How Focusing on Academics Led to Kids Who Can’t Read
2026/10/20
US government schools are failing. There's been a 24-point drop in math skills since 2009, and a 14-point drop in reading skills just since 2018. Why? According to a recent study, it is not a failure of academics – the real issue is student behavior. Chaos and violence in the classroom is an everyday occurrence that makes teachers' jobs "almost impossible." Kevin Swanson and Daniel Craig discuss what scripture says should be done to reform education. They talk about… - The unambiguous reason that teachers themselves identify for kids' bad behavior: it's their parents' fault - The place of corporal punishment…and whether it can be delegated to babysitters or daycare workers - Why anyone should have been able to predict that bifurcating character and academics would lead to disaster - What should be done about teachers' job satisfaction dropping from 62% to 18% in only 15 years - The three fundamental pillars of successful education that must be constantly woven together – and how government schools split them apart instead Got a topic you want us to cover? What the Government Funds, the Government Controls: Raising Kids Who Trust God
2026/10/12
Confidence in public schools has fallen to an all-time low of 32%, down from 62% in 1975. In France, rioters have burned down 24 schools. What happens when the socialist state can't deliver what it promised? Kevin Swanson sits down with Danny Craig to talk about the collapse of the system, and what Christian parents should do about it… - Why France's school riots, Spain's rent protests, and Detroit paying students up to $1,000 to show up all point to a system in collapse - Why socialism is an idol, loved only until it fails to deliver - 400,000 evangelical children in Colorado schools, and why pastors need to take off the gloves - Why vouchers come with strings that tax credits don't - Raising children on obedience, work, and service, so they look to God and not the government Got a topic you want us to cover? 2026/10/09
Top 5 Things Kids MUST Learn in Homeschool 5 Most [Essential|Vital|Important] Things to Teach in Homeschooling Homeschooling can be chaotic, and it's easy to let the big things slip sometimes. But…what ARE the big things? Kevin Swanson sits down with Daniel Craig and Bill Roach to discover what God says parents absolutely MUST teach their kids… - The real place of academics, and why music is actually more important than math - The fear of the Lord, without which any other knowledge is impossible - Knowing, believing, and living the Word in obedience - Loving the brothers we can see, so we can love the God we cannot - The duty of stewardship, loving and serving others diligently, even when we don't feel up to it - Honoring father and mother, not because otherwise they'll get annoyed, but because God makes this claim on their lives Got a topic you want us to cover? Moses Didn't Do It Alone
2026/09/13
Exodus 18 — Moses led millions and still needed his father-in-law to tell him: "This is not good." You need a Jethro too. This family integrated church lesson walks through Exodus 18 — Jethro's advice to Moses — teaching the whole church family, children included, that God gives us many trusted helpers, not just one, and that asking for help isn't failing, it's wisdom. Parents will see a model for building a child's circle of trusted adults; everyone will see why one person insisting on being someone's only confidant is a warning sign, not a compliment. Moses was judging every dispute for the entire nation of Israel, alone, from morning to evening. Jethro didn't rebuke him — he asked one honest question, "Why?" — and helped Moses see a burden he could no longer see for himself. This message applies that same pattern to marriage, homeschooling, church ministry, and raising children who know how to spot a true trusted helper from a false one. This verse-by-verse walk through Exodus 18 covers: - Why God gives children (and adults) more than one trusted grown-up - The warning sign when someone insists on being your only confidant - Moses honoring Jethro before ever receiving his advice - "Praise, Correct, Praise" — how to give correction that's actually received - Why a wise helper deflects glory to God instead of collecting it - How Jethro confronted Moses without lecturing — one question: "Why?" - The single point of failure every overloaded leader and parent creates - Delegation as obedience, not just good advice agreed with
So You Want to Marry My Daughter - Interview with Voddie Baucham
2026/09/10
A virtual family reformation is sweeping the nation, but as most people know, the foundation of the family occurs when a young man marries a young woman. But what happens when 70 percent of young men are not grown up by 30 years of age, up from 30 percent in 1970 (per Newsweek magazine)? The average marriage age is shifting significantly, and evangelicals and homeschooling families are facing many of the same problems as the rest of the culture. Kevin interviews Voddie Baucham, the author of the book, "What He Must Be, If He Wants to Marry My Daughter."

Empty Classrooms, Full Homes -The Demographic Divide Between Public Schools and Homes
2026/08/25
By 2031, public schools could lose another 3.4 million students to falling birth rates and rising homeschool numbers. Kevin and Danny make the case that this isn't just a trend; it's a values shift. They tackle the topics of trusting God with family size, wrestling with anger and control as a parent, and why every inconvenient child is a gift.
When Apologies Take the Place of Reconciliation - Interview with Rob Rienow
2026/08/13
Christian families have learned to say "sorry" and "that's okay" without ever touching the heart. Kevin is joined by Rob Rienow, homeschool dad of seven and author of Healing Family Relationships, to talk about what forgiveness actually requires…why time alone doesn't heal wounds…and how to keep bitterness from taking root at home.
