Description

The Monet Noctaris Podcast is for those who can no longer pretend the old world makes sense. Through grounded spiritual insight, personal story, and cultural disentanglement, Monet explores what happens when the systems, identities, relationships, and beliefs that once held us begin to break apart. This is a podcast about disillusionment as initiation, sovereignty as embodiment, and the slow, often messy process of becoming coherent in a world built to keep us fragmented. For the ones waking up from performance, programming, spiritual bypassing, self-abandonment, and inherited survival patterns — welcome. There is a way through. www.monetnoctaris.com

20. You Can Love Them and Still Leave
2026/09/25
What do you do when you love someone, but the relationship is hurting you? In this episode, I talk about one of the hardest parts of leaving: accepting that the loving version of someone you’ve seen may not be the version they can consistently be. I share how I spent years trying to explain my needs, teach my ex-husband how to treat me, and solve a relationship I couldn’t fix on my own. We’ll talk about the pull of someone’s potential, the grief that comes with accepting what they’ve shown you, and why setting a boundary or walking away doesn’t require you to stop loving them first. Sometimes choosing yourself begins with letting reality be true. www.monetnoctaris.com Follow me on Instagram
19. When Dysregulation Is Telling You the Truth
2026/09/18
What if your nervous system isn’t malfunctioning? What if it’s responding appropriately to an environment that isn't safe? In this episode, I talk about what happened when nervous system regulation became one more way I was taught to blame myself for the effects of living in a psychologically abusive relationship. I was constantly walking on eggshells, anticipating anger, making myself smaller, and trying to regulate my way into tolerating an environment that was actively harming me. Then I left—and the anxiety disorder I thought I had largely disappeared. We’ll talk about how therapy language, attachment theory, and somatic tools can be weaponized by unsafe people; why regulation practices cannot compensate for chronic exposure to harm; and how the body begins to change when it finally experiences safety. I also share what it has been like to have new experiences with a safe person—and to realize that I don’t have to brace for traffic, a disappointing meal, or someone else’s emotional reaction. Sometimes healing happens through tools. Sometimes it happens because you leave. And sometimes it happens when your body is finally shown that something else is possible. Plus, a personal update on reclaiming the title of life coach, refining the direction of this platform, and helping women rebuild lives that truly belong to them. www.monetnoctaris.com
18. You Evolved. Did Your Self-Concept?
2026/09/11
What happens when your life begins to change, but you’re still carrying beliefs built for an earlier version of you?  In this episode, I’m reflecting on the anniversary of a painful ending, the radical acceptance that finally allowed me to seal that door, and the life that became possible once I stopped yearning for a ghost. I also share the self-concept work I’ve returned to as I approach a new professional threshold—and why entering a new relationship, opportunity, or chapter often requires us to update what we believe about ourselves. We’ll talk about learning to observe your thoughts instead of automatically treating them as truth, identifying the voices and conditioning beneath your beliefs, and becoming someone who can actually receive the love, respect, success, and possibility she says she wants. Because sovereignty isn’t only about what you choose externally. It begins with recognizing that your beliefs about yourself are optional. I’ll leave you with a practical exercise for turning the lights on inside your own house: What do you currently believe about yourself? Where did those beliefs come from? And are they still creating the life you want? www.monetnoctaris.com
17. Relational Sovereignty: I Am Me, You Are You, We Choose
2026/09/04
What would our relationships look like if they were built on choice rather than obligation? In this episode, I explore relational sovereignty: the practice of belonging to yourself while remaining deeply connected to the people you love. I talk about the invisible agreements that keep us sacrificing, rescuing, over-functioning, and abandoning ourselves—and how relationships become distorted when care is treated as a debt that must eventually be repaid. Drawing from my experiences with marriage, divorce, family, and lifelong friendship, I explore what happens when one person is committed to self-awareness while the other is committed to preserving their self-image. We talk about releasing the responsibility to regulate or rescue other adults, choosing how much access someone receives to you, and allowing people to be disappointed—or even misunderstand you—without surrendering your truth to correct their version of the story. Sovereign relationships don’t require us to merge, keep score, or continually prove our love. They allow us to say: I am me. You are you. We are both free—and we choose. www.monetnoctaris.com
