Dangers of Darwin and Dismantling Evolutionism. We are joined by Chris Rupe (Pres., Back2Genesis). Topics discussed include: Why Should Christians be Concerned about Evolution? Who was Charles Darwin? Where did Evolution Come From? How Christians Should Approach Evolution. Preparing Children about Evolution.

This sermon examines the first four days of creation in Genesis 1, emphasizing the literal nature of the days and the theological significance of God's creative acts. It contrasts biblical creation with various evolutionary theories, such as the Gap Theory and Theistic Evolution, arguing that Scripture provides a clear, non-evolutionary account. The discussion highlights the creation of light as a symbol of good, the firmament as the establishment of space and the water cycle, and the principle of 'after his kind' as a refutation of species mutation. Additionally, it explores the purpose of celestial bodies and the hidden narrative of salvation found in constellations, encouraging believers to ground their faith in the detailed truths of the creation account.

This sermon establishes the theological necessity of believing in divine creation as the foundation for God's authority and the validity of Scripture. It systematically refutes reconciliation models such as theistic evolution, progressive creationism, the day-age theory, and the gap theory, arguing that these attempts to merge biblical text with evolutionary timelines are biblically unsound. The teaching emphasizes a literal interpretation of Genesis 1, highlighting specific textual evidence like the phrase 'evening and morning' to counter non-literal readings. Furthermore, it challenges the cultural narrative that positions evolution as scientific fact and creation as mere religious belief, asserting instead that both are belief systems requiring faith since neither event was directly observed by humans. The message concludes by urging believers to level the playing field intellectually and spiritually, recognizing that faith in God's creative act is essential for a coherent worldview.
