He was blackout drunk most weekends, burned out flat in bed for days every couple of months, chasing one campaign for ten years that never came, monitoring every way of being in the world in case an agent didn't like his hair.
Today, he helps people release the tension that they have carried in their fascia for decades, retrain their nervous system for safety and find a comfortable home inside their own skin.
Jules showed me the perfect way to breathe, we talked about releasing anger and rage, where most people carry tension and how to release it, the rediscovery of God and how he accesses the divine within him.
We also shine light on the dysfunction of the modeling industry, what he was really chasing and how he has transitioned from an endless pursuit of external validation to a love like no other, not from the world, but within himself.
If you have been trying to think your way into peace, this episode is the other door. It's free, it's always with you, and you have the opportunity through this conversation to touch a felt sense of peace like never before.I hope you enjoy, and if you do, let me know by liking, commenting, and subscribing to the show.I am committed out of my mind to bringing you conversations that alter the direction of your life, leading you to a deeper sense of belonging in the context of the world.

#018 - Michael Smoak - 6 Questions You Need to Ask Your Parents Before They're Gone
2026/08/18
If your parents are still alive, watch this for a time sensitive message. If they aren't, watch this for your own current or future children. If neither of those are true, watch this to touch that beautiful place inside of you that is connected to everything.
There are questions I've held about my father, about his first marriage, about who he was before he was my dad, that I have not had the courage to ask. Not because I don't want to know, but because there has always been more time.
This conversation woke me up.
Michael Smoak didn't have more time. He had 7 months to both ask and deliver everything to his father before it was over.
Today, we went to the places most people spend an entire life avoiding. The exact questions to ask your parents before it's too late, the two moments that made God undeniable to him, why your father was once a little boy full of fears and dreams and what changes in you the second you remember that, the reason he never missed a single post while his dad was dying, the six things he believes a man must have in place before he is ready for a wife, what he still wants to know from his mother, why the death of a father is the only coming of age ritual men in this culture are given, how to feel grief all the way through instead of letting it quietly run the rest of your life, and what he would say to anyone still telling themselves they'll have that conversation next year.
I have had conversations on this show that moved me. This one changed the way I look at my own father, and it changed what I'm going to do about it.
If your parents are still here, this episode is a phone call you have been putting off. Please make it.
I hope you enjoy, and if you do, let me know by liking, commenting, and subscribing to the show.
I am committed out of my mind to bringing you conversations that alter the direction of your life, leading you to a deeper sense of belonging in the context of the world.

#017 - Peter Crone: Dissolving 20 Years of Fear in 97 Minutes
2026/08/11
I’ve never been this vulnerable publicly…
3 years ago I sat in my local library feeling deeply lost. My life seemed to be crumbling before my eyes and I felt confined to a world I was no longer choosing.
I made a declaration that day that there was one person I would be coached by, and I’d find a way to get myself in the room with him.
Well, 3 years on, having consumed virtually all of his content, invested in his life altering mastermind and shared his work and words with everyone in my life, it is an absolute honor to share this conversation I had with Peter Crone.
Widely known as ‘The Mind Architect’, Peter is globally recognized for his ability to help someone reveal the deep, subconscious constraints that have laced their life, and support them in freeing themselves from the mental prisons with which they’ve been confined, so they can lead a life of freedom, love, abundance and possibility.
Today, we revealed the primary prisons I’ve been living inside of, how the world is not set up to see us succeed, how to break free from what he calls the “1.0 world” and step into his world of 2.0, how to upgrade your human operating system, the toxic male influences laced throughout culture, the difference between care and worry, where true energy is derived, and the one message Peter would leave behind for generations to come that would serve as a catalyst for both personal and universal change.
I would bet, being that you watch this show, that you’re committed to your spiritual evolution.
Let me tell you, nothing touched my life more than Peter’s Mastermind. I have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into coaches, mentors, retreats, books and programs, and the greatest catalyst for inspiration, energy, and true transformation was the 3 months I spent sitting at the feet of this man and soaking up everything he has to offer.
The link to learn more about it is below.
I hope you enjoy, and if you do, let me know by liking, commenting, and subscribing to the show.
I am committed out of my mind to bringing you conversations that alter the direction of your life, leading you to a deeper sense of belonging in the context of the world.