16. Who Decided This Was Normal?
2026/08/21
Who decided that a workweek should look the way it does? That productivity matters more than being alive? That employment should require access to nearly every hour of our lives—or that love, commitment, ceremony, and a legal contract must all mean the same thing?  As I reenter the job market in pursuit of greater financial sovereignty, I’m becoming increasingly aware of how many of the rules governing modern life were inherited rather than consciously chosen. We treat them as fixed realities, but they were created by people—and what was decided by people can also be questioned, revised, and eventually replaced. In this episode, I explore what it means to participate in systems that are clearly breaking down without abandoning ourselves to them. I talk about burnout, late-stage capitalism, the human cost of treating people like productivity machines, and the shift from a win-lose paradigm toward structures in which people can genuinely thrive together. I also bring this questioning into the personal realm, examining the assumptions we inherit about marriage, commitment, and what a meaningful partnership is supposed to look like. We may not be able to change every circumstance immediately. But we can recognize what is false. We can stop confusing what is customary with what is inevitable. And we can give ourselves permission to imagine—and eventually build—a world that supports human life rather than consuming it. Sovereignty begins when we ask: Who decided this was normal, and what would I choose if I knew I was allowed to choose? www.monetnoctaris.com Follow Monet on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/monetnoctaris
15. The Frequency of Sovereignty
2026/08/14
What does it mean to be sovereign when the circumstances of your life are not completely within your control?  After returning from California with my children, I found myself facing a truth I hadn’t expected: the kind of sovereignty I need most in this season may be financial sovereignty. After ten years of working for myself—and after a deeply damaging experience with my last employer—considering traditional employment again has brought me face-to-face with everything I once believed a job would require me to surrender. In this episode, I explore the difference between external freedom and internal sovereignty, why choosing stability does not necessarily mean abandoning yourself or your dreams, and how our choices change when we finally understand that we belong to ourselves before we belong to the world. Sovereignty doesn’t require perfect circumstances. Sometimes it looks like asking what you need, honoring your non-negotiables, listening to the wisdom of your body, and refusing to remove yourself from the equation—even while living within systems you cannot yet escape. And sometimes, the most sovereign choice is the one that gives your dreams room to breathe. www.monetnoctaris.com
14. Participation: Coming Down from the Tower
2026/08/07
At some point, healing has to become living. In this episode, I’m exploring the final stage of the Sovereign Human Pathway: participation. After years of learning how to survive alone, trust myself, and stop depending on anyone else to save me, I’ve found myself facing a different kind of challenge—allowing myself to come back down from the tower and participate in my own life again. With my birthday approaching, I’ve been reflecting on the last several years: leaving my marriage, rebuilding my life, grieving what I thought my future would be, and becoming so hyper-independent that not needing anyone began to feel safer than being seen. This year, celebrating my birthday—and simply allowing the people I love to celebrate me—feels like a radical act of allowing myself to be loved. Participation doesn’t always look like a grand mission or public contribution. Sometimes it means re-entering the village after coming back to yourself. It means allowing the person you have become to be witnessed, loved, and affected by other people—and trusting that your coherence has a ripple effect. There is life on the other side of collapse. Sometimes our contribution is simply becoming living proof of that. Join me for The Reclamation Circle on August 16 2026 at 7 pm CST. Learn more and reserve your spot here.
13. Embodiment: The Point of No Return
2026/07/31
In the Sovereign Human Pathway, embodiment follows disillusionment, disentanglement, reconnection, and coherence. Coherence is the willingness to admit what is true; embodiment begins when we make choices that allow our lives to reflect it.  In this episode, I share the story of the point of no return in my marriage: the years of confusion and self-abandonment that preceded it, the moment I finally admitted the truth aloud, and the conflict that made something inside me go completely still and say, This is over. I didn’t have an exit strategy or know how every consequence would unfold. I only knew I could no longer sacrifice my life to preserve the structure surrounding it. Embodiment is where sovereignty becomes more than an internal state. It asks us to act on what we know, accept the consequences of no longer abandoning ourselves, and begin building a life that includes us at its center. This is an episode about crossing that threshold, grieving what cannot come with us, and discovering what becomes possible when we decide that our lives belong to us. If you are approaching a threshold of your own—within a relationship, vocation, identity, belief system, or any life that requires your continued self-betrayal—I also introduce the Reclamation Circle, a live virtual gathering for honest reflection, guidance, and collective witnessing. 12. I Learned to Be Content Alone. Now What?
