Steve and Andy continue coverage of Micronauts first series

Kevin, Steve and Andy talk newer books.

Andrew would call this the zero issue, the minus one issue, or the Alpha but Phil and Kevin are here for prelude episode to covering volume 1 of the Marvel Comics series Excalibur (1988). We cover Andrew’s backlog of news before he starts the journey by covering some introductory material starting with the UK Captain Britain series. Then finding out everyone’s starting points for the characters of Excalibur.

Another classic two hander, Steve and Andy cover the first 12 issues of the Micronauts from their original run.

It's a classic Marvel Noise two hander this summer season as we keep the episodes coming in the tradition of Marvel Comics giving readers more issues to read with their biweeklies. Andrew and Kevin talk some recent news with the Star Wars/Marvel crossover and Uncle Scrooge before launching into foreign comic book shopping with comic stores and newsstands.

With Super Steve away, Andy, Kevin double back for Phil, who gives his own Spider-Man reading recommendations before an extended talk with spoilers about the Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie and some thoughts on the MCU in general peppered in for good measure.

Inspired by Listener Merrick, the gang goes nuts with recommendations of old Spider-man stories (mostly it is Andy going crazy with too many titles and all the Ditko). Mostly amazing, some spectacular and even a Team Up or Two. Too many titles to keep them all contained! Can you read them all? Have you read them all?

Marvel Noise Episode 467 - Micronauts! Marvel Manga verse! Planet of the Apes! Jay & Silent Bob! Avengers: Armageddon #1! Brand New Day! and more! Then Super Steve guides us through the issues where The Human Torch anchored the first series of Marvel Team Up.

The new era of Marvel Noise continues with Steve, Andrew, Kevin, & Phil. We've lured Phil in to talk about the recent Marvel/DC crossovers with Superman/Spider-Man #1 and Spider-Man/Superman #1. After that we talk about Fantastic Four #6-10, Mortal Thor #10, upcoming Indiana Jones collections, Micronauts train with epic collections. We finish the episode off with final thoughts on Daredevil: Born Again season 2 on Disney+.

Steve, Andrew & Kevin return from an unexpected exile in the Negative Zone and have emerged in a seemingly alternate reality where we are responsible for the infrastructure that makes the Marvel Noise Podcast and Website function. We’ve transferred domains, switched servers and are re-starting the Marvel Noise Universe in our own twisted image! In our admittedly late April episode, we share some Recent Reads (including Daredevil, Infernal Hulk, & Thor) and thoughts on Daredevil: Born Again season 2 on Disney+ before Steve indulges in the contents of The Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu Omnibus volume 2.

Sneaking in our March episode at the 11th hour for a Recent Reads Roundtable that includes some Marvel Legends Toy Talk, a classic Spider-Man console video game, What If?, a classic Transformers collection, Black Cat, a slew of new #1’s (Marc Spector – Moon Knight, Imperial Guardians, Wade Wilson – Deadpool, The Punisher, X-Men United, and Predator – Bloodshed), Iron Man #2, and The Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu Ominbus vol.1 that collects the first 18 issues of the black & white Bronze-Age Marvel Magazine!

It’s that time of the year, True Believers! Accolades are given, Grievances are aired: It’s our 2025 Cool-O-Meter Roundtable! Happy New Year!