#016 - Laird Hamilton - The King of the Ocean Opens Up on What it Takes to Live an Extraordinary Life
2026/08/04
Everyone is trying to hack, optimize and comfort their way to a better life. Laird Hamilton says the opposite is true: that comfort is the trap, that fear is intelligence, and that the closer you get to death, the more alive you become.Laird Hamilton is widely regarded as the greatest big-wave surfer of all time, the pioneer of tow-in surfing and hydrofoil boarding who redefined what's possible in the ocean. He is the co-founder of Laird Superfood, husband of volleyball legend Gabby Reece for 28 years, and father to three daughters. He explains:◼ Why the closer you are to death, the more alive you feel◼ How a lifetime in the ocean convinced him that God exists◼ The one thing he believes is worse than dying◼ Why fear is intelligence, and how to harness it instead of avoiding it◼ Why parenting is like building a samurai sword, and why it's for you, not your kids◼ He opens up about growing up poor, fatherless and an outsider, and how that pain fueled everything he builtThe views expressed are those of the guest, and this conversation is intended for general informational purposes only. #015 - Jeremy Jackson - Former Baywatch Star Opens Up on Fame, Meth, Prison and the Pursuit of Self Love
2026/07/28
Strap in for this one folks! At nine years old, Jeremy Jackson beat Leonardo DiCaprio for the role of Hobie Buchanan on Baywatch — the most watched television show on the planet. A billion people knew his face before he could drive. What followed was two decades most people don't come back from: addiction, meth, arrests, facing up to 35 years in prison, and a public collapse narrated by everyone except him. Today, Jeremy is sober, a recovery coach, breathwork facilitator, and spiritual mentor who walks into the rehabs and jails he once occupied — carrying the message to the people still lost in the places he came back from. One line that stuck with me: "If you want God to write the love story of your life, stop taking the pen out of his hand."This conversation goes somewhere neither of us expected. Jeremy speaks for the first time at length about the marriage that gutted him deeper than anything in his life — deeper than the abuse, the kidnapping, the arrests — and the moment he chose to see the person who hurt him most as a suffering addict instead of an enemy. We talk about why fame at fourteen cost him the very authenticity he was chasing, why authenticity is a higher frequency than joy, and why the men who have been broken by life make the most glorious men. He shares the golden keys he lives by, the three words tattooed on his arm that carried him through hell, and what it means to stop being so full of yourself that God can't hand you anything.Enjoy :-)Oh, and if you do, like, subscribe, comment. It really supports in our ability to bring you the best conversations. #014 - Timmy the Dreamer - Charlie Rocket's Former Manager: Porn, Ayahuasca, and Why I Left LA
2026/07/22
Have you ever been honest enough to rate yourself as a man?Timmy Bishop — known to the world as Timmy the Dreamer — spent three years living what looked like the dream: managing one of the biggest philanthropic movements on the internet, working alongside Mr. Beast and Oprah, living in a Hollywood Hills content mansion. Then, in December 2023, he got in a boat and rode two hours down the Amazon River to a ceremony that dismantled his entire life. He has never told this story publicly. Until now.A few lines that stuck with me:"If everything I did in private could be seen by everybody in public, would I still be who I say I am? The answer was no.""Not even the medicine could make me release. That's how disconnected I was from being able to feel.""In order to be ready for a queen to walk into your life, you must first make yourself into a king."In this conversation, Timmy shares — for the first time — the ayahuasca ceremony that told him to leave his dream life in LA and move back in with his parents in Minnesota at 27. We talk about the night he rated himself a four out of ten as a man and what he did about it, the addiction to porn that 95% of the men he knows quietly carry, quitting every vice cold turkey and crying every day for a month, redefining authenticity as truthfulness rather than consistency, telling his Christian family he'd left the faith, and the five initiations he believes turn a boy into a man. Three years after the jungle, he rates himself an eight — and he'll tell you exactly what happened in between.Chapters:0:00 The two lives of Timmy Bishop3:31 Why living the dream is a state of mind7:41 The case against shaming your past self11:32 How you can be lonely with hundreds of friends14:51 The day the dream job felt empty17:29 Why your darkness needs to be seen18:48 The gift hidden inside sensitivity21:51 The real definition of authenticity27:47 Telling his Christian parents he left the faith32:48 What happens when the highs stop working34:53 The story he swore he'd never tell35:18 The boat ride into the Amazon38:15 The cleanse his body refused41:45 Inside the ayahuasca ceremony45:19 The visions that made him vomit up LA47:08 The battle between his inner child and warrior49:00 How the shaman knew before he spoke50:46 Trading Hollywood for his childhood bedroom53:04 The month he cried every single day54:52 Quitting porn, weed, and caffeine cold turkey55:23 Why porn is the vice no man admits58:19 The one question that breaks the addiction59:29 What his friends said when he relapsed1:03:03 Proof you can feel deeply and still perform1:05:00 The question every single man should ask1:08:17 The poem about the man in the glass1:10:14 The night he rated himself a 4/10 man1:12:49 Why you must become a king before finding a queen1:14:44 The moment he finally became a man1:17:33 The orange tree theory of growth1:20:12 The five steps from boy to man1:24:00 The power of four months of saying no1:26:24 The three circles every man needs1:28:16 Why a real man serves1:32:14 The closing poem for anyone feeling lostFollow Timmy: https://www.instagram.com/timmy.the.dreamer/Book Timmy to speak: https://dreamerstate.com/dreamologytourFollow Billy: https://www.instagram.com/billygartonjr/Follow the show: https://www.instagram.com/youchoosepodcast/
#013 - Alaina Booth - The Death of Fun: Why Your Life Feels So Boring (And How to Come Alive Again)
2026/07/14
When did your life start feeling so boring?
Alaina Booth has built a following by pointing her camera at something the internet keeps telling us no longer exists: proof that the world is still good. She is a director, videographer, and storyteller whose found-footage videos of strangers, community, and everyday human connection have reached millions — including a series about six generations of women who all lived in the same college house, and a caption that accidentally started a war in her comments: "But what if most people are good?"
A few lines that stuck with me:
"Courage is a moment of decision where you say, I'm going to trust myself and try something new."
"There is no amount of good energy that is ever wasted."
"The easiest way to connect with someone is to expect nothing from them."
"Never compromise who you are to get closer to the top of the mountain."
In this conversation, we explore why life starts to feel boring the moment we automate the play out of it, why the top of courage is simply being seen trying, and what it takes to keep your childlike spirit alive in a world that punishes you for it. Alaina breaks down strangermaxxing, whimsymaxxing, and the difference between someone being unsafe and simply being different.
We talk about the Honey House and why people keep finding her videos, why you can automate your entire life into total isolation, the discipline experiment that made her miserable, her Ten Commandments for living, and the Mary Oliver instruction she can't get out of her head: pay attention, be astonished, tell about it.
Someone has to dance first so the rest of us remember we can. Alaina is that person.
