Adult Bible Class - Life & Legacy of Ian Paisley

The sermon centers on the biblical imperative to give thanks in all circumstances, rooted in the unchanging nature of God and exemplified in Christ's life and sacrifice. Drawing from 1 Thessalonians 5:18, it emphasizes that thanksgiving is not merely a response to blessings but a vital mark of the regenerate life, distinguishing the saved from the unregenerate, and is essential for spiritual health, peace, and unity. The preacher illustrates this through Christ's thankfulness in moments of trial—during the feeding of the multitude, in prayer before raising Lazarus, and at the Last Supper—highlighting that gratitude flows from a heart aligned with God's sovereignty and goodness. The message also reflects on the 75th anniversary of the Free Presbyterian Church, expressing gratitude for its faithful witness, the ministry of key figures like Dr. Ian Paisley, and the enduring power of the unchanging gospel, which calls sinners to repentance and faith in Christ alone. Ultimately, the sermon calls the church to remain steadfast in proclaiming this gospel, humbly acknowledging that all fruit comes from God's grace, and praying for continued revival and spiritual awakening.