2026/07/24
After leaving an toxic marriage, losing soul connection she loved deeply, and spending a year deliberately alone, Monet arrived somewhere she once thought impossible: contentment.  She no longer needed a relationship to fill the silence. She had built a peaceful life—one without emotional volatility, self-betrayal, or a man at its center. But when love returned in a form that carried real potential, that peace began to reveal another possibility: had independence become safety, or had it also become somewhere to hide? In this episode, Monet explores the threshold of coherence—the point at which reconnecting with desire is no longer enough, and we must decide whether we’re willing to reorganize our lives around what has come alive within us. She speaks candidly about abandonment, chosen celibacy, hyper-independence, the terror of loving someone she could actually lose, and the question underneath it all: Can I allow partnership into my life without abandoning myself again? This is not a story tied neatly in a bow. It is a reflection from inside the threshold—where love is no longer an abstract possibility, and choosing it means accepting both the risk of loss and the deeper promise to remain with yourself, whatever happens. www.monetnoctaris.com Download the free Sovereign Human Pathway Work with Monet
11. The Dreams That Wait for Us
2026/07/17
For years, I barely sang—not on a stage, not professionally, and eventually, not even to myself.  Music had once been at the center of my life. I began voice lessons as a child, earned a degree in vocal performance, and spent years singing professionally in San Diego. But as I built my life around marriage, motherhood, and survival, I slowly moved myself outside the center of my own dream. By the time I stopped singing completely, even trying to sing along with a Disney movie would make me cry. After leaving my marriage, I hoped freedom would restore everything I had lost. Instead, I discovered that changing the environment only creates the conditions for restoration. The body may need time to believe the door will remain open before desire feels safe enough to return. In this episode, I share the story of losing and gradually rediscovering my voice. I explore why creativity often disappears during prolonged survival, why we cannot force ourselves to reconnect before the capacity exists, and what it means when appetite begins returning on its own. This is an episode about music, but it is also about every dream, desire, and part of yourself that went dormant while you were trying to stay alive. You are allowed to want again—even before you know what the wanting will become. 10. When “Everything Happens for a Reason” Stops Being Enough
2026/07/10
What happens when a spiritual belief that once helped you survive no longer feels true?  In this episode, I trace my gradual disentanglement from the frameworks that shaped my spiritual life—from growing up in an unconventional spiritual place of worship, to immersing myself in past-life regression and New Age spirituality, to eventually questioning one of the beliefs I had clung to most tightly: that everything happens for a reason and is always for our highest good. For years, that belief helped me make sense of suffering, psychic upheaval, heartbreak, and profound uncertainty. But it also became a way of bypassing pain I wasn’t yet ready to feel. When life finally forced me to confront the role of free will—and the possibility that some painful things are not divinely orchestrated lessons—my worldview began to unravel. What followed was devastating, but also deeply liberating. This is a conversation about spiritual bypassing, the human hunger for certainty, the beliefs we use as life rafts, and the freedom that becomes possible when we stop outsourcing truth to a doctrine. I share what “post-spirituality” means to me, why relinquishing certainty has brought me closer to the sacred, and how questioning our beliefs can restore our inner authority without requiring us to abandon mystery, guidance, or meaning. Disentanglement is not about replacing one rigid worldview with another. It is about becoming sovereign enough to hold paradox: painful things can happen without being for our highest good, and we can still be guided, supported, and capable of creating meaning from what comes next. If you’re beginning to question the beliefs, identities, and frameworks that once held your life together, download the free Sovereign Human Pathway. It will guide you through your own process of disentanglement so you can release what no longer feels true and return to the authority of your own inner knowing.  Testimonial Contest Through Monday, July 20, you can receive stackable coupon codes for current/future offerings by sharing any of the following: $11 off for leaving a review on Apple Podcasts and rating the new podcast on Spotify To receive this credit, please do both, since Spotify currently only allows a star rating. 9. When Six Figures Became Self-Abandonment
2026/07/03
What happens when you finally reach the milestone you were taught would make you feel safe, successful, and free — and instead, your whole body says no? In this episode, I’m talking about disillusionment with success: the kind that comes when the business works, the numbers grow, the goal is reached… but the life underneath it is no longer sustainable. I share the story of building a six-figure spiritual business while overriding my body, over-giving to clients, blurring the lines between service and self-abandonment, and trying to keep scaling inside a model that was slowly burning me out. I also speak about the moment everything finally became clear: success, as I had been taught to pursue it, was not sovereignty. It was another system asking me to leave myself behind. This episode also marks the bridge from disillusionment into disentanglement within the Sovereign Human Pathway. Because once we see the illusion clearly, the next question becomes: what are we still organized around that no longer belongs to us? I also share, in real time, how this is shaping the way I’m reopening my one-on-one work now — with stronger boundaries, more self-trust, and a very different definition of success. For me now, success is not endless growth, constant scaling, or proving my worth through exhaustion. Success is having a life where I can breathe. www.monetnoctaris.com Download the free Sovereign Human Pathway Book a Soul Guidance Session Follow me on Instagram Follow me on Substack
8. When Polyamory Became Self-Betrayal
2026/06/26
In this episode, Monet Noctaris explores disillusionment through the lens of polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, bisexuality, coercion, and the quiet ways we can use “expanded” frameworks to betray our own knowing. This is not an episode about why polyamory is bad. It is an episode about what happens when a relationship structure becomes a place where boundaries are crossed, needs are distorted into demands, and self-abandonment gets spiritualized as growth. Monet shares the story of coming out to herself more fully, opening her marriage, realizing she had been overriding her own body’s wisdom, and later repeating the same pattern inside a soul-level connection she desperately wanted to keep alive. Through it all, she traces the moment the spell breaks — the moment when disillusionment stops being devastation and becomes the doorway back to self-sovereignty. For anyone who has tolerated mistreatment in the name of being evolved, loving, open-minded, spiritual, progressive, or “not controlling,” this episode is an invitation to stop abandoning yourself to be loved. 7. Disillusionment: When the Spell Finally Breaks
2026/06/19
In this episode, Monet begins breaking down the first stage of the Sovereign Human Pathway: disillusionment. Disillusionment is the moment when an old story, belief system, relationship pattern, or way of living stops making sense. It can feel like grief, anger, confusion, a dark night of the soul, or a quiet internal realization: I cannot keep doing this anymore. Through a deeply personal story, Monet shares how a framework that once helped her reclaim her worth eventually became something she used to override her own intuition inside a relationship and family system that was causing harm. She explores the difference between questioning inherited beliefs and using “self-help” to gaslight yourself out of what your body, nervous system, and inner knowing are clearly telling you. This episode is for anyone who is beginning to see through an old structure in their life — a relationship, belief system, parenting pattern, career path, spiritual framework, or inherited identity — and wondering why everything suddenly feels so painful, lonely, or impossible to continue. You are not broken. You are being invited into greater coherence with your life. The Sovereign Human Pathway is a free audio journey and digital workbook for those moving through this threshold. 6. The Sovereign Human Pathway Is Here
2026/06/12
In this episode, Monet introduces the Sovereign Human Pathway: a free audio journey and workbook created as a map back to yourself in a time when so many people are feeling the old ways of living, relating, working, and surviving no longer fit. Building on the previous episode’s exploration of the collective return to coherence, Monet names what many are feeling internally: the inability to keep pretending, white-knuckling, compartmentalizing, or participating in lives and systems that feel fundamentally untrue. She walks through the six stages of the Sovereign Human Pathway — disillusionment, disentanglement, reconnection, coherence, embodiment, and participation — and explains how this framework can help you locate where you are in your own journey of leaving the programming of the old world and returning to the truth of who you are. The Sovereign Human Pathway is available now as a free download and includes an eight-part audio journey, a fillable PDF workbook, and a full transcript so you can move through it in the way that works best for you. This is not homework. This is not another self-improvement assignment. It is a resource to return to as often as you need, created to support you in remembering your own signal and beginning to live a life you don’t have to escape from.
